Thanks for the Miso tips Yuki… I am hopefully going to see my grandad on Sunday and on the way we might be able to detour to the asian/oriental supermarket so I can look for some of the ingredients, but if we don’t get there then I’ll keep it in mind for the future… I haven't had a hard boiled egg in years I might be brave and try it sometime as my taste may have changed a bit! speaking of noodles in the recipe, after years of eating noodles I only tried udon noodles the other week and while they were OK I much prefer regular noodles or vermicelli rice noodles, I thinki ts cause im used to thinner noodles and they are quite fat... on the congee, even if you don't have veg and meat with it you can sstill flavour the rice with things and it can be used medicinally, dependant on what effect you want from it... I tend to use carrot and or ginger as they balance eachother and are good for digestion... using just ginger gives it a bit of a kick if you put enough in... you just put a bit in when you start cooking... one important point - don't lift off the lid of the rice until you've finished cooking!!! or you will let the chi / ki disperse!!! and we don't want that to escape!!!!

I used to eat porridge and honey for breakfast everyday but ive had to change my diet... for some reason im now eating, cornflakes with sugar on!! I wash that down with some kefir milk... not made from cows milk though, I have goats milk.. I used to drink Soya milk for a while but I dunno i just feel better drinking the goats milk i do like poached scrambled and any other kind of egg - except for hard bolied - uurrrrrrrrgh, nasty. i wouldn't mind some miso tips, i bought some paste a bit ago and used it in some kind of fish broth thing i made up but i haven't done anything like that for a while. Has anyone had Congee Rice ( or 'jo' as my Chinese friend calls it?)...you can have it sweet or salted , i have had it for breakfast a few times when i needed to, but i usually have it as a late evening snack / meal... i usually have it plain but have had vegetables and chicken with it aswell in the past... only thing is you need to let it cook for at least 1hr 30 mins - 2hrs, on a low heat.

so glad I stuck Kiva out... im @ep 23 and the past about 8 episodes were quality, good story and action and some hilarious moments.. . no wonder people like Otoya so much, im not sure how/ if his character progresses but he is hilarious!! edit: one of my thoughts (that turned out to be kind of correct) may be a spoiler so i'll get rid of it!

so ive just watched ep 12 of Kiva... and it is getting more interesting and less laborious to watch... I now realise this Otoya guy is Wataru's dad - or in my head -''the violin dude''... he is quite a funny character actually since some things happened and IXA was introduced its become more intriguing, especially seeing as the ''modern day IXA dude'' is quite clearly a wrong 'un ... with the events of whats happened its quite clear that Wataru is looking for a father figure, hence him bowing a lot and asking for help from new sempai's all the time, I do hope we will find out the reason for this and why , presumably his dad wasn't around - I 'm guessing this is why he seems so weirdly introverted, shy or whatever... I wonder if being behind Kiva's mask takes all that away? im finding myself asking if hes like he is out of the suit then why does he fight?, why can he fight so well with Kiva? why does he even have Kiva? all this better get resolved!!

I wish they would just do recent manga events aswell. the dream would be... Guyver 3, Guyver 2f, Aptom omega blast, Apollyon, and a playset of the holiday home next to the pyramid with a sleeping Archanfel inside it - seeing as that's all hes done for a while! with the Stage Act 4 you will quickly discover - especially with a set up like that, that they don't go very far, as you only get 3 adjustable arms (+ 3 stationary but pretty useless apart from just holding figure in a standard pose) on the bottom of the effects base it has 2 different sized holes in various places,for the two different sized pegs on the act 4 arms. ... you should be able to do that pose but you'll probably have to balance the guyver in place if you only have 3 stage act arms

ive been thinking this too while editing... I agree with Lordspleach in that I think the 2005 anime is a good place to go for the names... or is it , surely Takaya was on board and passed them?? I dunno.. all I know is when the names of the Zoalords come up I always take a look in masterfile 3 to compare ( barcas and guyot are in masterfile 2, the others are in 3) a standard list would be good, though

im going to give KIva another go, I mean im only on ep 6 so i'll give it a bit longer I think 'cause Kamen Rider tends to grow at a steady pace, plus im intrigued by this Otya guy everyone seems to be loving!! ??!! i'll deffinately let you know when I start watching Den-O seeing as you guys have been singing Gaims praises and I haven't been watching it i'll be saving it for awhile... I did watch OOO's before I started KIva and I must say I really did enjoy it ... the theme song, Eiji's character, the conflict of Ankh, the concept of Greeds, the Kougami foundation -Kousei Kougami ''HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'' the suit, the coins , the powers, KR Births story,Hina chan, nice, Gotto Chan - nice!! I just loved all of it... this is why im having a hard time with Kiva , it s not an instant like... I tried kuuga ages ago but it didn't happen, ive already explained about Blade, W was instant like, Ryuki was an instant like, OOO's was an instant likeand when I say instant like I mean straight off I was intrigued and the like grew and grew as episodes went buy... im just not getting that from Kiva yet, but can I rule it out just yet?...

its funny reading your rant Yuki as it cant be denied that what you say is true...in fact ive been considering doing the same thing as I used to years ago, and that is just don't read for a year and have a volume worth of material to read at once or within a shorter time period ! back then I didn't participate in the forums and would wait for a tank release although when I signed up and started to post I thought I had better make the effort and read along and join in! but even now I can not / will not read a chapter until its scanlated, as for me it ruins knowing what is kind of going to happen before I can actually read the dialogue, so I still miss out anyway cause other people ''read'' the raws and I dont, so I miss the conversation anyway, so I might aswell wait even longer to read it....I dunno, i'm torn as what to do. it is twice as frustrating that Takaya has breaks and then recap chapters and then we get a small amount of pages sometimes!!! BUT I do understand why... if I was a pro mangak, if I was allowed I would probably work at a similar pace!! I can draw when I need to - but I am s - l - o w! he seems to be in the dream position of having a successful manga that fans are willing to keep on following and his publisher just lets him keep the same pace... good for him but not so much for the fans... anyway im not bashing Takaya I just wish he would hurry up already!!!!!!!!! as for manga in the USA and the UK it swelled and the bubble burst I guess... all genres and ages are catered for in Japan and pretty much the same in Europe, but here and there I think choice titles were chosen to be released and they cant last for ever or all have the popularity or longevity of DBZ etc. etc...

Yes Aether, I am from UK! Seems most Guyver Fans are!! Having been brought up on the OVA's from Manga Entertainment!! nice one dude! I remember , it was 1994... back then everything seemed so simple and all we had were these things called ''videos'' , they were £5.99 a tape each month - ah, what a year it was! I cant believe that was 20 years ago!! and i'm gonna throw in another emoticon just for the heck of it!!! back on topic... I bet if this line continues we will see Guyver 3 next But seeing as Max Factory like to churn out loads of female characters do you think there is a chance we will see Guyver 2F???

Thanks for sharing!! I've bitten the bullet and just ordered the Impact Gray Ver. from Nippon-Yassan for £12.96 including shipping! I think the concrete effect is more fitting with Guyver than the earth..........but I may get the beige one from amiami another time...... Now to track down the stands.....Looks like they got a re-release this month. had a play hard to pose it really and to get the effect positioned correct... it will probabl;y be better with the figma...

the goodsmile base is literally a piece of thin card board printed on and stuck on a plastic base... but it looks cool... in fact if some kind hearted soul on here gets one and could carefully take it off the stand they could scan it and it would be easy to make one from a scan..... I still haven't used the effect part to any great effect,as ive been too lazy to... its ok in principle but peeing around with it is another thing ...its too small for the BFC really I don't know what it'll be like with the figma ....I might have a play with it a bit more I think.... as for the tamashii stage acts you would want humanoid act 4 (as act 5 doesn't exist!! ) I think that's the best one really 3 is ok but slightly different.

well ive only managed to watch 5 eps so far... I was just having horrible flash backs of watching Blade - the first series I watched - and I literally forced myself to watch that , the second half was ok but the first half was ...not . but im glad I stuck with it, got into it a bit and gave the other KR's a chance... I don't want to force myself to watch something if im not going to enjoy it though!!! yeah Wataru is seeming to be a bit annoying, BUT i'm assuming theres a reason for his demeanour, and maybe that will be explored more ...is Otoya this other guy heroic guy with a better rider suit? I cant recall right now... im not sure, there probably isn't a need for it at the moment, I just thought that the KR series at least needed its own thread! I haven't seen Den-O yet , I think i'll watch 555 next and then Den-O I like going from the older heisei series then to the newer ones, It keeps things fresh I think ,as there is a distinct difference between the periods. I think W was the second series I watched and yeah, it is totally awesome!!

well, apparently that stage base will only be available to limited orders purchased through goodsmile. so i'll be trying my luck there first. oh man... I would like that stage base, but if I order from there im probably going to have to pay more customs fees on top of the already exspensive price....plus I cant even read the pages is it guaranteed that you get that base if you order from goodsmile? it says ''limited orders''... I can get it cheaper elsewhere and know I wont get taxed, so im not gonn athink of getting it from goodsmile if I wont even get the base!

so we don't have the toku section anymore and we have threads for the new series so I am just going to make a new thread to discuss anything to do with past series of Kamen Rider... showa or heisei period! I am on my 5th Kamen Rider series... I started watching KR Kiva... hmm, now is it just me or is it going to stay as crap all the way through?? I mean its ok, the whole violin thing is whack, but I do like how its skipping from the 2 time periods, and just the plain weirdness of how an entire chunk of a building just seperates without completely ruining the structural integrity of said building, and turns into some big church monster thing that eats monsters after they are already defeated... the designs ok but that little bat companion rider driver thing is a bit annoying aswell.... I don't know, for those of you who have experienced it whats your opinion???

the reason he couldn't transform was probably subconscious PTS... but as we have seen he got over that . I honestly don't think he could have got this far having depression or suffering from anxiety as these things can cripple people... the type of things sho has been through either create a person who can flow with situations and do their best without it creating to much mental anguish or the polar opposite a person that will not function normaly at all... there maybe people who suffer with these kinds of things and function to some degree but I don't think there is any middle ground in Sho's situation he has killed his own father, he is the main target of a world wide organisation consisting of monsters and very powerful demigod like beings and he has the fate of humanity in his hands... hes battle hardened now. sure he'll be worried about Mizuki and Tetsuro but hes not going to stop until he gets them back.... if they both died then maybe PTS would kick in after the end of the entire saga as he had lost the most important things to him , BUT short term im guessing we would see some tears, but i doubt he'd lay in bed doing nothing or be too scared to leave his hideout, he'd bioboost, call the Gigantic, Exceed and then smash the crap out of all of Cronos and Archanfel.

some of the older films were good , BoG was ok, but i'd like to see something a bit more ..well, serious! the comedy in DB was really in dragonball not in Z so I wish they would just concentrate on a good old action film where Goku kicks ass!! it is a simple formula to execute surely!!!! what I do really enjoy is seeing DBZ in the modern animation style, (still maintain they should have reanimated all of kai like that) even though I love the original series as it was, it is cool to see the characters in the new anime style...

I'm big into Hip Hop. None of that new 'Hip Pop' crap, but old school, golden age and underground Hip Hop. Rakim, Big L etc nice one my man..I grew up on all that (despite living nowhere near new York ! ) , wu-tang, smif n wessun, Gangstarr, KRS, Nine,Lost Boyz , all the D.i.T.C, , I mean c'mon Jeru's album starts with the intro from fist of the north star for flips sake!! and O.C's first album is a classic!! etc etc.....BUT my tastes have changed and my views have changed on it all but I still cant help but love the boom bap beats. I don't listen to that much music anymore really and nowadays when I do I just listen to instrumentals!!
