There's really no way to tell. I mean... well we can have a good idea if we know the writer or director are the same. I don't currently have access to that information. Don't have time to check wikipedia at the moment.

to be fair the clip says "kono otoko ha..." . 'man' is implied as it really just says 'this male'.

nice job getting through it. I read what you said in your previous posts but rarely in the mood to offer up any suitable response I was going to join you in watching it but seem more focused on fairytail. I'll watch kiva again some day, but mainly because I LOVE the design for IXA.

oh, you replied again aether, you can check publication dates on this page - http://www.japan-legend.com/wiki/index.php?title=Guyver:_Merchandise you can trust these dates as I have owned multiple copies of different guyver publications in the past so I've checked them all.

cheers cannibal, I was about to go and grab that info. our wiki is drawing information directly from the japanese guyver wiki article. Durendal translated it all and so It's far more likely to be correct. Aether, I have the original shonen captain guyver volume 1. actually I have 2 copies of it. It was definitely published in march 1986. The engish wikipedia article for guyver is not as reliable as the info we have, it probably got it's date info from that ebay listing. or vice versa.

wow you went to Vietnam!! that is amazing! it looks like you went to some really nice places!

I have to question how the tankoubon came out in march 1986 if the first release of any guyver was a month earlier. are you sure about the year? I can't see a year on that cover, but it could just be because of how small the scan is.

well I think it's good to consider it seriously. I figured out that I like effeminate looking guys built like an Adonis, but I like girls more. Actually, I don't know if I'd like those guys in person, but I've been able to identify times when I actually truly liked girls as opposed to lust driven obsession or merely jealousy. Remembered most of the girls i really liked and also recalled that they turned out to be gay girls. go figure. Anyhow I have decided it is much better to try and find girls by clearly advertising when I go out, and add to that, I will try to go out more. That's the only way to find something real. I think I have a good system. I've bought a venus pendant in case anyone doesn't quite get it. I think most would assume female but I just need to be sure. I've also bought a gay pride badge and I wear a ring on my right thumb. I also keep my fingernails painted crimson so that's pretty obvious.

thanks I've always been very good at thinking about ways of self defence anyway. perhaps it's instinctive? The other part too, about watching my drink. I've always done that.

no, not small details... what was i trying to say... I'll let you know how it went without revealing too much personal stuff. yeah that's it.

Thank you for the words of caution. it is true that I have never been told any of the things that girls and women will probably get told a lot. I really am of the attitude that I am unbreakable, but I need to remember that I am becoming more vulnerable all the time. I am turned from society's predator to society's prey. I suppose it is for the best that I intend to date women. Men was a non-starter. I mean, one day I might meet a really nice guy through a friend or something, but I think I need to take your advice on board and be very careful. I need to find out what all this cautionary advice is that girls get told. It's stuff I need to know for sure. Thanks for your encouragement, if I get to go on a date, I will certainly let you know some small details

yeah, I know what you're saying about split attention. I devote a bit of time before i go to bed, to watch a movie or a tv show or anime. other times, I have three screens to take my attention.. one is tv, one is main computer, other is extra computer screen for conversations, etc. -

dragon ball is ridiculous. but fun. -
No, I don't like diluting good meals with starchy staples. If I ever have rice with a meal, I would eat it plain and then get stuck in to the good stuff. that is my personal preference though of course. you could add rice to it, I think it might go nicely. did you say butter was good on your body or bad on your body? I think it is most healthy to eat a wide variety of things in moderation.

bacon is oily if you cook it in oil and if you eat it on its own. If you cook it in very little oil and let the fat melt, it is basically just cured pork. In the dish I made, the fat of the bacon would dissipate amongst the vegetables and the tomato based sauce.

Life's hitting me a bit hard just now so I'll just say, I like how his eyes light up.

I should probably mention that I followed through with my plan and have been self medicating for 3 months. It makes a HUGE difference. my face has lost a lot of the heaviness it used to have. all my upper body is much more feminine, less mass, less muscle. I even think my hips are getting wider.

I joined a dating site and it's pretty intense. I had tried it in the past but of course, I could never connect on a personal level so I just failed miserably. Recently though I am far more in touch with who I am. I also find that making a profile as a woman is enabling me to get the right kind of responses. I initially put it as woman seeks man, to see how I felt about it. it wasn't the worst thing in the world, there was a couple of attractive men, but I wasn't really excitedly waiting for the emails and didn't feel nervous when replying so I figured it's probably not for me. So I changed it to woman seeks woman. Got a fair bit of interest and noticed the difference in how I felt straight away. I was truly excited when i got emails saying "(person) wants to meet you!" and excitedly rushed to look at their profile. now I had a message yesterday from some girl and looked at her profile. Wow, she is such a cutie! Well there are lots of cuties on there but mostly I liked her style. I liked her attitude. she is sweet and sensual and really nice to me, seems to know just what I like to hear. So I'm really looking forward to talking to her on skype. I want a video chat because I've heard of some nasty people on dating sites that pretend to be someone else. I don't know, I got nothing but good feelings when talking to her so I don't want to believe that it could be a lie. I hope I can see her on video chat soon. I think the best part is the fact that people don't question my gender when they see my profile. It gives me a lot of confidence in myself. I mean, I know that my body was already like 95% female, with the male bits messing up the rest of me with their poison. It is just nice to have some kind of confirmation It's nice to be told I'm beautiful.

wow! I made something that tastes GORGEOUS!! here is how it goes. put frying pan on medium heat with a light coat of oil, just enough to stop things from sticking. put in diced bacon, about the same amount of what two chicken breasts would look like. put in a small sweet potato cut into small pieces, like half inch wide millimetre thick slices. cut up two spring onions. and put them in. now add about a heaped teaspoon of coriander and about a teaspoon of paprika, 3 tablespoons of butter and two tablespoons of sugar. just fry it for a bit, less than a minute before adding a tin of chopped tomatoes. let that simmer until the sauce is nice and thick. I think this could be called Jess's Creamy Tomato Bacon.

it's interesting to note that when kaito got injured, his injury showed a representation of helheim beneath his skin. now that makes it strange to show kouta with blood coming from his wound. It may just turn out that the blood is a residual effect and his injury may not have actually been critical.

I agree. I didn't even feel at all emotional at that point because they were already talking about how Mai could effect their fate. I was pretty upset when Ryouma got done in though, I mean he was a nasty guy but still that is an important character, gone. pretty powerful stuff. The whole series has become very bleak. it's really done an amazing job at generating the strong feeling of the desperation they are in. The world is really in a bad way, it's such a strong series. time travel... hmm, maybe a bit weak? I hope they don't do too much with that, I hope that they made their point that mai couldn't have too much of an effect on past events. If that was the sole purpose of that sequence then I am happy.

ah! you provided them!! I have a poor memory!

I would really love to get better pictures of these if that were even possible. we don't have any record of these on our merchandise page in the wiki. They were arranged in a weird format but I can't remember exactly. it was part 1 issue 1 then part 1 issue 2 etc. I think there were between 5 and 7 'issues' in each 'part' and the images on the covers were totally inappropriate. I don't think I ever had access to a whole set but I did have a whole lot of them back in '98 No idea where they went. memory is not that good. -------------------------------- -------------------------------- forget that... I am a big fat liar. http://www.japan-legend.com/wiki/index.php?title=Guyver:_Merchandise#English_manga_releases

The books are: an assortment of individual issues which comprised of roughly a chapter each, I assume they are up to volume 4 since that would make a clean run. Viz publications 5-7 original shonen captain japanese release 8-15 kadokawa japanese release 16-22

That curry recipe looks really interesting! It has Chinese base in it so I take it you like Chinese curry? I have never tried Chinese style or other East Asian style, only Japanese kareraisu. I do like some thai so I might try that some day. Ha ha, that is so funny hearing about your bovril in your food! I actually haven't had bovril for such a long time. I do tend to prefer putting some vegetable stock in my rice instead of plain water though. some tips for miso soup? I gave the main one, I'm not sure if there is another way to make it. I mean.... if you want some substitutions.. you could use regular spring onions instead of welsh onions. (funny that welsh onions are hard to find in wales! ) You could use vegetable or chicken stock instead of dashi stock. I don't think there is any alternative for wakame.
