let's all be clear just exactly what is being argued about here. from my perspective it appears rather petty. certainly not something to be getting so wound up about. darkguyver fan clearly expressed confusion about the discs in general. I believe bobby was simply offering some information, no matter what the nature of that information.

actually, the original used a rather ambiguous light source from above. which didn't make complete sense. the newer version uses the glowing orbs as a light source along with ambience. i think if i had wanted to spend more time on it, i could have made that light sourcing look mmore consistent, but i wanted to keep it simple.

don't worry about it, I only posted that for reference so you could see why i chose these colours this time. as for why i chose them back then.... the knowledge is no longer available having been obscured by the sands of time. hmm, if you think about it, there are similarities. a long haired guy who was a powerful good guy, something happen and turn him into a bad guy.

well here is the very first old version of this. it's the one that kenji preferred. the remade, high resolution original is the first post in this thread, you might prefer that

hey, i went and completely reworked the colours on this. a 20 minute job. kenji, I did this partly for your benefit. yes teh colours were pretty strong on the original. but imakarums proportions were inconsistent. so this one is better for that reason. it's a better quality image and now hopefully the colours are nicest.

ha ha, yeah i have looked at google translation sometimes. it's so odd, some of the things it comes out with.

isn't basketball primarily a boys sport? is it normal in the US for girls to do basketball?

today i purchased a video camera. it is being shipped from hong kong so it might be a while in arriving. I would like to work towards Vlogging. I'm pretty nervous about that though, so i think i will start off with videoing a few things i see on my travels and giving some commentary. it's like the next step, from photographing things. i often see things that i just want to grab a picture of. interesting things such as this baby - it was just sitting on the wall as i walked past. this brick - it was broken there when i walked past. this bike - that was parked as i walked past.

heh hehe nice drawing i would not cope with that.. I don't have a car XD

i think the first one is better. it has intensity.

it's an xbox game. look up a video. I wanted the game since i saw the first video, but for some reason, the shops near me didn't stock it.

call me Ryuki please i like the fact that they don't fold the phones into brushes... because quite frankly, that didn't make much sense. it would be terribly impractical to engineer something to work as a phone and as a magic brush. why not just have a magic brush and normal phone separately? or just have the phone able to work in that way. but to make it all work and also have it fold in half is a bit wacky.

i got majin and the forsaken kingdom. very nice gift, best i have had in years. I was confused at your posting time. wow, it seems i had always assumed the whole of the US was 8 hours after us. actually i had checked california. and gotten that number stuck in my head. not realising that new york, florida etc is only 5 hours. btw, somebody does hate larz for not being into pokemon. pikachu does. that little rat, he has a cache of weapons reserved just for people who don't like pokemon. keep your eyes open for that pikachu larz.

well if it was something like naruto, where filler is just that, filler, i would welcome cuts. but the extra material in dragonball z is not filler in my opinion. it's padding and character enrichment. the filler in naruto is just crap. it doesn't develop the characters, give them extra life, or serve any purpose to the story. it's the rusk in cheap burgers. seeing just exactly what yamucha was doing, getting some information on why he fell out with bulma, seeing what had actually become of lunch san, seeing exactly how gohan learnt so many important life stories, actually getting a real idea of how long the serpent path was.. this stuff is just so important, even if it wasn't in the original manga or whatever, I feel like they took the manga and made it 1000 times better. dragonball z the anime is like a full course meal. dragonball kai is like a bowl of ice cream.
-
wow... i thought it would be better to watch dragonball kai to remove the unneeded extra time in battles etc. but i can't believe how much quality story telling they have removed. like in DBkai, we see gohan basically go from screaming brat to survival expert in the space between an episode. they took out so much that really adds to his character. it's a travesty.

WOW! are you going to harvest any of them? I'd like to know about mushrooms. apparently a grand majority of them are safe and only a tiny percentage are lethal.

i can understand that attitude towards something. it is the same attitude that i had towards dragonball and naruto for so long. one day, when the 'popularity' has worn off, you may decide to look into it. the thing about pokemon is nothing to do with any monsters, the universe, the anime, the main character, whatever... it's about collecting. collecting is something that is very impulsive for us. i am pretty sure we all collect something and if we don't then we may want to and if we don't seem to want to, if we ever got a collection of sorts we would still find it satisfying. the interesting thing about pokemon is that you are aware that your collection can be improved. not only can you collect, but you can do something with your collection and get a sense of achievement from improving what you have collected. it's like collecting beat-up sports cars and working on them and turning them into race ready monster cars. I don't like pokemon. but i understand why people do. I have my own collection things.

passed on to me and probably some of you guys by bobby:- thanks bobby! oh man, I love this! the music... well it's power rangers! and i love the quips during the fight. that's what i used to love and seeing this.. it's like I'm watching the same program from all those years ago I'll definitely look forward to this. I hope the non fight scenes are just as good as the old days I want to see dodgy dorky gadgets and bright colours and in-your-face morals.

What live-action series are you watching or have you watched?
Jess♥ replied to Toku Warrior's topic in Japanese Entertainment
ah yeah, I remembered you had it. but i can't put DVD into my computer. no disc drive. if you can rip it, then that would be very handy -
salkafar, i hope you don't mind, i placed those images into a spoiler tag. i agree about the bayformers design being too complex. I actually think that complex design was a cop-out. it was a way to avoid having to make the transformation actually fit. nobody can look at optimus prime and determine wether his legs are too long to fit in truck mode or if anything else is out of whack. for me, that part is a big disappointment, because i always loved the concept of seeing where things went and how they changed position etc.

i haven't started it yet. I want to find a spare hour to watch some more yama onna kabe onna. still got those 2 eps to finish it off. been switching between dragonball Z and trying some new anime, the one called 'soremachi' is pretty funny. also obtaining abenobashi, and one piece. I want to see if i can manage to stick with it and catch up to you guys since you seem to be talking about it fairly regularly. AAAAANYway.. I'm not surprised densha otoko got such high ratings. I guess they have to first draw in the audience, then they have to remain consistent to keep the audience. I would say... otomen is fairly standard in terms of content. it's not amazingly special, but i like it because of the atmosphere. if you never saw it, I would actually say you haven't missed out on a lot. but it's hard to find something good that has the kind of atmosphere you would enjoy. some would have high ratings, but when i watch it, i feel depressed. -
a hot wash will likely cause shrinkage. 40 degrees is usually considered to be safe. but if you are really attached to them, I would recommend hand wash in lukewarm water. edit: by the way, happy birthday.
-
really? oh thats cool. I might consider asking them then. i got to make sure i got funds though, I don't want to ask them to come and then not go and see them.

good thoughts. I'll try that. thanks. actually the red would really improve the colour balance now that i think about it. to be honest when i did the background i had been working for over 7 hours so kinda in a hurry. edit: I'm not sure if i like it, but let's see what you think. if anyone wants to play with the original psd file, you can request it.
