mu... munchkin... decks? er... should i want to know?

yeah man. last night was a blast. hadnt had that much fun since the last time we had a huge battle at the club. basically we didnt know where the enemy was, and they didnt know where we were.

ended up with one of theirs walking on top of my infantry company... killed them all cept for 3 people... poor souls. heh. i miss the good ol days.

thats great news about your vacation bk! so what are ya gonna fill your new found time with? (assuming of course, you actually get the flight, and heres hoping you DO!

Probably hanging out with my dogs, really I'd only have 1 day before my brother shows up so I'll spend it with the dogs, I missed them a lot.

I do know I will be going to NYC during my break and possibly seeing that movie True Grit with my brother, and MAYBE Harry Potter 7.

Muntchkin is a fun card game with hysterical card art and very silly gameplay. Like you can wield a gold plated alien snake shooting gun that does extra damage cause its got scary snakes. XD Its very silly

Those munchkins always creeped me out.

So I went to the mall with some friends today and saw a Santa taking pictures with children, and DOGS! I never saw one do that, it was so funny watching a Santa play with a big labrador retriever.

Yup still waiting for that plane...gotta wait another day and a half XD

there's actually a place i've been saving for "the girl" nothing special, just a christmas light show in somebodys yard, which is about 3 acres. its pretty cool, you drive up, park your car, and walk around the trail they set up and they have an awesome country wooded area. the view is pretty breath taking. and after you walk around you can enter their home and drink coco or coffee with strangers.

this place is someones actual home, and they let complete strangers come on in. talk about christmas spirit.

Trust me I wish that were happening, sounds sooo romantic (for her) I mean if you take a woman to that, you're set.

Unfortunatley since we're both going home for the holidays, things like that would have to wait, I'm trying to see if I can get her skype (if she has one) then we can video chat or something. You know, trying to instigate more personal conversation and if she agrees to skype then we can get a more face to face conversation via video chats. Still, I just love her short hair, I don't know why!

i was just watching a few favored episodes of one peice, and i must say, i absolutely love that Bink's Tale or Bink's Song. watever.

i cant get that chorus of yo ho ho ho's out of my head, an not sure i'd want to. i also like how it can be both cheerful and sad.

today is round two in the aerotech/battletech game. hopefully i can convince the others to use capital ships. for those of you who dont know, a fighter is well, a fighter, i doubt there isnt a person who doesnt know what a fighter is, but for simplicity sake, i'll play. a fighter is small like an x wing from starwars. and a captial ship is huge, like a star destroyer from star wars.

there short and simple, just the way i like it.

man, if i can get them to use the ships, i will be so psyched for this. i already got my game plan all ready and waitin.

eventually im gonna incorporate everything when we actually start the mechwarrior campaign. aerofighters, battlmechs, powerarmor. im excited. i always wanted to takeover a jumpship in space.

hehe, im so geekin right now.

Indeed you are, but that does sound really cool. It would be sweet if you could combine all those things together to make one huge battle with mechs, tanks, troops, fighters, dropships, etc.

So after some airline BS, I'm gonna be leaving good old florida and going back to snowy old jersey. Probably going to see that movie True Grit and hopefully HP7 pt1

i know im old school and all, but how the crap is getting someone's facebook and skype kinky? and skype is pretty much a computer phone. so thats no kinkier than a cell.

heh. yes bk. all that in one battle would be epic. and i have done that. remember when i said we had a game and my infantry got walked on? that was it. only it didnt have fighters but it had everything else.

bk!! i never mentioned the dropships, you know what they are!?!?!?

report. (Cough) my team won, but sadly, the commander didnt make it... (Thats me!!) this was still a practice run, so it was 2 on 2 fighter dogfight. what had happened was...

ok we're in space, so our velocity is a constant unless we slow down or speed up or crash. well... im in the lighter fighter of my team, and gave the slower yet more armored/armed fighter to my friend larry. i took off and he went it slow. i closed in on dad and bobby(dad's friend) bobby had the other slow and tough fighter and im going head to head with him, and dad bearing down on me. i will not lie, i got lit up like a christmas tree. but i survived and i got so close i could reach out and touch them close. and i let loose with everything i had, i nearly crippled bobby's fighter right off. he actually didnt have good armor but gawsh... he had weapons.... my, he had lots and lots of guns. so i really hurt bobby. next turn, he passes by me turning and takes some shots at my rear armor, he hit but nothing too serious. So i head for dad. same deal, i close in tight and unload. it wasnt as bad as bobby's was but he was still hurting. now, they are both worse off than my fighter is (how i dont know) and larry is creeping along in the back letting loose with his long range missles at both bobby and dad.

then the epic fail.

in this game you can go to 0 velocity. meaning, your just sitting in space not moving.

thats what i did, i slammed on breaks, turned 180 degrees, all planned out in my head. i expected dad to over shoot me and put his rear armor dead to rights infront of me. and i'd also be out of bobby's firing arch.

yeah... epic fail time... ya see, LAST TURN dad announced he went to 0 velocity while he was still infront of me... so all i did was end my movement, DIRECTLY infront of his fighter, and then swing my fighter around AWAY from him. practically gave him a point blank shot at my rear.... yeah... i died that turn. but since they were so focused on me, larry had so many great shots at both dad and bobby.

as i died, larry hit bobby five times, and each time, something on bobby's fighter blew up. it was so funny. (if you do enough damage per hit, you have a chance for a critical hit, which destroys a weapon or component or equipment, and larry got a crit each time.)

now bobby cant go except half his normal speed, and dad's fighter is as small as mine was, so his armor is already paper thin, plus what i damaged. next turn bobby is limping away, and larry badly mauls dad. hehe. it was glorious.

dad and bobby both called the game then, bobby couldnt control his fighter, and was forced off the playing field, and dad couldnt hope to win against larry's superior fighter....

Eh the airlines were alright, I mean the flight was delayed a little but not too bad; I'm at least back in Jersey. Managed to talk to miss short hair this morning but she had to go to work so we only talked for like 15min. I'll take that over nothing

Eh but not the annual holiday family gathering begins...great oh well at least we're leaving early this year, thank god for the giants game

no offence intended, but you just may laugh instead.

there was a big thing a while back about pokemon here locally. lots of people were going on and on and on and on about how pokemon was evil and demonic and satan this and satan that.

it really made me sick to here these people go on about it, and they never seen a single episode, they're just taking what someone told them and harping on it.

now i know its not demons, just little critters with powers. but i never seen a show and i really never plan to. i never did get into pokemon, but i did see half a season of digimon. but i lost interest in that pretty quick.

now i'll be the last to judge someone by what they play or watch, i watch a lot of shows people would deem childish, but i do admitt, i'm biased agaisnt pokemon for NO REASON whatsever. i dont know why but i just dont like it any. and my first intial impulse is to smirk if anyone says they like pokemon. but that only lasts for like... 3 seconds.

i can understand that attitude towards something.

it is the same attitude that i had towards dragonball and naruto for so long.

one day, when the 'popularity' has worn off, you may decide to look into it.

the thing about pokemon is nothing to do with any monsters, the universe, the anime, the main character, whatever... it's about collecting.

collecting is something that is very impulsive for us.

i am pretty sure we all collect something and if we don't then we may want to and if we don't seem to want to, if we ever got a collection of sorts we would still find it satisfying.

the interesting thing about pokemon is that you are aware that your collection can be improved. not only can you collect, but you can do something with your collection and get a sense of achievement from improving what you have collected.

it's like collecting beat-up sports cars and working on them and turning them into race ready monster cars.

I don't like pokemon. but i understand why people do.

I have my own collection things.

I like pokemon for 3 reasons:

1) The nostalgia factor: I played the original red and silver versions as a kid and when I saw there was a hi res (well as hi res as the DSI can be) I jumped for the chance to replay a game that brought me so many fond memories

2) I like the pokemon designs. Some are badass, some are adorable, some are just weird, some make me laugh

3) The game's story is so much fun. Its a story that anyone can enjoy and its all about creating powerful bonds and such; very nice very easy to follow and get behind.

No worries larz, no one hates you for being biased against pokemon. I'm biased against Bleach but one of my best friends is a Bleach fanboy and I don't hate him for it. Like you I just have no interest in Bleach, it just happens to some people you know?

So I look at the clock and see its officially Christmas! You all know what I got, what you end up getting larz, ryuki, maybe durendal...whoever else reads our top rated TV show here

I was confused at your posting time. wow, it seems i had always assumed the whole of the US was 8 hours after us. actually i had checked california. and gotten that number stuck in my head. not realising that new york, florida etc is only 5 hours.

btw, somebody does hate larz for not being into pokemon.

pikachu does. that little rat, he has a cache of weapons reserved just for people who don't like pokemon. keep your eyes open for that pikachu larz.
