Guyver January 2013
I liked that bit. I read a little of that part because i noticed he called him 'ama-chan'. I translated it as 'softy'. I was toying with whether to post it because it was so funny, but i didn't get chance to check it.

guyver Novel and CD for sale
sure, yeah I would consider western union. There is a store in town that has a western union computerised thing. I think it is as simple as setting up a password. last price on it? well the bare minimum is my starting price. but I would be very unhappy with that amount for it. I think I would be very happy with 60, so I think I would be satisfied with 40. I might be ok with a bit less, but it really depends on circumstances. if a complete stranger offered me less than 40 I would say no straight away.

guyver Novel and CD for sale
for paying in cash, the buyer would be able to send it by recorded delivery. this is as safe as any other method as if a dispute ever came up, there would be proof of the mail arriving at its destination. the £60 may be steep for some people. that is the buy it now price. I set it at that because the book is so rare and real collectors would pay that price. I know if I had a job, I would be prepared to pay that much. but anyhow, that is the buy it now price, the auction starts at 25. btw, if any of the regular members on this forum want to buy it, I would be willing to end the auction early and negotiate on a price.

Gosei Sentai Dairanger review - an oldy but a goody!
that really depends on the criteria. can there ever be a 'pinnacle', story wise? as long as they continue focusing on story seriously then we can look forward to good series. the effects... well I have been very impressed with dairanger in some places. for example, the bits where we follow ryuseioh flying are incredible. that thing is so well made and is a delight to watch. in comparison, all recent super sentai have been pretty poor. making those marionettes is a true art and you can see the love that goes into them. the CGI effects are not quite so lovingly crafted. I don't know about dairanger being the best sentai in history, I heard tell that jetman is the best. I don't know though because i've never seen it. well I did watch the first episode a bit and there was some rather good comedy moments in it.

'remaster' the 12part OVA?
yep, I agree. i guess it would be relatively simple to fix that shot considering that guyver is not actually moving in it. I'm not really good at drawing guyver from scratch though so I'd need to hunt down a manga frame with that kind of pose in it.

Guyver January 2013
most members don't understand Japanese. The current available version is quite small and difficult to read, also, Guyver Four said he is going to get a better version so it's good to wait for that. also, Durendal is away on work at the moment. thanks I'll look forward to what you come up with

it's got a lot of pages so its a pretty big job to capture each page. I've uploaded all images I took of it. perhaps it'll be something that I can re-obtain in the future when I'm working. but right now I need to eat.

Odin's Art Gallery
I like the detail on the guy in the background. the ones in the front make me think of kamen rider double. the fire is really nice. I didn't notice it. just looked at the logo and realised it was flames, so i looked at your flames everywhere, very nice, looks proper.

thanks salkafar so I prepared some more colour schemes, here is the colour scheme/s proposed by mr mctaco:- and what it would look like if aptom didn't change his colour.

Gosei Sentai Dairanger review - an oldy but a goody!
so far I have seen 4 or 5 episodes of dairanger. I have to say this is outstanding! I mean, having gotten used to the formulaic structure of much super sentai, this is quite surprising. a whole episode with NO MECHA? wow, this is certainly what has made it stand out for me. I have been watching super sentai for a while and i got the impression that the writers had a sort of rule book and rule number #1 is "there must be mecha fight in every single episode" . in fact, for a long while, I was convinced that each episode had to have a mecha fight at around 3/4 of teh way through and then a short 5 minute roundup after the mecha fight. I figured that gobusters was 'progressing' by not having the mecha fight at the end all the time and also breaking it up a bit. but now I find out that there is an earlier series with far more integrity than even gobusters. I don't even care that it is old because it seems that I'm actually watching a series where story trumps the special effects. sure, watching tokusatsu is bad when it is old and the main focus is the special effects. because when the main focus of the show is a por quality compared to what i am used to, then what can they possibly do. nothing. it is just bad. but when the main focus os the story, then it doesn't matter about the quality of the effects.

Kamen Rider Wizard - september 2012
thanks for the update. I would like to watch a current kamen rider series, but I certainly don't want to watch trash. I was thinking of checking up on it to see if it had improved but sadly it seems it hasn't? that is a real shame. I don't even mind if there is minimal story and just a monster of teh week, as long as that weekly stand-alone story is interesting in and of itself. shows like kamen rider ryuki had periods where the main story didn't really move along. but even those individual episodes had interesting plot twists and turns that made it interesting and worth watching. even shows like gaoranger had interesting individual episodes.

Don't want to be a douche, but I do object to my work being edited in such a fashion. I've tried to be ok with it, but however I look at it, I just don't like it. I spent a lot of time on those vectors and to edit them so frivolously actually hurts. I'd like to say feel free to do whatever you like with it... but on this occasion, I just can't. could you remove it please and use the original image by takaya? I'd certainly appreciate it.

I was thinking about a light red just now... let's see what everyone else thinks. I can make a further revision based on that.

Guyver January 2013
well let's see what the verdict is. this is how i initially thought of it before i found out who it was.... this is how i think it might be coloured. I think you can guess why i chose this colour scheme. in case you don't get it, the crystals are coloured as aptom omegablast chest crystals, the 'skin' is coloured as aptoms imitation guyver form.

Guyver January 2013
good, nice qulity. so a japanese good quality version should not be too long then so, I'm looking at the way it is shaded, it appears that when it detaches from shou, the shading changes so I think that is suggesting it is a different colour from aptom's omega blast form. but what sort of different colour... I would like to think it wouldn't be blue as a change of colour from blue-ish, to another blue-ish colour wouldn't be that noticeable to show a different shading effect. maybe i'm just reading into it too much.

'remaster' the 12part OVA?
heh heh, I would love to do that... but it is crazy work to do by myself. it took a few nights to do a 3 second clip animating is difficult, but to be honest, a lot of the work that takes more time is the colouring work and stuf that somebody else could potentially do. no animation skill is necessary for that. so if anyone was thinking about offering to help but think they cannot animate, please say so and we could work on something. the animation itself is merely lines.

agreed, it is so awesome to see shou being so bold. he has gone from a fleeing rabbit to a respectable warrior.

'remaster' the 12part OVA?
thanks salkafar, bbdude I did just remember one issue. I recall the framerate of the original clip was not constant. I animated in twos ( that is repeating each frame twice) whereas the original clip is not completely consistent and sometimes has 3 frames and sometimes has 2. also, the rames are slightly blended at times. probably deterioration due to transferring to diffrent sources and alteration of framerate along the way.

'remaster' the 12part OVA?
thanks lost unit unfortunately, I'm not getting a suitable work/reward ratio from this work. there's nothing anyone can do about it, it's the nature of animation work. I need to focus on doing work that has a better ratio. I don't want to do any more re-animations of this. at least not on my own. if there are any other animators out there who want to work together on something liket his, then I'm all ears

where do you suppose that barrier came from? to me, it seems more likely that it is aptoms ability. probably something to do with that zoanoid that kept valkyria confined with a massive barrier. we didn't see him actually absorb that guy, but shin does make reference to it in this chapter.

Anime you are currently watching and/or Downloading
you make a good point. my mate always tries to please others at the expense of his own happiness. whenever I play, I do stick to myself most of the time but when I do get together with somebody, Itry to be very helpful and generous.

'remaster' the 12part OVA?
it's properly coloured and finished and I edited into a sequence to get a sense of pacing. I'm not at all happy with how it works. it doesn't seem to fit in. ep08-redo01.avi
