Choice for phones
yeah it's an iphone. it's just really really bad. currently, I seem to be able to connect ok, but I don't know what it'll be like later. the customer service keep telling me they have had no other complaints and that the masts seem to be working properly. they've reset my network account and network settings and all of that. I can't imagine what could be the issue if it isn't simply my phone going majorly wrong. actually i am experiencing applications freezing and force-quitting. there has to be something wrong with it.

Gigantic & Dark vs. Goku & Vegeta
how much of dragonball have you actually read or watched? because quite clearly, majin boo succeeds in wiping out the entire population of the earth. please don't speak so harshly of dragonball if you haven't properly watched it or appreciate what it was trying to do. yeah dragonball has a different style of story telling to guyver. the fact that the saiyan race is able to self evolve in a similar way to superman's doomsday is an interesting thing to deal with. it's similar to bruce lee in many ways. it's all about the fight, the fighting spirit. they start out just wanting to prove them self but then end up protecting the ones they love. and of course it generally boils down to training. always trying to find the most extreme form of training in order to get stronger. I think it is a good message to give to people, keep trying and practising and you will eventually get better. shou doesn't have that ability. he can't strengthen himself through training. his training must be through the mind. thinking through scenarios. in a sense, shou has it easy. the dragonball characters really work for their power increase, whereas shou just wished for it. also he kinds got lucky in a lot of ways. but of course they do give different messages. guyver says "if you believe in yourself and those around you and care for your family and friends, you will find a way" but dragonball says "if you care for your family and friends, you can work hard and should be able to improve your situation". in terms of story telling style the winner of such fights can be debated in many ways. but when it comes to the raw power that is shown, guyver has higher starting power, but the super saiyan have much higher potential. a guyver zoalord... is not something we have seen or have any idea of scale of power. so we really can't even begin to compare.

Sword Art Online
I just watched the first episode last night. I liked the way it is made. like the way the noob chased after the more experienced player and asked for his help. then at the end of their session, I got that same feeling of having made an in-game comrade. no knowing if you would come across that player again or if you would stay in contact, but adding them to your friends list anyway. it's really interesting because the anime deals with something that mmo players or ex- mmo players can intimately relate to.

Choice for phones
I was gonna suggest the samsung. to be honest, I don't think it would break in your pocket. they design them to go in pockets so I think it should be ok. I'm having problems with my phone too. actually I've been having problems for almost 2 months. I've been passed back and forth with customer service and i'm just about getting sick of it. I keep losing network connectivity. signal is full. but when i try and do the simplest things like a google search, it just fails completely. I'm gonna tell them to switch my phone. I'm just fed up of all the hassle.

Gigantic & Dark vs. Goku & Vegeta
it really depends at what stage of the story you want to set it. I mean, goku vs freiza the first time.... his power level looks to be on a par with archanfel. but obviously after that, nobody in the guyver universe would stand a chance against him. goku and vegeta at their power level when they first fought, I think guyver gigantic and gigantic dark would beat them. technically, gigantic guyver is supposed to have the potential to beat archanfel so it really ought to be able to defeat a basic Super Saiyan, but those guys are crazyfast. guyver has power, but speed is another thing. well we don't know because we can't see speed in the manga, but the way it is drawn never gives me the impression it is happening faster than the human eye could see. dragonball was occurring at speeds faster than the eye could see from the very first tenkaichi tournament. so even if guyver could match the power, it might find it very difficult to track goku or vegeta.

Guyver December 2012
Thanks cannibal this is the source of what I had heard. durendal, yes I also think this is rather fishy. I find myself wondering if those numbers are not accurate and maybe written sloppily? although the zeros do look pretty neat... but in the second image yohei's tombstone does appear to have an extra 1 after the year. well however we look at it, x-day must have been pretty late in the 90's, perhaps 1999. so laptop computers and mobile phones are not that unusual.

care to elaborate? I addressed specific points that you made. I know you're not obligated to reply about this, but you did tell me that i should be finding this movie dumb. I think you owe it to me to either prove my replies wrong or accept that i shouldn't have to find the movie dumb? otherwise it's a little rude...

Need some help
personally, I think it all depends on how you want to approach it. if you want to do commissions because you enjoy it and want to do lots more art, then you can ask for very little for your work. on the other hand, if you don't particularly enjoy or think you will enjoy it, then you might work out how much you want to be getting paid by the hour. then you could either estimate your price and ask for money up front or you could time yourself and ask for payment afterwards. also, check what other artists are doing. if you want to get a lot of commissions then you need to position yourself competitively by comparing your work to other artists and matching their lower rate. also bearing in mind they are already established and you are not. if you don't want to do a lot and only want to do work for those who really like your work, then you can increase your price to reflect that. obviously if they like your work specifically, then you have a USP that you can take advantage of. I don't mean take advantage of the customer though of course. merely price yourself where you feel comfortable without being overly concerned about competition.

Anime you are currently watching and/or Downloading
I don't know, back when i used to play WoW, I got quite into it. I actually went on a few raids too. I kinda understand where you are coming from when you talk about dual wielding. When I used to play WoW, it was a real game. not any of this stuff they have nowadays where they hold your hand and give you all your major moves at level 2. I had to work hard to get my riding skill. I had to pass 40 levels before i could even qualify. and to go up one level would take almost a week playing.

Anime you are currently watching and/or Downloading
that does sound awesome. I spoke to my friend about it over the weekend. he is a big wow player and I used to play it a lot. so we should be able to relate to it easily. I have a few things to watch at the moment so I was uncertain whether i could have this one going as well. how many different series do yo think it's ok to spread your attention?

Project El Guaraguao
you don't need any defence, it's a world issue, caused by the English when they annexed us and tried to destroy our culture centuries ago. yeah, people not responding or even giving their attention is a real problem recently. I've been seriously considering for a while whether it is worth me continuing to pay all the server costs for this place. you might have noticed lately I'm not very enthusiastic about guyver or guyver advocacy. it's because i feel like the fans don't care and are taking everything for granted.

Project El Guaraguao
not at all. in fact it's quite easy for us to find out stuff. it's the rest of the world that is the problem. so many people just aren't even aware that Wales is a country in it's own right and has it's own culture and language and distinct ethnic background. what's stopping me... well basically time and motivation. I have other plans right now. but welsh culture promotion does factor into future plans. just depends if I can get the opportunities I want. Puerto Rico, is fortunate in some sense.. in the sense that i think most people are aware that it exists

i voted again today. it would be pretty cool to have guyver win it.

are your guyver dreams better than 'real' guyver?
I just remembered a guyver dream i had a long time ago. not sure why i even remembered it now but i remember the feeling of the dream. it's pretty vague, but it's awesome. and I wish real guyver was so awesome. of course nothing in life is as awesome and guyver is of course the only thing that comes close to being so awesome, but there you go. I'm not sure how to even describe but i think one of the dreams was something to do with the new guyver chapter containing a gigantic type upgrade and it was closely related to a guyver zoalord, but it was like super concentrated guyver armour, like the feeling i get when looking at how col the armour is, but that feeling multiplied by 5. it could be like the armour itself is ten times as thick, but it's actually not. also, the delicate curves are 10 times as delicately curved, but obviously that is outside the laws of physics. also a different dream included me being guyver and standing in a really shallow pond surrounded by cronos. it was the best episode ever. i think it was an OVA, in-between out of control and the 12 part OVa. a separate one. and it had a green theme. cronos was in a factory and it had a hint of resident evil about it. so how about you guys, are your dreams so amazingly better than guyver? almost like guyver, but concentrated? don't get me wrong, I have had few dreams about guyver. it's just that they are among the few dreams that stick with me. I think i had maybe 3 in my entire life.

you've done a good job then I'm a little envious, I'd like to do a similar thing with welsh culture as it has been somewhat brushed under the rug on a global scale. I hope you get some good interest with it.

I've seen it on here before deviant art this time. looking really nice dude!! I love how you've developed this. the references are subtle and not too obvious now and it looks like an orginal creation. your previous design now looks very plain in comparison. your new design has some lovely detailing on it and also looks very regal. looking at things like the lapels, it makes me think of the word 'conquistador' because of how i associate it with European gentry of the past. also, looking at the armoured bits makes me think of historical accounts i have heard about where Spanish or Portuguese sailors met with the Mayans for the first time and the events that ensued.

I must say, I had a bit of trouble thinking about how this could be a set up for alien since the engineer had gotten out of the space jockey and so how could he have had a chest burster from that position. but then i recently saw on some promo material that this is not the same moon/planet that was in alien. so it seems there is some parts missing. I think it's important that these parts are missing because when a director tries too hard to weave things together into a fine mesh, there inevitably develops plot holes. I think the director did a good job at avoiding plot holes as it could have been a lot worse. I think plot holes are more legitimate criticism than general vagueness. The original alien did such a good job suggesting strongly that these were genetically engineered bio-weapons, without saying it outright, I love the way Ash talks about the face hugger it when he examines it. "tough little son of a bitch" I think this is a great lead in to that and is not too dissimilar to the story for Guyver. I really liked the way Ridley Scott used the premise that has been established for the aliens adapting to the host they find themself in. like in Alien 3, the alien sort of became a 'dog alien'. I felt like the cylinders the black liquid is contained in echo jurassic park nicely, and the black liquid is quite a formidable biological weapon. it analyses the host and undergoes an accelerated evolution in order to become the most efficient hunter. since the engineers seeded earth life from their own DNA, it seems to me the bioweapon was ultimately meant to be used against other engineers. I love this about some films. I think some of the best films are the ones that leave a good framework and have me really thinking about them afterwards. Alien was great at that. I always find myself thinking about how Alien is. so many films that are made, after they are watched, they are then forgotten. because there is nothing in them really. they are like a still pond that is 1ft deep all across.

Super Existence, while I respect your experience in the film making field, and you obviously know a lot more than me about script writing and all the rest, I find it very difficult to understand where you're coming from when you review these films. when you describe them you make them sound like they are the worst thing ever, yet prometheus was the tenth highest grossing film of 2012 according to wikipedia. I find it very difficult to respond to your points because i feel like you are coming at it from a very different angle from the majority of the general public, who the film is aimed at? I hope that is a fair comment?

heh heh i can understand that. it is creepy. ok I'll hand it you you there, you are making good points. I am still thinking about that carefully. to be honest, I don't like to assume that a director has done a bad job or been negligent when working very hard on the project. he has made the movie for people to enjoy so I give them the benefit of the doubt. I'd like to think carefully about that guys behaviour. it's not too far removed from how Kane approached the egg in alien. I think this was meant to echo that scene a lot. I'll think about his behaviour more on future viewings. I'm sure something in his body language or mannerisms will make it clear.

The Avengers
hey bobby, nice to see you yeah that absorbing man was pretty stupid towards the end. like he was made of clouds and all that. it was pretty messed up. that's where the film died for me. any time i watch it now, I switch it off before that part. durendal, I recall hearing that name before. but it's not the guy i was thinking of thought the guy i was thinking of is galactus. but i think i've seen pictures of galactus with that guy.

maybe one day i'll get into gundam? I have been watching natsume yuujinchou. really love it. I've completed the first two seasons and i'm on the third. I am sad that i will eventually catch up because it is so lovely. it reminds me of ushio to tora. I think i can really relate to this type of look into japanese mythology with the spirits and all that.

The Avengers
I love you guys' comments. I certainly appreciate that you may not like Ang Lees hulk. while i thought it was a quality movie, obviously if you're a fan of a comic book that has been going for many years then you're going to be watching for a lot of critical stuff. I really like the idea that they motion captured the actor who plays bruce banner. i loved how he moved when he said "puny god", that was really funny and a great line! I think the hulk uses that language a lot, I've seen some cartoons when i was younger so I have a bit of an idea what it's about. and the actor who plays him is pretty likeable. I'm really glad they replaced edward norton. yeah the movie did a great job at introducing me to the characters. I understood what they were about pretty well I think. I think i recognised that guy at the end. with the pink face. I might have seen him somewhere before. while he reminds me of darkseid from superman, I remember getting confused because there were similar looking guys in marvel and DC. I'm thinking about this and want to ask, is he somehow related to the silver surfer or those guys in x-men? (the phoenix?) anyhow, I also wanted to add, I think captain america looks all wrong. he has no wings on his hat. now I am not a fan of captain america or even watched it extensively, but i have seen a lot of pictures and i am pretty sure his head is not supposed to be so smooth? what do you think? about the comic book panels, I think that was pretty neat! but yeah it is definitely cheesy and i think it could be seen almost like the director was mocking the source material. also, I do agree about the dogs. they did look quite weird. I guess i just remember the scene where the janitor puts his hand on the hulks face. the way that face is animated is amazing.

sometimes i feel like characters in movies are stupid, but i think one of the bigger questions is who is more stupid, the characters or the people who don't understand that many people are stupid. I know the people on this forum well so I am certain nobody here is stupid, but sometimes people pick at things in films merely because they don't understand. it says more about them than it does about the film. I mean the people picked at that guy for being scared of a corpse, but not scared of the snake thing. yes i did consider for a second why he might approach the snake thing but try and run from the corpse. the corpse was a representation of death which instils a fight or flight instinct. since the corpse cannot run, then the man can feel safe in getting away from it. but the snake thing was alive and so he could not be sure that he could get away from it for good. his instinct would tell him that the best thing he can do is try to placate it somehow. it irks me somewhat when people try and tear something apart to try and make themselves look clever. instead that fake trailer comes off as childish. many of the things that people can try and criticise, can be explained or theorised about. they're not really valid criticism. like, why they have a problem that they found an exact formation of an identical star system. that the formation was exactly the same across the cultures, and that exact formation was present in the stars in precise measurements. and included a planet in the goldilocks zone. I don't see why something such as that needs to be mocked. because to me, that represents the nature of space exploration at its very core. of course the fact that they showed clips from aliens at the very beginning demonstrates they have no respect for the foundation of the franchise. they seem to represent themselves as the type of person who holds aliens above alien as a better film. not that aliens is a bad film. it is very good. but prometheus is a film created by the series originator and it's not really fair to compare his work with the work of james cameron who took ridley scotts universe and made a mighty fine action movie with it. ah sorry guys. I seem to be fairly passionate about this.

guyver lamps you wold just love
wow... those are amazing!! I sincerely wish I had the kind of money to be able to buy those. even though I don't know how much they are, I am confident they are beyond my means.
