Guyver Weapons against DC / Marvel Heroes & Villains
Toku Warrior replied to Toku Warrior's topic in Philosophy
Understandable. And I appreciate Ur answers. So, in the long run, it actually all just depends on what universe within the DC and Marvel multiverse that the Guyver gets thrown into for certain situations. Other than that, most of the unit's more powerful weapons wouldn't do much. -
Yeah, I know I haven't been around in a long time. But, this is a question that's been bugging me. Now, due to the difference of laws in different universes, some beings show a potential to withstand the weapons of a Guyver Unit. So, I want to bring some of my questions up to get some opinions. If U have a question that you would like answered, feel free to use this thread for it, as long as it relates to the topic at hand. And I put this in the Science section due to how science might play a role in some of these answers. Question 1 In relation to DC Comics, could a Guyver's Megasmasher or even a Giga Smasher vaporize Superman, Supergirl and/or Bizarro? Question 2 In relation to Marvel Comics, could a Guyver's weapons do any sort of damage to Wolverine's Adamantium skeleton?

Oh, not this SOPA BS again. Every year for the past 2-3 years they do this. Can't they just let it go. I'm an American and I can't stand how my country tries to act like the world-wide police force. I swear, they just need to take all of the old skeletons that run Capitol Hill, the Senate, etc...and give 'em the boot and put in a bunch of fresh young minds who know what they're doing and what actually needs to be done and aren't concerned with lining their pockets with taxpayer's money. Will this ever happen.....probably not.

Well. it must also be taken into account that when Shou fought Enzyme 1, he was still a newbie to fighting and had only been dodging Chronos for no more than 1-2 weeks, so he had very little practice with how to use his Guyver unit. So, unless Shou had been trained as an elite soldier for years, or had focused on learning more about his armor before hand, there was no way for Shou to defeat Enzyme 1. You must also remember Shou was fighting to protect Tetsuro (and Mizuki in the OVA), so he had to think about their safety the entire time. Enzyme 1 could care less who got hurt. He was as good as dead anyway, either by the Guyver, Guyot or his short life span. Enzyme basically was a man with nothing left to lose and it was his want of revenge against the one person who ruined his life that drove him to keep on going. Enzyme's, in general, are very durable and are hard to kill, depending on the generation that you're fighting. With Gen II, along with the acidic saliva which they can spit, they have those spider leg-like claws on their back, which make it hard to attack from behind. Enzyme 1 was mostly just close combat oriented so any long range weapon could have worked. Megasmasher, Pressure Cannon dead center in the face (fully taking it out), those are the two best ways to kill it....or use the Sonic Oscillators but that'd be hard to use (as well as the Megasmasher due to the charge-up time) as Enzyme's 1 and 2 won't give you the chance to do so. As for Enzyme III, your best bet is to mostly keep as far away from it as possible, go Gigantic on it or use a very powerful explosive device that would destroy it. Again, this is hard due to their powerful healing factor. While note the strongest of the 3 Gen's, it is the fastest so, unless you're really far away at the start of the fight, there is no way to charge up a Megasmasher or Giga Smasher blast. Pressure Cannon's are recommended to keep them at bay and confused just long enough to gain some distance....as well as running like hell and praying that you're faster than they are.

Ok....that was actually very interesting. Nice find and thanks for sharing.

I don't really like what I've heard so far at all about this series. This series is just too....Metal Hero-y looking to be Kamen Rider. Hell, it looks like Kamen Rider trying to mimic Ryuukendou and Rescue Heroes / Fire with the designs somewhat. Well, for what it's worth.... Fan Review of the Current Info Japan News Video

it's been so long since I made a post in this thread that I forgot if music video's go in here, lol. Oh well. Clock Strikes The Beginning

Wow, these are great, Matt! I don't know about most of the others, but I kinda always liked OOC as it kinda did it's own thing and could have taken the Guyver-verse in a completely different direction from how it was going. And it's nice to see how they had planned to do some things that never made it into the final cut. All-in-all, a great addition to any collection of a Guyver collector. Thanks for sharing these!

YG, to answer Ur questions. The anime series mostly uses stuff from seasons 1 & 2 and even adds in their own episodes. It doesn't initially tie into the live action version, just does the TV series in anime format. Hell, Jensen Ackles doesn't even voice Dean except for the final 2 episodes. As for the part with their dad....don't wanna spoil it for ya.

Fav Char - Dean, nuff said. Char i hate - .....honestly, Zachariah. Guy was a total jerk. Fav season - 3. Despite being the shortest season, it was one of the best written and had me crying at the end with Season I hate - 6. It's too much of a cluster-F with all that they have going on in that season. What I expect to see in 9 and 10 - either Same or Dean (or both) permanently dying. god actually showing up, and Cas finally getting some real nookie, not that crap when he lost his memories for 6 months.
-
Ok, now THAT makes it very interesting to me indeed.

It happens. As long as the topic isn't taken too off topic. but it's best to stay on track. I just wonder what the last 2 seasons will bring us. But as for GoT, I heard it wasn't on Netflix and I don't have HBO, so would anyone possibly know any other way or some streaming site to go view it at. If it's a site, then PM it to me as links for those types of places shouldn't be posted in the forums. Keeps the site out of trouble this way.

Supernatural fan here as well...well, up until season 7. 7 and 8 were just....out there. anyway, is this Game of Throne series really that interesting? I was loaned season 1 from a friend but never got around to watching it and returned it to him as he asked for it back. But, is it worth it to purchase the series on boxset? From what I've been told so far, it's like Lord of the Rings meets The Sopranos.

OMG! The opening was just so darn funny! A nice find, man.

Fan Made Power Rangers Movie?
Toku Warrior replied to Matt Bellamy's topic in Japanese Entertainment
Like the suit design, very futuristic. Zedd's design is also nice. But her eyes....they just have this creepy look to them. -
Yeah, most of us have known about Armor Hero for a long while now. though Armor Hero is much better than the crap that is Jushen ZhanJiDui.

Power Rangers Super Megaforce - Ranger War
Toku Warrior replied to PrimalNemesis's topic in Japanese Entertainment
Hey guys. I guess those who have been keeping up with the rumors have heard that Super Megaforce will be having a 20 yr reunion with 10 past Rangers. And, of course, one of the most well beloved Rangers of all will make his grand entrance after more than 5 years away from the spandex....Jason David Frank. And he will be reprising his role as BOTH the Green and White Rangers. Other past Rangers like a couple Samurai Rangers, Carter (Light Speed Red), Leo (Lost Galaxy Red), Cassie (Space Pink) and T.J. (Turbo Red / Space Blue) will also appear. With this topic, I bring images. Well, mostly Tommy images but that's because his fan page has tons of them. There's also speculation that the American version of the Gokaigers will also make their debut as well. I have to admit, as old as he's gotten, he still looks badass in the Green Ranger suit. And some more images. -
That's good to hear, bro.
-
Wow, this all looks incredible. Somewhat stunned by just how fast we're advancing technologically.
-
It is kind of a let down that not much was revealed this chapter. And now it's another break before we get the next one. Well, here's hoping we get some more info next chapter.
-
Gotta admit, this is pretty kickass!
-
sorry to hear that U had to move and that U've been down lately. But, at least it's good to hear that U're trying to move forward. Hopefully, it gets better for U.

While we may have enough material in the manga for another 1-2 seasons....I doubt they'd make a new series or a new season until Takaya-sensei finishes the manga. And the manga itself seems to be moving into its final act so we probably got, at least, another 2-4 books after book 30...at least.

it's $4.75 cuz I got the matinee showing. If it was the 3D version, then it's be between $12-$15.

I like the new suit design though I also like the previous one from the first movie last year.
