Hey don't look at me. I've done my job using the Chinese scans despite my apprehensions on using them. I think everyone is waiting on the Japanese scans just to make sure that the names of the attacks are correct.

Hacking to the gate. This was used as the opening theme of Steins;Gate. Very catchy song. This is one of the great opening songs that I didn't fast forward when watching the anime. This is the music video performed by Kanako Ito.

I never really got into Lupin III. I know it's good, but I guess I don't have any incentive to watch the show. Especially that it's an old series. Also, I'm now regretting that I've read spoilers for steins;gate. Spoilers never really bothered me, but based on the pacing of the show, it seems like they wanted to surprise the viewers. I'm sure it would have more emotional value should I watched it without reading spoilers. I stopped reading spoilers and I'm already at episode 20, so I don't know what will happen next. Hopefully I won't get disappointed when I finally finish the series. But I have to say, the concept is very appealing to me. -
What's for dinner? Literally, sort of...food discussion.

Ah, health issues. How nice it is to be young and carefree. Let's talk about this again after 10 years. I used to be like that. Eat whatever I wanted without a care in the world. I was able to eat two whole pizza by myself in one sitting. Then a lot of my friends started getting sick. Now there's too many things they can't eat. They had too many medications for maintenance, and it's something that will make you think: Do you want to be like them? Maybe some of their habits rubbed off on me. At least I'm proud to say that I'm free from any form of medication. You guys are right though. It's not for me to say what you can and can't eat. Enjoy your life by all means. I'm just saying that if and when we hang out, I won't be able to keep up with you guys. Good God! I feel so old just saying that. -
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Movie Reboot
durendal replied to odin's topic in Japanese Entertainment
Actors typically doesn't want to be typecast. That's the main reason they leave a franchise. As everyone is aware, Leonard Nimoy will forever be known as Spock. That's what most actors want to avoid. As for the movie, it would be a great pull if they managed to convince all the previous actors to reprise their roles, mash them up together and see where it gets. As for the Giant robots, I'm more inclined on seeing them the traditional way. CGI just don't cut it. It makes them look so fake. This is already a decade old technology so I don't see any reason why Hollywood wouldn't be able to replicate, or at least improve upon it. -

Eating too much porkchops isn't really helping your heart. Actually, eating too much of anything is bad for you no matter what they are. I use to love porkchops, but now I'm leaning more on steaks. Filet Mignon, medium rare, is by far my favorite steak. Had the best one when I was in Indianapolis. Speaking of meat, Kobe beef wasn't as big a deal as I expected. It does melts in your mouth but it's full of fat. Not that it's a bad thing, but I guess this is more of personal preference. Kobe beef is tender, but I prefer the traditional wagyu. There was this restaurant in Japan that we ate and we were first given the traditional Wagyu, and then Kobe beef after to compare. In terms of tenderness, Kobe beef wins hands down. But in terms of taste, I prefer the traditional Wagyu. -
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Movie Reboot

Oh and to add, I think that the franchise would endure up to this time if Saban didn't use stock footage. It would have been better if they copied instead of used the original series, then they slowly evolved into their own version of Power Rangers. The Power Rangers actually had a lot of potential, given the following they had in their original run. They relied too much on the original version that they didn't even consider how the fans viewed the source material. Such a shame really. It's not very difficult to come up with your own version of the power rangers. Look at where Sentai is now. Trains? I'm willing to bet that some of our hardcore friends in this forum could come up with a better concept for a sentai series. They should have hired a chief creative officer to manage the direction of the series. I can go on all day about what went wrong and how they should have done things, but that's a subject for another topic, which I'm sure a lot of our friends here have a lot to say about. -
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Movie Reboot

Highly doubtful that this will revive the franchise. The first movie was actually way worse than the Power Ranger series itself. I mean seriously, half baked CGI? They should at least put up a decent special effects even if the story isn't that great. Look at all the Sentai movies created all these years. I can boldly say that the story part is a bit wanting, but fans don't see it for the story, but because they want to see their favorite characters collaboration. It's the perfect excuse to lump all the different series into one screen. Now if lionsgate can pull this off, maybe, just maybe, they can revive the franchise without having to borrow much stock footage. I think it would be wise to make a movie out of all the different Power Rangers that appeared in the franchise into one single movie, like how the Japanese guys does it. But I still doubt that will happen. Saban has always been borrowing materials from the oriental counterpart for as long as I can remember. -

The way to avoid rice sticking and burning in the pan is to use low flame. Rice don't normally stick on the pan unless you are cooking it in high heat. There will be residue, but with just the right amount of temperature, these can be easily washed off if soaked in soap and water for a few minutes. Your combination is a bit interesting, as I know that curry and sweet corn goes well together. If teriyaki sauce is available to you, you might want to include it in the combination and use that instead of vegetable stock. -

Steins;Gate looks interesting. Got really curious as this is a top rated show next to Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan). Although there is no flashy graphics or mind blowing special effects, the story itself is interesting. It revolves heavily on the urban legend of John Titor, who claims to be a time traveler. It is rare that the story alone keeps me hooked on the series. -
With the recent episodes of GoT, I myself have been surprised by what's happening in the HBO series. There seems to be a lot more materials popping out that weren't in the books. There were even some information that are revealed this early but was only stated in another at a later time. Could this be a sign of what is to come from GRRM's 6th and 7th book? Or are they rushing the series to it's finale due to the age of the actors? For one, the actress playing Arya is getting taller and older, and in the later books, she's still a small child.

Page 16 red text at top: "Unit" Activated!? red text at top right: Lisker Activity starts!! black text: Max who visits Mizuki's home, he questions her about the relationship with Tetsu and Cronos. What Mizuki knows, is that her father and Tetsu works as scientists for the Cronos Corporation. Looking at Mizuki's manners, that was it for Sean. Sean somehow cheered Mizuki when she was dejected during her father's death. She was thankful for that, because Max was inside the room, the sudden visit did not hide the annoyance in his face. With Sean having doubts, he discovered Max when he hid in the shadows of the window, misunderstood what was happening between the two. Sean who was in despair, said goodbye to Mizuki, riding the bike, and turned back. At that time, Lisker who received his orders from Balcus, together with Striker and Ramsy, and accompanied by his mistress Weber, continued to search for the unit. searching the footprints of Tetsu, Striker and the others went to look into the trash bag. However, they could not locate the unit, Lisker's face turned purple and walked away. What hand is left to him-? blue text at top: Wanting to console a heartbroken Mizuki, Sean tried hsi best to create a smile. However, he saw the image of Max inside the room, what disappointment. blue text at middle: Sean who was down, running away with his bike, such return was an unexpected situation.... blue text at bottom: speaking with a Kansai accent slang, they continued their search. The muscular girl on the left picture, is the mistress of Lisker, Weber. [tl note: I have no idea what kansai accent slang is, or how it sounds like. but that's what is written there. I'm guessing this is more of a Japanese dubbed thing.]

On page 20, I think that is fine. The author is actually putting emphasis on the "usage of words". As for page 21, It's was saying that there was a rumor about a woman peeking from the window while hearing the sound of a violin. She is talking about another house which she remembers. Or were you referring to the "being rough" part? It means that she can get rowdy as much as she wants.

So I've read DC's Trinity War and Forever Evil. I was curious about forever evil, and since I didn't know how that happened, I back read Trinity War to get the gists of what happened. It was good, but not as exciting as the previous events. I'm still waiting for the last issue of Forever Evil. This better be good. Don't know if this will restore the status quo or change it once again.

Page 15 blue text top: Max, being this close to arranging a meeting with Tetsu to hear about the information of the organization. However, after hearing him scream, what he saw was a tragedy. red text: Discovery!! Guyver Unit! black text: Mizuki and Max proceeded to the scene where Tetsu's corpse was discovered. Max himself, was the only eye witness to this! So, worried about Mizuki, Sean shadows her. Sean who was watching from a distance from the place of incident, he discovered something strange. Inside the red bag was a shining octagonal object=Unit! Without knowing what it was, Sean placed the thing into his own day bag. On the other hand, in the main base of Cronos, Lisker who had doubts about the contents of the case was not the unit but a toaster. Cronos President Balcus was infuriated, and reprimanded Lisker. the brow of Balcus split opened, revealing a flesh colored globe=Zoacrystal. With this mysterious power of this globe, one would lose the freedom of one's physical body, tormenting Lisker. When Balcus finally calmed from his anger, he ordered Lisker to once again search for the unit! blue text at middle: Entirely a coincidence, Sean managed to obtaint he unit. From that time one, his destiny as the "Guyver" opens!! blue text at bottom: Cronos President Balcus. Compels the Zoanoids to move via mind control.

No matter how much safeguards you put to protect certain contents, as long as there is a strong will to get it, they always find a way. Even if you require to authenticate the age, they can easily fake this. I would suggest to put these "controversial" images on a separate board which can still be accessed from this site. However, before proceeding to the inside, a disclaimer should be put with the user agreeing that he/she is already 18 of age. At least that would satisfy the legal obligation of the site. With regards to the maturity of the contents of Guyver itself, do remember that Japanese culture have a different perspective on censorship. The news reports violence but we don't see them reporting fornication. As for my stand on this matter, I prefer not to be part of it.

International House of Pancakes. Who knew that a pancake house would be able to serve a heavy dinner. -
Wow, I gotta try that. Don't know why you hate broccoli, but broccoli tastes good to me. Or perhaps that's the american version of broccoli where it's soggy and tasteless. And yes, I've tasted american vegetables (While I was in the US), and they tastes like crap. No wonder a lot of kids in the US hates eating vegetables.

When a woman says "What?", it's not because she didn't hear you. She's giving you a chance to change what you said.

I think the answer to this question would be the same as how you feel about printing the actual manga. Though many might frown upon this act, there's really nothing we can do if you have the digital copies. I think its enough that we stick the digital copies up here, going the next step as to offering to print it might be going a wee bit too far. There might be a loophole, but I can't just outright say it.

Pig Brains. It's not disgusting for me, but it has a texture like soft tofu and have a salty taste. We also happen to eat frog legs. Now that really tastes like chicken. There is one food that many really shy away from. Fertilized egg. Most of the people I try to introduce this food really like it's taste, until I tell them what it is.
