  1. high school is compulsory? I didn't realise. so in a sense, your middle and high school is like the same as our high school and college. except yours is all compulsory.
  2. I can imagine how you might be confused. in the uk, we have a thing called college. it is not the same as the thing you call college. the thing you call college, we call university. The thing we call college, you call high school. that is generally speaking, but also, my art school was called a college, yet it was a university. anyhow, a college in the uk is generally a place where people do 'further education'. people can also do further education in a 6th form after completing their normal studies. this takes place in the same school they went to for their compulsory education. if you have seen the uk show 'the inbetweeners' this is the situation they are in. There was no 6th form in my school, I took my further education studies in Yale college (incidentally the man named yale who started yale college in america, is buried in wrexham and one of teh towers in yale college in the usa, is modelled after st giles parish church in wrexham. ) higher education is studied in university. while my art school was called a college, it was part of the university. compulsory education is a bit different. there are 3 stages. maybe 4. nursery... not really school. infants until age 6, juniors until age 10, high school until age 16. this might be changing now though... I have heard about reforms. in south Korea the schools use terms that sound unfamiliar to me, more like the terms used in the USA I think. they have kindergarten, elementary, middle school. I've not heard of high school. it's possible they have high school but no english classes. oh yes, they take their english studies in private institutes called 'hakwon's.
  3. brilliant! great stuff lost unit! I just edited the page to make it better for searching. you guys should be able to find it easier by using the search wiki link on the bottom left. should be able to find it using searches like 'italian books' or 'cover pictures' or 'book covers'. would love to see if somebody can provide those missing covers.
  4. Damn! you are absolutely correct! I got the two words completely mixed up. I have a thing in my head, 'begins with F and is a poseable figure' ; I got confused with the names. maybe i can photograph these next to my gashapon's of libertus and griselda. would that be useful to anyone?
  5. I still don't see why you say that. the half that was sealed in naruto and the other half was sealed in minato. that half stayed sealed in minato, the half that was sealed in naruto, stayed in naruto. (except the tiny amount inside the kin and gin brothers. ) I think what you are saying here is that you don't see how naruto could use kyuubi's chakra if it was sealed inside him... well this was explained many times, the seal was not airtight and it got weaker over time. don't you remember the first encounter with orochimaru? orochimaru himself said the seal had gotten weak and that is when he 'slammed the door shut' on kyuubi chakra and make naruto totally weak again.
  6. more a case of, due to the BFC-MAX development, it is easier to continue with FIGMA.
  7. religion can be a very good tool. far more effective than soldiers at controlling the people you have conquered. you don't even have to supplant the governments any more. why would the religious leaders want to change that?
  8. why would you say half was in a scroll? you're confusing me. half was placed in minato and sealed in the dead demons seal, the other half was sealed within naruto. the frog he summoned, acted as the key to the eight trigram seal he used on naruto.
  9. chapter 503, minato seals half the kyuubi's chakra inside himself and into the dead demons seal. The seal he uses to take half of the kyuubi's chakra looks very similar to Naruto's seal. I suspect we will be seeing that seal on his abdomen some time soon. I think naruto learned how to open and close that seal, so we may be seeing a fight between father and son!
  10. exactly, that's what I was thinking! but here, I am not 100% certain on that. I do recall it being the case, but I could have gotten it wrong. perhaps I should find that part and double check....
  11. yeah, pretty much, the alkanphel model was taken back to the drawing board. that's why we didn't see it because the joints couldn't be aligned correctly.
  12. That was happening within naruto, so the only chakra he could have given him was chakra that was already within naruto. I'm pretty sure the other half was sealed within the shinigami with minato.
  13. yusuke yamamoto... I love that guy! he is so awesome. if he was a girl, I would definitely fancy him. well actually there is a girl I have seen that is very similar to him and she is so sexy. She is called Natsuna. I don't want to watch films though so... damn Odin, nice! watching Kabuto. I envy you, I loved Kabuto.
  14. for practical things I would agree. but in the case of the eventual fate of the universe we have maybe 1% of the data. I'd say we should wait until we have at least 50% of the data before making an informed guess. until then we keep studying and do more brilliant stuff. just for fun.... Things we can safely predict:- seismology, sure we pretty much got that down. weather, it's still fairly unpredictable but we are pretty clued up and get it more or less right most of the time. human behaviour, some people can be pretty unpredictable but psychology is getting better all the time. general movement of the planets in our solar system. we have tracked the motion pretty well. movement of celestial bodies even including galaxies. it's pretty large scale of time but the motion can be estimated. likelihood of certain stars having a planet that contains life, pretty good detection systems in place. dark matter... nope, we're pretty much 'in the dark' about that! other phenomena... yeah we got no clue. movement of galaxies in the far future, after our sun has stopped supporting life... not really. predictions about the entire universe including all the phenomena we haven't found or detected yet and also what happens with the dark matter that we aren't even sure about, and the behaviour of the physics which we haven't got a fully working standard model for yet, for a time so far in the future that the constellations won't exist, the galaxies probably won't even be the same..... no. no way. we don't even know if the universe is an open or closed system. we don't even have a rock solid confirmation of whether the big bang actually happened. or how. it's still theoretical.
  15. it's the nature of the internet unfortunately. people repeat view the thread, and some people try and get the gist of what your topic is about but may not actually view your video.
  16. wow! great news!! I have some figmas of tiger and bunny. the size of them is smaller than the bio fighter collection. The image of the guyver figma looks to be the same size as my tiger and bunny judging by the base.
  17. Best make sure you think carefully about lighting. That's big drawback number one. drawback number two is the joints on your figure. if you're not careful you could weaken them. I damaged the joint on my figure by posing it too much. drawback number three is the difficulty you will encounter getting the pose exactly right. following the diagram above will make guyver look stupid. guyver has a different method of walking, different weight distribution etc. I'm really looking forward to seeing what you come up with anyway
  18. I'm not really aware of the ancient astronaut theory because any time I heard of it, probably sounded like those alien conspiracy theories, abductions etc. I don't really buy into any of that, it just sounds like paranoia.
  19. I'm going to a city called Yongin, it is about 20 miles south of Seoul, so I should be able to make regular visits. hey you guys need to be clear on something! this is my social network. this is the main thing that will be the same in my life so it's not like I'm going anywhere. I'm not going off galavanting and putting the internet and this forum behind me, this is like my safety net. That's how you cope when things change. focus on the things that haven't changed. Hey Vguyver, it's good to hear you have some familiarity with Korean culture. it is a nice link, will make me feel more at hime. It's funny, the connections in life can sustain us. oh by the way, I recorded a video for this purpose. I received a nice suggestion via PM that I could create a topic surrounding this. so people can ask me questions and make requests. I'll call it 'Keyhole to Korea', thanks for the suggestion HC. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNldjnqkFAA
  20. Larz, thanks I'm feeling quite happy about this. This is not episode VII then! The rules are very simple. the next episode must come in chronological order. This is why 1, 2 and 3 came before the other movies. but now that we have an established 1 - 6 the only space in between these movies is a spin-off. so JJ abrams is directing a star wars spin-off not a proper star wars movie. episode VII comes AFTER episode VI. so as long as this movies are planned before the time of episode VI, they are a spin-off.
  21. Ah yes, it is easy to come up with a fancy idea if you haven't studied extensively first. I agree things need to be tested, ideally. I wish i had the means to test my own ideas. All I can do is to put it out there and see if a real scientist can understand where I am coming from and see what I have seen, then do the number crunching on it. It's tough because it is nearly impossible to demonstrate the depth to which I have thought about these things, the intensity with which I have studied. I'm no Stephen Hawking but I'm a pretty intelligent guy, among the top 5% for sure. my strengths are in spatial thinking, and I really suck at maths and reading. This mean, while I can't always use the correct words or utilise physics formulas, I actually do understand these things a lot more than most people. But then.. of course, I cannot expect anyone to just take my word for it. [emote=monkey]phew[/emote] sure, of course I understand why they make these conclusions. I made the same conclusion myself. Incidentally, I don't call it Entropy, I call it Balance. also, I don't consider it disordered energy, I consider it exquisitely ordered energy. difference in perspective, same concept. But anyway, even though I made this same conclusion, I also realise that the conclusion is wrong because there are forces that are still unexplained. you cannot reach a conclusions when you are certain of missing data. it's not proper. If forensics did that, then we would have innocent people on death row..... oh wait... yes this has happened hasn't it? So shouldn't we stop doing this? as a species, we should know better than to make assumptions. we need to wait until we get the full picture before making our conclusions. sure, one could argue that even with all the extra data such as dark matter etc, the universe would eventually balance out. it stands to reason does it not? actually... no. because to do that you would have to have a method of cancelling out one energy system. you can never cancel out completely, unless you have a universe with equal parts energy and equal parts anti-energy. I was looking at an idea that the universe is a very complex sine wave. and that nothingness is a flat line. well if the universe did start out as nothing and it was simply a flat line, then what 'struck the note' ? in other words, what started the big bang. what was the catalyst? most of these ideas call for there being something 'outside the universe'. who knnows.
  22. I think this is a combination of things. The things we have been talking about, if it has been noticed, would make them think "our actions are making them consider keeping the work private, if we lay off for a while, they might change their mind and we can continue to use their work for our own profit after a while"

    viz covers

Many thanks you guys, I just uploaded all these covers to the wiki page. looking good http://www.japan-legend.com/wiki/index.php?title=Guyver:_Merchandise
  24. Cheers cannibal, mr mctaco yikes... durendal, I'm not sure where you're coming from there! ehm.... I live with family currently. I don't get along with them. and some time this year, the family home is going to a different family. There won't be a place for me in the uk, unless I buy my own place or find somewhere to rent. I won't be so worried abut leaving. because I don't really get along with these guys. But then... I don't know how I'll feel. Not really. But I do know I want to look forward to what I am headed for. Don't really want to look behind me.
  25. I think we are talking less about evolution because in these sorts of debates, it is usually the ignorant vs the open minded. it's not so much a debate about evolution, rather the open minded knowledgeable people, trying to communicate what we have already established. I actually had a good conversation with mirabilis on facebook about evolution. you can read it here if you like, it is a public post on my wall. (edit: it's gone)
