Have you ever heard of a "Heat Dome" ryuki? I'm not sure. I've heard of eco-domes. is that the same thing?

thanks tales, I only wanted it to be understood. if people don't agree then that's fine. People all have their own views, I just think it's important that we can communicate effectively. I was thinking about guyver last night and how i would feel if guyver suddenly got changed. well guyver is not finished and still being penned by the same writer. ishinomori is no longer making this show. and the original has already finished. so I can't really compare. but there are fan-fictions for guyver. the fanfictions sometimes concentrate on aspect that i don't like. durendal is making a very good point though. and this is similar as my previous idea that masked rider is taking the spot that sentai previously filled. the target audience is changing the show. although i just think that the use of 'masked rider' on the title is just so they can say, it is able to be changed drastically. but look at masked rider Ryuki. there was so much potential for toy sales from that series... so i think it's more about target audience and who they can aim it towards in order to get maximum sales from toys. and so the style of the show changes in that respect. even the new red dwarf that was made had a blatant advert in the middle of it for DVD's.

additional: since kamen rider W has not even started airing yet, I don't thnk you can say anything about the show possibly following the core of what made kamen rider what it was. how can you make a judgment on kamen rider W yet? have you read a synopsis ? I don't know too much about it myself... but from what i do know I realise that it is easily possible for teh main hero to be tragic and outcast. is there some way that you can be sure that kamen rider W will not be true to the original ?

maybe he'll have 3 versions? if it is true that W is both of these guys together... then maybe it will be different depending on the episode? if the episode concentrates on one of them, then it could be a one sided kick favouring that guy? and then if it does not favour either, then it is a two sided kick?

yeah thats why he said the scarf points to this (possibility) I really get the feeling you just aren't listening... I've tried explaining my point in a number of different ways and you just seem to be ignoring, or talking about something else. I'm trying to say that maybe these shows aren't meant to be the same. they aren't supposed to be kamen rider and thats why named different. should i just stop visiting this thread? am i wasting my time here? it seems like you're just looking for a reason to insult some of the recent shows and perhaps my trying to come up with an explaination is taking away your opportunity to attack these shows? maybe this is why you've had experience with people flaming you? because perhaps you really just want to insult the shows? I'd really prefer to find some peace. if you are upset that the shows are not kamen rider, then my idea that they are not MEANT to be, might help you to accept them instead of attacking them. that way everyones happy. but once again, I may be just wasting my time and maybe i shouldn't try to get peace. maybe this thread is just meant for screaming and shouting about the recent series. perhaps it's not meant to be intelligent discussion, maybe it's an emotionally charged hate-fest. you choose. if you want to keep it as a place just to slag off recent series' then please let me know and i'll change the title of the thread to 'recent rider slag off thread'. I'm really looking forward to this. I think the change in style will be really interesting. whenever I see this it makes me think of Takeshi Hongo. Tales, may I suggest you take this with a fresh perspective? I just wouldn't want any pessimism spoiling other people's enjoyment. sometimes when a person slates something so much, it makes the people who read it feel bad. I don't want anyone to feel bad so please just give it a chance to shine on it's own merits.

I answered my question myself. all the series after kuuga are "masked rider" until W comes along. I don't know if kuuga is masked rider because it doesn't specify in the title card. if somebody has seen kuuga they can perhaps enlighten me as to if there are any pointers in the show that suggest that it is meant to be masked rider or if it is certainly kamen rider. since all the shows past kuuga are named "masked rider" I believe that the creators are not trying to make proper kamen rider, they are doing something different yet similar in some ways. yet they know that it is not totally following the formula of kamen rider so they call it "masked rider" on the title card.

well the name could symbolise a change in attitude of the creators. do you know what i'm getting at?

yeah, that's what i'm getting at. they put it on the title card. so the japanese want it to be masked rider. I don't care about saban. but the point is, the japanese called these ones masked rider. did they call the other ones kamen rider? is there some correlation between the names and the shows and if they fit your idea of kamen rider.

I'm wondering if you think... is the original series constantly called kamen rider? or is it masked rider? some recent series are called masked rider. is there a difference? do you think that masked rider could be different from kamen rider in style.

well the pages still exist separately. you could always remove those sections from the navbar, or you could put lots of noinclude tags to condense the page if it is linked. so the user gets more info if they full view the page. or just leave them separate. it gives some options anyway.
