That right folks! Kadokawa is releasing a new Guyver artbook, that is up for pre-order on their official site, with a release date in July. Their official site in purely in Japanese, so I will keep this updated if someone finds an easier place to pre-order.

You should be able to use your existing amazon account there. also be sure to change your language in case you haven't seen it

The Visual Data Files book was not an art book! It was a Visual Data file book!

Woahhh, this is insane news!! I'll definitely be getting my pre-order in. I had actually been thinking a while ago about how much content could fill up a second VDF and was a bit disheartened because I thought such a thing would never happen. Well here we go! Arguably a new chapter would be even better news but I'm looking forward to all the eye candy that comes with this book. It's strange that the Amazon listing is calling it Takaya's "first" art book of Guyver, but that could just be google translate being weird?

On the amazon listing it does mention 'restart'. This suggests that this artbook may be part of a marketing campaign for the return of Guyver serialisation.

So we got a new Figma action figure of Guyver 1, and now an art book. Quite remarkable. I would assume Kadokawa is trying to see if there is still interest with fans, at least in the Japanese market.

Funnily enough, the reply to that tweet is mostly people complaining to continue the serialization before releasing such book.
