  1. I don't understand how Falcon is able to catch a shield that embedded itself in a tree. is he a super soldier too? I don't really recall much about him, but I don't recall him going in a pressure chamber of any kind.
  2. I wasn't interested in this to be honest, but these two clips have changed my mind. Finally see something intriguing with the characters, how they talk to each other and how their relationship will evolve.
  3. Guyver is still not finished. It has had multiple hiatuses. Also, it is kinda weird. Even if people thought it was interesting, the fact it doesn't have an end and may never have an end, people just don't want to commit to it and so it doesn't get recommended.
  4. That does sound about right. I can't imagine what it must be like to be the target of cancel culture or a mass movement like that, but I have been pounced on in other forums due to the echo chamber effect. I am not very good at 'reading the room' to be honest, and I might say something with good intentions and it feels like everyone has turned to face me and is now sending vicious barbs in my direction. it is a horrible experience when nobody wants to listen, they just want to attack. It can start with one post and then it can snowball and I find myself turned into some kind of strawman for all their vitriol. It doesn't help that I have a fragile ego resulting from childhood abuse. I can't walk away, I have to defend my character.
  5. I'm just confused as to why you said the unit remover didn't work. The unit remover absolutely did work, we saw agito's armour coming off, it just wasn't charged enough to wipe the user data completely.
  6. I would say we agree with our sentiments, but our use of language is different. I think when we use the term 'free speech' we are thinking about it in a different way. for example, you mentioned social media amplifying a message and said that is not free speech. in my own concept of it, that would qualify as free speech. so from that, I understand where you are coming from better. from this basis, I agree with you whole heartedly, free speech is important. you brought up the fact you are asian and that brought to mind the situation in hong kong. Their free speech has been taken from them and that is awful. that kind of freedom of expression is very important. I also find it interesting what you say about responsibility. I believe that this is essential. should this not be enshrined in law in some way? because we can say that leaders should be responsible, but many influencers are not responsible and there is nothing we can do about it. I think this may be why cancel culture could be a good thing. JK Rowling is being cancelled by a lot of people now, because she is a major influencer and she is using that platform to attack LGBT people. well, I am sure that she has a right to voice her opinion, but at what point does that become hate speech? maybe Mr Atkinson is right? maybe this conversation should play out? Maybe in so doing, people can show JKR how she is wrong?
  7. It's a difficult one, because while it certainly seems reasonable what Mr Atkinson is saying, There is also the other side of the issue. I mean the part about tolerance and intolerance. For tolerance to be a thing, we have to be intolerant of intolerant rhetoric. it's a double ended sword sort of thing. If you are tolerant of hate speech for example, you end up with a lot of hateful rhetoric throughout society... this kind of 'free speech' can be very emotionally damaging to people on the receiving end. Mental health has been pushed aside for a very long time. It's time we put more of a focus on how our words can effect others. as the phrase goes, "the pen is truly mightier than the sword". The use of language can be incredibly powerful. We only need to look at what has been happening in the US. The irresponsible use of free speech led to an attack on the capitol building. I actually don't think This really relates to cancel culture though. I mean... cancel culture is more about joining in on a echo chamber like phenomenon, or jumping on the bandwagon. people are feeling the need to belong to some cause or group. This isn't related to free speech, it's related to our lack of social connection. A person could say anything they want, but if one particularly influential person decides that it's not okay, they can weaponise language in such a way that creates this cancel effect. it's not really about tolerance or intolerance. it's about wanting to be part of a tribe.
  8. we didn't know what was going to happen, and there was already so much to wrap up. I do think these trolling bits by marvel are being kicked down the street a little, whilst also giving us some form of confirmation. they are kind of saying "just wait a little, we want to take our time with this" I mean... what kind of a name is that.... clearly that's a pseudonym, right?
  9. the fact we have an 'Eternals' movie later this year lends a lot of weight to this. if the mutant gene is already present within a small number of humans, wanda's power could very easily just flick a switch. I mean it is called 'chaos' magic after all.
  10. wow!! yes, that is indeed interesting!! I wonder where they are going with this.. it seems to hint at a return for ultron, but would they go that far?
  11. I'm not so sure. see what I noticed is that wanda said she might be the bad guy. then pietro also looked a bit like maybe he wasn't too friendly. I'm wondering if this is setup for perhaps some villainous team that included both wanda and pietro.... another notable thing is... monica just got some powers... and she replaced captain marvel in the comics at some point.. so maybe danvers is going to lose her powers in some way... maybe due to another mutant that was part of a particular villain organisation... that specific organisation that included pietro and wanda.
  12. got to be honest, this trailer is absolutely awful. I had to keep rewinding it to try and figure out what they were saying, the sound mix is really bad and i just zoned out half way through because it was such a cacophony or random imagery. lmao at that screenshot XD
  13. that was just ... mind = blown. I mean I half expected it to be that person but I never expected it to be THAT person. XD
  14. i don't see how it could be this 'mephisto' since I have never heard of him. the reason I say that, is because if they are good writers, they wouldn't have some guy be 'behind' this whole phenomenon if the audience has never heard of them or seen any hint of them. they can only work with what the audience is aware of, or things they have foreshadowed or included hints to. all we have seen so far, doesn't seem to suggest to me, any shadowy character of any particular note.
  15. oh no! not the desert skin! that was the forum's personality! I hope it's possible to get a replacement easily. I looked at the new forum icons but they seem to be faded?
  16. thank you so much, I love these!!!
  17. I have to say, while I understand your passion and agree with it... the use of language makes me feel a little uncomfortable. I thought cussing was not normal here?
  18. i found a backup of them here https://web.archive.org/web/20151008081839im_/http://japan-legend.com/emoticons/
  19. Honestly, that sounds like different behaviour to what I had expected, so it goes to show my knowledge is way off. uhm... so he printer is visible but not recognised as a device that can be used to print.... maybe this sounds silly, but do you need to install it? heh heh, I can't really think of anything else ^_^;
  20. i'm no expert, but it looks like you have two separate individual networks accessing the same wifi device. if these are two separate networks then devices on one will be inaccessible from devices on the other. sometimes these printers are accessible from a web server so you might be able to use remote printing via your canon service? i'm just taking a stab in the dark, but you might be able to bridge the two networks. that could be complicated. or it might even be as simple as connecting wifi router to tp link switch with an ordinary lan cable. just a random thought.
  21. there are various things that it says, using words like 'regulate' for example. add to that the visible evidence. the CM on it's own, started to generate biomatter by itself in chronos japan HQ. then in that same scenario, guyver 3 'woke' guyver 1 by using his CM, they were both clearly active. then on the creators ship, the guyver was communicating with the relic with the CM. The evidence is all there. and considering that it was generating material slowly in chronos HQ, we have to assume it must use parts of the external body to boost it's energy transfer abilities. yes it we also have to consider energy storage. in a normal human host, it can only do so much with what it has available. but with a zoalord, it has a zoacrystal available which changes the field massively. we have seen clear evidence that the zoalord stores massive amount of energy, and when they are storing that energy, the zoacrystal glows. All of this stuff seems pretty clear cut to me. just look at guyot now with his lesser zoacrystal... his power levels are vastly reduced. the guyver having that massive reservoir to store energy in, would almost certainly create more energy transfer structures to transfer that extra energy. with a normal human host, it must be limited to how much energy can be stored or transferred through the host. otherwise it would be unlimited, right?
  22. wow... this is the very definition of necro posting!!! the control metal has broadcast ability and also small scale energy siphon from boost dimension. those are functions that could interface with a zoacrystal since that is an energy storage and transformation structure and a transmission system too, in the way it transmits thoughts and commands.
  23. The control metal does have a dimensional interlink, which means it can siphon energy from the boost dimension, but as you said the gravity globe does that to a larger extent. actually, we don't know what form that energy takes, but it is probably fairly efficient and the manga or anime has never shown any indications of harmful radioactive effects. it all seems to be pretty safe to be around. since the guyver organism can seemingly change some substances into completely different substances, there is a good chance this organism is capable of spontaneous fission/fusion. loose ions, cosmic rays, etc. would cause damage to the structures and material that it creates, so I imagine it must have a method to manage any excess.
  24. well I can't see any videos here... have you considered putting your videos on youtube?
  25. Last I checked, Biden was getting a faster increase in votes in pennsylvania. Trump had the lead but Biden was catching up quickly. the trend looked like he would pass him. I haven't checked today. I am also not a US citizen, but I am concerned about Trumps behaviour, not just now but for as long as I can remember. His divisive nature is bad enough but he actually promotes division and 'othering' and creates a very tense situation. America is in turmoil and it is in part his fault. he has riled people up consistently. On the face of it, people think it's fine because it only effects America, but these things can and do effect the world. Especially if his policies result in the environment being damaged beyond repair. It worries me that he got so much of the vote anyway. I don't really understand it. I am certain there may be trump supporters here and I don't want to upset anyone so I apologise if my words have been hurtful. I just don't understand it though. Is it through apathy, or protest against corrupt politicians, or something else?
