  1. I agree with the prevailing opinion. I think that Jabir's original zoaform is the basis for this combined mode, but that the giant size comes from Kurumegnik's power. I suspect his power is probably a lot like this: projecting a spherical force field around his central, armored form, and attacking from a distance with energy spheres, like he did with Aptom back during the battle with Prukshutal. ...I also strongly suspect we're going to see their separate forms when Agito beats them. Unless they defeat him. That'd be a turn-up, wouldn't it?
  2. The problem with the Giga-Smasher is that it might do severe damage to the planet itself if it is not used with great care. I wonder... will we see it take a chunk out of the moon by mistake? That's kind of tradition in disaster manga, isn't it - damaging the moon?
  3. Damn, that's pretty, Cannibal.
  4. No, I don't think I agree. Archanfel was in bio-stasis for a really long time. Perhaps even from shortly after him stopping the asteroid, right until Barkas found him circa 1600. I don't think he interrupted his sleep, otherwise he surely would have started Chronos much sooner. And let's look at Archanfel's mindset versus any known godly archetypes. He fits none of them. With the possible exception of Asatru (Norse religion) which venerates battle and death on the battle field. Hmmm. If Zoanoids had any religion besides blind obedience to the Zoalords it would be Asatru, I think. But Archanfel's own psychology is so utterly non-'godly'. How would he even think up commandments? He has no needs, he is complete within himself. He doesn't even need to eat or drink, he needs no shelter (I mean, the temple is nice, but he could just lay down wherever to sleep so long as he could be reasonably sure he wouldn't be disturbed. But he could just bed down atop K2 for that, for instance), no clothing. Wealth means nothing to him and there is no reason to assume he would have sexual desires since reproduction and intimate relationships do not jibe with his job description. He commands armies and that's it. He does not get older, and while he appears beautiful, he probably has no concept of that, either. So he has no desires we would understand at all. And likewise he would not understand ours. He does not need to vie for power or compete with anyone because that's implicitly impossible in the scheme of things. No, Archanfel is no god... and he wouldn't play god, either. If anything you'd think he'd find the concept distasteful. He knows we were created, he knows why we were created and he also knows our creator rejected us. Depressing! Imagine knowing without a shadow of a doubt that there is somebody up there... and he hates you. ... You know, you'd think he and the Guyvers would make natural allies. But he needs a Unit. Once he finds out Guyot's still alive, that should have some interesting consequences. I wonder if he still has the Remover. I doubt Guyot can still use it - it probably requires more bio-energy than he can muster now. ... Were any of the other Zoalords religious? Or have they ever used religion to their own ends? Again I'd have to say "I don't think so". The necessity of remaining hidden would preclude that. Although? Maybe the Illuminati were a Chronos operation.

The Deep Six... Cadan - Breach Golvarun - Frostbite Nealcos - Undertow Synevite - Kraken Eurenorm - Riptide Bystoma - Stinger
  6. Agito's looking a little nervous... 'course, this is his first time. I wonder if the Gigantic Dark Exceed is also differently colored than the Gigantic mode?

..Research? I'm just making stuff up here. Like I said, Nineties style, when all superhero and -villain names had to be ridiculously 'badass'.

No, but that's just it - pretty sure the Zoanoids' names don't actually mean anything in Japanese or any language. (Excepting names like Enzyme, Oranganann - which I think is Indonesian for 'being human' - Libertus, and Casvarius, which refers to the Cassowary). Some more Hyper-Zoanoids... Zerbebuth - Arsenal Panadyne - Alchemy Myumelzee - Sonic Bilbo-Negg - Pinball Gastal - Spectral
  9. He should be six times as badass as this guy... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_MW65XxS7s

We still don't really know just how Zoanoids are named. Presumably the scientists decide on a name, either individually as a sort of recognition if they were mainly responsible for some new type, or as a committee; or maybe it's the Zoalords' privilege. Thing is, most names don't seem to make much sense. Even in Japanese. So... how would you name Zoanoid types if they had to have English, somewhat descriptive names - ie, supervillain names, kind of 90's style? Gregole – Ramhorn Vamore – Glare Ramotith – Feral Thancrus - Deathblade Derzerb - Ironclad Gaster - Blastwave Elegen - Conduit Zektoll - Hercules
  11. But Gusyphus can become invisible AND has a force field.
  12. It happened, alright. His name was never revealed. Never got a data file, nor did the other three guys. I really would have liked to know more about the guy whose entire torso was one huge bioblaster.
  13. I always assumed the organism that is the base of the Guyver has extreme regenerative properties, as well as being able to absorb other organisms - and that the Creators weaponized it, adding cybernetic functions contained within the control medal and the gravity orb. It's almost like 'the thing'. So... I think you really have something there, Mirabilis. Aptom does seem based on the G-organism.
  14. That is quite an intriguing thought... and when you think about it, it's strange that, after that first time, nothing like this ever happened again. None of Sho's bodyparts ever got separated from the control medal ever again. Agito would never allow one of his bodyparts to go missing, but it's a tantalizing idea. Would a bio-boosted clone of Guyver III be even more dangerous than Sho's?
  15. Persistent fear of death at the hands of a practically unstoppable killing machine who used to be your best friend is probably a pretty good boner-killer. (Boner-terminator?)
  16. It is. It's one of the things we really never hear from again, apart from the fact the Guyvers can communicate with each other. I guess they might contact Valcuria some day, too.
  17. That was 'Sacrifice', though, not 'the Omac project'.
  18. There are no aquatic dinosaurs*. Or flying dinosaurs, for that matter. All dinosaurs are terrestrial. Sea-dwelling reptiles include plesiosaurs, pliosaurs, ichthyosaurs, nothosaurs, mosasaurs and even placodonts. I'm guessing the large reptile from 'Jurassic World' is a pliosaur, probably a Kronosaurus. (checks) It's a Mosasaurus. More closely related to crocodiles. * Spinosaurus is now believed to be partly aquatic, actually. So Jurassic Park III actually had that right.
  19. Saw it. Liked it. It's good. Some good payoffs. I was hoping for a Spider-Man teaser, but all we got was a mention... Stealth badass Luis. Heh. *** The villain is a complicated combination of characters. He's named Darren Cross, but has virtually nothing in common with the comic book version (for one thing, that guy was hot pink and looked like the Hulk) besides being a millionaire industrialist; and also, he had nothing to do with Hank Pym. Instead, he was Scott Lang's first enemy. The signpost bald head and desire to outclass and surpass Hank Pym is more reminiscent of Elihas Starr, aka 'Egghead', whom I mentioned before. He was Hank Pym's arch enemy for a while, as well as a genius scientist who wanted to steal Pym's inventions. The Yellowjacket identity is in fact one of Hank Pym's own superheroic identities, specifically when he was suffering from debilitating emotional stress. (Hence the 'I saw too much of myself in you' and the mind-altering aspects of Pym Particle exposure). Finally, and most fascinatingly, this Yellowjacket is also a version of Ultron! Ultron, in the Marvel cinematic universe, is of course a creation of Tony Stark and Bruce Banner - but in the comics, he was created by Hank Pym, and moreover, always viewed him as the father he needed to exceed, to be superior to. He even looks a little like Ultron, and I don't think that's a coincidence. Hank Pym has gotten shortchanged in the Marvel cinematic universe so far, and that's not really fair - he was the oldest founding Avenger, only two months younger than the Fantastic Four. Transferring Ultron to Tony Stark was logical, but it was a bit like stealing. Transferring some of the Ultron persona to Yellowjacket was a compromise.
  20. Well, if this combined Zoalord really is geometrically more powerful than the Zoalords we have seen so far, he might approach Archanfel in power. So that would force Agito to go Exceed or be destroyed outright. The landscape will not improve for this, I fear. It's a good thing this base is in the middle of nowhere. The Zoaform seems to have something of an angel, with those wings, or rather a demon, given those horns. If the basic form is indeed Jabir's, I guess we could call it either Shaitain, Iblis, Az'rael or Malak al-Maut.
  21. Nice work, Cannibal. ...Going by what we see, I am gonna say Jabir's battleform looked a lot like this, but more ordinary Zoalord-sized - and Clumegnig probably projected an energy sphere around himself. Energy spheres are his thing. I really hope we get some artwork of that...
  22. Yes, of course... all their research into combining. Branchai, the Unus... I don't think these are their original forms. If Barcas had developed combining Zoaforms that long ago, the Guyvers would have been defeated by now. But imagine how powerful this thing must be, considering how much more powerful Dimer and Trima are compared to the Unus! Geometrical increase! ...Just like Crystal Gems, too. So... Clumegnig and Jabir... combined mode name?
  23. Derzerb. Fire is cool. But seriously, when I think of 'backstory' for the 5, I usually default to him. I don't know why. Because he's the only black Zoanoid we've seen so far? Gaster also interests me because of his missile ability. Talk about cutting loose. Special delivery!
  24. My sweetheart and me fell in love within an hour and we didn't even see each other.
  25. Saw it. Liked it. *** It's a damn sight better than 'Salvation'. Even if it was pretty unsubtle in places.
