  1. Why is it that all the releases I see are either MKV or MP4. Don't they have any love for old fashioned AVI anymore? Oh wait, shinsen released an AVI version. Let me retract that.
  2. I was under the impression that guyvers draw their energy by siphoning from the boost dimension. Perhaps the time/space continuom in the boost dimension is totally different from ours.
  3. There is this group scanlating the chapters. I think they are down to 2 chapters, as they released chapter 173 just a few days ago. I think the group is called ryColaa.
  4. Well, in Gundam F91, lances were the standard weapon of choice of the Crossbone Vanguard, particularly the Vigna series.
  5. Let's see. Original Gundam was Char Aznable, the red comet. Z Gundam has Quattro Bagina, actually a poorly disguised Char Aznable, and instead of wearing a mask and the eyes exposed, this is the other way around. He wears sunglasses. Gundam F91 = Garozzo Rona V Gundam = Chronicle Asher G Gundam = Schwarz Brueder Gundam W = Zechs Marquise Turn A(way) Gundam = Harry Ord Gundam Seed = Rau La Cruise Gundam Seed Destiny = Neo Loanorke
  6. Was there ever a movie made that pitted Godzilla versus Ultraman? Also, you guys seems to be missing Mothra.
  7. I take it that Grahams not going to be called Graham in this season, but instead will be using an alias, and would be the mysterious ACE pilot of his faction.
  8. Justice friends? Is that the combination of Justice League and Super Friends?
  9. If I'm not mistaken, anime clubs usually show fansubbed videos that are still unlicensed. For me, I always watch it subbed, sometimes raw. I just can't stand the dubbing voices.
  10. That mask guy certainly looks a lot like Graham.
  11. Wow, you must have a lot of bandwidth to DL that much. For me, after Code Geass R2 and Macross Frontier, I am staying tuned to the second season of Gundam 00. I'm getting more picky on watching shows nowadays due to time constraints.
  12. Well, if it is A-laws, could it mean ABOVE-laws?
  13. Wait, are we pitting Movie Guyver versus Manga Guyver, or we are pitting Shou Fukamachi vs Sean Barker. Because if you put aside the difference in g-units, I think that Sean might be able to up one over Shou. That is if they have the same unit. Also, are we talking about pre x-day Shou or post gigantic Shou? The difference in resolve will also impact the results.
  14. Some Anna Kaneshiro:
  15. I don't mind about the quality issues. As long as they stick as close as possible to the translations. It's a little bit difficult to watch something where what you read and hear are totally different. So far, I have no qualms with speedsubs, I just don't like to get inconsistent with my archives, since its really a pain to rename and sort them.
  16. Ok, I'm not going to post half naked woman this time as some people might see me as a pervert. Here are some fully clothed (well sorta) pics of Maria Ozawa:
  17. Do note that Suki is the casual form of love, which I'd like to translate as "like". The kanji really means fondness and is casually used instead to denote personal feeling. The deep love is called "ai" [愛], which is much more closer to "love" and is seldomly used. The Japanese mostly say "I like you" as that is something similar to "I love you" in enlgish only a litte milder. They only use "ai" to denote a deep and passionate love. I know, it's the culture.
  18. I wish there would be a decent group that can sub this fast with quality. I'd hate to have different subbers for one series.
  19. Woohoo! It's coming this Sunday. I wonder who is going to sub this.
  20. Hmm.... explaining kanji like that would be a little difficult. Breaking down the kanji to it's root components will be confusing as every root component has different meaning and if joined together will have another completely different meaning. This can be a good example for some kanji like mori [森] (forest), break it down that tree [木] (moku) joined by another tree will become a grove [林] (hayashi), and adding another tree to the kanji will turn it into a forest [森] (mori). If only all kanji are as simple as this. One example, Hagane [鋼] (Steel). It's a combination of the root components Kane [金] (gold) and oka [岡] (hill). Now combining these two, the apparent meaning would become a "mountain of gold" wouldn't it? Which is totally different from its true meaning. The only reason I see why you need to break down the root components is for the purpose of searching for it in the kanji dictionary. Ryuki, I'm sure your familiar on how to search for kanji in a dictionary. But for the benefit of everyone, I'll explain this. As mentioned above, kanji's have a root component. Each root component has a number of strokes ranging from 1 to 17. As the traditional dictionary sorts the kanji in order of number of strokes. Then after you find the root component, you then count the strokes of the remaining components and search it in the subsection of the root component that you just found, where kanji with the same number of strokes are listed, and you search for that kanji in that list. It is really difficult to study kanji as you need to memorize thousands of kanji. Not to mention double that since kanji have two methods of reading (Kunyomi and Onyomi). Not even the Japanese themselves can memorize all the kanji. However, if you grew up learning chinese, it will be much easier for you to learn the kanji as Chinese characters are 90% similar to kanji, since Kanji is derived from Chinese, hence the onyomi reading. I have to admit, when I translate the Guyver VDF, I need a dictionary by my side because all that damn techinical stuff are hard to comprehend. I'm a mathematician dammit, not a scientist.
  21. I think there is something we all should remember about this. The Creators tested the Guyver unit on a human out of curiosity and the results were not what they expected. I would like to believe that they would not be able to factor in the pregnancy of a Human female. For one thing, does the Creators even have primitive methods of mating? Yes the Control Metal serves as a computer of the human body, imprinting the biological data of the host upon initial bonding. Thus returning the hosts biological status at that point upon every de-boosting. So any changes made in the physiology of the host would be returned to it's original state. This is what I wanted to point out about the scars after de-boosting. However, this option can only be viable if the condition that Sho and Agito hasn't aged a day since their first bio-boost. Would anybody like to defend that case?
  22. And finally the last few pics of the set. Good Night!
  23. One more pic to finish the first set: And another set:
  24. Here's another set of Hwang Mi Hee:
