wow talk about a real throwback now ! although if i may be honest... i think i prefer the shading work you did on the old version. it looks like you took a bit more consideration into it. was this intentional? but as a whole, the newer one looks a lot more fresh and tidy also i just remembered that I never finished the colour thing i wanted to make of this and now it's long gone on an old HDD. darn it. i couldn't make ya proud ryuki.

oh wow that's awesome! i'm very curious btw, what are your references for these? do you do them from scratch based on other images? specifically this latest one, i don't think there are many direct frontal images of Val are there?

would be nice if he did, i think the most we could expect is a letter being sent back to kenji (i assume there was a return address when it was mailed) expressing a bit of appreciation. i don't know if he would mention it in a next book or something also found this on tvtropes: Another but outside the manga. After the issue showing Murakami's death readers began send paper cranes to Takaya in honor of the character. is there any source on this?

wow BK, can i just ask where you found that lineart in the first post? it's really neat also neat job on the eldar guardian, but perhaps you should shade it so that it doesn't stand out so much compared to the background. because you've used flat colours for the character and a photo for the background it doesn't look like he's standing on anything either, just placed in the center of a photo

i love the corridor image. i absolutely love that style, simple lines, flat colours.. it's really well done! i'll also be checking out Al Held for more interesting works similar to it good job on this stuff dude!

hehe mine's just a slideshow with just pictures of Olivia Wilde. i'm a bit obsessed with her. here's a nice one also i just realised i've got some pretty weirdly named folders on my desktop. just to let you know "Homosexy" is NOT what you think it is. it's a backup of a friend's usb drive, which he called "Homosexy". it simply has documents in it. but putting in that usb stick while other people were around and having to navigate to the "homosexy drive" certainly raised eyebrows.

I'm liking the second one quite a bit, it's simplified nicely. The text of "Guyver" would've been more interesting i think if you made it appear similar or based it on the official logos

hahahaa i stopped watching the anime but i might just check out this episode after seeing those Gifs. i agree with Ryuki, this is the kind of over the top animation they use with the more important fight scenes in naruto (episode 133 of the original, naruto vs sasuke for example). the animation really is something to behold

it looks pretty good, but i may i suggest going around certain parts of his outline again thicker in certain areas? just to give it a nicer finish and outline. as it is it looks quite flat edit: here's a quick example of what i mean it makes the sprite seem more solid

aha, i don't know if they change it up in the anime, but from where you are Ryuki, they may as well re-name the show Sasuke Don't expect to see a lot of Naruto

fair points. perhaps i dislike it so much because i read the manga and really wanted to see what i had read animated. so i may have been impatient with it. i imagine someone who never read the manga would have a radically different view, and probably wouldn't even realise how much filler the show has. if you haven't read the manga, you probably won't mind until the filler leading up to the end of the series, where you are practically fed arc after arc (and if i remember right, mostly lasting only around 7 episodes).

ah, i agree with you here. i liked those episodes and scenes between arcs when things were at rest, i remember dragon ball had something very similar. i loved it. but the fillers are mostly just made up arcs with made up characters that really were only there to stop the anime from catching up with the manga. if you like one-off episodes of filler, then download episode 101. that one is pretty funny. i think 100 is recap filler, but has some good character interaction between two characters who you'll meet in the next few episodes you watch.

Ah, nice to see some detail on your avatar image! I like it and I imagine the hair must've taken a while to trace over, but it looks kind of flat compared to the rest I think... At least compared to the amount of shading on the face and how dark it is. Although i'm not sure how you would shade the hair... ah well

Oh, the Zabuza arc of Naruto is great. The Kunai in the mouth bit really is powerful and it's been a while, but I remember it being pretty beautifully animated. Other episodes with amazing animation are 133 and 30 I think? The drawing styles are a lot simpler, but I suppose the animation makes up for it. I think I read they handed it off to a Korean group of animators or something. No idea if there's any truth to it, but certainly those episodes are entertaining to watch, just for the quality of animation. And Naruto and fillers is a mess. don't bother with the fillers, they are actually painful to watch. The only one worth watching is episode 101, it's pretty funny but is a single episode story. Episodes 140-220 is just filler after filler. the end of 139 and the last half of 220 follow the manga. Episode 220 is half filler, half canon. 220 is the end of the "original" Naruto (Think of it like Dragon Ball and DBZ. Shippuuden is "Naruto Z"). Then you'll have to start watching from Shippuuden episode 1. But it got pretty drenn when whoever it is directing the Shippuuden anime thought it would be a good idea to re arrange events in the manga and mix them in with filler plots as well, making you miss canon sections if you try to skip the filler episodes. (maybe after going through so many episodes of filler towards the end of Naruto before I gave up makes me harsh, but i really smegging hate filler). I think it was around episode 55 or something I stopped watching Shippuuden because it was just too much bullshit. The manga... well it's interesting that's for sure. I don't know if i just personally feel Naruto has run it's course but it's not doing it anymore. certain plots and backstories are so damn convoluted you just accept the nonsense that their talking about in hopes that they will finally advance the story. Naruto was pretty damn awesome at the beginning, and remained awesome for a long time but I think Kishimoto needs to stop before he runs himself further into the ground. i'm going to go watch episode 133 because goddamn that episode is so good. i want anyone who starts watching naruto to get up to that point so they can see the peak of the series. have fun man! edit: oh god i wrote so much

i fixed up the engrish-ness of durendal's translated part, i hope it's okay one line however i don't understand- "The role of the villain having suceeded in conquering the world, with a story having a special mention, in which depicts a tall building in Washinton DC being destroyed 2 years prior to the repeated Terrorist Occurence in America." i can figure out what it's trying to say with regards to X-Day and such, but i'm not sure what the point is of mentioning a relation to 9/11 (i hope im not being ignorant in assuming that's what its talking about) and what i assume is the destruction of Cloud Gate. would you call that a charm of the story? as that is what the paragraph is focusing on..

wow, you guys have been very busy i see. i've had a look around the guyver pages and im impressed! the main guyver page seems to be quite engrish though, i'll go through it later if that's okay. Also the beginning paragraph, "guyver is a armour system that..." wouldn't that work better in the synopsis bit? the rest of the opening is more of an overview of the series.
