  1. There is 2 versions of Tekkaman Blade: 1. Original Japanese - Uncut, and with subtitles. Officially called "Tekkaman" Blade 2. English Version - Edited, but with english dub. Officially called "Teknoman" ( Note: The DVD release from Media Blasters is NOT the American Dub. It is the UK version, and features a few different voice actors, and actually calling D-Boy "Blade" instead of "Slade". The American version was never shown fully, and is not available) Both are exactly the same series, minus the differences with the editing on the English Dub version. Depends what you prefer, subs or dubs. There is also Tekkaman Blade 2. The DVD release of it has both English Dubbing and Japanese with Subtitles. Definitely should watch it after the main series.
  2. unless they change it in the continuation and it doesn't give you a choice. I dunno... so it was never an option for me. But it seems the way they played it out, they probably will keep it with the "good" ending. Or the extra quests after the big 3 missions are done, wouldn't exist at all. Though they could modify it... it seems unlikely as I haven't read anything about that yet.
  3. Well, finally got around to beating it... I must say I was a bit pissed. Considering the ending, and how I used Fawkes as my side kick... I really didn't like the cop out of the new "ending". But then... 2 Weeks Later... Overall, I liked Broken Steel. They SHOULD have made it the first DLC though. The increased level cap also makes you too much of a god. But 3 main story missions ( thus 3 Achievements) and 3 more quests, with a few buildings that were once closed, now opened? Better than the last 2 releases. Much better. And I thankfully never hit one of the bugs that woudl freeze the game... though I did get some clipping and choppy-ness, but nothing major. I think this one was actually worth the 800 points.
  4. About my first post, I didn't mean to come off as attacking like, was just wondering if indeed you thought otherwise about the intended idea behind the movie. However, you seem to be taking this movie much more seriously than intended. That being said... I think you are in the general minority of Star Trek fans who think this movie is bad. ( Hell, where I live, we have a town called Vulcan, yes, named after the Vulcan homeworld, where it is literally one of the best Star Trek fan places to go in the world... and they all loved the movie). But, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Thus, I am eagerly awaiting the official announcement of a sequel. Though, I have to think that because of how the Star Trek TV series ended up, some people who are die-hard tv series fans, rather than the movie fans, can seem disappointed. The writing in the TV series was so stunted by Rick Berman ( yes, I am not a fan of his), that the series ended up stagnating into formulaic plots lines. Only Voyager was able to move a bit away from this, but still suffered greatly. I might suggest any Trek fan listen to this interview... especially the parts about Trek. His personal story is also really good ( and quite quite funny), but the truths he reveals about the Trek set really open ones eyes, and once you look back, you can see it in the series. http://geekson.com/archives/archiveepisode...isode111406.htm It's in MP3 format too.
  5. I suspect you never read anything about it before you saw it? It was meant to be a relaunch. And it had plenty of "Faithful" moments and aspects, but as many said beforehand, "This isn't your fathers Star Trek" It was an alternate time line, thus it could have happened completely different... and as we found out, certain things did start out completely different, right from the get go hen the Kelvin incident occurred. The ship looking updated is something one should expect, especially since every new movie that re-envisions things these days tend to do that as well. I personally liked it. They used time travel in a much different way than they did in the past, and IMO ended up with a pretty good ending... even if the plot was kind of thin on the Romulans part. I think my favorite character tough, was Karl Urban as Leonard "Bones" McCoy. He just played him so well.
  6. More problems too! Apparently the part of Bethesda that creates PC games, doesn't seem to realize that it's not cool to release a game/expansion that s full of bugs. Especially on a console system. Hopefully they come out with the fixes soon.
  7. Estimated to arrive August 2009. - Tekkaman apprx. 4" - Pegasus apprx. 8" - Included with figures: Tekk Lancer (single), Tekk Lancer (twin), Tekk Shield, interchangeable hands for weapons, clear display stand Appearently it's not a SoC, but Tamashii Spec... still awesome though. Sadly it's going to be about $150 US... But that won't stop me. Couple more pics though:
  8. Blade CAN fit inside Pegas =P Probably going to be expensive ( Soul of Chogokin usually are), but oh so worth it in my opinion.
  9. I honestly think it seems Pegas was more to keep D-Boy grounded to the Space Knights. If he just had his crystal, he really didn't "need" them for much. Having him forced to use Pegas to transform kept him in close ties with the Space Knights, so that the friendships could grow. Despite the fact in the original Star Knight Tekkaman, Pegasus was the way the hero got his armor on. I just can't wait for the Blade and Pegas SoC figure set that is coming... That's going to be awesome.
  10. The O Gundam most certainly was based after the RX-78 model ( the later paint job being that of the most famous of the line the RX-78-2), being the "First Mobile Suit equipped with a GN Drive", thus being the "First Gundam"... which naturally, is usually what the first Gundam series is referred to as. Although there are some slight differences in the head design. I though 00 was ok for the most part. The first half was better imo, since Setsuna became so much HAX after he got 00 Raiser. Although Saji was a hell of a lot better in the second half. I am still kind of pissed that once again, Graham got shafted a bit... but at least we know he's alive. I am glad that the Meisters survived though. Except for Tieria of course... but I wouldn't exactly count him out just yet... I don't think it'd be too hard for him to download himself in a new body or something. Double-lujah was awesome once again... but ultimately wasted overall. They should have played up with him a bit more. Allelujah was my favorite Meister from season 1, and it's a shame he kind of got shafted in season 2. Mary getting her Mary Parfacy self back was a relief... although I think it would have been interesting if Soma has started to like Allelujah too ( which they did kind of hint at a bit) Lyle/Lockon had a few good moments too... He was pretty well done overall... and finally getting the kill on Ali was great. It seemed like that guy was never going to die. The only one he didn't make absolutely hate him, was Allelujah... Although I still kind of wished Setsuna would have finished him off... He seemed to have the most against him. Setsuna sadly didn't change too much... ( other than the obvious "change"), but seeing Exia at the end was pretty awesome. Still, it's ending was way beter than what we got of Destiny... AND we still have a movie coming. Should be fun.
  11. If I had to say a series, it would definitely be G Gundam. Despite the basic tournament plot line, the whole Devil Gundam plot line behind it just added so much depth, and allowed the characters to really shine. But IF I had to choose a single Gundam unit... I dunno if I could. I have my favorites from certain categories though... UC Gundam - RX-78GP03 Stamen - It's basic, but has the awesome wing binders on it's hips. I hate when games include the full Dendrobium, and not the Stamen separately. AU Gundam - GATX-105 Strike Gundam - Mostly the Aile pack... but I do have a fondness for the Sword and Launcher packs. Again, it's basic... but sleak, and looks great with it's equipment.( plus my favorite pilot of all time gets to pilot it... Go Mwu!) Manga series - RX-79BD01 Blue Destiny - Just because it has been a favorite of mine for ages. =P ---------------------------------------------- See, the problem with UC Gundam, is that not all of it's parts are equal. Certain shows within the time line do more harm than good for the franchise ( ZZ, and in my opinion V). But some of it, is VERY good, and shouldn't be missed by anybody (0080). However, it seems with UC Gundam, the really good series no one ever really hates, and the bad series seems to be all one sided too. It's that aspect that makes UC great IMO... People can agree about it. Sadly, the AU's seem to be hit and miss. Some love G Gundam, while others hate it. Same goes for Wing, Turn A, Seed, Seed Destiny and 00 ( oddly, I don't think enough people have seen X to really take sides on it).
  12. The expansion Broken Steel will raise the cap to 30... but even that has been pushed back a month...
  13. I was just about to post the same thing... Nena Trinity is just so... wrong. She's mentally unstable ( even before her brothers were killed), and is the entire reason Louise went to the A-Laws. Just because she was upset the people at her parents party, which she was flying by, were having a good time. Thankfully it was the incident that had the crew of the Ptolemy finally attack them... but still, she doesn't everything on a whim, and laughs about it. I was originally thinking Ribbons Almack, now that he's proven it's his own ambition he's following now... But Nena is so much worse.
  14. I'm sorry if this sounds insulting to anyone... but if it took you 5 hours to beat Operation Anchorage... you were either level 1, or just picked the game up. It was 2 hours tops for me. Calling OA a 4-5 hour content pack should have the people at Bethesda shot... Unless they all suck at their own game...
  15. That all depends... do you think an extra 2 hours of game play is worth 800 points? Game play that I might add, is inferior to the normal Fallout 3 game play. I mean, ok, I got the armor, and the Gauss Rifle... but at the point I am at, I don't need either. Though they said OA would be the weakest of the DLC packs, I am hoping they pushed the other back a month to add more content.
  16. Woooooooooooooooooo! Operation: Anchorage here I come!
  17. Not really... as an avid FPS game player, I find that my normal FPS shooting skills do tend to help in some situations ( like when you run out of AP). I tend to mostly use VATS now when the enemies are too close, or I need to protect something, or kill something quickly. Though it does tend to use up a bit more ammo than using VATS's exclusively.
  18. What I love about Fallout 3, is that it's more of an FPS, with RPG elements. I'm still currently playing it, and can;t it for the new DLC coming on the 27th, and then in February and March... Jus whe Ithought I was almost done with it... it keeps bringing me back... Not that I am complaining in the least bit =P
  19. Note though, that Saji sits backwards in comparison to Setsuna... and yet when Setsuna accelerated... Saji was pushed back into his chair... Instead of forward like the position of his seating should have put him... I'm not sure I like this "Newtype" reaction they get from the Trans Am now... I was kinda hoping that the 100% GN Drive power would have been enough... but I guess the Innovators mecha are much more powerful than the Twin Drive system at 100%? ... They really got to work out the scales of power in 00... They were a lot better in season 1... but now everything is about equal... until the 00 showed up... and now they already have to upgrade it, because it cannot handle grunt suits... Ok Celestial Being... what were you doing when the Federation and the A-Laws were upgrading their mecha...? Seriously... the only thing they have now is Trans Am... and even that isn't that big of a deal.
  20. I think there is a lot of bad press going around for the movie, and after seeing the trailer, I can see why certain types of fans are against it, and some are wanting to see it. - Dragonball Z fans - This is NOT DBZ. Let me repeat that. THIS IS NOT DBZ. I dunno if some don't realise, but there was a whole series before DBZ called, get this... DRAGONBALL. It was a about a young kid and his friends collecting things called Dragonballs, and on their way, fight some big villians. ( Note that the japanese Manga was never called Dragonball Z. It was just "Dragonball" for it's 42 volume run. The stuff we know as "Z", started in Volume 17.) - Purists/Source Material fans - These people want it to be a direct take from the manga source. And I am sorry, but for Dragonball, that just doesn't work. It worked great for the Hellboy and Iron Man movies, but Dragonball is not something you can do well in live action, and make it successful. Honestly, it looks like the changes they made to this, were for the american audiences so that those who do not understand can feel that they are not being left out. That being said, I expect MANY inside jokes, or cameos from characters who couldn't make it into the movie (Oolong, Puar etc...) - Fanboys/Haters/Trolls - Honestly, they seem to have a problem with everything. And are usually the bane of any forum/discussion because they think their opinion matters, and that it is right. That or they are just trolling. People who honestly do not like these kinds of films, or are not Dragonball fans are fine. It's just the stereotypes listed above that really drag down the public opinion on the movie. I'm still undecided weither or not I will see it in the theater, or just download it... But I know one thing... my brother, who dislikes anime, actually thinks it looks fairly decent. And I think right there, the producers of the movie have done their jobs.
  21. Actually, I think it looks a lot like Bulletproof Monk... which also starred Chow Yun Fat who was an old master who teaches a young white guy the ways of "super martial arts"... except it was about a scroll, and not dragonballs
  22. I didn't bother posting mine because I was having issues with my account... but now those issues are fixed! WarriorGuyverC I tend to not play online too often these days... but I do occasionally pick up Halo 3 or GoW once and a while. But with GoW 2 coming soon...
  23. In all honesty, claiming that today's kids are "more clever than Adults" is merely propaganda for the worlds failing school systems. Yes, there ARE kids who are more clever than Adults. It's true. But those numbers are VERY low. Yes, with new technologies, and new discoveries, kids these days should be taught so much more than their parents where at that age. And Adults, being set mostly in their ways, don't learn as easily, thus coming to the theory that " Kids are smarter than Adults". However, the problems are numerous, ranging from the fact that Kids don't want to learn, to Teachers not teaching properly, or even Governments interfering with what is being taught. If you look at the numbers of Students who do not go into the higher education fields, compared to even the number that manage to graduate High school... you will see that things look bleak... for the world. The USA gets picked on for it, and rightfully so, but other countries are getting to be no better. It's really a disturbing trend, that no one, Teachers, Parents, Religions, or Politicians, want to acknowledge. More and more students are being indoctrinated into other things. Like Gangs, dealing Drugs, or trying to get into the "Entertainment" Industry. Places they think they can make easy money, rather than spending the years and money to get a career, like a Doctor, Engineer, or in a skilled trade... who can make decent money... but the work required is just too daunting sometimes, and quick and easy money is too easy of a treat. I would have included "Unskilled Laborer" in that... but a lot of people I've seen who get into "Unskilled Laborer" positions right after High School, if they work hard enough, CAN make a living in the Trades etc... without at first realizing it. In the end, it's how you are brought up that shapes your morals and beliefs. And sadly, that is the #1 problem with the world today. It's a combined effort of the Parents, Society, and Governments. And it's sad when all 3 are failing today's youth. Some manage to rise up, and fight the temptations, and actually make something of themselves. And unfortunately, as much as we want to praise them for it... it's not them we should be focusing on. It's those who fail who should get the focus. The help. but it seems society doesn't want it to work that way. And thus, we get reports like " Kids these days are more clever than Adults". There is some truth to it, just not the truth we should be hearing. *end rant*
  24. Still not "official" for me. Model kits manuals are full of errors as, Mark Simmons ( Gundam Guru of the Western world, and actually works for Bandai as a translator) has pointed out on numerous occasions, they may be a source for some material, but the japanese language is not an open and closed translation. Especially since the official site when ran through multiple translators comes up with "arouzu"as the organisations name. But that's half the fun of the Japanese language. For simplicity sake, I'll just start calling them the Titans and be done with it =P
