do you mean, the details of his crotch? I can't really tell, but I do get the impression from his pose that he is a very forceful person.

Thanks for the update. I need to say something important now. We are all well aware of how Russia operates with regards to many things. It has been constructive to talk about this here, but something has been on my mind. We do have visitors here from tie to time who may find they could be compromised by this post. The less I say about this the better, but in the interests of allowing certain visitors to keep visiting I think it is for the best that this topic not really go any further. Please, by all means send me a private message if you need clarification. The sole reason for this is to ensure that people are still free to come and visit our forum without any potential difficulties. With that, I reluctantly lock this thread, I hope you don't mind me too much.

correction, that would be 152. but still a lot less than the usual 180.

BRILLIANT COVER CANNIBAL!! hmm, I don't know how they can release a volume. there are only 140 pages to go into it...

I have to agree with you, that is supremely cool. but I need to ask the question, are we looking at which is the coolest in the series itself, or in the concept designs? because some of the concept designs are amazing but their counterpart is not always. it's no secret that I would pick hurricanger, aside from the fact is my favourite series, the way their mecha moves and transforms is so cool. I think gobusters was almost as good, but hurricangers mecha was just so mechanical and it made sense. but in terms of design, I will struggle. I'd have to look at them all. the book I have on loan from my bro is in my mates house.

yeah, it is a sound design. it looks better if I just look at the thumbnail. the face is reminiscent of Kaixa. I will be eager to watch this series. I hope they give it a good atmosphere and story.

heh heh... I think what the main problem is... I used sunflower oil. not anywhere near olive oil really is it? I should buy some olive oil, haven't had any for a while. also, used malt vinegar which maybe isn't the best to use.

ha ha.. well I do believe it is possible for this kind of ideal to spread. mass information dissemination leads to more deeper understanding. I think it is now possible for the human race to become more harmonious. I'm not saying it's going to be easy, but it's possible. The ones at the top of the tree, those are the ones who will resist, will find it more difficult to integrate. the ones at the bottom, the ones who end up as drug addicts, thieves, etc, these are usually the most able to change if only given a chance. some of the most genuine people I have met are people who come from a really dodgy background.

I do like thai now and then. but I also love Japanese food so I can certainly appreciate subtlety. I was just wondering what sort of measurements I might use to get the same result. like would we be talking about a tablespoon of oil and tablespoon of vinegar? or more? I won't use ketchup since it is very difficult to make it myself. I don't really trust the bottled stuff. It's too common/popular and therefore more likely to be filled with preservatives and chemicals etc.

it is an interesting thought, because in a sense, we are all like this, except the individual cells that make up our body are not able to survive on their own. but of course in The distant past, multicellular organisms came about due to single cell organisms working together. anyway sorry to go off on one, I just thought it was in intriguing thought. I can't actually think of any example to give you... unless.... well there is Legion from Mass Effect. sort of.

I bought some cabbage and some cauliflower. today for breakfast, I fried cauliflower with peas and broke two eggs over it. I don't think hte eggs really go with it, but teh cauliflower was very nice. a good method of preparation! I also sliced quarter of teh cabbage finely and after throwing some paprika in there, I poured in some oil and vinegar. it was kinda bland so I put in some salt. not sure If I did it right, it's not really very exciting. what sort of measures should i be using?

Fairly good news. I don't hate it on first glance and that is promising. I thought his head looked odd too. not sure if it looks like a regular helmet visor where the eyes are... if that is true, I'm not sure how I feel about that. Eyes need to be special. You just can't see much in the way of detail on toys though so we would have to hope his eyes are special. in the photo it looks like they are black, so there is a contradiction there. Who knows, maybe those black eyes turn silver, it might be quite a cool effect? In any case, the armour looks solid, It's not offensive and could be a decent and robust design. hmm... I have to add, in that live action shot, he looks somewhat like that dekaranger guy. the one played by the dog man.

well they aren't in print any more. I don't know where I would look for them. since they were probably last printed well over ten years ago, many will have gotten lost or destroyed. I'd say they are certainly collectors item, though the valuation is difficult. If I had a decent amount of money I would prefer to offer you something like £2.50 each. I think I would feel like that is a fair offer. that's just me though. it really depends on your buyer and how you feel about them. As I said, I don't have the money so unfortunately you can't use my pricing as a guide. The market might not be there and I may well be overvaluing them.

ah, that would result in a korma type curry wouldn't it? good idea!

gobusters was amazing. my most loved series though was hurricanger and abaranger. I'm not sure if perhaps it was at a point where I hadn't gotten mired down by the repetitive tropes, or maybe i was just lucky and they were that good. anyway, I do want to watch Timeranger. I want them to bring out a high quality version first though. what I saw of it was pretty awesome, the quality was just the pits.

some good ideas. yes using a stock cube will really help the flavours along. I generally prefer to use only vegetable stock so I'm limited, but the idea of using a marinade is a good one. I recently started playing about with vinegar, mainly to make sweet and sour chicken,. but I found that I could get an interesting flavour into the 'meat' (quorn) by putting it in the vinegar and combining with some other spices. of course, the whole lot went into the sweet and sour sauce, so it didn't really create a separation of flavours. I'll have to try it differently next time. maybe make a sweet and sour marinade and then just make a separate sauce without the vinegar and sugar. interesting idea actually.. I can make a very simple tomato based curry sauce with tinned chopped tomatoes, chopped up bell pepper, and spices. The spices you listed are very good basic spices, but you should try getting some variety to add to your cooking. that's how you can become a good cook. branch out and experiment. something I remembered. I did make a curry that was very different. pineapple. I used to get a dansak curry from the local indian. I pretty much think the thing that made the flavour was the pineapple so I bought one and made a curry with it and I was right. it was very nice and a different flavour. based on that observation, I think perhaps fruit can be a good thing to add a distinctive basic flavour to a curry.

I'd like to ask about Curry. I make a curry last night, as I normally do, but I find that my Curry is generally very same-y and I can't instil enough variety. it could be two things. first it could be the spices. second it could be my base ingredients. base ingredients is usually cooked and puréed potato and carrot. fried onion, ginger and leek, with beef mince. then the spices. I am quite liberal with them and generally have bit of chilli, cumin, coriander, paprika, garlic, bit of cinnamon and bit of turmeric. I think the main problem is I don't have a strong base flavour. maybe if I added tomatoes as a base flavour, it would all taste better. well I am hoping for any suggestions from you guys!

muffin is unusual for us. classic ingredients would be sausage, egg, bacon, beans or plum tomatoes, maybe black pudding, maybe hash brown. It's very unhealthy these days, it was originally intended to be eaten to start off a day of hard labour, such as mining or working in the steel mills. It has perfect amount of calories and fat for that kid of work, but far too much for today's office work. I'm confused about congee now. I thought it was a particular type of rice, now it sounds like it is a method of preparation. I'll have to check wikipedia. That century eggs sounds interesting. I doubt we would be able to get them easily in the UK.

please allow me to add some perspective. one can say religions are part of the cause, without necessarily inferring that the religion is wholly responsible. any religion that says it's own precepts are correct and therefore the others are wrong is by definition a source of conflict, whether that be armed conflict, physical conflict or merely conflicting thoughts. It is also very different from suggesting that all religious people will be the cause of a conflict of some sort. At the end of the day, it is impossible to say that Christianity or Islam or Judaism are not in any way responsible for any wars when looked upon as a collection of scriptures and schools of thought. the basic fundamental definition of religious is somebody who follows a precept or collection of precepts. This gives rise to fundamentalism and extremism as a matter of course. as an example, a person who is an adherent of christianity cannot simply separate themselves from the spanish inquisition in terms of religious following. they were christian too. I don't think it is necessarily fair to take Matts words and infer that he was saying all adherents of any religion are to blame. I think it may help to ask Matt what he was implying with his statement if there is any misunderstanding.

what is a century egg? interestingly, I did have ginger in my rice last week. I put a load of other spices in it as well though. I think I spoiled it. shouldn't have put chilli powder in. I don't mind chilli, I love hot curries and mexican food. just spoiled the flavour of the rice a bit. nice breakdown of the 'ki' symbol. never saw that before. I mean, I might of, but never noticed the rice symbol there. I'm gonna buy some cabbage soon. that recipe is very much like coleslaw. it's just missing the egg from the mayonnaise. I mean, mayonnaise is oil, vinegar and egg. i've ever had sweet paprika but I have regular paprika in the cupboard. I wish I could have sandwiches. have to buy wheat free bread and that stuff is expensive!

heh heh, I had not heard that! well I cook in a pressure cooker so i can't take the lid off until it's finished. medicinal.. well I shall have to try it. I love the sound of carrot and ginger! I need to try that. concerning noodles, you can't use rice noodles for ramen. also, yes udon noodles are kinda thick. if you can get proper ramen noodles, that is best. not those cheap packet noodles we can get in the supermarket over here. But then I guess you already know that. when the things arrive from Japan maybe towards the end of this week, I will be making miso soba. I have to use soba because I can't eat too much wheat.

wow, fried cauliflower sounds great!!! I will have to try that next time I get to buy some vegetables! I'm surprised at your salad dish, I have found that cabbage can be difficult to eat raw. what variety of cabbage do you use and how do you prepare it so it is easier to chew?

well they were looked down on because they were defective models, nothing more complex than that. some of them have good abilities but they can't successfully pass on their genes to the next generation. think about zxtole as a fine king with an illustrious bloodline to follow, Aptom by comparison is like a castrated lion.
