Ah, cooking. Nobody actually taught me how to cook. When I was small I always helped out in the kitchen and that's how I managed to learn how to prepare meals. You don't actually need new ingredients to come up with new recipe. You just use whatever you get and improvise. French toast for example. Just beat up some eggs, put some milk and sugar, dip some bread in it and fry it. Or beat some eggs, mix some vegetables, a little salt and a pinch of pepper and some cheese and then fry, now you have an omelette. Change the vegetables to ham or something similar and you will have a different kind of omelette. Looking at the cookbook will be very expensive because they will ask you to buy this and buy that. What they don't usually tell you is that you can substitute some ingredients and still taste the same. For example, apples are expensive in our area, so to make apple pie, we substitute apple for gourd, and you won't know the difference. (Of course how you prepare this plays an important part) Also, if you have left over rice, pop in your frying pan some eggs, salts and chop some left over hotdog and you get fried rice.

Some people say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. You need lots of energy to start out your day, and one way of getting energy is to eat a healthy breakfast. Normally it is recommended that you eat the most breakfast, average amount for lunch, and a little for dinner. The logic here is that at night, you don't spend much energy because you are going to be sleeping, thus you won't be burning much calories. I usually take my breakfast at around 7 am. I used to wake up at 10-11 in the morning and eat brunch instead, but it makes me feel sluggish for the rest of the day. My favorite breakfast so far is a Hungarian Sausage. They taste way much better than regular hotdogs.

Based on thefirst pictures shown in this thread, their visors looks like the kanji for the element they represent. Yellow - Earth (土) Pink - Can't see clearly but I can make out Heaven (天) Green - Tree (木) Red - Fire (火) I've no idea what the blue one is but is sure has a vague resemblance to water (水)

Well for grits here a wiki for it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grits As for oatmeal, it's composition is mostly oats. So when you cook it, it has a porridge like substance. For comparison, when you eat it, it tastes like a tiny cornflake soaked in chocolate. And an added comment on BK's post. If you eat Banana's, won't you be resorting to cannibalism? Additionally, sometimes I eat sausages and salami. Also Ryuki, if you are going to live in a foreign country living alone, you will need to learn to cook, as this will help save on food expenses. You also might want to take note that in asian countries, there is a high percentage of Men who knows how to cook. Besides, cooking is a plus factor for the ladies.

OMG! You guys actually made a blog. Now this will be interesting.

If you don't want to try the powdered miso base, then why not make your own? I'm sure there are tons of site that tell you how to make a wide variation of Miso Soup. Also for breakfast, I don't have a staple food. Sometimes I eat cereal, sometime I eat rice, there are times when I eat sandwiches. Porridge also can be served as breakfast. Right now, I'm eating chocolate oatmeal.

5 Minute Management Course. Lesson 1: A Man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower, when the doorbell rings. The wife quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs. When she opens the door, there stands Bob, the next-door neighbor. Before she says a word, Bob says, 'I'll give you $800 to drop that towel.' After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob, after a few seconds, Bob hands her $800 and leaves. The woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs . When she gets to the bathroom, her husband asks, 'Who was that?' 'It was Bob the next door neighbor,' she replies . 'Great,' the husband says, 'did he say anything about the $800 he owes me?' Moral of the story: If you share critical information pertaining to credit and risk with your shareholders in time, you may be in a position to prevent avoidable exposure. Lesson 2: A priest offered a Nun a lift. She got in and crossed her legs, forcing her gown to reveal a leg. The priest nearly had an accident. After controlling the car, he stealthily slid his hand up her leg. The nun said, 'Father, remember Psalm 129?' The priest removed his hand. But, changing gears, he let his hand slide up her leg again. The nun once again said, 'Father, remember Psalm 129?' The priest apologized 'Sorry sister but the flesh is weak.' Arriving at the convent, the nun sighed heavily and went on her way. On his arrival at the church, the priest rushed to look up Psalm 129. It said, 'Go forth and seek, further up, you will find glory.' Moral of the story: If you are not well informed in your job, you might miss a great opportunity . Lesson 3 A sales rep, an administration clerk, and the manager are walking to lunch when they find an antique oil lamp. They rub it and a Genie comes out. The Genie says, 'I'll give each of you just one wish.' 'Me first! Me first!' says the admin clerk. 'I want to be in the Bahamas' driving a speedboat, without a care in the world.' Puff!: She's gone. 'Me next! Me next!' says the sales rep. 'I want to be in Hawaii , relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pina Coladas and the love of my life.' Puff! He's gone. 'OK, you're up,' the Genie says to the manager. The manager says, 'I want those two back in the office after lunch.' Moral of the story: Always let your boss have the first say. Lesson 4 An eagle was sitting on a tree resting, doing nothing. A small rabbit saw the eagle and asked him, 'Can I also sit like you and do nothing?' The eagle answered: 'Sure, why not.' So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the eagle and rested. All of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped on the rabbit and ate it. Moral of the story: To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up. Lesson 5 A turkey was chatting with a bull. 'I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree' sighed the turkey, 'but I haven't got the energy.' 'Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?' replied the bull. They're packed with nutrients.' The turkey pecked at a lump of dung, and found it actually gave him enough strength to reach the lowest branch of the tree. The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch. Finally after a fourth night, the turkey was proudly perched at the top of the tree. He was promptly spotted by a farmer, who shot him out of the tree. Moral of the story: Bull $#!t might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there... Lesson 6 A little bird was flying south for the winter.. It was so cold the bird froze and fell to the ground into a large field. While he was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on him. As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, he began to realize how warm he was. The dung was actually thawing him out! He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy. A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate. Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him. Moral of the story: (1) Not everyone who $#!ts on you is your enemy. (2) Not everyone who gets you out of $#!t is your friend.. (3) And when you are in deep $#!t, it's best to keep your mouth shut!

Really? In our area, married couples pay lesser tax, and having dependents will grant you tax exemptions. While having children will give you more exemptions. Based on the tax process in our region, one would conclude that the government is pro-life. Meaning that the more you have children (up to four), the more benefits you will have. Perhaps the main reason why proposition 8 was passed was because of the limitation on procreation. I'm not saying that gay couples can't have a family. That would depend on what kind of society they have. If the goal of gay marriage is simply to live together basing on love to for another, I fail to see the point why a marriage should occur. However, if the gay couples wants to take up the responsibility to take care of one another and make a family, like adopting a child, then I can say that a marriage would work. Laws governing gay marriage is just a paper and simply represents a physical manifestation of that union. In olden times, marriage contract does not exists.

Wow, "it's getting hot in here. (So take off all your clothes)" Ok, before this discussion gets any hotter, I would like to get something straight. I'm actually confused as to which stand you guys are on. Because as far as I understand it, what we are debating here is whether you are anti gay marriage or pro gay marriage. Obviously Kenji is pro gay marriage because of how he showed his distaste to proposition 8. Of course there is the grey area, meaning remaining neutral. But if you are neutral, then there is really nothing to debate about. And from the way I understand the posts above, Zeo is in the grey area explaining the principles of marriage while Ryuki misconstrued Zeo's post as anit-gay marriage. Is this correct?

Well, no, because that was part of the background story which made up the story of the series. The last time I saw something like this was in Zeta Gundam. I'm not sure if there was any in V Gundam because I slept throught the whole series while watching it. But I did remember the characters dying like flies in V Gundam.

This is probably the first time that I'm seeing mass murder in a non-UC gundam.

A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales. The teacher said it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human because even though it was a very large mammal its throat was very small. the little girl stated that Jonah was swallowed by a whale. Irritated, the teacher reiterated that a whale could not swallow a human; it was physically impossible. the little girl said, "When I get to heaven I will ask Jonah". The teacher asked, "What if Jonah went to hell?" The little girl replied, "Then you ask him".

There is one thing that is a necessity for marriage. And that is Responsibility. A couple can live under the same roof, have a child together, but they do not take responsibility for one another, thus you can't really call that a marriage, much less a family. Making a family is a result of taking the responsibility to take care of one another. Why do you think a guy would usually marry a girl which he fathered a child? Responsibility.

True about the difference in soceity then and now. The question is: is society ready for that yet. Even now, we still have not yet eliminated the discrimination among races. Wether a law is passed or not, there will still be people who are purist and shun the mere idea of this. Sure, there are states that allow same sex marriage, but you have to consider the society that they are in at the moment. Their soceity already accepts "gay" as a norm. It's not a perfect world since everyone has different opinions. Unless everyone learns to accept one situation, matters like this will go on in endless debates. Then again, before such concept would be accepted by everyone, there have to be a catalyst to trigger the acceptance, like an event, which based on history are pretty violent in times. This is something similar to Martin Luther King and his revolution for equality towards civil rights.

Not sure if that's genuine or not. but I do remember discussing something similar when Kiva was about to come out. And for the attached picture, here's what it says: green text at top left: Everything, will become clear on January issue. blue text at top right: For the Masked Rider, nothing like this before, a new development has started. What can we really expect? For the details, wait for it in January! text at bottom: Kamen Rider what will happen! lolz, like that did anything good.

Ingenious things do come about from outrageous ideas. Also it is from mistakes that people learn to improve themselves. But there are exceptions to these kinds of situation. Sometimes people commit mistakes, that is fine, but if people commit mistakes over and over again and still fail to realize what went wrong, and even to the point that common sense is no longer common at all, then you really need to admit that there is something wrong there. I truly believe that common sense are becoming uncommon nowadays.

Well, for one thing, like zeo said, what purpose does a marriage serve for gay couples? I guess this would depend on how your society see gay couples. And for one thing, is marriage that big a deal when there are divorces left and right? Usually couples arrive at marriage to start a family. But if the gay couple opt to adopt a child, how would that impact the psychological state of the child with his peers. When all his friends have a mommy and a daddy, what does the child have? Unless of course, the society supports this kind of environment that it will have minimal effects to the psychology of the child. Should we move this to the theories sub-forum? I'm sure there are bound to have heated debates regarding this.

And here's another of Kagami Saki. Her pics sure are hard to find.

I'm sure most of you guys are familiar with Kagami Saki. she's the actress who portrayed Maya in Kamen Rider Kiva:

Oh my goodness. Is that really Maria that Obata drew? It shattered my image of Maria and makes me want to think loli. Is it intentional that he drew like that because of the similar gothicism of Deathnote and Castlevania? His work in Hikaru no Go is totally different from his designs in death note. The second image does suit the game. Still I like Kojima's art better. Making vampires Bishonen is sorta appropriate. Why else would women fall head over heels for a vampire?
-
Is it me or does the cover of Castlevania look extremely close to Light Yagami. Didn't Obata even bother to make the designs less similar so it wouldn't be obvious? It's screaming "Death Note Artist". I like the images of Ayami Kojima better. Her artwork blends rather well with the concept.
-
Would be great if they used the image art for Richter. The posters of Richter looks great, but the in game sprite makes him look like a cave man, it's just like how Alucard imagined Richter when he met Maria in the castle. I gotta say, that encounter was funny. They never did able to duplicate the success of Symphony of the Night.

I'm not sure about the english title. But I think it was Yu Yu Hakusho the Movie: Poltergeist report. Released in DVD back in 2006 by Central Park Media.

Also for reference which I think everyone already knows: Doujinshi [同人誌] = Fan fiction (Fan Fake?)

I heard that they will be porting this to the PS3. Is that really true? I am currently replaying the game on my PC because my PS1 already died on me and my PS2 is starting to die on me. Besides, I can't seem to play an English PS1 disc on my Japanese PS2 console. After watching a few videos on Youtube, I learned that there are still some things that I haven't explored in the game yet, like the heart refresh glitches. I also would like to try and finish the game without the use of the cheesy Crissaegrim. And by god I just realized that there is a faster way of leveling the familiars. Not to mention a way to immediately raise the attack power of the Muramasa.
