i like the look of this. i dont know why but i like it when the Toku do 'Japanesy' type things ie SamuraI and Ninja . it seems to work that little bit better. sothis could be a promising choice...

On the whole keep it in the family thing with Cronos and their hidden normal ''humanity '' i have wondered for a time about this... actually.. forget it. it'll take too long to type. i'll mention it another time in a new topic!! its a second marriage, seemingly enforced by Cronos. i think it will be that or looking at the last page something changed the whole cutesy relationship.... so i think its that she went after Sho for killing Oswald or maybe Cronos itself for ruining their relationship in the first place. this chapter was cool but also frustrating!

yeah im still sayng there is at least 10 books to come! Good luck on finding the Gigantics the ones out there are EXSPENSIVE!! im so glad i got mine when they were originally released.

good work Lost Unit! the first effort really did need tweaking to bring back the shape of Valkyria... brings home to me the skill of drawing manga or bodies an odd line here or thee can really throw things off! Also good work Ryuki! a nice montage there! This reminds me of an old competion we had on here... it was a colouring comp but i kind of cheated and did F all colouring ... i spent most of my time on the composition!! my colouring effort original if anyone wants a play with colour

it did say Guyver is back in 2 months... do you reckon this is because he's doing the redraws/additions and the cover for book 30?? or maybe he's just off on his summer holidays!

great stuff. i like both your points. i know we cant do everything perfectly in sequence and change takes time. it just irks me that as a civilisation we seem to have our priorities wrong, thats all. to me it seems the way or order in which we do things is - ''highly illogical'' !!

i see a lot of technological and scientific advances being made. its funny that a lot of the time these scientists are interviewed and are always citing start rek as inspiration and that they grew up watching star trek. now thats all well and good but what i want to know is why has everyone seemed to forget the philosophy shown in star trek?? we have all these scientific advances but to what end?? we still have people starving and we still have other unneccesary BS going on that could be helped by new technologies... with great power comes great responsibility. so what we may have warp drives etc. whats the good of exploring space ( / time) if we are going to represent humanity as we are now?? what good will it do us? we should be trying to seriously sort out our philosophical and moral being and uniting as a race before jumping off into space only be to be deemed a bunch of idiots by our ET cousins out there. of course im not saying we should do this just to justify space exploration, im saying it for the good of humankind. i personally think space exploration and travel is a complete watse of time until Sol starts dieing. its like the proverb - never look for happiness outside of yourself. we have a perectly beautiful planet, mother earth that sustains us and we have eachother, that is our immediate problem, lesson, to get on with eachother and respect the earth so we can survive here together in harmony!!! to do this we need less focus on unneccesary things, less religious dogma and more philosphical ethics and spirituality . sorry im just ranting out loud now Peace!

wow this looks cool but slightly crap? i say that because for saying this is a chinese sentai the kung fu in it is laughable. of all the action directors in the orient they couldnt find a decent one for this show??? have you seen or heard of 'Armor Hero'? it seems to be like a chinese sentai of kamen riders. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vn0uBbEkhrk i have some eps but havent watched them yet, its subbed by doremii. i have about 5 sentais and 6 kamen riders to watch so not sure i'll get around to watching it anytime soon!!!

all 3 of those series are good. although Hurricanger is good it is of a different feel than the other 2, its like an older sentai, you may or may not like that. Dekaranger is just awesome (i'd say look at my review but it got swept away in the forum cull awhile back i think ) Boukenger is alright, its entertaining enough but not as good as Dekaranger IMHO. i also highly recommend Dairanger - its probably my favourite sentai so far (review still up). i recommend staying away from Goseiger - its S**t. I have too many sentai to watch!! i have all the recent ones i havent seen and also have got Jetman and waiting for GUIS to finish Maskman and Kakuranger.. i am going to start Shinkenger soon. on the KR front i am watching W ,and i'm really enjoying it.

long post - but there is a point!! so due to their lateness the other week i broke my routine and watched an over time release of ep 10... now all i will say is i am accustomed to TVN so i usually just wait for their release and as far as i can tell apart from the little bit of extra effort TVN put in with colours etc. there isnt that much difference apart from them calling it Voltasaur Team Kyoryuger - so why am i mentioning it??..... ordinarily i wouldnt, but with this Sentai there may be a major factor involved here... and that is Blue's oyaji gags or 'old man jokes' / his spectacular wordplay. now im sure in japan its very clever but to me im just not getting it... i mean i get why its supposed to be funny but im not getting it and as such its a bit wtf /meh. in the TVN version we have what i presume is a literal translation and the meaning of the words to understand what they have translated which unless something is 'lost in translaltion' are never very amusing at all and just seem a little bit like ball ache to have to read all the text in 1 second... in the overtime version they actually just make stuff up for those appropriate lines, i think ... im only basing this off ep 10 where there are two old man gags in both TVN instances it just seems like a normal sentence, but in the overtime version we have black say - ''i guess its all water under the bridge to him'' and blue replys - ''so WATER we going to do?? '' - hah hah, i get that, its not hilarious, but it is amusing and makes sense as a 'joke'. then later blue is asked to lend his shield out and he replys ''SHIELD with a kiss''. i don't know if anyone else cares but i might switch to overtime just for this series. im going to seek out the ep where it was a Blue ep as it is filled with jokes and see what they made up for that!!

well thats still not great seeing as there is probably 10 times that amount who have acted as rangers in 20 years of shows... i have no plans to watch this anyway really, but what i will say is that i feel sorry for Ranger fans having to have the anniversary show based off Goseiger - they should have twisted Bandai's arm and got Kyoryuger instead - it would have made a good thing having the first dinosaur based and the latest anniversary one aswell... anyway, too bad.

i can empathise, ive been in my family home a long time and wouldnt like to think of it not being there anymore if i wanted / needed it. like you said though, life does dump on us sometimes and at these times you do have to find comfort in the good things that you still have....from my own experience nothing is more important than your family or your health. im sure these things seem self explanatory but some people do tend to forget / feel that. i could start getting all metaphorical here but i wont, instead i'll return some encouragement you gave me, so... ganbatte! faito!

its a possibility but Takaya doesn't state that. obviously im not the authority, but i don't think its probable because.... the best information we can get from the manga is that they reverse engineered the design from data gathered from observations of G2's Control Metal, but could not get it 100% correct. there is no mention of a repair or anything using Guyver 2's inner metal as the base. and if you think about it if the G2 metal wasn't faulty then Oswald A. Lisker would probably have regenerated . the G2 unit was faulty to begin with so if they did use it as the base for the Artificial Metal it would be flawed from the beginning. maybe that is another reason why the Artificial Metal is faulty because there data was from a faulty / damaged control metal? or maybe its just that it was too advanced a technologically for Cronos to replicate.

yeah that guys pronunciation struck me as very precise - like he was over compensating for the fact he wasnt a native japanese speaker. i cant really comment though as i dont know any japanese!! i hope he appears some more throughout the series. apparently he was in another Toku called Sazar X... anyone seen that??

sorry to hear you feel crap dude. i would give lots of positive advice, but im sure you know how to not feel bad about the situation. if im right its not that you dont have the mental ability to move on from this point its just that the situation is happening and quite frankly it sucks for you. so once again all i'll offer you is some good luck

yeah , its like i said they kid of have gone back to standard sentai but they are interweaving something else along the way which is making it different and saving it being completey boring... i mean some early eps of other sentais get a bit crap. same old thing happens new monster gets defetated introduce new powers etc.. and then a story starts to build later. this stime they are starting the other 'story from the start sprinkling bits in to these early eps. if it hadnt have been there then these eps would have been a litltle - meh!! i love them for subbing but i wish TVN would keep up with it , i mean i am usually behind!! but im actually now waiting.... 10 isnt out and yet 12 aired the other day i think.. oh well, at least theyre doing it, and garo and KR and ... and....so cant complain too much.

i dont get how either of you came to that conclusion?.... from what i gather in this chapter Shin was saying that Cronos cultivated the 2f's bioboost organism from a sample of Guyver 2's boost organism - not the control metal.... thats why he explains that they had to make an ''artificial control metal'' to control it. he also said it was incomplete and they had halted the project... that is why Valkyria is having problems as the control metal was not complete because due to its complexity, Cronos scientists couldnt fully replicate the tech that the advents made.

yeah the boost organism has some kind of brain , but it works differently to a humans otherwise if it could be controlled by telepathy why would the creators bother with the control metal?? the whole thing of control in the Guyver boils down to telepathic control - Creators over Zoalords , Zoalords over Zoanoids. Guyver was ''out of control'' or a ''non standard product'' (or whatever) because it wouldnt respond to telepathic command when boosted, so in a sense Aptom is a ''Guyver '', but not the Bioboosted organism kind.

im thinking purely because of the way the name was announced - that it is his little sister... 'Oswald A Lisker ' and 'Valkyria F Lisker' i mean regardless if you have a middle name or not people dont usually go around announcing it like that,so it could be a family thing? or they could be husband and wife who met through cronos and got wed??? ahhhh... a nice cronos wedding ! I wonder if Barcas wore a nice hat?? anyway... i dont think it was a revelation about the organism, i think Takaya was just reiterating the fact that the boost organism needs to have the control metal or its just uncontrollable... i.e. the bird and mouse chimera is just a genetic mess, you wouldnt be able to seperate them into a bird and mouse again they are just a hybrid of the boost organism, mouse and bird, ...but with a control medal you can call the armour let the creature enhance the host and extract the boost organism from the host when required. as for the Zoalords psionically controlling the creature - that wold take some doing wouldnt it !? they would effectively have to be a pupeteer for it controlling its every move, rather than just having to give a single command to a zoanoid and them carry it out themselves... but im guessing it wouldnt work anyway, because it seems that the boost organism isnt a sentient creature or at least it doesnt have a brain like a human.

i eccho odins words. and i have to have respect for anyone named after BanBan!... although i dont think we ever crossed paths on the board i remember you being here, but i wasnt into Toku at that time anyway, although in the past couple of years i have got into super sentai Garo and Kamn Rider ( i did some sentai reviews in the enetertainment section - dekaranger, boukenger dairanger) so i guess in an indirect way i have you to thank for that, so cheers!

oh well, at least you know you have a classic to watch when you get a chance... i still have the fondest memories of this sentai. i read in your blog about your recent events so good luck with it all.. (depending on how you look at it ) you can look forward to a time when you have nothing to do but watch toku /sentai! kind of related - SHF figuarts just announced a figure of Ryu Ranger so my wallet is crying because it would be extremely rude of me not to get it! but at least i have 4 months to save up!

well i kind of know where you are coming from the thing is that i think we can forget how special a relationship like this can be, i mean when you analyse it, there are different sorts of friendships, not all of them are so strong or 'real'... out of 7 billion people if we can find someone we truly get on with, respect and trust it is truly a gift, so why shoud you ignore it or not want to make it as perfect as possible. if you still find each other attractive i suppose romance would be the 'cherry on the cake'.... i hope it works out for you, whatever happens

no its not just you im glad the dancing doesnrt seem to be ALL the time... but the music is still a poor choice in my opinion.

when im fully better i would like to interact more with people, i want to help people, but first i need myself back in a position to do so. is it romance you want or companionship? my reason for asking would be long drawn out and personal so i wont go into detail, im sure youve asked yourself that anyway, but it might be something to think about

am i the only one with enough sentai stamina to watch this still?? watched ep 8 the other day. the formula seems to have reverted back to standard sentai... you know what i mean, i.e not as good as go-busters. i must say they are trying to keep it fresh though by lacing threads of a broader story through the episode. i think that is the only thing making it ok at the moment apart from the action. the dinosaur fart in ep 7 was hilarious / not funny at the same time and as such kind of cancelled itself out. it does seem as if we are going to get a bad guy zords combo at some point... maybe the reason for he bad guys having same colours as the Kyoryugers??
