finish dragonball. there's no point watching dragonball Z, when dragonball kai is basically a drastically improved version.

i wouldn't watch any english anime. i haven't seen any of that yet though. need to finish the first series before i do.

dude, he provided a credible source. you can't really blow him off like that. I think one of the series writers is more reliable source than rangerboard.

yes, that's one of the major drawbacks of this franchise. but that's why i only recently became interested in this franchise, because dragonball kai is fixing what dragonball z broke.

as i had been talking about dragonball in here, I thought i'll add this here. I have watched the most fun and entertaining half hour of entertainment that i can ever remember last night. I got to the tournament and then it got to the match, kuririn vs jackie chun! my oh my, I am even laughing now thinking about it! that has to be the most most hilarious thing i have ever seen!! it really started to kick it up a notch a couple episodes early... like kuririn fighting bacterion.. and goku said to him " you have no nose" i was almost on the floor! I obviously thought that his not having a nose was just part of the art style... but then.. when seeing a later episode muten roshi sama made mention of the character that was "too serious for an oddball character anime" and then when the commentator asked him what happened in that flash.. and he said they'd do a slow-mo!!! HA HA HA that was so funny! and he even had him lifting him up and carrying him OMG this anime is just so much genius. It took me a while to get back to it but i've passed the mark now. the mark that confirms a series for me. when i have no more reservations. I am now a dragonball liker. not a fan yet but i think i may become one. one thing i have noticed though.. wow, naruto really does rely on dragonball a fair bit! I mean... they give a starting off story arc that basically builds up to one moment where they show how the main character has a monster like alter ego. then that finishes and the main character enters a type of tournament and during that tournament there is a suggestion of the characters secret powers again. and goku eats so much, and is childlike and kinda dumb in a way. I think that naruto is kind of like a remake of dragonball but with many different elements mixed in.

I'm thinking, naruto seems to be getting a bit dull? i think sometimes a series can get dull and it is a good idea to leave it for a while to let the episodes mount up and then hit it like a marathon. the manga is spoiling the anime i think. i have found that the more recent episodes of the anime have seemed very weak. but I think they seem weak because i already know the story and i am noticing the differences. although I have seen so far ahead now, I am going to know the story for quite a while ahead... so I would have to leave it for at least a year.

oh awesome I haven't played mine for a while. I think the earlier one was better. it was "we love katamari" and i think it was the second. now i have the third, "beautiful katamari" but i don't think it's as exciting. I'm glad you're getting a wii, I hope you have fun with it.

hmm, that gives you about 2 weeks to watch them all? wow, that would be one hell of a marathon!! i think eps 47 was released. I'll watch that later on.

no need to apologise, I really appreciate all the effort you have gone to. we've been without images for those volumes for ever anyway so it's actually a leap up if i use your photograph and crop the image for each book.

fighting games could be good..... if i could do well at them. honestly, I find most fighting games far too frustrating to be able to take out my frustration on them. it's kinda a misnomer where i'm concerned. well maybe i'm just doing the wrong ones. bayonetta drives me crazy. naruto drives me nuts. i end up slamming my hands on the controller, throwing it behind me and bouncing on my chair stifling my raging screams. it's because the bad guy hits you and there is no way to block it or dodge it. it's as if you have to know it is coming before it comes. I think i played a good fighting game once. where i could watch the enemy and learn from his movements. i think that was good. because i really felt like i had achieved something impressive. can't remember what it was.

well power rangers was not really much like zyu ranger. so i don't think this ought to be much like shinkenger. saying that though, the actor they chose for gold, does kinda fit in with shinkengold's personality. I thought they all looked like interesting choices... apart from red. he looks a bit too pretty. but then of course it all depends on how it is directed.

hmm, well i think you need to watch those missing eps or read the manga for that period. there could be something important you've missed.

thanks for the dates, I can't really read the kanji in that image. it's ok for now, I know how awkward cameras can be with things like this. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you're able to do some scanning.

awesome thanks. btw, I have the same problem. windows 7 and scanners, pain in the backside. a program called vuescan will solve any issues though. it supports most scanners. the trial version puts a watermark on images but i can edit those out. if you scan once the right way up and again upside down. oh and yeah, aside from the scanning thing, the larger picture for volume 2 is just so i can read the subtitle and translate it.

you've already seen that though dude. that's way back in the anime. episode 138. we're up to 173. unless you haven't been watching the anime either. but episode wise... it is really hard to judge. there is a lot to get through though. I think they have gotten to a stage where they can do roughly 1 episode per chapter of the manga. they can put a lot of fillers into the content of each episode... like the way they added those two extra characters with konohamaru in that recent episode.
