i wouldn't appreciate fillers. so i wouldn't appreciate the movies. even if a filler is 'done well' I can still feel that it is somehow not right. it feels fake. i'll start looking for the shippuuden series then.

the fan in my computer broke. i got no money. now i thought.. i can teach english professionally. now i looked at the courses. the learn,, it is over £1000. that is teh top certification. CELTA. also, i would have to go to london. maybe teh top certificate is not necessary. but wouldn't i find it hard to get jobs if i don't get teh proper cert? how can i make a decent amount of money if i can't get the proper cert? how can i teach english to people if i'm not trained properly? thing is, I already teach english as a volunteer, so maybe i don't need certificates? If I am to work freelance then people can simply judge for themselves if i am teaching them well enough. and i have already had comments from fellow vuilontreers that i am very good at teaching. I am so frustrated.

how was it...? well i have to say i loved every minute of it! that is, apart from the bits of filler crap that filtered through. somehow managed to be subjected to the mask episode. the guide i looked at must have missed that ep. but i soon twigged on to the fact it was total garbage. how could i not. well, in some ways i think the pacing could have been improved a bit in some places. at times it seemed like they jumped into action again a bit too quickly. but i still thoroughly enjoyed it. I have to say i have seen some of the most mindblowing animation in this series. the animation in this is better than any other anime i have seen in terms of portraying speed and style. some of the most incredible shots, like when naruto punches sasuke for the first time on that 'lake' in the very last fight. just the movement and the way they make his eyes go, it's just so amazingly done. and the bits when rock lee fights, the skill they had to use an exaggerated camera angle to accentuate the speed, it;s very hard to exaggerate drawings like that and make it look good, but it looked so incredible, I've never seen an animation move like that. more to the point, i was so overjoyed to see rock lee return to health. to see him fight again make me so happy! the thing about naruto that makes it so great, is the amount of different and unique characters. it seems to me there is a type of character to suit everyone. the difference in personality can suit many different people watching and i think people root for their own favourite. so there are people who may be rooting for orichimaru. some will be rooting for kimimaro. some will be rooting for sasuke. of course i was rooting for rock lee all the way since i saw him fight for sakura in the woods of the exam. so... hmm, why do i watch a movie instead of a series? is it the same thing? I am reluctant to read the manga, since i will not get the music and the japanese voice actors.

finito. so i watched it all. apart from the fillers of course. fillers start at episode 136 so this is where i stop watching. shippuuden. how do i approach it...

under the video in the description, it says it's a drama called "death game park" airing on 20th april on BeeTV. it also says it is suspense action. then it says a bit about how they starred in their respective roles in decade and shinkenger.

but i already translated those..... i was asking for opinion mostly on my translation of vol 20 title. or did you see that i already did them and you are just confirming?

it's food for thought though, right? i mean, some of the comments may be seen as strange by some people, but it may make some of us reflect on our own thoughts about what is presented.

i see your point with the plurals, i'm not sure if it is true or not. i mean, in my view, 'opponent' can be plural as is. if it is a team, and acting concurrently, then i view it as an opponent. only when they act separately and not really a team ,then i think of as two separate opponents. maybe it was just a bad example, but i did try to make teh english more accecptible while also retaining the initial meaning as closely as possible, for example, I changed "strongly increase armour" to bio-booster armour, i changed "giant beast" to "draglord" and "star rescue master" to "saviour lords", "super king" to "high king" and "war female god" to valkyria. edit, I just realised you were referring to the chapter titles at that point. I did not translate those. i think those are more vigorously translated. which is all good, as from what i can see, it retains the original meaning and yet looks good in english. i think with those, the grammar can be refined and it should not be a problem.

it's the translations really. grammar is not a problem for me. especially since if you change the grammar, you change the meaning. so i really need it checked by somebody with similar experience as myself. there are a few people on here with good japanese knowledge. of course, this is regarding the titles of the books. if you want to fix grammar elsewhere that's all good. about the viz titles. they are on there. for the viz books that are available, we have included titles.

the point is though BK, you already know what it means. and besides, to hear the japanese name of the attack, that's what they put the audio track on there for. I have the same gripe. I don't tend to memorise names when they are translated once, then the next time it is shown in japanese, I am expected to know what it meant? i don't see why watching a japanese show means i have to learn a list of vocabulary. even somebody like me, who is already familiar with a lot of japanese terms, some of the things they leave untranslated is just ridiculous. and the thing about sounding more 'cool'.. I know it's not just you, but seriously.. does anybody actually consider that maybe it's not SUPPOSED to be cool? and that's why it is called that? the japanese are seeing a name that looks a bit silly and humerous. why should westerners not get the same thing?

I've been translating the titles of these from japanese to english. so we have the official english title printed in english on the books, and surprisingly, the japanese titles are quite different in some cases. i would appreciate a quality check of this if anyone can do this for me please. most notably book 20 which i really struggled with the grammar.

wow, well it's been a while since i wrote anything in here. do you think i've been idle? no, not I. so now i'm up to episode 115. i've covered that entire story from the chuunin exam through to the hunt for tsunade and now onto the sasuke retrieval mission. this anime just keeps on. it doesn't lull (whilst i avoid fillers ) and the story is always pretty powerful. for sure everyone has a favourite character and I'm just loving rock lee. yeah you probably saw my avatar and already guessed. there are so many great characters but rock lee just gets into my soul. In a way, it's not the naruto show, it's the rock lee show, I wait for the episodes where rock lee appears so i can see how he is getting on. right now he has had his operation and now he is in rehab. I can't wait to see him fight again and give his nice guy pose. so what are your favourite character? anyway.. specificaly where i am at right now.... chouji just finished his fight with odebu. very touching moment there. quite upsetting. now shikamaru knows what happened, then they came across teh next guy. spiderdude. neji has told the others to go and now neji is fighting with spiderdude. that's pretty much it. so.. not long to go now. about 25 more episodes or something like that.

one piece is one of the big major series isn't it? I believe alongside naruto, bleach and dragonball. well in that case, I am interested i it, but no, have not watched it or read it or anything. all i know is that it's got a girl in it. and that pretty much describes 99% of all media entertainment so... ehm yeah i'll watch it some day, but not while i have got naruto on the go.

tokyo tosho don't have it yet methinks, i just got it from momo. oh boy, I'm loving this so far I'm really really enjoying it., it's not like any of what they have been trying to do. they have perhaps been trying too hard lately.. but this is juts great. i love the music and i love the designs and i love the innocence. I don't know what this reminds me of.. not any sentai i have watched. actually, i dunno it makes me think of some of teh older sentai that i haven't seen. well i seen bits and pieces of course.
