What live-action series are you watching or have you watched?
odin replied to Toku Warrior's topic in Japanese Entertainment
I watched kabuto for a while but somehow i could not sit through it all, I may continue watching it some other time, I just switched to Akibaranger season 1 and now that I have finished watching gobusters I can enjoy it without comparing it and it really stands out on its own, it makes me wish that they did the same with an unofficial Kamen Rider, Now I have a Super Sentai fever and I can't seem to decided which series to watch next, 3 caught my eye which are Boukenger, Dekaranger and Hurricanger, I'm probably leaning more to Hurricanger but I would like to hear your suggestions for a sentai series. Super Sentai I have already watched: Gokaiger Gekiranger Shinkenger Akibaranger Go-busters -
I was not planning on doing Gregole at the moment but heck why not? here is a sample of him with Guyver 1 side by side, I just did it right now so it is bound to change, I don't feel 100% comfortable with the result, thoughts?

Thank you for the support, I don't feel comfortable doing anything kickstarter related at the moment, I would prefer to wait for a complete demo to be done before doing anything like that. Once the demo is done and if everybody agrees THEN I may consider doing a kickstarter but as of now I see it as unnecessary since at the moment (until the people that have offered to help respond) aside form ryuki, I am the only one who has been working with this project and I have already bought all the necessary programs that I need to do this. Speaking of which I have a small announcement, as of tomorrow I will be updating this thread every other day with content related to the game, tomorrow it is sprite related content such as the sprite stance of Aptom as well as some other common Zoanoids that will appear in the game. I may not update consistently as I should since I am currently dealing with me moving to the states soon but once I have moved I will maintain that schedule of updates, I'm very exited to get this done.

oh yeah I know who he is, he has been on a break for some time cause of personal stuff so I dare not ask him/her to make music for us yet.

weeeeeell, I got to see up to episode 7 of this new series and I like it but would not recommend it yet, it looks to me that the series is looking for a new identity with the new cast, everything seems more contained and the monster designs are very poor as well, sure they presented a new type of horror which is interesting since they are somehow tied to the new Garo who's armor has lost it's shine (it is more black than gold now) but the story is all over the place so far and there is really no explanation of what the hell is happening, not to mention that the other 2 makai knights that accompany the new garo are pretty bland, so until they up the pace on the story I will not recommend unless you are really interested in wire-fu action cause so far you don't get to see much of the armor in the series and this time it is all CG unfortunately. This series is not for newcomers since it depends on the viewer to know most of the Garo lore.

I agree but I'm sure that there are actors that have a perfect pronunciation to could have done this, but as it is I don't really mind it just seemed weird to me. I mean I'm not a Native English speaker and kids understand me just fine.

wow, I just noticed that a few people are wanting to help with this game, I'm so sorry I did not answer you guys sooner, you see I have been working hard to save up in order to buy the upgraded version of the program I am using which is Game Maker Studio Professional, with it I can create the game for different platforms including Mac and windows 8 which some people have asked me when I made my previous game, and now I have bought the program at last so now I can proceed to continue with the project as of today. @Vertexer- As I said in the first post I am using a program called Game Maker, if you are still interested you can go ahead and help out with the project, I need to see your work first so I can gauge on what I can give you to help out with.

I'm sorry I did not notice sooner, I could have saved you from your insanity, my condolences to you bro.

Power Rangers Super Megaforce - Ranger War
odin replied to PrimalNemesis's topic in Japanese Entertainment
in other news jefusion posted an article saying that jason simth - Casey/Red Tiger ranger from Jungle fury had written a few episodes for megaforce, that is pretty interesting, he has also posted on his twitter that he is watching Go-Busters and Kyoryuger so who knows? maybe those series will influence his writing for the episode. -

Power Rangers Super Megaforce - Ranger War
odin replied to PrimalNemesis's topic in Japanese Entertainment
It did not do it for me,neither did samurai for 2 reasons, I grew up with mighty morphin, loved the stories and how in school everybody wanted to take a role as a ranger, ( always picked red over green who is always the more popular one ) I did not know about Super Sentai until I started participating here in the forum (another that I'm grateful for in this forum) and when I got up to speed on what super sentai is I noticed at how very different they are, yeah...PR had the sentai fight footage but the rest was completely original which comes to my problem with the new saban PR it has lost it's identity the moment it wanted to be "closer" to the original material, that is not what power rangers is, I got turned off by samurai when I saw the same thing happening on from shinkenger scene to scene, sure they did the super samurai thing but honestly it was a little too late, I know it is just a kids show but so it was 20 years ago so that it is no excuse for them to be so lazy with the story, I mean with the cast that they used in samurai I came up with 20 different story plots at the top of my head that where better than the ones used in the show. All this laziness is going to end badly for them, they are even having trouble now trying to do their 20th anniversary which is supposed to be super megaforce where they use the Gokaiger suits, and they have planed to bring a huge cast of old rangers for cameos like they did in gokaiger, the problem? they are failing at it hard, they are sending very vague e-mail invitations to the old rangers and supposedly they will not even be payed that well, some of the actors say it is not even minimum wage, and I think about 10 rangers already declined (including David Yost, the original blue ranger) because of this since it will be a huge loss for them and the e-mail was just too vague not even addressing a specific person personally. The only one that I know will probably go to this anniversary is JDF cause he has mentioned a lot of times that saban only needs to ask and he will appear, heck he said he would do it for free since he only cares about is making the fans happy. what are your thoughts on this Super mega Force deal? -
Finally bought a month of xbox live on my real xbox account (been using my roomate's account for online) so if anybody wants to add me my xbox gamertag is odin2587, been playing Injustice for a while, the games i have are the following: injustice gods among us super street fighter 4 soul calibur 5 Tales of vesperia Fallout 3 devil may cry collection sega genesis collection and more but I don't remember the names at the moment. I like Ramirez as well, my only gripe with him is his pronunciation, I mean..I only know basic Japanese (barely) and my pronunciation is a whole lot better than his, but it is only a nitpick for me, I should not be surprised by it since foreign actors always have weird pronunciations in series like these. Love Kyoryu gold also, and I smile a bit inside when he finishes his sentences with "gosaru" reminds me a lot of kenshin. XD

While I respect your opinion I am going to have to disagree with you on most of what you have said, to me it felt very well paced and there was a lot more action than in part 2 which I consider the weakest of the 3, it is not by all means of the imagination but it IS to me one of the best marvel movies out there, it just amazes me how 50-50 the audience is with this film, I would expect it from something like amazing spider-man which has a lot of flaws but I did not expect it from this one after watching it, I mean I enjoyed it so much that I did not get of my seat to go to the bathroom (a first for me XD ) and the 2 and something hours felt like 1 hour. I would understand some people being pissed off by what it is revealed of the Mandarin but at the same time I respect what they did cause it is something you don't see often. I will continue discussing on spoilers now to defend what Matt said:

great movie overall it is not a masterpiece by any means but it is memorable and does its job with what it has, a lot of smart moments, specially with how they handle the villains, also the flaws it the previous movies had have been fixed here (specifically the final battle), heck I did not even notice that the movie was 2 hours long, I totally recommend this movie if you like a lot of action, great comedy and awesome acting from robert downey junior then this movie is for you. 9/10

I'm getting ready to go and watch the movie very early today, once I come back from the theater I will give my honest opinions about the movie.

Injustice : Gods among us, very fun game in my opinion, it does not feel like mortal kombat and it does not feel like street fighter, it is its own thing. I recommend it to any dc fan and if MVSC 3 is too much for you, the only bad thing about it is the players themselves at least to me they are ragequitting like crazy. It is specially satisfying when you beat someone who is spamming a lot projectiles and environments, my personal enemy is Deathstroke, which is funny since my main is Nightwing. XD plus there is A LOT of stuff you can do aside of fighting and the story is decent enough.

Very nice coloring, I like it.

I don't know you but I welcome you nonetheless, I hope to get to know you through time, welcome back.

Thanks for your theory ryuki, I did say that it is not a hoax but only because it was stated as such and because I found this information on other sites, I just can't imagine it being a hoax after so many years of research, but I'm not an expert on any of this but I just thought it would be interesting to discuss. Discussing about the bones, the specimen in the article is said to be 6 inches long and had lived 6-8 years being so small I'm guessing gravity here does not affect it as much as bigger lifeforms I mean, there are bugs that are bigger than this thing and they live in earth just fine, tho this is just me speculating hoping that this is real.

Found a more recent article saying that dna tests of the Humanoid has Human DNA and unmatched DNA which makes me really wonder who did it manage to survive so long. http://www.openminds.tv/scientist-says-atacama-humanoid-is-human-but-still-a-mystery-988/

I posting it here since I think it belongs here, anyways I'm doing this thread to discuss something that I just found in the internet and it is the finding of a humanoid body in 2003 in a remote Atacama dessert in Chile, its existence was not known until 2009 and then studied in spain, further studies were made by another team by 2012 and now they are showing what they have found so far, just to let you guys know, this thing is not a hoax based on the findings they have made although further research is needed to find out its origins what it is interesting is that the specimen is apparently lived 6 -8 years old and yet it is no more than 6 inches long. I will give the link with the full story here as well as a few photos of the specimen so you guys can read and give your opinions on it. I will say again, it is NOT a hoax. http://siriusdisclosure.com/evidence/atacama-humanoid/ AH-X-Ray-4-Crop.bmp
