Chernaudi

We have plenty of them here, and they don't really cause trouble aside from fighting. One really big, fat black cat likes to call our home his second home. Mostly, he comes in, sleeps with my brother, eats, and picks fights with other cats. Of course, we have this female black and white cat, that's maybe a third of his size, that beats the crap out of him. She's the mother of the small kitten we have, so maybe she sees it as defending her baby. Of course, we have a white and black male cat that's fortunately more interested in people than with female cats. He was a stray that one of my mom's friends found at where they used to work at and my older brother brought him home. It's obvious that he was around people before and he's extremely friendly to people, but he didn't get along with the other cats at first. But he was brought home because he was only a kitten at the time. I think he may be part Japanese Bobtail because of his head and eye shape, his coloring, and how he acts with people. And my mother and father have a huge cat that I got to know while I stayed with them while our house was worked on. He's a huge black cat that's just, well, huge. And it's not just that he's fat (he's been neutered, and he was smaller before), but he's long and just dimensionally very big. I do have to say that I like cats a lot better than dogs and we have outdoor cats, which can be useful with mice and stuff.

Small update that I forgot to post. One of my mom's cats that stays with us is pregnant. Which means that our 4 month old kitten might not be the baby anymore. Today so far has been a whirlwind between helping grandma this morning, doing dishes, helping with the laundry stuff and trying to do some stuff online. I do plan possibly playing some Postal 2 tonight, definitely some fan fic stuff and looking up some Audi stuff, too. I'll also be spending some time outside today before I get some rest and make dinner. But outside of that, I haven't done too much today yet aside from the morning rush. I'll be back later

More on Camel. Taken from the Science and Philosophy thread on my fan fic: "There's Camel, who's a vampire hybrid and his main power is shape shifting. He can emulate any human/vampire/werewolf/Guyver/zoaform he wants, provided that he's got the genetic info from whatever creature he want to assume the form of. He especially likes to use female human forms, such as Shizu, Natsuki, his own wife Lia (as far as his battle power, here electricity and electrical/electromagnetic field manipulation is one of his dominant powers), Melinda, Jess, Bella, Renesmee, and stuff like that. He also can use their powers if they have them, and he often emulates the battle form of Griselda, and her hair blades are almost always part of his offensive weaponry. He also has a bio-luminescence thing on head, on the top of his head and around his eyes. The ones on his head are part of a compound eye-like sensor device that mostly functions sort of like a Guyver's sense organs. They light up different colors in reflection to his mood, the inspiration for these being the LED headlights and back-lit colored highlights that Audi have used on their R18 Le Mans cars the past couple of years. I also asked about the mechanism that they can be used in a thread about it. Camel can also produce vampire venom and can weaponize it as either acid, poison, or extremely powerful liquid and plastic explosives. Hi everyone. I didn't really do what I had planned last night. I was up all day and much of the previous night, so when I went to sleep, I just passed out and only got up in time to help grandma out with her breakfast and stuff. I'll have a pork chop dinner tonight and I'll try really hard to work on fan fic and looking up some stuff. We also got the Pontiac back now, so that's some good news. I'll be back later

Another piece of technology for cars. This time, it's the Variable Geometry Turbocharger, or VTG for short: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Variable-geometry_turbocharger They've been used on diesel engines of all sizes for automotive and truck use for years to combat turbo lag and improve engine response and efficiency. However, the gasoline powered Porsche 911 Turbo has VTG turbos as standard. Audi have also run VTG turbos on their R15 and R18 Le Mans cars, and are thus far the only successful racing cars to use VTG technology.

Various stuff, mostly songs I like. My favorite bands/musicians are Cher, Metallica, Earth,Wind & Fire, Pink Floyd, too many to mention. I'll listen to about anything aside from rap and such. There's also a You Tube artist named LiaNight who mostly does covers, but she and her sister have original material that they want to put on that page soon.

Tonight, I'll be having pork chops with Shake and Bake coating on them. Should be pretty good

BTW, tomorrow, we'll be getting that Pontiac back as our car. It's been fixed, while my father will be borrowing our Jeep until he can get his truck (old Ford Ranger with a Ford T-Bird Turbo Coupe engine in it) fixed. He wants to replace the engine in it with an identical but less troublesome engine.

Hi everyone. Not a great day for Audi in Silverstone. Ran strong and led early, but both cars crashed out in the rain that came during the event. Both cars are also damaged beyond immediate repair, which means a thrash to get them to Spa in a couple of weeks time. Only consolation is that they did get fastest race lap before the accidents. As for me, I'm enjoying today. We'll be getting the Pontiac back tomorrow, which is welcomed. Also, the weather will be good for the next couple of days, which is excellent. So I'm in a pretty good mood, even with the craptastic day Audi had in the race today, which was won by Toyota and was rain-shortened. I have plans to work on fan fic later tonight as well as doing a few other things. I'll be back later

It's supposed to be warm and sunny for a couple of days starting tomorrow, but then it'll rain and cool off again, but not to an insane degree.

All you have to do is look under the hood of a modern car to see what that's like. You can hardly change the oil on a modern vehicle yourself. And then there's racing cars. Just look at Audi's LMP1 cars from the past 15 years. From the old 2000-2006 R8, which was the best car a private team could buy (albeit initially a year older than the factory team's cars--they later got upgraded to factory spec) and get factory support from Audi, to the R10, R15 and R18 diesel and diesel electric hybrid cars that are simply too damned expensive and technologically advanced that no private team can run them, not without a ton of support from Audi. Toyota's TS030 and TS040 LM cars and the Porsche 919 are the same way. Speed and performance cost money, time and energy on the parts of the factory teams and the car makers, and considering that in spite of being 4 inches narrower and being on narrower tires, these cars are already faster than the last generation cars, that's all the proof you'd need of that concept. And then there's the new F1 cars. An engine change last year only took about a half hour. Now, conservatively, that's now increased by 3-4 fold. That's because of all the new stuff on the engines with the hybrid systems and the use of turbocharged V6s with engine driven energy recovery systems. But for modern cars, there's so much stuff on them that a minor mechanical repair is a long fight as far as taking stuff apart. Most of it is electronic stuff and it's protective covers and such. But back to the Pontiac deal, a head gasket is a major deal, but on an older engine, there's still less stuff to fight with as far as serviceability.

Hi again. I'll be starting to make my dinner soon and prepare to watch the F1 race. For the WEC race tomorrow, rain is forecast throughout, which could mean advantage Audi because of their high downforce bodywork and excellent cornering abilities. Other than that, I'm a bit tired right now, and I'll probably be going to sleep after the F1 race goes off. But hopefully I'll enjoy my dinner of chicken taco salad. I'll be back later

And there's been other cars even worse than those you listed from years gone by. From the Ford Pinto with it's tendency to catch fire when rear-ended, to the Chevy Corvair with it's handling problems, to the AMC Gremlin and Pacer, which were ugly and badly made. But even worse were anything made by British Leyland in the 1970s and '80s and several Italian models, such as Fiat Stradas and Lancias. And that's not to mention the horrors that came from the Eastern Bloc... But there's still cars today as mentioned that aren't as good as they should be. And that's not to mention that modern vehicles can't really be repaired by do it yourselfers, because there's so much crap on them now. My father would have to disassemble almost the whole nose of the Pontiac Grand Am he's working on now to get to the engine, and there there's the stuff on the engine that has to be removed to change a head gasket.

This is a general discussion of automotive stuff. Likes/dislikes, motorsport, rare sights, experiences and things that interest us. This is also a place to discuss problems and automotive history. I don't think that this topic will take off, but it's sort of a tie-in the the technology topic that I started in the Science and Philosophy area, just focusing more on cars and automotive stuff. I'll be making some chicken taco salad/nacho stuff tonight for the F1 race. Pretty good and simple to make, though a bit time consuming if you make it with raw chicken breasts.

Not much of a movie watcher, but some of my favorite movies were Tea with Mussolini, Moonstruck, and the Audi Truth in 24 films. All of them were rated PG (at least the televised/theatrically released Truth in 24 movies) for war violence, profanity and crude humor (Tea with Mussolini), profanity and suggestive themes (Moonstruck) and profanity (Truth in 24, some of which is bleeped out--they're motorsport documentary films after all). Let me know what you think, but at least the Truth in 24 films have plenty of "nerdy" stuff in them, if anyone's interested in electronic or mechanical devices.

Good idea. There's been times where I've been awake at night and I swear I saw something, though it was my mind playing tricks on me or some illusion. I'll be trying to get some sleep soon or maybe playing some Postal 2 before hand to get that out of the way, all so I can stay up and watch the F1 race tonight without feeling like crap like I did last night.

Sorry I seemed to miss your last post--I was typing this while you posted. I've personally wanted to do a Twilight fan fic with the Volturi set during World War II. I might decide to work on it someday, but that'll be a while away for right now. Anyways, I'll describe some of the OC's now. Lia: Young woman, vampire hybrid, emo/goth style lover. About 5'7", long black hair with blonde, red or violet colored highlights, almond shaped brown eyes, high cheek bones, shapely feminine figure. Kinda looks like a young, goth/emo/punk version of Cher with side-swept bangs. Power/ability: manipulation/generation of electrical or electromagnetic fields. Can use this to levitate and release energy blast and form a shield. Melinda: Young woman, vampire hybrid. Tomboy-ish. 5'6", brown eyes, various hair colors, but usually brown and always long. Looks like a cross between Bella Swan, Melinda Sordino and Kristen Stewart. Power/ability: altering people's perceptions and creating visions in people's heads. Jess: Young woman, vampire hybrid. More feminine, 5'7", brown eyes, long brown hair (dyed blonde). Looks a lot like Jenn Proske from Vampires Suck. Power/ability: use of magic. Jennifer: Young woman, vampire hybrid. Feminine, pale, 5'7" brown eyes, long black hair, partly Hispanic. Power/ability: basic vampire abilities. Camel: Male, vampire hybrid, appears to be in his 20's. 7'1" in human form. Brown eyes, long hair (dyed black to match Lia's). Has slightly feminine body form, but still well built given that. Power/ability: Shape shifting and can weaponize himself. Has various vampire/vampire hybrid/Guyver/zoanoid abilities and weapons. And my changes to Shizu: Shizu: Bio-engineered/re-processed to be a vampire hybrid, married to Agito, human form as for manga (5'5", long black hair, well-defined feminine form, greyish-violet eyes). As Griselda: form basically the same aside from increase in height to 7'0" from 6'11.5". Much more powerful and resilient in combat, and like all hybrids, insanely powerful in human form. Power/ability: Powerful psychic and mind reader, can control zoanoids with ease. High melee capability as Griselda.

Other than posting it on a website dedicated to fan fic, I don't really have any plans for publishing this work. I don't really have any aspirations to do much with it beyond that. I'm doing this for fun and I know nowadays that this type of stuff unless you collaborate with the original authors is frowned upon by the copyright people and their lawyers. I'm just writing this for fun anyways, so if some Twilight and Guyver fans like it after reading it at this fan fic site, I'll be happy.

Hi everyone. Got insanely tired around midnight last night, so after F1 qualifying, I went to sleep. So that means I didn't work on fan fic last night. I'll try and work on it tonight if I get the chance, but there's the actual F1 race on tonight and I'll be busy with a few things today. So it might not be until Sunday night that I'll work on it. Other than that, things have been fine. I'll be up and about probably until one of my brothers gets up. And, no, I haven't heard much about work yet. Still trying to get training set up. Not really for me once I get started and when I feel awake. Right now, I'll be struggling to stay up to watch the F1 thing. Maybe I should've slept in longer, because I'm probably going to sleep once that's over. Sunday night might be the best time for me to start up again, though at least the chapter that I've been stuck on is almost over, and the next one should be easier to write.

No, not really a serious gamer, and what games I do play often may as well be described as obsolete. I still play a PS2 and though there's still updates for it, Postal 2 is over a decade old. I don't currently own a more modern console, partly because I can't afford one right now. Right now, my little brother is playing DayZ, which is a zombie apocalypse game. I sometimes watch/listen to him play it, usually because he plays it in bed while I'm trying to sleep. He plays it online, though I'm not much of an online gamer myself. I'm hoping to some day be able to afford a PS4 or something along those lines.
