  1. thanks durendal, I like the neko mimi. very cute
  2. well i didn't watch the whole movie, didn't have time, though i must say, the inclusion of the hollywood godzilla was incredibly entertaining. it was so funny how godzilla obliterated it in 5 seconds. "i knew that tuna-eating monster would be useless"
  3. ah that makes sense now. that godzilla did look really cool though. i'd love to see a new film like that. i love this following music. i watched some clips from final wars. godzilla is so awesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYThV560KcM
  4. what about this? the CG looks a bit suspect, but the rest of it looks pretty solid. prhaps this is just a tv commercial?
  5. thanks super existence. i haven't listened to this for a while. it makes my heart melt.
  6. this thread reminds me of the beauty of our mortality.
  7. ha ha durendal, i used to think exactly the same thing!! that takes me back 20 years. that second model is very cool as well. i think it follows what may have been the creators original intent, although.... i think it is very important to see godzillas eyes so i think on both those models, the eyes are too small.
  8. here's the picture stored on this server.
  9. that's funny. i just reached that opening sequence. very good time in naruto.
  10. that's interesting actually. since i am sure takaya san said in one of the interviews, he originally has the gigantic looking more like the branchai bros.
  11. I had another listen, yeah it's the part where i said "this boy, kit, is the worlds fighting hero.", it was more something like, this boy kitt and the worlds hero(soldier?) len. good ears
  12. yeah i think i am gonna work on changing our links and naming throughout our articles.
  13. i like this image that american movie godzilla, look like a trogg. his body way too small and skinny. it was like he was all arms and legs. and his jaw was too much like a big boot strapped to his face.
  14. woah! that is incredibly cool! I like it. i wonder if that will be a man in a costume, or maybe they will be using full CGI...
  15. we changed all these things to english. but i'm thinking, will people really be searching for these terms? is it not just being awkward to translate them if people don't actually know that is what they are looking for? if a person doesn't know what sentai means for example, maybe they won't click on a page called super squadron? and i think most of us say kamen rider rather than masked rider.
  16. that is quite fun i think it went on a little too long, I lost interest about halfway through but up til that point it was great fun !
  17. it says roughly... Kamen Rider! there is the mirror world, ??? fighting system, kamen rider fight against the mirror world, the two worlds will ruin each other, this boy, kit, is the worlds fighting hero. they will fight to the end. bear in mind, i may have mistaken some words for other ones. but contextually it does make sense.
  18. yuck. that is one ugly drawing. good job finding it though!

tv signal is far from simple though. first off you have to account for interference from strong electromagnetic sources such as solar flares, solar wind etc. the earths atmosphere has strong radiation etc. aside from that, the electromagnetic spectrum is a huge range of different frequencies and wavelengths. would they transmit in frequencies in a similar band to radio, or maybe they would transmit in gamma rays. then you have the question of how data would be encoded. data needs to be interpreted at the other end. to be able to guess what range we are using, what intervals we use, what the output would be intended as, shape colour, or whether the output be in sound form, or even if the output be intended for other different frequencies in the em spectrum .maybe their signal would be tailored for an image that was recorded in infra red light only. the reason we can watch tv is because we transmit in a certain format and we know what format that is so we know what our receiver needs to look for. an alien race would not have access to any of that information. this is why i said such a canvas would be more universal. a physical canvas showing a definite physical change, allowing for patterns and geometry etc would be detected no matter what form of sense you use to find your way around the world. even if a creature were to use sonar to view the world, they would detect the message left in such a fashion.
  20. looks like you found the shinkenger symbol i made.
  21. ha ha, wow, it has been rather interesting hasn't it hey kenji, you're a pillar of the community ^^/
  22. one of my favourite quotes is from beetlejuice. this applies to how i view demons and angels and other things usually reserved for fairy tales. i believe that under certain circumstances, humans may easily be able to sense the astral plane and view etheric beings. etheric beings would be things like magical creatures that don't actually occupy the physical world, only the astral plane. if you were fully aware of the astral plane, you would 'see' these things as plain as day. but as the quote says, the living won't see the dead. the dead, or ghosts, being the imprint of a human that sometimes remains in the astral plane instead of moving up to the spirit plane (or heaven). so, as humans don't usually notice these things, they are seen as hocus pocus. you can't detect the astral plane using technology. not yet anyway. one day maybe we could do that, but well... so well... it's not exactly talking about it scientifically, and scientists would say it is silly stories. but i think that these concepts are generally accepted by most people. i don't see why it should be branded as silly just because technology is not at that level yet. i think that demons and angels are ways that some religions use to describe certain etheric beings. of course some of them will align with what we view as good or align with god. some will align with what we view as evil or malevolent, or the devil. of course i think that other beings such as dragons, centaurs, unicorns etc, can be classed as being demons or angels. but it depends on each persons own view.
  23. i personally think that they could do with a bit more fleshing out. that's one of the few weaknesses to guyver's story. but anyway... I chose purgstal. i dislike his zoalord form because it looks really dorky, but i respect his character a great deal. he is resolute, chivalrous and wants to protect the people. he is a tiny bit dimwitted but that's ok, i forgive him for that since his heart burns so strongly.

can you think of any blank canvas that would be sure to get somebodies attention? to get the message across, i would expect it needs to be a place that is the constant attention of humans. and it needs to be large enough that the humans will not pass it by without noticing. and i guess it would be far easier if the canvas were reasonably flat and smooth.

i think the bonus of this kind of communication is that it is physical. sounds, operate on frequency. and humans are only able to detect certain frequencies. same with electromagnetic waves. we can only detect certain frequencies. the beauty of something physical is that it can be detected using more or less any frequency. so even if greys were to sense things using completely different frequency to us, they would still be able to detect a physical means of communication.
