  1. it could be relevant. it depends on where you go from here. how does guyver modify the host cells? does it leave any remnants to aid in the instant body modification? kenji, you said that it was canonical that the host body is not remained modified without the armour. I don't recall this, do you remember where this information is?
  2. we can create various compounds through our organs and glands etc, but not a separate lifeform. the definition of a symbiosis is 2 separate lifeforms that work together. mitochondria live inside our cells but they are not created by our cell processes. they use their own reproduction method. similar to bacteria. you'll have to forgive me if my use of mitochondria is not suitable. it may be that mitochondria are no longer classed as separate organism in of itself, but there are many wee beasties that are.
  3. can you read my post again please. yes reproduction is about transfer of DNA but as i said quite clearly we are not just the sum of our DNA. there are other parts essential to our survival. they need to be passed on. they don't just magically appear.
  4. something to be considered. humans are not just the sum of our DNA. there are many other organisms that live in symbiosis with us. for example the bacteria in our gut. without it we could not eat.
  5. how do you feel about W as compared to previous riders? up til this point we have a monster of the week, a complete absence of any j-horror themes, a giant vehicle that is used ALL THE TIME... I would have thought tales would really hate this show by this point. although his earlier comments have not been to that effect. I'm really not enjoying it up to now. I'm finding the characters incredibly weak and empty. the story is a tad far fetched and unrealistic. it is introducing a few too many weird concepts and it seem that it is just 'for the hell of it'. it doesn't seem very 'grounded'. I hope it will change, but i don't see any j-horror elements coming into it really... I'm comparing this to ryuki and those era of masked rider. also, basing on what tales has said about the earlier riders. if I compare this to den-o or decade... i guess decade doesn't count because it is designed to be an amalgamation of previous riders. so to compare with den-o. i guess the atmosphere is similar. but in den-o the characters seemed to be strong. also there was an underlying tension with airi. I don't feel any tension with this. instead it feels just like what i have previously said was happening. kamen rider is becoming sentai. not that I'm going to blame it or judge it as compared to previous series. of course i will judge it on its own merits. at the moment though, it doesn't seem to have many merits.
  6. do you think it could be adapted and retain the current info? if not, no big deal. the page will be larger and more comprehensive when you are done with it. the ultimate resource!!!
  7. I know what you mean. life without a pc is so difficult these days.
  8. that is a great picture of dragreder!! wow, bobby you got some great images recently.
  9. ah yes it sounds that way. maybe your old memory was ok...
  10. Thanks cannibal I don't know. hmm, OK I added it to the first post. tx
  11. i copied this from here - http://www.dewassoc.com/support/bios/boot_process_errors.htm I wonder if this can help solve your problem.
  12. so tell me, how many people actually follow the rules most of the time? rules and regulations are just wishful thinking. freedom is far more important in the human equation. it is balance that is the challenge. one persons freedom when in conflict with rules can generally impact on another's freedom. so this is where conflict arises. rules are created to strive for peace, to strive for balance, of course it is never easy. but it doesn't change the view that peace is the eventual goal. peace and freedom. also how many behavioural sciences are you aware of that are actually 100% foolproof. all you have is a rough guideline of how people think. that is why there are so many people who go into and out of therapy and most of them will still have problems. this rough guideline can be compared to the human face. each person has 2 eyes, a nose and a mouth. 2 eyebrows. sure you can give a general description of a face, and on the flipside, thought processes... but people are not that predictable as you appear to suggest. and of course as soon as you try and predict somebody, they will turn around and prove you wrong. the only reason hypnotists and similar can do what they do is because people agree to go along with them on some level. it is fun to cooperate in freedom, but when danger presents itself, you may find that any of these types of skills will never work. you can never hypnotise somebody to self harm. if you really think people are that predictable, then I would like to know why there are people on death row instead of them being fixed. and why there are still people free who then go on killing spree?
  13. don't worry about any spamming that's essentially what it's for. but I reduced the frequency of the updates anyway.
  14. the only thing I can think of is maybe you put too much memory in? or the motherboard doesn't support the type of memory or speed of memory? about the place where this would be appropriate? perhaps in the general discussion forum. I don't think we get enough technical problems to justify a subforum for it.
  15. ah okay then, that does seem interesting. the lady in the shop told me that the new king James was the best, but it seems that you are right. upon further research I found that the nkj is only using texts from what was available in the 17th century. so it is most accurate to the Greek and Hebrew texts of that time, but not including more recent discoveries. I think I'd like to trade it in for a better one.
  16. which version of teh bible are you reading from? here, I will provide you with text from the new king james version. I bought this 2 years ago and was advised that the new king james was the most complete, most accurately translated and with most cross references. (although for some reason the international is more popular) see what you think of any differences in the text. 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. And God saw the light, that good; and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day. Then God said, "Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters." Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which under the firmament from the waters which above the firmament; and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. So the evening and the morning were the second day. Then God said, "Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry appear"; and it was so. And God called the dry Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that good. Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yields seed, the fruit tree yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed in itself, on the earth"; and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, the herb yields seed according to its kind, and the tree yields fruit, whose seed in itself according to its kind. And God saw that good. So the evening and the morning were the third day. Then God said, "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; "and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth"; and it was so. Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night the stars also. God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth. and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that good. So the evening and the morning were the fourth day. Then God said, "Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens." So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that good. And God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth." So the evening and the morning were the fifth day. Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, according to its kind"; and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that good. Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the wild animals of the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." So God created man in His image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth." And God said, "See, I have given you every herb yields seed which on the face of the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. "Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which life, every green herb for food"; and it was so. Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day. 2 Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made. This the generations of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens, before any plant of the field was in the earth and before any herb of the field had grown. For the LORD God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and no man to till the ground; but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground. And the LORD God formed man the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. what i find of interest here is the capitalisation if 'He' and 'Him'. actually, to me, this text seems to read as though there were more than one involved in this process. especially where the text refers to the creation of man, it says 'Our' and 'Us'. Which suggests at least 2 involved in the creation process.
  17. on the other hand, there is the really cool summers we have been having here.
  18. to most people's intelligence it may be imopssible or pretty difficult but to a super intelligent massively 20 hundred times the intelligence of einstein on ultra brain medication... there could be science jiggery pokery that we just can't fathom. uhm.. but you know how transmitters work? in a transmitter, there is something about varying the voltage or current across a wire and it creates and magnetic fluctuation that causes a ripple in the EM spectrum. or something like that. some EM wave. that makes a radio signal. and radio signals can effect anything. it makes your brain cooked if you are in the wrong palce. that's why those crazy people wear tinfoil hats. this is what we'll have to do if a cPu gets it's amazing high capacity intelleigent system and all of a sudden it decides it wants to be the master of humans because it will send out radio waves to kill us. or control us. so we have to be wise like these girls and wear tin foil hat. but the bit about transmitters is true. varying voltage/current across a wire. creates em radiation/signal. and a cpu if clever enough, could vary it's voltage/current in a specific way in order to achieve a certain signal that would effect other devices in certain ways.
  19. thanks for prompting me to look at he book again. it's always nice to look at my guyver books sho's words in the chuangyi version are "evolution management program" i find this very interesting. I think we can all agree that life on earth is very tailored to what the uranus wanted. humans do have an aggressive nature and are very adaptable. in many ways we are the equivalent of a pitt bull terrier. but we must not forget that at the very basic level, a pitt bull terrier is still a dog. I am pretty certain that if you leave a colony of pitt bull terriers in the wild and allow them to go free, eventually you will have something more like a grey wolf. it may take a long time but it will happen. one example of animals returning to their wild form is the goat. these animals return to their wild form very quickly. for life on earth.. since the creators manipulated life for so long, it is not easy for the life to evolve back to what it would have originally been. i would imagine it is like an ongoing conflict. an imbalance between peace and war? many humans if not most humans strive for peace and freedom in my experience. even in terms of natural selection... the agressive will die through constant fighting. the peaceful, the smart and the strong will survive.
  20. imagine this though... if a cpu is so intelligent and far surpasses our own intelligence, would that cpu be able to do things that we hadn't thought possible? an example. a simple wire connected to the cpu. if the cpu varies it's output and input in such a way, it could magnetize the wires and other things and send out frequencies and start to wirelessly control other devices around it.
  21. additional: if you throw 5 dice on a table and you require 1 six, then you can throw the dice many times and after time you will arrive at what you desire. you can get 1 six but the other 4 dice could be any configuration. if you take the dice and place them on the table, you can quite specifically place them with 1 six and 4 ones. which method do you think is more similar to how the advents likely came up with humanity?
  22. this gives me the impression that you are suggesting they controlled every single aspect of teh evolution. this suggests that they were godlike. but we know full well that they were not godlike. i fact they were frikkin' idiots. they 'manipulated' life for sure, by making mass changes to hte ecosystem and causing mass extinctions etc. sure they guided the evolution to get a species that was highly aggressive and adaptible. but they did not genetically engineer humans. humans came about in response to the environment. assuming guyver is based on the real earth, then we can't ignore the behaviour of earth life. we have seen that humans can be manipulated and essentially controlled into fighting a war. but we have also seen that this does not last long. because humans do not want to be controlled. eventually the system of control will break down. because life breaks free. i can't change your view if you view humanity as cattle. I see a lot more in people than that. i see a light in each individual. but that is my view, you have yours.
  23. good suggetion to split the topic toku warior. salkafar, I don't feel that you are actually disagreeing with me at all. it seems you are talking about other things when showing how you disagree with me. I never mentioned humanities will to fight in relation to the nature of humans. what i actually did was to refute your statement that both guyver show proof that humans will fight without hesitation. I also refuted your statement that humans basic nature is to be subservient. I did say that humans most certainly fit the requirements of living weapons. what i was saying is that human nature is to be free. and whilst humans fight, that much is true, humans mmostly fight to be free. look at world war 2 (specifically in europe) for your prime example. a beings nature, it's purpose is what it aims for. it's destiny. its goal. what it WANTS to do or be. to say that humans purpose is to be obediant to the creators, is like saying that black slaves were meant to be dominated in the 19th century. a slave by any other name is still a slave. and humanity is not meant to be dominated. humanity are meant to be free. and the guyvers reaction to human is very strong evidence to support that.
  24. to talk about manipulation and how it effects somethings nature. you can create dams, you can reroute rivers, but eventually all water flows to hte sea. it is the nature of water on land to flow to the sea. no amount of manipulation will change that. the advents may define their requirements for what they needed humans to be, but they cannot define the very nature of the lifeform. I had no intent to debate this, I simply responded to what you said to jerry. i was making it clear that you can argue with what you said. it seemed rather overbearing. if you wish to make a discussion out of it, by all means we can have a discussion in a separate thread.
  25. hi, I think the monkey is very cute.

people can disable comments on their profile. maybe that happened.
