What's for dinner? Literally, sort of...food discussion.
I know that I've talked about my taco salad nacho thing a lot. I like it because it's easy to make and pretty cheap and easy to eat as well. Basically, to make it, what you'll need is 3-4 boneless skinless chicken breasts, a hard taco kit, taco cheese, and any thing that you'd want for a taco filling. Make the chicken according to directions, cut into pieces (I cook my chicken before I cut it because it's easier), and brown to taste, then add the taco seasoning and sauce according to directions. Microwave or heat taco shells in over until warm and crunchy. Crumble shells into smaller, tortilla chip sized pieces, and top with chicken and sauce and cheese. Pretty simple, though cooking the chicken is the longest thing that you'll have to do. You can also substitute chicken with ground beef or steak strips.

Feminenty vs masculinity: who knows, who cares?
This is mostly about personality, actually, as well as people's perceptions. Both things will differ from person to person. One of my favorite things to discuss is tomboy vs girly-girl. We have that in Guyver with Shizu, Mizuki and Natsuki showing various traits of femininity, tomboy-ism and girly-girl-ism. Shizu is overtly feminine but fights and is a leader of combatants, Natsuki is a sci-fi addict, and Mizuki is sort of like the damsel. Which is tomboyish or girly-girlish is up to an individual opinion, but I consider all of them to be feminine. Also in my fan fic, we have Lia and Camel. Lia is overtly feminine, but, like Shizu, she's also a fighter and has leadership skills with both men and women. And Camel's a decorated retired Army Officer, a car nut, a weapons expert, but yet he likes doing feminine things with Lia, has long hair, a slightly feminine body-shape, and his battle forms amps the latter up, though it's mostly due to advantages in combat (lower center of gravity and increased agility), and he likes emulating female forms to confront enemies in an "ambush" situation (belief that women are weaker than men, suckering dumbass men into traps, etc). Of course, I think that a lot of standards with gender, race, religion, and stuff like that are kinda arbitrary, overly-broad, and pretty much irrelevant. We're all human, after all, and we're 99% the same, regardless of the 1% that makes us different. Do we let that separate us, or do we embrace our uniqueness and and not let arbitrary standards divide us? I vote for the latter, and the world is a better place for it, and would be a better place if more people appreciated that.

Chernaudi's blog and random stuff...
My area was briefly under a tornado warning. Of course, by the time it was issued, it was away from where live. It hailed and rained pretty hard. The really bizarre thing is that it took forever for the NWS to issue any kind of warning, that in spite of the fact that I knew it wasn't a normal thunderstorm. You don't get that much lightning with a regular thunderstorm. It was a bow echo, and sometimes a tornado vortex signature shows up on radar.

Weather: how is it in your area, etc, etc...
My area was just under a tornado warning. It was issued for northern Richland County until 9:45. It was odd, because I knew that the storm was coming and how intense the lighting was, but it took forever it seemed for even a severe thunderstorm warning to get issued anywhere near the storm. It was a huge bow echo, and sometimes the leading edge could have tornado vortex signatures in them.

Well, it's about to storm here now. Though it all should be gone by morning. I'll be watching some videos and getting ready to make some dinner. It'll be chicken taco nachos tonight. After that, I'll be working on some fan fic stuff. Right now, there's a pretty good lightning show out at my house. Of course, one of our cats ran outside. Instant it saw the lightning, it ran for cover. We also got the Pontiac back today, and the oil issue on it's been fixed. I'll be back later

After I'm done watching these videos, I'll probably shave, take a shower, do something on the PS2, hop back on here, finish off Postal 2 (I'm on Sunday in A Week in Paradise mode), look up some Audi videos, and take another break for dinner (I'm thinking my chicken taco nachos again--pretty good stuff IMO), then I'll be taking a nap until I get back up to work on some fan fic.

I'm sorry Riv. Sounds like he was really close to you. I lost my grandma on my father's side a year in a half ago, and though I wasn't especially close to her, she was still my grandma and I was a total wreck and I had to take almost a week off of work. So I can't imagine what you're going though now. My condolences

I just got up less than an hour ago. Actually, I got up shortly after 9:00 to make grandma her breakfast, but I was so out of it that when I got done I went back to sleep. I went to sleep at 5:00 this morning after being up for quite a few hours with only a brief nap. So I'm still a bit out of it now, but I'm listening to some LiaNight covers on YouTube so that should hopefully wake me up. At least I don't have a pounding sinus headache like I usually do when it rains like it did the past couple of days.

Hi everyone. I just got up. I went to sleep last night at 5:00am and got up just past noon. I have more of the usual stuff planned for today: looking up stuff, watching stuff, working on fan fic, etc. Right now, our creek is about 3/4 full of water. That's how much it's rained here, though the sun wants to come out now. I'll keep everyone posted on what's going on with me today. I'll be back later

My grandma's been better than she's been in quite a while since we had to send her to the hospital because of high blood sugar. We though that she had a stroke at first, but it was mostly high blood sugar making her groggy. She's on new medication, and she is also suffering from dementia, but she's on medication for that. As for me, my biggest concern is that some of my friends were in the firing line for the severe storms, though they've all pulled though OK. This severe storm stuff kinda scares me, especially when my family and friends are in the line for it. I even talked about a dream I had that I just had randomly one night where a storm demolished my house and I was alone in the abyss. Very surreal and dark, and it just happened randomly. Thank god for it not being real and me being on Celixia now. I also kinda fear fire, because we had a house fire that caused part of my house to be remodeled (work that was long awaited anyways). Fire did very little actual damage, but it was enough to displace us until all that stuff got fixed. But since I got home and some stuff got worked on, things in general have been better for me. Only thing I'm frustrated over is not being able to get back to work. I have a job waiting for me, but I haven't been called in for it and I haven't been given a definite date for it to start.

my manga practice.
Well, I do like Shizu/Griselda. I do think that her human form is much prettier, though, and that does say something, since Griselda is an esthetically pleasing Zoaform.

Weather: how is it in your area, etc, etc...
Particularly dangerous situation tornado watch for parts of MS and AL right now, and a large, destructive tornado sturck parts of Tupelo, MS a while ago. Stay safe if you're in the watch area and warning areas.

Feminenty vs masculinity: who knows, who cares?
My issue is trying to shoehorn people into broad categories and trying to have one all-encompassing definition of what is what. I don't think that most people will fit such definitions. It's kinda like saying that a cat's a cat. Perhaps that's true, but there are several breeds of cat, and even the "common" house cat will be different as far as fur color and length, and body structure. People are varying degrees of whatever, and femininity and masculinity are two of the things that will vary from people to people as far as expression, how they feel, and how their personality is. And personality is mostly what I'm trying to look at. People's personalities are different, and what I've mentioned above is no exception. Of course, I do have a beef with how society sets arbitrary standards and how narrow minded they can be.

Fear: what scares us and our responses?
Not really, I don't think. It just happened randomly, then kept occurring. At least I haven't had that happen lately.

All that I know is that it's raining here right now, and there's bad storms forecasted for AL and MS today. My day itself has been OK, I guess. I got a phone call earlier from my brother that he got a flat tire on the Jeep because he ran over, of all things, a pair of scissors in Walmart's parking lot. I posted a thread about femininity vs masculinity in Science and Philosophy, and mentioned a few things about myself and my views on the subject. Other than that, I haven't done too much yet today aside from help my brother with grandma's breakfast and stuff.

Fear: what scares us and our responses?
Actually, not for me. It was kinda odd and scary, because I felt totally alone and when I had this dream, I'd become kinda paranoid about something happening to my home. And it was just odd that I even had that dream. Unless really bad weather is forecast, I'm usually not afraid of weather.

Feminenty vs masculinity: who knows, who cares?
I've always wondered about femininity and masculinity, and the standards that have been set, and why I don't think that they work. Take me, for example. I'm into cars, history, weapons, weather, traditional guy stuff. Yet I like to write, be creative, and if I had a girlfriend, I'd go shopping with her and do her hair and nails. That's the feminine stuff I'm into, and I also like to cook. I really think that the broad standards of femininity and masculinity are kinda crap and don't make a lot of sense. What works for one person probably won't work for another of the same gender or anything like that. Everyone's different. Personally, I like women who are kinda feminine, but have a tomboyish edge to them. I see that as plenty feminine. I see myself as plenty masculine, though I'm into some girly stuff and that's one of the reasons I'd like to have a girlfriend. I don't think that we can just put people into groups and define them by any trait, really, for anything as it relates to personality traits. That includes gender and having a feminine or masculine personality. It's just a waste of time and that's why I'm basically like "who cares?!" So, feel free to discuss your views on this subject

Fear: what scares us and our responses?
In light of the severe weather that's going on right now, I used to have a recurring dream about waking up with no roof or upper bunk over my bed, and just staring into a dark, cold, stormy sky. At least I haven't had that dream in a while. Just extremely bizarre and surreal.

Fort Smith should be a lot better off than yesterday. Thunderstorms are still forecast, but they're of the normal type like what I'll be having today. The really bad severe thread is now in AL and MS. Still too bad about your hometown, though. The rain won't help with recovery efforts. At least you, your family and friends are safe. But it is that time of year, sadly.

I heard about this on the Weather Channel last night. You have family and friends there, and are they safe as far as you know? Is the area you're at under threat today? The threat zone moved a bit east today, but the same stuff is forecasted. I hope that you and your loved ones are OK
