reading some comments seems to be that we assume Apollon is going to fire a projectile attack... ''plasma swallow bullet'' ( even though it says bullet!!!) could be some kind of attack to 'swallow' Guyot up and transport him whever Apollon wants.. its along shot but possible... but yeah it kind of looks like Sho is going to have to engage Apollon to stop him destroying loads of people... forget the Gigantic , get the XD out, go back to the forrest and squash the helmet wearing bug!

well seeing as this thread has been revived I might stick a few things that catch my eye in here ( despite the fact I said I gave up collecting figures about 3 years ago I seem to have caught figuarts fever aswell as a few other things ! and im all the poorer for it!!! ) heres the latest DBZ figuarts - only took them about 4 years to release it!

lost unit I know its not a priority for you but in future maybe.... I know that you have some guyver models .. you could always try setting up a lamp for the light source direction and that may help you with learning about light and shadows for your artworks, just an idea... also do you have a grand plan for doing all the double page spreads??? if so it would be super awesome. but how do we go about putting these in the tanks? can you give us the tank number and pages when you do these awesome things?? this Gigantic one is great and I also loved the gigantic dark one you did before. good job!

BFC Guyver looks OK, not really had a big play with it , but I think Figma will work better assuming it will be more dynamically poseable! a heads up to those buying these effects parts...none of the stage acts shown in the publicity shots ( the clear plastic arms and bases) come with the effect part itself, which sucks because it costs about £20 for 3 of them.... mine are all used up on other figures and I bought this for DBZ figuarts really, but I had to get the Guyver on there just to see!

I don't think Aptom will die. I mean what the heck is going to kill him?? it would have to be an all out Archanphel attack (when hes not sleeping!) As for Agito - Agito who? haven't seen that guy in a few tankobon! seriously though, I can see him reverting back to good (if he ever really went 'bad') and dieing a noble death.

excellent stuff Lost Unit ! ive done a little redrawing etc on some manga (and I mean alittle!) and it can be a hassle to tweak things just right so I get how much you can do to one image- you've done a good job, keep going look forward to seeing some in future releases maybe....

thanks for that comment Yuki .... this is probably why the thought has been in my head but not acted on it and didnt say anything! i think i knew deep down it wasnt a viable idea, but hey you cant blame a dude for trying!! well now that idea is put to bed the only way around it that i started to do was this: 　 　 incase you cant tell what ive done is print out the text from the vdf and stuck it into the original book... it could be better , but at least i get some of my wish, a physical book i can flick through and understand... only thing is its going to take flippin ages to do the whole book and lots of figuring out sizes of text ... oh well thats the price of being a Guyver otaku

i already have the vdf hong kong version. I don't intend on buying the Japanese version aswell just so I cant read that either. I like to have physical copies of things hence I have all the viz graphic novels after buying single release issues when they came out, chuyang yi books and the rest of the volumes in Chinese and Japanese...aswell as the orginal vhs tapes from 94 - 95 when they were released in the UK, then the release on dvd , the 2005 tv series on DVD various BFC figures etc. to be honest i think ive supported the franchise enough.... this isnt about taking from the creator, its about enjoying the book as a BOOK after all the hard work put in by the creator and the advocacy for translating it and typesetting it. if it wernt for us fans there would be no series so its supporting the creator by pleasing (probably only avery few)fans!

I didn't want to taint the VDF thread with this in case it gets shot down, so I started a new topic.... ive been thinking of this for a while now and I see that the VDF scanlation is now complete (thanks to guyverfan for the sacrifice of opening his sealed Japanese version ) so..... Have you ever considered that we could get the book printed and bound?? There are various websites where you can upload images and have them put into a photo book, after a quick search ive found bookprinting uk , inky littlefingers, mixam, blurb, (all in the UK i think).... I don’t know if theres any legal issues (certainly no more than the grey area of scanlation anyway) but its not as if we would mass produce them to sell for profit, we could ask on the board get enough printed for those who wanted them (set at the actual price of printing and enough to cover p+p) and that would be that, its really no different than printing it off at home for yourself and a friend, but the outcome would be a lot more professional and nicer. Im not sure how the quality of scans would hold up in printing, it might be something to look into I for one would really like to get the VDF printed in English. Maybe its because im old skool and like to be able to look at something in my hands rather than on a screen , and also I think the chances of it ever being printed in English is zero. so what do y'all reckon?...

if we do the novel maybe someone could colour the pictures? there aren't that many I don't think , it might jazz it up a little?

stumbled on this a video from wonderfest - guyver is at about 20 secs in.... for some reason theres a peter figure from dawn of the dead on it aswell ...wtf?? nothing new but gives a bit more of an idea to how the figure should look

I don't see the point in thinking what if it ended?.... what if I die tomorrow? , theres not much point in dwelling on it... anyhow - its simple if Guyver was cancelled or whatever.... we would mass a giant campaign involvoing guyver fans from all over the world to demand the story be finished!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so ive done some paraphrasing / editing type stuff to make the text flow a bit more.... I have taken slight libertys i.e not rigidly sticking to SOME of the words used where I thought it was appropriate to structure the sentence better or communicate the idea of the sentence better.( Im taking this seriously, but not as much as editing Tankobon scripts!) just a couple of things if anyone cares to help.. on p20 where the original '' with her words'' etc. is , I was wondering whether to write '' she had commented on Kiko's dialect, she had said that ,[ if you go to Tokyo and you talk your normal way you won't be able to communicate properly]... it seems as if that is what is being implied???? and the end of p 21 just has me stumped completely... I could kind of get something from it but I wouldn't be confident that it was the true intention of the sentences... p16 - 25 below

if youre talking about the stand alone complex series and 2nd gig then both of them are awesome. I like that particular spin on the GITS world better than the mangas and the films. get it watched!

ha ha yeah its like a bad (but good) reoccurring dream!!.. but hopefully this time around I think that would give us a possibilty of a continuation in anime, the fact that there is all that material previously puts it in good stead to be continued to cater for the established fans of the past 10, 20 or 29 years.. ah......... 30 years next year then, that could bode well for some kind of celebratory release of... well something, anything would do. the new max factory figma or old BFC line continued or some more anime?....... well maybe im dreaming ,but we can always live in hope.

I wouldn't be so sure about that for the reasons I stated above ... who wants to see a second season after 9 years? people like us!!!!!!!!!!!! its never too late!... all I would say to another season 1 is no thanks. if they were to do anything it may be OVA's that way they don't have to start a fresh to get a new audience and can continue the story, and then im sure Takaya would be on board to supervise.
