I would think the people of Russia are far more astute and politically minded than the apathetic nations of the west. I say this because of the history of the area. The USSR was not long abolished. I think there has been far more unrest in Russia in the recent times so as to ensure the people are so much more aware of these kinds of issues. The truth is, Putin is pro Russia. He is a very good leader for the Russian people. He keeps Russia strong and that is something that is important to so many Russians.

because the country is corrupt just like so many others. but the discussion is a good one. I just wanna say here, no substances should be illegal. it's ridiculous. instead there should be focused therapy and support available for people who have a substance use problem. At the end of the day, if you make one substance illegal, the people who are in trouble will just find something else to use or they will break the law. The idea of trying to control those people is everything that is wrong with the world today. too much vying for control.

I'm wondering why our wiki says she has two. A lot of it was translated from the japanese wikipedia by durendal, but I've checked Griselda's data file and there is no mention of two. I'm thinking that the wiki page for griselda may be in error. I think it might be a good idea for somebody to go over our wiki for accuracy. Somebody familiar with the manga and datafiles and who can come to me with any test that hasn't been translated for clarification. as far as I'm concerned, griselda has one 'crystal' which may be a dummy crystal or a zoacrystal. There is nothing that I have seen that leads me to believe she has more than one of those. The crystal that is in the centre of her breast is a similar shape but I do not think we can consider it the same type of thing. not unless explicitly stated.

no, he was destroying those pieces to prevent them from building a brain. remember there was a segment about that, how aptoms cells rebuild his body by undergoing ontogenesis. yeah I have often thought about what possible energy storage capacity some zoanoids may have. we see orbs on some zoanoids but I think that is mainly for amplification purposes.

I think it is perhaps fair, yes as a concerned human being noticing certain actions but not alluding to other actions. It is perhaps more appropriate to compare Putin to Napoleon since Napoleon is a much loved and respected military commander who did much good despite his methods. That would avoid any connotations in my view. I'm not suggesting that Putin aims to do the same sort of thing. I just thought it is a better historical figure to use. by the way, this is relevant - http://www.nytimes.com/2014/06/15/opinion/sunday/chelsea-manning-the-us-militarys-campaign-against-media-freedom.html?_r=2

are we forgetting about the issue of energy? It's pretty well known that the zoacrystal stored teh energy require for zoalord abilities. without a high capacity energy storage, how can any zoanoid hope to truly compete on that level? V Guyver, I was thinking about teh biomissiles, I think the missiles can easily be given instructions in advance and follow a simple trajectory in order to re integrate?

deg ( welsh) (yeah we had one of these thread before. )

I understand what you are saying, but to draw that parallel... I don't like it. There are members of our community who have a far different perspective and may well be big supporters of Putin. I would not want them to feel alienated. It's your view of course, I just hope it doesn't come across as too offensive for some people.

we have to ask though, is what the Russian public believe true? we can't immediately assume that they have been fed lies without also admitting that we could equally have been fed lies. what is the real situation, it's hard to say. maybe Ukraine was becoming a puppet of the western regimes? what with the NSA scandal and GCHQ... also the actions exposed by people like Chelsea Manning, and the presence of Guantanamo bay... The western regimes are not altruistic. They betray others and they betray us who they are supposed to serve. We are all told by our media that Putin is a guy not to be trusted, but how do e know they aren't just painting him to be some kind of demon? For all we know Putin could be the nicest guy in the world and may be truly on the side of freedom etc. well there is the news about anti-LGBT laws or whatever is actually the case, it can't all be fabricated so there are problems, but there are problems everywhere. I think how media focuses on these things makes us think a government is 'the enemy', not literally but a 'us and them' situation. I mean I can also use China as anothr example. USA govt. criticising their human rights record, is total hypocrisy!! I mean, China is not sending drones into other countries and bombing innocent civilians as collateral murder.

There is really no misunderstanding of what is going on there. It seems clear to anyone that the Russian military commanders saw a power vacuum and decided to take advantage. I'm not going to condemn or praise that action, just saying what it looks like. Personally, I am against military intervention when not necessary. That view applies to all military, so applies to UK armed forces, US forces, Russian forces, etc.

I wouldn't say he doesn't have need for internal organs. I think it's fair to say he is pretty flexible in his need for organs on a constant basis, but to say he doesn't need them at all is perhaps a stretch. I mean he does need to metabolise and respire etc. but most importantly, he needs a brain. It was explained that his cells upon finding no brain, would enter a state of ontogenesis in order to rapidly create the necessary organs. They need organs to perform specific functions. his cells aren't up to the task of sustaining a complex lifeform. a brain needs blood with fuel and oxygen and hormones etc. I would imagine zoanoid processes take up a lot of energy and is a secondary reason why they can turn back to human form. their human metabolism stores up energy that is needed for zoanoid things. if their metabolism isn't effective enough so they can't store enough energy from food, they go in a processing tank. I imagine that since aptom can't get access to a processing tank easily, he must have a digestive system of sorts. he has his predation whatever ability which can convert other organism into his own cellular material. but once that has occurred, he needs to have systems in his body to metabolise that material and use it for energy for his brain and other normal human processes. I would imagine that when he isn't going about his business, he is still fundamentally human. It's all conjecture of course. he might be nothing more than a slime creature now.

sorry, I should have been more courteous. I Agree that it looks similar to him, but many zoanoids look similar to each other. a direct comparison of the left side of evil aptom and teh zoanoid from th airport, reveal some specific differences that to me negate teh possibility that he gained that visual appearance from the same type of zoanoid. (let's also remember that hypers are difficult to reproduce with only a couple of examples shown of a repeat aka zerbebuth) the fact that he was in the vicinity of the airport long after the events of cloud gate, give a possibility that he absorbed thet guy's dna so he may have a barrier ability now. anyway, I also want to mention the part where he blocked shin's attack. it is my feeling that shin's attack was not a very powerful one as he was not even in his battle mode. it must have been a relatively low intensity blast and could have been blocked by the EM shield that aptom has already demonstrated. it's really interesting that he has abilities that he himself is not aware of! I do agree that is a very interesting plot device. I almost want to call it cute. I like it a lot. it does make me think of when he was on top of draglord... did he try to absorb then and was blocked by cablarl's zoacrystal? I am wondering about teh time when he said he couldn't absorb a zoalord because of the zoacrystal and getting blocked like he was with ht CM. was that dialogue before or after? in any case, I do think that line of dialogue was a bit too far of an assumption so I do agree on that point.

Opinions about backwards compatibility?
Jess♥ replied to PrimalNemesis's topic in Japanese Entertainment
I agree that there is not much point upgrading to a new console. I don't even own a console any more. I am borrowing my friends 360 in order to play tales of vesperia, but I have not turned it on in months. these days, it makes more sense to get indie games on PC. you can get some awesome games for a very low price on the humble bundle website and in steam sales. -
it would be interesting to think about. we see similar orbs on other zoalords. what do the various orbs do? what is their main function or mechanism? Is it possibly that gravity points are in any way related to some zoalords ability to levitate?
-
are they gravity orbs? how do we know?

look at a direct comparison. it is not the same form as the guy at the airport. looking at evil aptom, most apparent is bilfinger and zangallo. the others are not shown. his right arm is bilfinger and his left leg is zangallo. can't remember his right leg but I know that his left arm was not featured in any of the zoanoids in previous panels. it must be assumed that there were some that we did not see. like the ones in the background. it is as i was saying, there was a window of opportunity to show what he had absorbed. any not used in that period is not on the table to be used in the future. any attempt to use them is bad story telling. I don't think it's masterful. if that was his intention then it would be cowardly. what would be masterful is if he had specifically foreshadowed something in that section. sometimes we miss foreshadowing, but to use something that is simply not shown and to use a random event to explain it away, is cheap. i mean, it's possible to say that about any period after aptom left cronos. there are plenty of occasions where we have not seen aptom. we know he eats up zoanoids as a regular pastime. so we can see him get any new ability at any point without any explanation because he can absorb any zoanoid at any point that we are not specifically watching. but it doesn't happen and you know why? because it's bad story telling to not show something that will later become significant.

I am sure there has been discussions about ultraman in hte past, I recall telling people about my favourite which is Ultraman Cosmos. to be honest, it is the only one I have watched. I liked it because if how he always tried to heal every monster that came along. it seems that it is hte only one like this though so I was put off watching any more.

I disagree. I don't think that event gives caveat to freely introduce any number of exotic abilities. that would be bad storytelling. there was a window of opportunity for the author to demonstrate abilities obtained from that absorbing spree and that window of opportunity was the the following battle. after that window of opportunity, it is not good story telling to introduce any new ability obtained from that event. in a real world situation, it would certainly be possible, but we are talking about a narrative. the reason, is that it will not be fresh in the readers mind. any flashback to that event in order to introduce a new ability would be seen as sloppy and almost like a deus ex machina. also, aptom needs to have set limits in order for his struggles to have purpose and meaning.

I appreciate the offer but they are already sent out and I don't really want to do it all again at least this way, we can look forward to the tankoubon more!

I think it helps to think about what they actually are. what is a crystal? well a crystal is a material where the atoms are arranged in a set pattern. metals tend to be crystalline so the control metal and zoacrystal are somewhat related. the control metal is pretty much a computer, right? It's more complex than a zoacrystal with separate parts, but fundamentally they could be the same. I've hypothesised this before. the CM has a transparent looking portion that can emit light. this could be similar or the same material as a zoacrystal. anyway, what I'm getting at is, the crystalline structure can be arranged in such a way to form pathways and behave like an energy routing system. essentially it could be considered similar to an amplifier among other things. energy could be kept in a part of the zoacrystal like a capacitor or a battery, then there could be a gateway to various other parts of the crystal that can be switched by signals from the zoalord. so how would a dummy crystal differ? it seems like the energy storage capacity is less. I don't think there is much more of a difference though to be honest. essentially it provides teh same as a full zoalord has access to. I think the main issue with murakami and why he was due to die, was mainly because of his processing. he had not been processed to be a finished model, so his situation was similar to the test type. His zoacrystal helped to sustain him of course, because it seems that the energy of the crystal helps to sustain cell vitality. not sure how it does that. caerleon shrivelled up when he lost his crystal. I would like to think that is because of the fact he had already taxed his body during his fight. I would like to think that he experienced rapid ageing because of increased metabolism and rapid cell division, not because of the natural ageing process 'catching up'. because that wouldn't make sense. That does probably need some thought but maybe another time.

I don't really have time for this sort of thing. Bobby, have you tried learning how to use photoshop and how to do basic art works? maybe if you can work together with an artist that has more time, it can be beneficial for you both? I think you could get a more rewarding and mutually beneficial relationship with an artist if you approach it that way.

since this thread is about something that does not yet exist, please be careful in naming it, people may come in here excited to see the news only to find a lot of conjecture. If Iron man 4 is announced, it should have a separate thread for news.

I also have a similar personality to my mother. not really in the sense of hobbies etc. she is a useless cook and she is not really creative. she sticks her head under the sand whenver anything hapens. but in some ways we are very alike. we like superhero movies but not really fanatical about teh comics. we aren't really into makeup so much or fancy dressing up, but at some occasions we do like to go all out. she can be a naggy stubborn bitch and so can I. so some things like that we are similar. but it's personality traits rather than hobbies. I think personality traits will determine if you are masculine or feminine. I think though... liking something that is seen as feminine and being okay with that, is a feminine trait. so if you like crochet and knitting etc and you are happy withthat, then that could be a feminine trait. if you view cooking as a solely feminine thing, and then you decide that you like cooking and you're happy with that, then it makes you feminine in that respect. I think my art is feminine when I paint things pink and put cute stuff in it.
