i think i understand. it wounds like when you wrap it, you lift up the sides and twist the top? well anyway, this recipe sounds similar to a mix between sausages and pie. i think this would be fun to try. by the way, chinese leek, how would that be different from welsh leek? welsh leek is of course very easy for me to get. welsh leek is pretty much like a mix of garlic and onion but milder. I'm going grocery shopping tomorrow, i'll get the necessary ingredients for this and try it. oh yes, chicken powder... would that be dried chicken stock?

wow, very impressive! if you're willing to share, I'd like to take a crack at it.

there's no shame in it, we all make mistakes. your post hasn't been edited. unless it was a member of staff and that wouldn't happen.

i don't like to spend a lot of time cooking. not unless i know that the result will last for a good few meals. that's why i like cooking soup. anyway, when i say splash of oil, it's usually about 1 or 2 teaspoons.

i'm not sure how to describe tastes of things... suffice to say it was delicious! uhm, well it had a nice mix of highs and lows and a smooth texture. i think that sounds right. i don't think the type of mushrooms is too important. button mushrooms is what i used but most the other mushrooms i have tried would be the same. how would you normally cook vegetables?

a dialogue is a communication between two parties. it's how you communicate to your computer exactly what you want it to do and how, and the computer gives you feedback in the way of previews etc. it's a box with settings and sliders and numbers.

i don't notice that. but what i do notice is if the background looks like a stage prop, or if it looks like a real place that i could potentially explore.

nice one, I'll just post all the figures that i see in the blog that i follow. mgg kamen rider w and accel art works monsters - nazca

when you are in the h/s/l dialogue, you have a choice of adjusting different colour bands or the whole spectrum.
-
awesome stuff. you know, i could post a lot about kamen rider figures, but they are not SIC's. also, I do not think this thread belongs in the shopping section. i'll have to check the first post, but i do not believe this is about shopping, it's about figures?

oh! maybe i can help out here. it's just a case of using a hue/saturation/lightness adjustment layer and masking a few areas.

i think unicron transforming has about the same reasoning for all the other transformers transforming. at least in the terms of bayformers. a phone is a phone. why have it change into humanoid form? for whatever reason that seems to be the mythos michael bay has introduced. things get turned into humanoid for or near enough humanoid form to become weaponised and fight. with something like unicron... it would be a planet sized technology, that is transformed to fight. it would probably become something like a multi-legged battleship type thing. not necessarily humanoid form, but close enough to get away with it. and the large limbs would be used to fight against... is it primus? whatever that other large robot was that turned into cybertron.

I watched up to some point where there was a dog. and a building was burning i think. luffy had rescued some guy. some tough guy. it was only a few episodes. I didn't like the atmosphere, the backgrounds didn't have enough depth so i could net get a feel for the world. it felt very desolate, barren. I wondered if there is a point later on, to see if they fix that or if that is the style all the way through.

i think if there is no unicron then it would be a huge wasted opportunity. for many transformers fans who didn't follow any of the later spin-offs, unicron was the ultimate badass.

i wanted to share a recipe i just cobbled together. i bought 1 medium onion, 5 mushrooms, 1 small tomato, 1 courgette. i sliced the onion finely, and put in a frying pan with a splash of oil and cooked on a low.medium heat for about 5 minutes. then i crushed about a half teaspoon of cumin seeds and a cardamom and put those in with the onions. i peeled and chopped the courgette into small chunks about 5mm, put those in the frying pan and left for a further 2-4 minutes. i popped the stalks off the mushrooms and diced the tomato then put the tomato on top of the frying pan mixture without stirring. then i put the mushrooms in some dips in the frying pan mixture. if you put the mushrooms with the depression facing upwards and the cap down, then you can watch them until they fill with liquid. when they fill with liquid, turn them over and possibly stir the whole lot. cook for a further 5 minutes and it should be ready. edit, i should have also said, towards the end of cooking, sprinkle over about half teaspoon of salt as the courgette may suck in a lot of the flavour so it needs to be drawn back out a little

very nice. i love that guys face. transformers had faces.

awesome, i never heard of hunter x hunter. it sounds like a nasty anime but if it is by togashi then i think i will like it. it's got that nice light atmosphere, like tenchi muyo, naruto, dragon ball. it can be serious, but then on odd moments can be absolutely hilarious. i still remember kuririns first fight with jackie chun. so funny. hey, I know i turned away from one piece, but i was wondering is there some point in it, that i can come in later, not spoil too much, but get a good idea for how the show may have improved over the years?

What live-action series are you watching or have you watched?
Jess♥ replied to Toku Warrior's topic in Japanese Entertainment
that seems interesting. i don't like the feel of classical musics in shows, because it always seems 'stuffy' somehow. but i will take your recommendation as you have not steered me wrong yet. i got 2 episodes left in yama onna kabe onna and i'm dragging my feet now. I don't want to end another series. i started watching otomen that i mentioned earlier. I really like it. it's got a really nicely laid out atmosphere, the characters feel well rounded and there are a lot of different locations and scenarios. I feel there is plenty to explore. the relationships between the characters is really fun. -
head cha la, great stuff, although i still wonder what it is supposed to mean. anyway, wanted to let you know, i put on the first episode of tekkaman blade and hated it after less than 5 minutes. i gave it a bit more chance to improve but i realy don't like it. the atmosphere is not to my liking. so i put on the first episode of yuu yuu hakusho. brilliant, i love it. light and airy, witty and upbeat.

larz, food poisoning kills people so i wouldn't say it was too intense, since food poising is from bacteria or viruses. i'm sure you've heard of salmonella or e-coli. -- hope your dad gets better soon

i learned that he did the soundtrack for the metroid games. no wonder it is do good, I always loved the metroid games music.

I've been pretty sure for a while that magnetic field would bend light, but research tells me that was wrong. curse the source that told me that. charged particles, yes good one. that's what i meant, honest. well the thing about the borg is still good, but under different circumstances. a laser is pretty much constant. like, all the light beams are exactly the same wave form and pulse at the same speed etc. so if you get the frequency of it, you can filter it very specifically. but you would need something to actually do the filtering.

i confused myself. i don't know why i wrote that, I must have written half of what i had in my head. if your 'camera' is focused on any object like your kamen rider, then if the ash is close enough to the 'camera' to be that large, it will be totally blurred. but if it is a little further away then that is when it would be sharp if it is at all visible. i think my medium sized bits are wrong actually. anyway, I hope you read a lot of information about fires before setting a fire near your home. I happen to know a little about fires and i know that there are some important things. like you got to use a ton of water even after the fire seems to have gone out. because the ground can retain a large amount of heat. it would actually be better to build a pyre to put the fire onto to save it heating the ground. also, with a pyre, you can get air underneath the fire to increase oxygen and make it burn better. anyway be careful. well i think it wiser to just watch some film instead. like backdraft.

the most straightforward and easy to imagine type of barrier would be useful against light based weapons. imagine in star trek, the borg use energy barriers against energy weapons but cannot deflect physical blows. this is what seems most realistic to me at first. i say this because a strong magnetic field will cause an electric field to turn. that is how they fire beams around the large hadron collider. they use strong magnets to turn the particles into a large circle. the magnetic field, if strong enough would turn a beam of light completely to one side and so a laser beam would be deflected by said magnetic field. you wouldn't be able to see through it though. unless it was accurately timed to only activate when sensing an incoming attack. in terms of physical repulsion though.... I'm not sure how realistic that actually is. to repel mass, you need mass. the reason a shockwave works is because the speed of the particles will increase their momentum and thus their effective mass. to have that type of increased momentum indefinitely, the particles would have to be constantly moving, you're talking about a sustained explosion, which would need a lot of fuel. and also would need to be held in somehow to avoid constantly killing anything within radius. the type of technology to repel matter in such a way is tantamount to anti-gravity. i am pretty sure antigravity is worked on at the moment. I am not too clear on the theory involved, but there are youtube videos on it. i think i would be curious to study it at some point. a thought i had, static electricity will cause objects to repel each other. if you charge your body with static, your hair will stand on end because each strand is trying to get away from the others. if you can keep your body and another body statically charged, then each will repel each other. but that means a massive charge and that type of electricity would probably fry you when it discharges. well there's plenty here to think about. come back to me on this, lets get some discussion and it'll set my brain working some more.

hmm that would be wierd. but i won't listen to english dub anyway. yeah definitely will watch tekkaman blade. thanks for teh recommendation. also, surprised it is biological. unlike teh guyver, it doesn't look biological. unless it behaves similar to ironman's new 'suit'. anyway, here is one of the reasons i love dbkai. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S404RZBwEFw the music is awesome. the composer is very good, I really like this work, It reminds me of the composing work for ninpu sentai hurricanger.
