  1. Oh, but that's not Hanya. As I mentioned earlier, that was Gein, and the supposed knuckle head who was beating each other senseless with Sanosuke was Banjin. These two characters are supposed to only appear in the final arc of the manga. The fight with Saito was disappointing though. I expected Himura to put up more of a fight. I also noticed that even with the Sakaba Tou, he still hesitates in using it.
  2. There. Fixed it. It was missing a letter. Now that's strange, I'm sure as hell that my post wasn't like that when I last saw it. Did you fix it Ryuki? Much appreciated.
  3. I just watched Rurouni Kenshin the movie. Most of you guys would probably think, Hey, Den-O is Kenshin! They changed some of the elements but not a bad movie. Not much fighting styles are showcased. The only ones I remember is a few short seconds of Saito in the Gatotsu stance and Kenshin using Sou Ryu Sen. Also a shame Aoshi was not there but instead was replaced by Gein and Banjin who is supposed to appear much later in the Jinchuu arc. How can I post videos again? the usual code that I used doesn't seem to work anymore.
  4. Sure, here's the volume number and how they corresponds to the anime. Volume 1 - Aincrad (Main story) Volume 2 - Aincrad (side stories featured in anime episode 4, 7, 11 and 3 in that order) Volume 3 - Fairy Dance (first part of the Alfheim Online arc, the second arc in the Anime) Volume 4 - Fairy Dance (Second part of the Alfeim Online arc) Volume 5 - Phantom Bullet (not in the anime, features the game Gun Gale Online or GGO) Volume 6 - Phantom Bullet (not in the anime, second part of GGO) Volume 7 - Mother's Rosario (Story that focuses on Asuna) Volume 8 - Early and Late (side story featured in anime episode 5 and 2, also side stories in Alfheim not featured in the anime) Volume 9 - Alicization Beginning (New arc that returns Kirito stuck in the VR world again) Volume 10 - Alicization Running (continuation Kirito's adventure in Alicization) Volume 11 - Alicization Turning (Haven't read yet) I won't discuss about Aincrad and Fairy dance since these are already included in the anime. Phantom Bullet - Involved the game GGO. A government representative responsible in keeping the SAO players alive during the event asked Kirito to investigate another game which causes players to die in real life when they are shot online. Mother's Rosario - Focuses on Asuna during their time in Alfheim Online. Asuna befriends a mysterious player whom even Kirito could not defeat in a duel. Early and Late - Basically a side story book. the side story in Alfheim details how Kirito acquired the Excaliber (most powerful sword int he game) without using cheats from the system. Alicization - Kirito is stuck in a VR world again due to an incident that happened in real life. This VR world is not a game but a virtual environment the government created to develop AI. The time factor here is 10000 times faster, so it means that spending years in the VR environment is actually just a few hours in the real world. There is also a chapter written by the author not included in the official materials. This is supposed to be sometime in episode 10. It was removed probably due to the H nature being depicted. It was the infamous chapter 16.5, so I guess in the anime it should be episode 10.5.
  5. Yay! Finally got my hands on book 11 of SOA, Alicization Turning. At least I don't have to wait for the translations. My, the book is kinda small, smaller than your average manga, but at least I get a lot of inserts. Haven't really scrutinized the book yet since I got home late and didn't have the energy to fiddle with my latest acquisition. Damn, I should've brought the book to work with me.
  6. JJ Abrams Star Trek might not be made for True trekkies, but it certainly reached out to a lot of audiences. I would say that it was a success and might brand those complaining as an elitist. To be honest, I never really liked the Star Trek movies with the exception of the Original crew and First Contact. Generations, maybe, but that's stretching it a bit far. I hated Nemesis. I don't like my people dying even if they're not really alive. I enjoyed the JJ Abrams Star Trek because I was looking at Spock as Sylar. I was expecting him to use his fingers to telepathically cut off the brains of his enemies and mimic their skills. I never really looked at it to be faithful to the franchise in the beginning. Hell, even when Star Trek TNG was first aired, I was skeptical because it didn't have the original crew, but it grew on me. Should a Guyver movie be made, they should leave all the executive producing and directing to the japanese, and use Hollywood studios and budgeting. That's probably about the only thing Hollywood is good for.
  7. Aha, don't worry, that erie feeling you get is contained in Episode 3 only. That's a phase for Kirito and that's probably the only senseless death that you'll ever see in SAO. In fact, I don't even see it as a senseless death as this single event had a great impact on Kirito. This single event made Kirito who he will become. And it sucks to go through all that hardship only to learn later on that it's a waste of time. If you didn't like that, imagine how Kirito felt. The phrase "with great power comes great responsibility" sure does suit a situation like this. You'll see how in the next episode. I would suggest you tough it out as you still haven't seen the lighter side of the story. Most especially when Kirito goes Epic. Epicness happens in Episode 9.
  8. Well, you need to have a brooding Kirito in order to appreciate the happy Kirito. If you don't want to watch it because you are expecting a character you like to be killed, well, that's not gonna happen. Those who die gets to die early on, and you won't have to deal with the emotional hardship of seeing your favorite character die after they grow on you. Naruto is actually full of that. They develop a character to the point of you liking them only to have them get killed later on. *shakes fist at kishimoto*
  9. Hahaha, nice avatar. Elucidator and Dark Repulsor. SOA does have an interesting concept. It tingles the gamer in us with the potential of playing in a VR environment. It's exciting isn't it?
  10. Page 20 (Aah....nervous) Walking in the brick road covered by the high arcade, Naganuma Kiko drew a sigh. After arriving in Tokyo, this is the second time she talked to someone. The private railway in the Shinjuku station, the station personnel was the first one, and then the police officer. (Can't understand well) It was the first time in the capital, and she asked her classmate about the route. This girl, who went to a vacation in the capital, went to concerts and watching movies. With her words, she said that [talking in your normal language, if you go to Tokyo you won't be able to communicate], she was worried, but somehow made it. Even the houses on the street, comparing it with the skyscraper in Shinjuku, it was a big difference from her own home which continues from the residential district. It was the evening of Sunday. In front of the station are the confusing mass of people going home, the wave of people walking in the shopping district begins to break through, and suddently became dark. Kiko hastened her walking. The front that is cut by the arcade was a large highway. The cars heading towards the center of the city continuously go by. The atmosphere from crossing the highway and the street are different. The area with a wide site are connected to the old apartments. Page 21 Confirming the markings on the telephone pole, Kiko reached the house she was seeking. It looks like a house from a long time ago, with the narrow winding alleys. No matter how many dead end she faced, when she finally found it, it was already sunset. (there it is...) In front of the door with an earthen embedded nameplate, Kiko stood still. The surname [Naganuma] was indicated there. There was a thick woods in between the next houses. Pushing on the concrete wall fence, there were various kinds of small trees. Between the door, a thin deciduous tree is growing. Inside it, is the house of his uncle that she saw for the first time. In a 2 story western styled house, concrete walls, with ivy growing in the north side. There was a window in what seems to be like the attic. He was standing there alone in the bright spot, and later went into the dark area of the window. There seems to be only one light, which is somewhat lonely. Even in the neighborhood of our has has this kind of mansion, Kiko thought. Remembering herself that she was in an unoccupied house, she became as rough as she wanted. There was a face of a woman peeking in the window, she can here the sound of a violin inside the house, it had been the rumor.
  11. Page 18 [Thank you very much] The officer see off the form of a girl walking in the evening street. He noticed that he forgot to ask her name, then he thought that there is no need for it. the officer was busy after all. In the outskirts, there is a place called Mount Narisawa. Although it is called [mountain], it is merely a slightly elevated hill, just a week ago, there was a long haul truck driver killed on the pathway of the mountain side. There were several suspicious points in the incident. The truck stopped in the mountains outside of the usual route, leaving the vehicle with the engine still running. At most, the death was a mystery. It might be an urban legend about a giant beast tearing it off. The most bothersome thing is that the upper echelons have notified that the area be sealed off, and there was no way to investigate it. There were even rumors that the cargo was a high classified national information, the real situation is unknown. Because of that, the suspect is still not yet caught until now. There were also those who conceal themselves in fear. The police have also strengthened their patrol. Even if the girl is a runaway, there is no need to be concerned. I never would have thought of trying to find out more about the place she was inquiring about. Page 19 Image

Before when I have gigabytes of media collected everyday, I burn them to DVD once I complete a set. Nowadays, they just sit on my hard drive. I do like to ask how this topic would be related to Guyver in general. Of course unless you guys are going to discuss something that is rather a current hot topic?
  13. What's wrong with being gay? Last time I checked, gay meant happy.
  14. Page 16 The little girl who is standing in the entrance of the local police station, said [Pardon my interruption], with her head bowed. The police officer in front of the desk, felt like he was a teacher in a classroom. Usually it's [excuse me] or [umm..], answering in a simple easy tone. [what's the matter?] [How do you go to the fifth district of Narisawa] Without thinking, he looked up at the figure of the girl. The school badge in her school uniform has a [high]* written on it. That is the design that can be seen. Carrying a large vinyl sports bag. This is unexpected. Which district did she come from, he thought that she was not here to visit a relative. *tl note: [High] as in high school. Page 17 (In any case, she is not from here, it might be an influence from friends) The still young police officer, teased the school girl. Were weren't many courteous girl like this. -there are places like that. Her looks was not bad. Her black metal framed glass suits her. [Where at the fifth district?]<br />[38 of 6. Naganuma Keichirou] [Are you a relative?] [Yes, he's my uncle] [school vacation?] [Ah, yes. That's this year. I totally forgot] Seeing her turning her head, the police officer observed the girl. The girls reply is not like it was obsessed with something. It doesn't look like she ran away. [um...I'm newly assigned here] The police officer pointed his finger on the map in the wall. [is it here. it's a bit far, though. The shop in front of the station, there is a signboard. It's a place with an arcade. Just go straight through there....] After listening to the explanation, the girl politely bowed her head.
  15. Ah, right you are. Then if you will allow, I will now start translating those pages that I've already encoded. I'll await our next step once I finished the ones already posted here. So.... where was I?

Alright, to be fair, I may have over stepped my boundaries which is why I will retract my statement about your site. However, my opinion on the rest of my statement still holds true. Let's stop right here as I do not want to escalate this particular issue any further. Obviously both of us agree to disagree.
  17. Hold on a sec. I forgot about this. Let me push this back up into the first page so I can remember to continue where I left off.
  18. Ahem, so where do we stand with this novel? I remembered this since Odin mentioned Kamen Rider Novel. Since I also remember Ryuki putting this on ebay, I'm not sure about the future of this project. Personally, I'm not used to the pace that we're doing with the novels. I find it too slow. Although it's much easier for me to encode these in Japanese, having to translate what I encoded is additional effort, something what we call "double handling". I'd like to know where we are on this before I continue to do anything.
  19. Will this be released in English or in Japanese? Sounds interesting.
  20. Jetpack Joyride - Blackberry Playbook. Sad but true. And the only time I get to play this is when I'm taking a dump. Long gone are the days that I sit for 12 hours straight playing final fantasy.
  21. I remember having the same topic about this way back in the old guyver.net forums. There was an intense debate regarding the regression of internal organs and all the sort. I'm not of a scientific mind so I don't think I can answer your queries adequately. If you've read the VDF hosted somewhere in this site, you might get the general idea as to what happens to the body when bioboosting happens.

Pardon the jargon that I utilized. I did not mean any offense by this. I was merely stating that not all guyver fans are as zealous as yourself. If all readers share the same passion that you have shown, it might be much easier to convince english companies to take on Guyver.
  23. I like the nendroid, it's kinda cute. Kirito figma, not much. I'm also done reading Alicization Running. Didn't seem like Kirito lost his memories. In fact, all his memories are intact in underworld. I'm getting a feeling that the Alicization arc will run its course like Narnia. Kirito being an old man before finally waking up in the real world.

I did and that's the impression that I am getting.

My point exactly. Irregardless if my example is Naruto or not, the basic principle applies. Ok, if you don't want Naruto, then how about Gundam? War? Not really a children's cup of tea, but it has a huge market. Do correct me if I misunderstand from where you're coming from, but are you basically saying that doing scanlation is killing the Guyver Franchise? If so, then you are hosting a website doing exactly that.
