Well not that it matters, now that we're going to re-write it anyway, but the Grakken could easily have found out about Cori from either or both Martin and/or Baxter. It was just never explained. But correct me if I'm wrong but the Grakkens never had the Battle Unit. And previous knowledge of the Battle Unit makes no sense IMO, more than likely they just wanted to find clues to where Creator tech may have been left behind and her skills fall right into that category. Even if they knew where the Battle Unit was located, it was protected and Grakkens can't teleport on their own. So couldn't have gotten past the barriers that WG got past so easily. Not to mention what would have happened if they had been the ones to accidentally awaken VWG. Though that could have been made a lot more detailed and harder for WG but we were in a hurry at the time and didn't use many of the ideas we had planned for that part of the story.

This all breaks down to how Takaya has designed the Guyver. . . We all know the armor is "Bio-Booster" but how hasn't been really understood. It's more like how an amplifier works by drawing on a higher power source to increase the power of the lower power source. In this case the host is infused with energy from the Boost Dimension whenever the Guyver activates and power is maintained as a trickle charge is siphoned by gravity control orbs. Takaya took the Gigantic a significant step higher by granting it the ability to directly amplify the host unit power with the Power Amp crystals. Infusing the Guyver with even more energy and added control in order to use that power effectively. Even then limitation with the Giga Smashers showed the Gigantic to be essentially a capacitor of power. So Takaya has been working towards the Exceed from the very beginning, we just never saw it coming. Making the Exceed the true power of the Gigantic personified. But there are limitations. . . 1) It took an incredible will to bring it about, Sho not only ripped the Gigantic from Agito but locked him out completely. Sho, is rarely so strongly motivated. And though any Gigantic Guyver may have the potential, the will needed would be very hard to muster. Agito for example, had the Gigantic for quite some time and yet was never able to activate it. Though it may have had something to do with not knowing, the Guyver does enacts the will of the host and Agito's inability to deal with Sho at that moment could easily mean he does not have the Will to create the Exceed form. Further limiting it's possible future use. 2) It took time for the Exceed form to be created, meaning there is a limit to how much energy could be siphoned at any one time. Similarly with the Abyss weapon. So Brian is right that Dreadnought is unlikely to go Exceed, since he is already siphoning so much energy from the Boost Dimension. Even if he could, it would take even longer than Sho had and leave him vulnerable for a longer period of time. Just like how the Smashers, though powerful, leave the unit more vulnerable to attack. 3) Exceed needed the back thrusters to fly up, at least fast enough to catch up to Khan, meaning the increased mass makes it harder for him to fly. This actually fits with real life physics as mass increases at twice the rate of size. So even though density would not be too high, being mostly filled with energy, that the increased mass means speed is not proportionally greater but may be even less. 4) The Exceed still pales in comparison to Archanphel's full power as the power needed to destroy a asteroid the size of a small planet goes beyond anything else we have seen in the fit to date. But aside from Khan there really isn't a reason for Exceed unless Archanphel forces it. All combined with Brian's points on collateral damage and the rarity of opportunity means we are very unlikely to ever see the Exceed form again unless there is no other choice.

Quite a bit more vertically, a standard zoanoid of the 12 man strength range took a tank nearly vertically before it finally got squashed, as shown in the battle scene on X-Day. And a tank is far beyond the strength of 12 men to lift. So it was all bone strength that held the tank up as long as it did. Properly stressed, even normal human bone and be tripled in strength. And is how some are able to do things that would easily break the bones of the average person. The upper limit of human strength may be 800 to 1000 pounds but for short periods we are capable of more. This is because we only use a percentage of our muscle mass at any one time. But in life or death situations our brains can temporarily over ride the limitation and let us use 100%. Examples include a man pinned by a over 500 pounds stone slab about to slide off a cliff and at the last moment gets the strength to shove the slab completely off and stop himself from sliding off the cliff. This tore muscle but the bones held. Imagine then what someone who could normally lift that mass would be capable of in an emergency situation. Also strain can be spread across the body to further prevent bone breaking. Only when the stress is focused to a small area and in a direction the bone isn't designed to resist does it become much easier to break the bone. Zoanoids are of course designed for combat and thicker bones are proportionally stronger. Add steal like density and they can be extremely strong. So I'd say double or triple McAvoy's estimate, for the strength type zoanoids. The other types like Vamore would be much less.

vibratonal swords vs zoanoid bio armour
zeo replied to gelionlegends's topic in Guyver Science / General Science Lab Forum
Yes, Darzerb can be cut by the vibrational swords. He may have not been attacked with them but Zektole was and he has even tougher armor, yet he was easily cut as well. -
You could pad them? Just ask any Wii user
-
They're going to make them standard, like HD. So aside from new price, it shouldn't be too expensive.

7 pounds is just the average, it can be less or it can go up to 9 pounds or higher and this is in the direction of least resistance. Normally bones are designed much like egg shells, to resist force from a specific direction. So a lot easier to break sideways than up and down. Bones also have stress handling structure, which help absorb a certain amount of force by snapping on the cellular level, which is why you can land normally one time but break bone on the next jump because you've already used up the impact absorbing fibers. Zoaform bones are a little more than proportionally larger and are steel like strong.

Better see it in 3D, it'll still be 2 years before we upgrade our home TV's to offer similar 3D.

Alternatively, it could be just providing a specific modification to the host unit. So regardless of host characteristics it would provide only a specific boost. Instead of adapting to the host characteristics. Not the same as an Aceaer that just adds but instead provides a specific modification with a set consistent result.

Same reason the black hole doesn't just slurp everything up in its vicinity. It's dimensionally contained. Remember when XT first showed up and She nearly lost containment, bad things would happen and that was only a small loss of containment.
-
Netbook users would be 1024 x 600 and CULV users jump to 1366 x 768.
-
The chibi would be like a child version of the character, so perhaps around 1/5 the power level of the original. But they have the ultimate weapon, they are so cute that enemies would just adore them even as they get eviscerated I've been waiting for the next Chronicles update but this may take awhile, so maybe I'll post a select few when Brian is ready with the next fic release. . .
-
Hey, who wants these to be actual characters in a fic (complete with data files)?
-
Will they still sell 1-10?
-
Well, more "Orb's and Crystals" just adds more channeling and control but not containment. Rather, put more emphasis on the exoskeleton structure. Nova's have denser bodies and thicker armor than standard Guyvers.
-
Aceaer's basic HSL only powers itself, only a HSL enhanced Guyver can effect this and enhance the function of the Aceaer. So on any other Guyver besides a WG, or something similar to a WG, will only be able to add the normal Aceaer power to itself. Nova Guyver's CM's are the dimensionally compressed type, essentially twice the mass in the same amount of space for a more powerful CM. The Guyver Bio-Boost is enhanced via biological cold fusion to amplify the Bio-Boost effect. Black Nova further amplifies by using the singularity to increase conversion of mass to energy to virtually 100%. While the Nova Twins, are in between as their CM's are symbiotic to each other for additional enhancement while they are in proximity to each other for improved mass to energy conversion. So consider features that would add better containment and handling of the increase power generation for the physical design, as well as organs for more control and better handling of that power.
-
Nope, a black hole the size of a small seed would have the mass of a mountain range.
-
She is super dense, more mass means it takes more energy for the same percentage of regeneration. The other Guyvers don't have to regenerate as much mass.

Control Medal and Zoacrystal
zeo replied to jedi-guyver's topic in Guyver Science / General Science Lab Forum
Actually the Navigation Sphere's merged before the Cocoon was generated, so the process can be instantaneous. Only the reconfiguration and development of the Gigantic took time. . . maybe the Gigantic required rapid evolution as the description seemed to indicate Sho's body was liquidated and he basically reformed like an embryo and grew into the Gigantic. Unlike a normal bonding the Gigantic was granting abilities that weren't natural to the original Guyver form. But a normal bonding should be very rapid and we've seen the Guyver rapidly absorb compatible materials, like the Rogue Clone Monster got slurped up the moment it touched the CM. So the Zoacrystal could possibly also be a rapid merger. But since we've never seen more than a shadowy figure of the Guyver Zoalord concept in the Manga then we can't really say how Yoshiki Takaya imagines it would look like. -
Control Medal and Zoacrystal
zeo replied to jedi-guyver's topic in Guyver Science / General Science Lab Forum
Just conjecture on my part but it should adapt and possibly merge with it. The Guyver Unit is naturally designed to adapt to its host and it should be more than compatible with the Zoa-Crystal since both are creator tech and seem to share dimensional properties. We've already seen that 2 Relic CM's can merge into one and then reformat itself to link up with the pilot CM for example and the Zoa-Crystal is what makes most zoalords, zoalords. Waferdanos for example wasn't even human to begin with and took his hairy form the moment he was given the zoacrystal and it transformed him. Unlike the other Zoalords he was never processed. . . being a living forest would have made that kinda hard anyway. Combine the Guyver's ability to Bio-Boost (drawing energy from the Boost Dimension) with the Zoacrystals ability to store immense amounts of energy and you can see why a Guyver Zoalord would be so powerful. -
Based upon regular Guyver tech, Archanphel's unit is the closest they've come to Warrior tech. . . short of actually using Warrior Tech like Warrior Guyver Vamore, etc.
