  1. 13-Year-Old Looks at Trees, Makes Solar Power Breakthrough
  2. Unit adapts to the host... So highly unlikely the unit would have any problem with CA as a host.
  3. The Super Soldier Serum has changed over time for Marvel but the modern version requires the "Vital Rays" machine to complete the process. The raw chemicals alone induces super human strength, near Spiderman range 10 tons, but over time effects the mind. Inducing paranoia and eventual insanity... Kinda like the Green Goblin... So you can play around with the idea of mutation and how the unit would react to the serum and whether or not it accepts it, purges it as not being part of the host, or alters it...
  4. Well, you could create an offline Wiki... http://lifehacker.com/291518/build-your ... -wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia: ... e_download http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/4-free-too ... a-offline/ Could be useful to have access to whatever you may need on the go... http://downloadsquad.switched.com/2007/ ... converter/ http://www.uni-bonn.de/~manfear/html2wiki-tables.php http://distributedresearch.net/blog/200 ... iki-markup Just takes a fair bit of space on your drive and the bandwidth and time to set it up.
  5. Well, there are still a couple of gaps and we don't know just how powerful Exceed really is. While the Zoalords we're still pretty much guessing on, using the Gigantic as a yard stick to guess estimate, while some Zoalords have still to show their true power... Most of the official data files are pretty vague on specifics and mainly just describe the general highlights of the abilities.
  6. The Guyver Merges with the host to create a hybrid life form. So has more in common with a Cyborg than a exo-suite. There is a comic btw, http://news.bigdownload.com/2011/03/17/ ... announced/ And some other stuff... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8f2s7jEcKwM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flV5vmEvk-c
  7. For reference... Crysis Wiki: Crynet Nanosuit Crysis Wiki: Crynet Nanosuit 2
  8. The Guyver is a organic based technology that merges with the host to form a new enhanced life form with the ability to tap the boost dimension for an unlimited supply of energy. Anything less than full control though results in the organism going out of control and consuming the host. While the Nanosuit from the video game Crysis is a inorganic nano-technology based super exo-suit. Kinda like the Accelerator Suits from the G.I. Joe live action movie... So has more in common with the ACTF Armors than anything else. Meaning the technology of the two are very different and aren't normally compatible. While the Nanosuit is based on nano technology, it's not to the level of the nanites that infect Cyber Guyver and now Robo Guyver.
  9. Depends, can the Gigantic fire the Giga Smashers and still adequately shield itself at the same time? Cause either Sho or the Zoalord could always do what Team 5 did to Guyver 3 before and just hit and destroy the smasher before it can fire... Shin's Zoaform seems to be like a laser array turret that can destroy anything within 2 km radius... at least when targeting multiple targets at the same time. Shin is willing to sacrifice himself though and Sho may still think of something to stop or re-direct Agito's attack... Or Aptom could have somehow defeated the Libertus and shows up to mess Agito's plans...
  10. Yup, very powerful guns... Though should let the others know that recoil is very powerful as well and they can potentially flip a vehicle they are mounted on... Something like a jeep and fired out towards either side of the vehicle can cause the vehicle to flip for example. Though Armored vehicles should be okay... Tactically for foot troops, carrying adequate ammo and the gun itself would also be hard to carry on foot and unlike the movies no human can hold and fire them without first bolting them in place. Standard Frag Hand Grenades in the face and especially into the mouth has been shown to kill Ramotith and similar zoanoids. So this should cause even more damage and can be more accurately applied for more consistent kills. Can go through body armor like it wasn't even there and even light armored vehicles. So should be very effective against pretty much all regular zoanoids. Have to watch out for over heating and jamming though and recoil means it needs a stationary position when firing. Though combined with 50 BMG sniper rifles for longer range and more tactical flexibility should make it pretty effective combo... Like take out the Bio-Blasters first and then mow down the rest...
  11. Anyone checked out the latest chapter release yet?
  12. Not too much, though a Gigantic added to the mix would make it more interesing, since while a WG's may be less powerful than Gigantics but aside from the Smashers and Power Amps the difference is not so great unless the Gigantic goes Exceed. WG's for example are extremely fast and can teleport more easily than a Gigantic. WG's also regenerate faster and are harder to kill even if defeated. Not to mention abilities that even a Gigantic doesn't have, like cloak, adapting to new threats and even developing immunity to things like Enzyme acid, etc. Like without using the back thrusters Sho had a tough time keeping up with the Branchai Bros and we've basically never seen the Gigantic go super sonic, even though we assume it can (at least with the back thrusters). Remember also as WG2's that both WG2 and WG3 can channel their CPMs internally for a 2x power boost to their strength and speed, and that can help them go over the 5x we're assuming for Gigantic physical strength. Still less than Kron's physical power level but two on one combined with their superior speed means they can at least hold their own for awhile and they were probably assuming Kron would be more vulnerable to physical damage if they could get in with their swords. Most Zoalord's we've seen haven't been immune to physical damage, most of them can just take a lot of damage as long as their Zoacrystal had energy reserves... Except for Purgstall who was more vulnerable to physical attacks. It's just getting past the barrier field that may be tricky but they can't keep that up forever and have to consciously raise it... Even then Guyot had trouble surviving a single Mega Smash from G3. While Imakarum could have been killed a few times by Sho if he didn't hesitate, like when he fired a Giga Smasher at him or when he had the Gigantic sword right up to his neck and backed off both times and of course Agito nearly killed him and would have if he hadn't run out of power and the Gigantic came off. Also Kron was toying with them as he could have just nuked them early on in the fight... Two Gigantics, especially if at least one would go Exceed, can pretty much take on even Archanphel. So yeah, that would definitely boost Agito's opinion on his chances... Though WG's being extremely hard to kill also means he can more easily risk going up against beings more powerful than himself and still expect to survive...
  13. The Alien Xenomorphs are pretty smart, like when Ripley threatened the Queen Alien's eggs with the flamethrower in the movie Aliens. The alien queen signaled for the others to back off. So it understood the concept of a threat. There is also the suggestion that they may retain racial memory and draw some from their incubated victims. Like there was also a deleted scene when the Predalien, in the second Aliens vs Predator movie, had skinned the Predators on the crashed scout ship and hung them up. Much like the Predators themselves... Or how the cloned Ripley had memories of her former life thanks to her hybrid human/alien DNA. So a Xenomorph that had come from a human has a better chance at bonding than a dog would with a Guyver unit. But it still is a question if whether their level of intelligence is enough for the Unit to recognize them as potential hosts or if the unit will bond with anything with more than a few brain cells We have to remember though that the Guyver effect is unique to humans, the creators only got 1/10th the Bio-Boost a human gets and though some of these other aliens may appear superior to humans doesn't mean the unit will work better for them than it does for humans.

  15. Would seem very unlikely, but something for Allen to ponder...
  16. You can watch the whole thing on youtube but here's the final battle scene for Out of Control,
  17. Gotta give more warning, like a week at least... If you go on at the same time each week then you'll get more people watching once word spreads... Great pic btw...
  18. Thing to understand is that the WG Body shield is not a simple barrier, it's an adaptive and reactive complex energy field system that's tied into the unit bio-energy, power wave energy channeling system, unit immune response systems, and hyper sensors. Effecting everything from unit physical integrity to ability to adapt to new threats. So it can adjust itself as needed and improves against attacks that have been used before on WG. The closest to what you're thinking of would be the Blast Field barrier shield. It's basically a worm hole and the barrier is the event horizon. But other than being a dimensional barrier, anything that can effect it can potentially penetrate and if focused then it can have a better chance of penetrating. And there are other types of energy shields, like Elegan's electric arc is effective at warping a mega smasher around it but would not effect a head beam or other laser based attacks, and of course WG's gravity shield...
  19. Basically... it's the amount of energy that matters. The job of the shields is to spread any attack out to weaken it, unlike physical armor energy shields can redirect as needed (closest physical example would be nanotech armor that can change hardness as needed), and any attack capable of damaging the CM also has to penetrate the defenses faster than the CM can react and escape into hyper space. The combination makes it extremely hard to destroy a WG even if the attack otherwise has enough energy to defeat the WG. Exceptions would be those capable of blocking teleportation, in which case the WG would be much more vulnerable...
  20. Some but it was vague so mostly accurate to the manga art... time of day and visible clock in the drawing gave time reference... We also have the example of the Bio-Boosted Clone Monster taking till night time before the severed forearm of G1 turned into the creature... suggesting a similar time frame. It makes sense that even if the Bio-Boost Dimension is energy filled that conservation of energy rules still apply. Like how Exceed can return to normal size without releasing energy like a mini sun. The energy has to go somewhere and it makes sense that the Bio-Boost energy siphon can work in reverse as well...
  21. There were other factors, not everything was revealed in the original story besides the fact that the WG2 Universe Gen were aware of the WG Time War event, they are after all the ones who put up the barrier surrounding the WG universe.
  22. Focused doesn't necessarily mean it can penetrate, shield are designed to spread the load... Also have to factor even a normal CM can react fast enough to target and fire off a head beam to stop a speeding bullet... The WG CM would require even less time to realize it was in danger and teleport out of the way, thus increasing the amount of energy needed to damage it before it can escape.
  23. Yeah, you can pretty safely assume the live action only had the guy swallow the CM to save on the FX budget, as otherwise they would have had to show the whole regeneration process. Parts like the tendrils sticking to the other guy's hand shows it was already regenerating as it was little more than just the CM just a few minutes before... As for regeneration, it's complicated but follows conservation of energy and how the Guyver draws energy from the boost dimension... Basically the initial Bio-Boost super charges the Guyver with energy directly from the Boost Dimension but normal operation relies on the Gravity Control Orb to provide a continuous but much smaller amount of energy siphon from the Boost Dimension. Even the organism itself, though capable of Bio-Boosting on its own was still a parasitic organism because it could not continuously siphon energy from the Boost Dimension. Using the Bio-Boost Monster as example suggests the Bio-Boost only occurs when host mass is being changed. While the other example is the G1 CM regeneration, it took about 11 hours before it started but once it started G1 was blasting his way through the Chronos building in a matter of minutes from the time the alarms sounded. Suggesting it took time to get enough energy to start the regeneration process, which in turn suggests it takes some energy to begin the siphon, but once it did that it was likely Bio-Boosted for faster than normal regeneration. Thus altogether it explains how mass can be increased during transformations but not otherwise. So for the Guyver, the rate of regeneration depends on how much energy the body retains and how fast the Gravity Control Orb can replenish it... Similarly, things like the Mega Smashers are also tied into this as they also draw power from the Gravity Control Orb and the time it takes to recharge them is similar to regenerating a lost limb. Though note damage, like from an Enzyme, can take longer as it directly attacks how the Guyver organism functions. Since the Enzyme acid is based on a Enzyme the Guyver organism itself uses. Like remember how fast G1 recovered from having his stomach slashed by Thancrus in the anime? Then compare that to when Enzyme damaged him... So you can say normally a Guyver can recovery from cuts in seconds, loss of a limb in minutes (probably around 15 minutes depending on how severe the damage), and total regeneration from just the CM in about 11 hours... Difference with a WG is when regenerating from CM the CM is usually already in the Boost Dimension and drawing power directly for the regeneration. So the 11 hours gets cut down to minutes... Difference for the Gigantic, besides increased mass the physical body of the Gigantic is partly a construct filled with energy. It's why it de-activates if too much power is used and also explains how it can go Exceed. So part of the power goes to just maintaining the Gigantic form and it of course also uses up that power faster than a normal Guyver. Though I theorize it's probably possible to use the same trick Sho used to trigger the Exceed transformation to also recharge and regenerate the Gigantic if needed... as long as the power amp crystals remain intact...
  24. Well consider... the basic concept of the Grakkens are they are an alien race that the Gen experimented on to help figure out how to control the Guyver effect, among other races they messed with, meaning the Grakken originally didn't have the Guyver effect and like the Uranus and Gen weren't boosted as much as a human host would be by the G-Unit. So while powerful, their Bio-Boost potential is actually less than a human host. So you could base a weaker Gigantic boost upon that factor... But they're bigger than humans, which compensates a bit for the lower bio-boost potential, and also compensate by augmenting their units to be more powerful than normal. So in a way they already are using enhanced units like the Black Unit. But the Black Unit tech can allow them to accomplish the same without a Gigantic type CM. Though the Relic CM are very adaptive and capable of altering their form, like when the two Navigation Spheres merged back to back before cocooning G1's CM... So could be possible I think for them to adapt and form a fourth CM layer for a Grakken Gigantic. But more likely they just adopt the regular Black Unit CM and form a Gigantic around that... Provided the Grakken would actually attempt to make their own Gigantic... Also mind for the Official Gigantic, the raw power may be a lot but not all the abilities are equally enhanced. Like the Gigantic has never been shown to be significantly faster than a normal Guyver aside from the use of the back thrusters. Like the battle with the Bronchi Brothers, they ran circles around GG1 before he finally resorted to the back thrusters. So the Gigantic may not be significantly faster than a normal Guyver and at the very least can't run at super sonic speeds. The power amps though would boost offensive abilities quite a bit...
  25. A) It'll take a heck of a lot of a power advantage to really threaten a WG's CM. Right now only Archanphel, Imakarum (if he's really Apollon), and a Gigantic's Giga Smashers are in the power range that can really threaten to do that to a WG. There's a difference between being able to defeat a WG and actually killing them or keeping them out of the fight for long! B) Most Zoalords don't all have a wide range of abilities, besides a couple of common abilities most are specialized much like Hypers and they rely heavily on the energy reserves of their Zoacrystal. C) The ability to redirect energy attacks has only been demonstrated by Archanphel so far. So that isn't a common ability either... D) Most of the Zoalords aren't as powerful as the Gigantic, which was created to take on Archanphel... E) WG will still be pretty powerful compared to regular Guyvers, can get blasted into hyper space and return in a matter of minutes, and unlimited stamina... So still powerful enough to be threats to most zoalords. Remember even Guyot, back when he was a full Supreme Zoalord was actually hurt by G3 firing a single Mega Smash at him and it took him time to recover. Meaning it's possible a full double Mega Smash may be enough to a kill most Zoalords and WG's are still significantly more powerful than regular Guyvers. Even against a normal Gigantic, though the WG now has less than half the raw power they still have some advantages... Like WGs can cloak, they are physically faster as long as the Gigantic doesn't use the back thrusters (though WG2's CPM boosted speed is still greater), the head beam is still more powerful as the Gigantic's head beam is only 5x with two 1x side orbs, WG's are physically harder to damage and regenerate far quicker, WG's CM's are harder to destroy, there is the battle collective when multiple WG's are together, and WG's gravity shield can help equalize a bit as abilities like the Gigantic's Power Punch (aka Gravity Knuckles) is based on gravitational energy. Not directly, but WG can still just charge it up himself or with a little help from other Guyvers and use it for super charged gravity based attacks. It'll just take longer to charge... Though other Zoalords do have some gravitational power, just not to the level of Guyot and Imakarum. The common ability to produce a barrier shield for example is probably derived from a common gravitational power as the Gigantic also makes a Barrier shield channeling gravitational energy to produce the EM field of the barrier. Problem... A lucky shot for a Zoalord would have to exceed even a casual shot from the Guyver Zoalord... Remember the WG CM has its own shield, on top of the normal WG body shield, and the optional blast shield, pressure cannon shield, gravity shield or WG2's CPM boosted shield. Not to mention it has to induce damage before the CM can escape to hyper space, which it can do lightning fast and whenever it detects an imminent threat capable of doing it harm the CM will react on its own for self preservation. There's a reason WG lived long enough to figure out the Gravity Shield against the Guyver Zoalord, besides Reed underestimating him and not seriously trying to kill him until too late, and most Zoalords aren't anywhere near that powerful. So even when not seriously trying to kill WG he still threw attacks at him that few Zoalords could even hope to match on their best day. Edward Caerleon for example, despite making himself nearly impossible to damage while basically hiding in a shadow dimension. His negative plasma energy ball blasts were hardly something a WG couldn't just shield themselves from and could simply wait the minutes it would take for Edward to exhaust his power and return to normal space.
