  1. Darn. That never occurred to me, Christ and twelve disciples, including a traitor, plus a 'most beloved one' (like John). It would almost have to be an inspiration at some level.
  2. I really tried it with the series. But I made it about three-quarters into the fourth episode and I just threw up my hands in despair. So I read the synopsis on Wikipedia and frankly I am glad. Onward to 'Daredevil' season 2.
  3. So... can we safely assyme that was his 'original' battleform and that giant angel was their 'combined' mode? I wonder what surprises Kurumegnik still has in store. I simply can't believe his original battleform was always like that. Imagine Barcas going "And for his battleform, he'll turn into a ball."
  4. The idea of Agito possessing a weapon that potent is scary. Once he destroys Chronos per his plan, what will his follow-up be? The world is changed, no matter how you look at it. ...Is the origin of humanity as a living bio-weapon actually public knowledge?
  5. Oh.. also... this is the face beneath the mask... Hum. In the context of the discussion we had on this thread, it's odd that Phasma turned out to have feet of clay. The most competent villain in the movie was General Hux, who is a very manly man.
  6. Two years - no. That's twenty chapters AT MOST. We still need to cover a lot of ground.
  7. That is gold.
  8. Why? What puzzled you? Of course, this used to be the Ancient One...
  9. He looks more menacing than ever.
  10. I suppose the Ancient One can be anyone... reincarnation and all that.
  11. We don't know what Apollyon's agenda is, but we do know he is expecting 'them' to come soon. And of course it is in his best interests to ensure no Zoalord gets his hands on a G-unit, because such a being would be unstoppable.
  12. Nice... ..Why don't they make figmas of these though?
  13. That's Magneto from the Ultimate Universe. You can safely ignore everything from those comics. For one thing, Thor's hammer does not have the 'worthiness' enchantment at all in the Ultimate Universe (I should say none of his hammers - he has two that were made on Earth, and one from Asgard). For another, that particular comic is 'Ultimatum' which is such ripe garbage that anyone who has read it prefers to pretend it never existed at all. And finally, the Ultimate Universe was forever destroyed in the first issue of 'Secret Wars'.
  14. Then we are definitely looking at an interest triangle with the Guyvers, Archanfel (and his loyalists) and Guyot. If Guyot still has the Remover (and I am betting dollars to donuts that he does) he is an absolutely critical player. In the hands of a fully powered Zoalord, a Remover is the only weapon that can destroy a Guyver with certainty. But it is unlikely that Guyot can power the Remover up in his current state. Archanfel probably could, even now - if only once. But he would only need to do it once. Now... I doubt the Remover would work on Valcuria's control medallion; Leaves Sho and Agito; and of course Guyot would prefer to remove Agito from the board, for personal and practical reasons. If Archanfel could get his hands on a functioning, dormant G-unit... he could make all his dreams come true. It might even be a best-case scenario: he leaves Earth, the Ark with a million loyal Zoanoids (even if the full truth were revealed, I bet you could get a million volunteers from all over the world) in tow, leaving the rest behind. Unfortunately we also have Apollyon, in whose best interests it very much is to ensure Archanfel, nor any other Zoalord, gets his hands on a G-unit. (I wonder what the Remover would do to Apollyon? The Remover deletes user data from the control medallion, and Apollyon's armor is made from the same stuff...) Plus whatever is coming from space...
  15. Sho would. He almost perfectly fits the bill. As far as I have come to understand, you have to meet three criteria to be able to heft Mjölnir (providing Thor is not wielding it himself, or forbids you from doing so): - You have to be brave. You have to engage threats and evil courageously. - You have to be honorable. You have to be honest and possess integrity. - You have to be a warrior. And this does mean that, should the need arise, you have to be prepared to kill. Wonder Woman could lift the hammer, when it crossed into the DC universe, and this is entirely logical, because of all superheroes and heroines, she is most like Thor. Honestly, if those ever became a couple... But Superman, who is stronger than she is, and brave and honorable to a fault, nevertheless could not lift the hammer. I don't know whether Batman would be able to, but I suspect he would not.... deception and mind games are a part of his arsenal, and he is very serious about not killing. Incidentally, Captain America is capable of lifting Mjölnir and has done so in the past. The Hulk, adversely, never has... although it is possible that one of personalities might be able to. Another Marvel hero who lifted Mjölnir was the alien, Beta Ray Bill - a warrior from the Korbinite race. He signed up, along with many others, to be subjected to a series of grueling tests, of which he ultimately was the only survivor; all so he could be cybernetically and genetically augmented into the champion and protector of his people, as their entire civilization migrated across space in a massive fleet of space ships. Again: Brave, honorable and a warrior. http://goodcomics.comicbookresources.com/2006/08/15/top-five-non-thor-mjolnir-wielders/ In any case - Sho Fukamachi would be able to lift the hammer. And I don't think anyone else could, in the Guyver universe ('Guyverse'?).
  16. I don't believe in it anymore. It's not broadly popular enough. Not enough romance, battles too long and too slow. Let's face it, the dynamic of the Guyver story is extremely high-concept... "The war between the Guyver and Chronos". We NEVER had a side-story, we BARELY get character development, the characters are pretty flat as it is, core characters appear to be immortal and the whole thing is dragging on. This series is 31 years old and there is no end game in sight. Sho hasn't even met Archanfel in person since the battle at Mount Minakami. I follow Guyver because I want to know how it ends. Not because it engages me.
  17. It's tempting to speculate on the story behind it. ...All things considered, this could still happen, if Valkyria's control medallion starts to malfunction...
  18. Apparently it's called 'Sexy Biobooster'. There are some Asian pages on it (which I can't read).
  19. I have to say, with everything Hollywood should have learned over the last decade-and-a-half of superhero movies (and given that DC started the genre, way back in the Seventies, and redefined it in 1989), this outcome is simply unacceptable and inexcusable.
  20. Watched it... it looks good, but they pretty much butchered the story. I would compare it to "The last Airbender".
  21. Thor was also still dead during 'World War Hulk'. I think the events you refer to occurred pretty much exactly the way you describe right before "Fear itself". The less said about that, the better.
  22. SPOILERS: Thor was actually dead during Civil War. The Thor lookalike in 'Civil War' was an android, coated in cloned tissue derived from one of Thor's hairs (So sort of a 'Thorminator'), which Tony Stark had obtained way back when the Avengers were just starting up and he wanted to ascertain whether Thor was a superhuman, an alien, a mutant or actually something which could not be quantified - like a god. What surprises me most about all of this is that Thor even has DNA. The Thor clone - usually known as 'Clor' - had an artificial brain, so he was not human in any sense of the word; nobody is entirely sure who programmed him, but there is strong evidence it was Henry Pym; the Thor clone was apparently a group project by Tony Stark, Reed Richards and Henry Pym. The problem with that was that, at the time, Henry Pym was actually Criti-Noll, a Skrull infiltrator. Anyway, Clor kept repairing himself after the moment above and, after discovering he really was just a copy of Thor, changed his name to Ragnarok and fought the original, only to be defeated again. Eventually he was inured into the Thunderbolts, and the evil dr.June Covington (aka 'Toxic Doxie') used the advanced technology of an alternate universe they travelled to to restore him completely, without his artificial brain. So then he technically really was a clone of Thor, albeit retaining his 'Clor / Ragnarok' memories; he finalized the deal by seizing the hammer of the alternate universe Thor to see whether he was worthy, or just a carbon copy. Then this happened... Whatever he is now, he seems more heroic than anything, but his current whereabouts are unknown.
  23. I don't see how they could make it like it was in the comic. In the comic: - Spidey was already working for Tony Stark in his civilian identity of Peter Parker, and helped him in his attempt to stop the Superhuman Registration Act politically. - He revealed his civilian identity to the public for the first time ever when the SHRA went into effect to support it. - He changed his views when the actual civil war began, mainly because of the way the pro-registration side treated prisoners and, If I remember Correctly, the death of Goliath and the cloning of Thor (and wouldn't it be something if they cloned Thor in the movie? Doubt it though). - He went underground after the war, but then Aunt May got shot and he sought help from, among others, Tony Stark again. You just can't do all that in a movie where you introduce Spider-Man. *** Hold on. Almost all the Avengers are in this movie. Only Thor and the Hulk are missing. This is almost a third Avengers movie!
  24. Translation is up. Not many answers. Good trans though.
  25. 'Ultimate Teacher'. 'Violence Jack'. Those were pretty much garbage.
