Guyver1

I joined this forum last year. I had previously read the Guyver manga online here... in its entirety. I think as of today I have read and re-read all of the free chapters at least 8 times. I had never joined a forum prior to this and have not since. I love that this is a place for all of the Guyver fans to discuss it. You get to somewhat know people. I love to see all of the collections and add in my comments as I can. It is a part of my daily routine to check up on the site. I have had great dealings with Jess who has provided me with scanlations, great topics have been discussed and the overall feeling is that of a community of fans. While I may not always post or add to discussions, I like to check it all out and read the threads just to see what is going on with everyone. My time is a bit limited due to work and my 2nd job as a comic book artist, so having this be a "break" in my day is quite awesome. Just my 2 pennies. - Guyver1

I agree with Promethes. This is the only forum I am a member of. Never cared to be a part of any other. This is a great place for fans to nerd out. I will always say the more the better with regards to Guyver getting more exposure, but not at the behest of senseless and childish name calling or behavior...

I probably would not wear it, but it would be sweet to have as a display. I think we ALL want a good Guyver movie. It would look so good with today's capabilities. One day!!

Looks like a promo made suit for the last anime. A super pro job. I want one as well!! Too bad it would be out of my budget to get.

I like the fact that the advocacy group does this. Not just for the scanlations, but the passion of it. While I think that having someone else doing it will only help to further the base of fans and brand for Guyver as a whole, it should also not be so petty and baseless. For someone who doesn't want to make money from it, there is an awful lot of mud slinging for no reason. At the end of the day we are all fans of Guyver and only want it to climb in popularity so it not only keeps going, but keeps getting bigger and better as it deserves to be.

Hello all, I just landed this cool animation cel of Guyver1. Not bad shot of him considering how hard they can be to come by.

I just saw this last night and loved it. He'll make a great addition to the Avengers lineup. Now I wait for the Deadpool movie and so see if they'll do Spidey some type of justice in Cap3. The nerd in me is so happy!!

Pure awesome! I feel like this is a videogame and we're about to get to one of the last bosses!

In light of the recent events of Secret Wars and the announcement by Marvel that Miles Morales is to be the main Spider-man in the renewed 616, I have to ask... are you a Parker purist or a Morales mark? In fairness to this post, I am a purist. But I want to hear what you think!! Help me understand this brave new world!! For I am scared...

Ryan Reynolds is still Deadpool Matt was saying he was never gone in the first place. He ensured that this movie was going to be made and done right.

Hello all, I thought a few of you fellow nerds would like this! Enjoy!

Final lettering edits are complete! Files for issue 7 and the 2nd trade have been sent to the printer. Both will be out in April! Also attended a small convention this past weekend, gained lots of new readers, met some peeps and did a small panel discussion with the publisher to answer questions on how to get into comics. Overall, feeling great! Less than 3 weeks to the biggest con in FL, Megacon, and about to begin work on the next issue.

Round 2 of lettering edits complete! Only an hour and a half call for that tonight. One last round of reviews after edits are done and then it's off to the printer! Another issue in the can and the 2nd trade paperback is done as well. Movin' on uuuuuppp!!

Exciting is the editing process! Last evening's edit call for the lettering took about 3 and a half hours... about 121 changes. Some small some pretty big, LOL! The book is in the final stages of completion!!

Issue 7 is now complete! Well, the art is anyways. Now it's with the letterer and editor for finalization. Issue 7 of The Maniacal Smile will debut in April at Megacon 2015! Should anyone attend, come see us at the Fierce Comics booth and nerd out!!

Issue 7 inks are completed. I have begun coloring the pages the colorist has not been able to complete. 7 pages left for colors due by 03/15 and then this issue is in the can and we are good to go to the next arc of the storyline... it's called the Ben-A.N.A. Republic. Smiley's city of Utopia gets taken over by Ben the psycho monkey. This arc will run 4 issues (8-11) and will be in trade paperback form in 2016. Lots to do!!
