Ok guys and gals, I can apply for allowing the board been viable inside a mobile app by the people who design the software behind the forum (so in other words in the future if this works out you can simply click a icon on your phone for the forum). The issue is the NSFW section (the adult section) of the site simply is a no no and will result in the application not going through. So this is a heads up that by next weekend if you for whatever reason want a copy of what is this section of the board now is the time to grab it. Next weekend I will be removing that section of the board.

OP NOTE: For those that are not aware. Japan-Legend.com is now managed by the WarriorGuyver.com staff. Our goal isn't to see Japan Legend fade away which it could have easily done last year but to continue keeping it up and running, host it and to fix issues with the site and to see it grow. The Guyver Information Page is going to replace the Stars Guyver Page on the front page of the website. Here at the important points for the new site to live up too: 1) People new to Guyver/ the site and that aren't going to know about Stars Guyver Page. That site has being down since 2002 and hosted here since 2003. Calling the site Guyver Information Page is simple and removes confusion. 2) The old website and the current Stars Page run by me hasn't being updated in a long time and doesn't even have info about the 2005 anime. I was thinking that alot of other forumns I've been to possess roleplay sections where fans can come up with their own characters and storylines and play them out for fun, perhaps we could that here as well? It may help attract more Guyver fans to the forumn AND it would give us an excuse to place our own OCs into play. We could do scenes within the storyline of the original Guyver universe from the manga or we could try doing stories with the Warrior Guyver & W'kar universes (if their creators are okay with that). Is that possible for us to do here

It seems that I can't post linked pictures with thumbnail preview via standard forum embed code? Is there other way around to post a huge number of linked thumbnails? Because I want to share a lot of photos. EDIT: tried this in Firefox and Chrome.

The site currently runs on version 4 of the Board. V5 was just released and as part of renewing the license is now avilable. One of the up coming weekends I'll be pushing it through.

I saw something that worried me a little. a member had replied to an old topic with useful and relevant information and even a picture that had effectively been requested, yet was chastised for it. I understand that necroposting can be frowned upon in many places, but this forum is not generally active so it concerns me that taking this stance is something that this forum really does not benefit from. if anything, we want to encourage more posting, right?

Hello all members, Due to recent BOT activity I'm going to be doing a purge of all accounts created in the last 3 months that have a ZERO post count. This will be happening in 2 weeks time. If you are a new member of the board and are reading this, introduce yourself and then the account won't be purged. FYI Next Month I'll be extending this to all Accounts on the board over 2 months old that have never posted (this is to both tidy the database and free up names to people who might want them). Members though who have signed up for the translations will be excluded from any purging.

I've created this new section for the forum. For the moment it is locked as the website hasn't gone online yet. For the moment any discussions about this section of the website can be had here in this topic and it will be moved into the new forum once the website goes online.

I found a catch of old Guyver.Net icons for the forums that used to be there. I've updated the board today with ones that were relevant to Japan Legend As you can see though there wasn't enough of them to fill all the sections. If anyone would like to see more / different ones or would like to create something new and custom for the board you're more than welcome and can post it on this topic.

Normally I'd post this in the website update thread but not everyone reads that section compared to the main section of the messageboard. I'm approcing a crossroads that will in the end make big changes to Japan-Legend.com so am looking for input from people who visit the site no matter if they are new to the website or old timers. Basically that type of board (IPBoard) is a lot easier to admin and manage. The messageboard is now running on the latest PHPBB and has being restored and updated. Next weekend I look to customising a little and getting back some of the old WG smiles etc to make it feel a bit more like home.

I'm moving from 1and1 as the hosting provider for WG.com. During this process there might be down time of a day. The message boards will be disabled once they are backed up ready for the move.
