  1. And now a random thought. I know that I talk a lot about women and women are the majority of my fan fic characters and stuff like that. I just had a new thought, and it's one of the reason I admire women a lot. I hope that I don't sound too much like I'm talking crap about my own species, but I do feet, as far as the arts and creative stuff goes, that women often have a leg up on guys. I've felt this way for a while. I was just watching the music video that Jane Child did for her song "Welcome to the Real World" (I posted it and the video for her other big hit "I Don't Wanna Fall In Love" in the music video section), and it spurred me to write about this. She wrote the lyrics and music for all of her songs, and she was known for her fashion sense and being creative with that. Women just have a lot of avenues to be creative and that's always interested me, and that's something that I'm looking for in a woman. To be fun and creative. I guess that's how my feminine side comes out the best, is though creativity and how I write stuff and think in the realms of logic and creativity. Just a random musing that I wanted to get off my chest and say what I feel. I hope that I don't cause offense by it, but it's just a though that I've had for many years.

  3. The weather was totally strange today. Not as bad as say Richmond, VA, where the NASCAR races are this weekend (Sprint Cup qualifying got rained out and there was a tornado reported near the track), but this morning, around 10:00, I went out side, and it couldn't have been more than 55 degrees. But it felt about 20 degrees warmer than that at least, because of the sun being out and how humid it was. And about 10 minutes ago, if felt about 30 degrees cooler, though the temperature didn't change much.
  4. It hasn't helped that the weather hasn't done me many favors. The weather was totally strange today. 5. Well, I'm back Still not feeling 100%, but at least well enough to be online. I think I have some type of stomach bug. But I'll finish looking up some stuff, then later on, probably after dinner and maybe the race tonight, I'll work on some fan fic. I'll be back later
  6. Not too much sounds good to me right now, to be honest. I've felt like crap since I got up this morning, and I haven't really gotten better. The sausage I ate a little while ago helped, but not as much as I hoped. Maybe I'll lay down for a while and get back to what I was doing a little later. That'll still leave time for me to work on fan fic later on. I'll be back later
  7. Actually, no. My father and brothers fixed it in our driveway, believe it or not! My dad has been a life-long mechanic and used to build oval track and motorcycle racing engines. I'd bet that he could've ended up as an engineer at Ford or on a NASCAR team if things worked out right with as much work as he's done on high performance engines and chassis dynamics. We're not sure yet what's exactly wrong with the Pontiac. When my brother tried to take it for a test drive, the oil pressure shot up from 40-55psi at idle to pegging the gauge. We think that a oil bypass valve somehow got stuck open. The car was in an accident, and the guy who sold it to my parents didn't tell them that the radiator was holed. We've had to flush the cooling system quite often, then the thermostat broke and kept jamming shut, keeping water from flowing into the top of the engine, which is why we think it blew a head gasket, and now there's a problem probably with the oil bypass valve sticking open, and causing the oil pressure problems. All of this could be stemming from that accident and my parents not knowing what was wrong. My mom drove it out here with the holed radiator, and my mother and my father didn't know that it was busted because they weren't told by the seller what exactly was damaged. If something will screw up a car, that's one of those things that will. Well, I should be figuring out something to eat, since I didn't eat much last night. Probably microwave some sausage. I wanted to make an English muffin sandwich, but with no toaster (my brother is getting a replacement now, at least), that'll be problematic until he get's back, and I've rarely used the broiler on my oven. I should also probably get some coffee to get me some pep, because I've been a bit slow and groggy this morning. Not bad, but just a bit off. I might watch the NASCAR race tonight when I take a break from being online and doing other stuff, then I'll work on some fan fic. I have a lot going on in my head about that, and I guess I should start typing it out I'll be back later
  8. I don't even ride a bicycle. As I've said, I'm fairly clumsy, sort of like Bella Swan from Twilight. I also haven't been on a motorcycle in years, neither has my father, though he built engine for racing and he owns a racing Yamaha and Honda from the 1980's. He also injured his back pretty badly in a motorcycle accident about 40 years ago. I didn't really get to work on fan fic last night, nor did I have my dinner. I was thinking about making a breakfast sandwich thing, but the toaster died this morning when I was trying to make some toast for my grandma. So my older brother will have to buy a new one later on. We though that the Pontiac was fixed, but now it has extremely high oil pressure. Father thinks it's a bypass valve that got jammed open some how. That's probably what blew the gasket on the oil filter in the first place. So that means we're stuck with the Jeep until the Pontiac gets worked on, and my father will have to take my mother to work in the Ford pick up that he wants to rebuild the engine in. I have a plan on working on some fan fic tonight--I do that stuff better at night--and look up some Audi stuff during the day. And I plan on having my chicken taco salad later on, too. And here's a photo of the "long-tail" Le Mans spec Audi R18 in its racing colors on this page: https://www.facebook.com/AudiSport I'll be back later

  10. Yep, Shizu is the only known female Zoaform because of her processing into Griselda to lead the Libertus--nothing to do with Chronos aside from using a Chronos scientist who rebelled against them and captured Chronos technology. It can be said that her nude scenes are a mild form of fan service, but her being unconscious in a glass tube filled with liquid sort of detracts from that. All the females are attractive, but at least no longer are they a bit of idealized window dressing. Shizu fights and has firm ideals of her own, Natsuki is fierce and has independent ideals, and though she'll never be as aggressive as Natsuki or especially Shizu, Mizuki is much stronger than she was in the beginning and has "grown up" along with Sho in that respect, and they are each other's reason for living and fighting. As it applies to my fan fic, nothing changes for the female characters, Shizu's change into being a shape-shifting vampire hybrid not with standing, but that's a physical change, not a personality change. Shizu is still devoted to Agito, though that's even easier, now that Agito will have calmed down a bit. Mizuki isn't as intimidated by vampires, hybrids, werewolves, mostly because they're friendly and will protect her, and by the cretins who attack her and her friends--basically embarrassing cannon fodder who aren't very intelligent and have no self-preservation skills it seems (my fan fic is a comedy, after all!). And Natsuki is still fierce, independent, but loving and compassionate. These girls, especially Shizu and Natsuki, exhibit traits to me that are sexy beyond their physical beauty. Also, I do wonder what readers' opinions are with regards to femininity of the female characters. To give a non-Guyver example, from my fan fic, there's Lia. She's married to my main male OC, Camel. She knows how to fight, has a special power/ability, is into cars and knows how to use firearms and other weapons, but yet, she gets her hair and nails done (usually by Camel, who is somewhat feminine as a man), and likes getting dressed up, though she is kinda a T-shirt and jeans girl. Even Shizu ends up that way because in Forks, WA, that's kinda the standard and she doesn't feel any serious pressure to look good, though she's a hair/nails/make up chick at heart, too, as to, to a slightly lesser degree, is Natsuki and Mizuki in my story. I've always been perturbed by the tomboy vs girly girly thing, when there's plenty of cross pollination, even in Guyver.
  11. I think it'll probably rain tonight. Weather forecast says it shouldn't, but it getting dark, clouding up, getting breezy and cooling off, all signs that a weather front is near.
  12. I'll be making my taco salad stuff later tonight after I'm done working on some stuff. As I've said, it's pretty simple--chicken breasts, taco shells, cheese, taco sauce and seasoning. Cooking the chicken is time consuming, but the result is worth it.
  13. I don't fear traveling, but I've never ridden on a plane, and I don't like driving. It's hard enough for me to be a passenger with the boneheaded stuff that people pull, but when I'm on the road alone with someone driving, I'm fine. I just don't think that I'm good at it. I'm kinda clumsy and between that and my anxiety issues, that's just not a good combination for me. I've seen enough questionable antics in motorsport, let alone on the public roads. Anyways, I'll be looking up some stuff really quick and I'll then turn my attention towards fan fiction. Then to dinner, whatever that'll be.
  14. I'm about to log off briefly. I have something that I'd like to do before I get back on here and do some more work on fan fic and looking stuff up. I'll be back soon
  15. Hi again. The Pontiac's fine. Got a new filter and fresh oil. So that's OK now
  16. Any Audi? Nope, I can't afford them. And for the Ford's my father worked on, they're scrapped, they rusted out due to old age. But he still has the engines. The T-Bird engine also got 38mpg, and he had a Ford 4.2 liter V8 that got almost 45mph, and made 400bhp. I also don't have a driver's license, and I'll probably never get one. I'm probably not good behind the wheel and how people drive around here scare me enough as a passenger, so that's probably for the best. And I'd probably never sit in a two-seat version of those Audi race cars, because I'm a bit afraid of speed myself, and unlike NASCAR, sports cars do have a read out indicating speed, and I roughly know what kilometers equals in miles per hour. Right now, my brothers are trying to put a new filter on the Pontiac, and also try and see if metal shavings are in the filter. If that's the case, the engine has problems. If not, then it should be fine.
  17. The rebels want to get a hold of a Guyver unit for themselves, which means trying to kill Sho or Agito, or maybe even Val if it'll get them what they want, so she might have to be careful with Richard, as well as the Rogues, because we know how amoral Guyot is when it comes to him trying to get what he wants. He'll get what he wants, or die trying, and he hasn't died yet!
  18. Audi did used to claim that all their LMP1 cars could go 220, but the fastest I've ever seen any go was the R8 and the R10, both of which at LM in 2002 and 2007 respectively hit 210mph. For the R18, a 205mph top speed has been more the norm. I don't know how fast the new R8 GT3 can go (it was named after the old Audi R8 LMP1 LM car), but the R8 V10 road car could go over 195mph, the V8 could do almost 190. The Audi RS 7 is limited usually to 155mph by an electronic governor, but with out it, it could easily reach over 200mph, mostly because it has 560bhp (the top R8 V10s had that same power, and the Audi LMPs have varied between 650+ for the R8, 700+ for the R10 and R15, and around 600 for all the R18 variants, plus short bursts of almost 250bhp from the hybrid systems on the R18s). Of course, this is with the Le Mans track with the chicanes down the Mulsanne Straight. In the late '80s, the almost 3 mile long straight had cars easily going over 240mph, and that was actually as early as 1971! In 1988, a WM Peugeot P88 went 252mph, and the following year a Sauber/Mercedes-Benz hit 249. That's when the chicanes got put in place for 1990. Oh, and we had a '87 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe that could probably do at least 152mph, because it out ran a then brand new '98 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am that was governor limited to 151mph! And a similar engine was put a Ford Ranger truck by my father, and he figured in theory it could do 175mph with the right gearing.
  19. Shizu seems set in her ways towards Sho's friends, too. She was defending them the best she could at the mansion, and Sho's friends showed concern over her well being, and Shizu seemed to show some relief that Sho and Agito tried to iron out some of their differences and that at least Natsuki was OK. I can see and understand her being concerned about Mizuki and Tetsuro. Between that and her being forced to kill the Libertus to kill off Guyot's Urans, she seemed pretty pissed about that the last time we saw her. She always showed a lot more concern for Sho and his friends than Agito usually did. She actually kinda bonded with them, while Agito tried to stay as detached as possible. That's why I think that when Sho and Agito fought, it was more to see/confirm what Sho was made out of and if the Gigantic Exceed was for real than to actually kill Sho. I think that harming those she considers friends is a hard limit for Shizu, and in my fan fic, threatening her loved ones is one good way to get Shizu pissed off and a good way to get one's ass killed by her--and that includes Sho and especially Natsuki, Tetsuro and Mizuki, who in my story are still normal humans
  20. Val's motives aren't clear, and of course we'd all like to know more about them. She's also very independent woman, but she's there kinda for fan service and maybe to show that a woman can be as evil and amoral as a man can be--that things like that are a human disease, not limited to one gender or the other. On the other hand, we have Shizu, who does exemplify most of the things we'd want in a woman and people in general--compassion, bravery, fidelity, all that kind of stuff. She's also an independent woman, but if Agito were to die, I'm not sure what she'd do. Agito is her life right now, and even if she were immortal, her life (to her) would lose a lot of value to her without him. Natsuki is extremely independent and intelligent. She can get along just fine, aside from the supernatural stuff, that is. Strangely, Chronos seems to ignore her, like they don't value her as a pawn they can use against Sho or Aptom, both of whom she is friends of and they (especially Aptom) seem to have feelings for her. Mizuki doe symbolize what love can do to a person, and she gives Sho something to fight for. Without her, Sho might have given up on fighting Chronos, and by extension, he sees the human race as being as valuable in the bigger scheme of things as Mizuki is to him. Also, for the most part, these women, especially Shizu, do tend to symbolize the highest things that humans can achieve before they're 20 years old. Mizuki was an honor studient, and has dealt with more crap than just about anyone in the manga. Natsuki was also an honor student and has tons of street smarts. Shizu might not have had a formal (conventional) education, but she had more knowledge of more stuff before the age of 18 than people 10 years her senior, and she gets to put that knowledge to work for her and her friends quite often. She also shows what good home schooling can do if people want to go down that route. Like Agito, Shizu studied advanced college level stuff as a teenager. Of course, this can be compared to like the Twilight Saga for example. Bella was Edward's reason to live and fight. Alice is the peppy , brainy cheerleader, and Rosalie is the brains behind a lot of stuff. That corresponds roughly to Mizuki, Natsuki and Shizu respectively, though Shizu would've been a lot nicer to Bella initially than Rosalie was. But one of the things that's kinda bothered me is the stereotype that women have to give up their femininity to be leaders or be powerful. Shizu IMO proves that wrong. She's the most overtly feminine character in Guyver, yet she's a leader and probably the most powerful person in Zeus' Thunderbolt aside from Agito. And she doesn't sink to normal "guy" levels, either. She's not mean or cruel, nasty or bitchy, and she inspires confidence rather than fear. Also, I believe that Natsuki is plenty feminine on the other side of the coin. She's more peppy than tomboyish, IMO. Just because she's a T-shirt and jeans girl doesn't mean that she's not feminine. She wears jewelry, seems to like fashion, probably does her nails and wears make up when she feels like it--you know, like Shizu probably does in her spare time. Being feminine is more than just clothes, hair, and make up, and you don't have to give that up to be a leader or powerful. See also the Twilight Saga, where Bella becomes more feminine after she becomes a vampire, but she's still a badass when she wants to be.
  21. It's going to be warming up a bit in my area, though it's still in general going to be unseasonably cool and wet. You know the Proverb "April showers bring May flowers"? Well, it did rain a bit here in April, but May will definitely start off wet and cool based on the Weather Channel's forecasts.

  24. Hi everyone. I've got some stuff I wanna look up this morning and then I'll work on some fan fic today. I didn't really get to last night because I slept in until this morning. But I do have some really good ideas and such for my work. I'm also really addicted to listening to a couple of Jane Child songs, namely "I Don't Wanna Fall In Love" and "Welcome to the Real World". They've given me some inspiration for my fan fic stuff. I'll start looking some stuff up in a few minutes, then once that's done, it'll be time for fan fic stuff. I'll be back later
  25. I've been really addicted to a couple of Jane Child songs, one of which some of you probably know from playing GTA5. They're called "I Don't Wanna Fall In Love" and "Welcome to the Real World".
