  1. I multiquoted you here just to make sure we know where we are. because i feel like there has been a bit of confusion. you said that the humans purpose is not to choose it's own destiny. I suggested that the humans purpose is indeed to choose it's own destiny and the guyver's behaviour supports that. then you said that the humans nature doesn't change when equipping the guyver. if you were saying that the humans purpose (and in extension it's nature) is to not choose, then the guyver giving them freedom to choose would be changing the nature of the human. changing obedience to full autonomy.
  2. I'm not sure how you feel you can say that with such confidence. to say sho fights with complete dedication... and without hesitation?? it has taken sho ~25 volumes to come to a mindset of determination. throughout the entire manga up to this point, sho has been flailing about like a fish out of water. he has found it very tough to fight purely because of his compassion for innocent life. in fact, cronos' methodology has relied upon that tendency most of the time.
  3. philosophically, you most certainly can argue with that. the uranus did shape and guide the development of life on earth. but to what degree? some aspects of humanity are certainly meeting the requirements of the creators goals, but there are many facets to the nature of humanity. not all of them are completely about what the creators wanted. for a race of beings that were supposed to be weapons, humans are surely capable of an awful lot of compassion. also, consider that guyver is meant to express the traits of the host and expand them. what happens with a human host? the host is freed from the control of the creators. is this a hint towards humans true purpose. that in fact humans are supposed to be free. maybe this is truly what the guyver does for a human host. it gives it freedom and teh ability to be completely indipendant. if humans were truly meant to be just controllable weapons, then the guyver would increse the host tendency to obey the creators.
  4. hi kenji, how are you?

  5. thanks dude, that's my favourite panel as well. it looks just like a proper anime to me. since kenji asked me to make it as much like the guyver tv series as i can, I am especially pleased with that.
  6. is that based on what i said or some other line of thought? are you thinking along the lines of residual charge?
  7. Hey Guys, I'm very proud to be able to present to you all, my latest work. this is a commission work for kenji. the original drawings were by somebody on deviant art and are posted in kenji's blog. the story is of course kenji's fanfiction "son of mine". the colours, the enhanced linework and all that razzmataz are my work. I'm very pleased with this page 2 and i feel it is vastly improved over the page 1 that i did a few months ago. ->
  8. I'd like to compare this to computer systems. if you pick up a hard drive from another device or computer, and connect to it, would you immediately be able to read the data? i would say if your operating system was designed to read another disk, then you would be able to. but what if your operating system was not designed to read other hard disks? think about what aptoms is designed to do. to assimilate DNA information. is he designed to assimilate memories? a good thought here is why aptoms memories might be stored. well if his brain needs to be re-processed when he gains new genetic data, then perhaps his body is designed to make a backup of his memories while he is re-processing his braincells? I don't thik this would allow him to access anothers memories. because in order to give the brain cells the ability to do this backup process, they would need to be modified and perhaps the process of modifying them will disrupt the memories in such a fashion as aptoms backup system is designed to circumvent.
  9. murakami's red sports car is a mazda. i had a lot of trouble trying to make the perspective look correct and did a lot of pushing and pulling of the lines. I have ended up with something that looks like an old volvo to me. but the structure looks sound. i think... if you wanted me to spend more time on it, I can fiddle with the bonnet and lights to make it look more like the mazda. i had already spent a lot of time on it though trying to make it look right. so i thought i'd stick with what i'd gotten and then ask you about it.
  10. ha ha, chapter 2 is finished and page 2 is very almost finished in colour. I hope to finishe it tomorrow. the car was a bitch to do. XD I hope you don't mind but i didn't want to spend too much time on the car so i adapted to what i saw and we can possibly assume this is not the same car as the anime? althoughy, i can always re-do it if you want that car.
  11. memory is fast. that suggests that in terms of data storage, it is not very compressed. we have learned from computers that if you can compress something that it is slow to access but you can fit it in a much smaller space. surely if you could compress memories, you could store it on a small strand of nucleic acid. nucleic acids can store vast quantiies of information in a tiny tiny space. it does not seem to far fetched that aptom could store his lifes memories in his genetic code. this would not be readily accessible of ccourse, and thus why his single cells must construct his brain before he starts to function on a conscious level.
  12. right you are dude. i had forgotten about that part.
  13. the guyver most likely does give mental enhancement. it is unlikely a normal human brain could cope with the sophistication of the guyvers improved systems.
  14. that top one looks like she is mixed race. her bone structure looks part caucasian.
  15. i like the idea of different relics. that looks kinda interesting!
  16. I found some images for your appreciation.
  17. I really enjoyed TVN's version. I watched it on broadcast, couldn't get a good signal. missed out on a hell of a lot of stuff. i watched it subbed by harorangers. it just felt awkward.. not sure why. perhaps something about the phrasing? I decided to have a look at TVN's version and see what it is like. it seems that there is no annoying stuff or untranslated attack names etc. well all hte attacks were in english. to be honest, I prefer takenoko's translation. anyhow... I noticed that philippe was writing in russian. well half russian and half japanese. ok, maybe it wasn't russian but it was using cyrillic script. cyrillic is used also by languages similar to russian.
  18. since we were talking about it in here, durendal, the ipbwiki pridge had an update relesed. the discussion topics should work properly now.
  19. This is the discussion topic for the wiki article: Order of Zeronos
  20. toku warrior, tvn released dcd 31 about 10 days ago. it's in our releases subforum. right at the bottom.
  21. by the way, haroranger are taking over from NTN. NTN are shuting down and haroranger are continuing the spirit. I watched episode 1 now fully and properly. quite interesting. so phillip is like neo from the matrix. need guns. lots of guns.
  22. episode 1 has been released by harorangers. http://d-addicts.net/torrents/%5Bharorangers%5Dkamen_rider_double_01%5Bhd%5D%5Ba9c8ad44%5D.mkv.torrent this is MKV file in HD
  23. that was pretty fun. I enjoyed them, but i actually figured out how they were done before they were revealed. well kinda. the first one, i expected it was a tight rope across teh water. that was before i saw him walking. i could see that his steps were not in line so I then changed my thought. the second one with the coin. that was pretty fun, I watched how hiw hand was sliding across the table. it was when i saw how he slid his hand i knew that he had to keep his hand against the glass for the trick to work. that's when it seemed obvious that he was wearing a ring and that the coin was magnetised.
  24. I would like it if there was a separate thread for each episode with a youtube video or something. it'd be like each month with guyver. it would be nice if there weas some really lively discussion going on.
  25. wow, that was really beautiful. i would love to have been there when they performed it.
