durendal Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Well, to be fair, Astroboy and Speedracer was one of the best animation during it's time. I also happen to like astroboy. It has drama that you wouldn't expect, particularly Atlas and that giant blue robot with a bigass horn that fights other robots which I forgot the name. 1 Quote
*guyverfan Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 U like Astroboy and Speedracer? Seriously? Dear lord, what was fed to U when U were a kid? But hey, a fellow Witchblade, Tekkaman Blade and Samurai X fan! did you ever get to see the live tv witchblade mini-series made with yancy butler? only went for 2seasons i think. hahaha, and hey, nothing wrong with original astroboy&speedracer mate, these were done in the 60's and reanimated in the 80's and they still leave many of todays animes for dead. pretty much each episode had a really strong message to put forward to its audience, really loved it and still regard it as one of the best animes ever made. Well, to be fair, Astroboy and Speedracer was one of the best animation during it's time. I also happen to like astroboy. It has drama that you wouldn't expect, particularly Atlas and that giant blue robot with a bigass horn that fights other robots which I forgot the name. bruton was his name, pretty sure the episodes were called 'the greatest robot in the world'.pt1&pt2. the fight scenes were awesome and the fight between bruton and borra in part2 was brutal. i jumped on the chance to buy the dvd collection when it first came available many years ago, and i still throw in an episode to watch every now and then. have to admit, i still find some episodes real tear jerkers. Toku Warrior Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 I've seen bits of the live action series of Witchblade but not all of it. And i just couldn't stand Astroboy and Speedracer. Another fav series for me is Outlaw Star. god, i wish I could own a Caster Gun. Quote

Aether Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 ofcourse, how can i forget ghost in the shell, watched and have both movies, awesome. have never seen the series though, any good? compared to the movies? if youre talking about the stand alone complex series and 2nd gig then both of them are awesome. I like that particular spin on the GITS world better than the mangas and the films. get it watched! Quote

*PrimalNemesis Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 (edited) Way too many to put in a concise list! I can tell you anything Guyver related I will instantly be interested in. The last couple of animes that I have actually followed through with are Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood and Hellsiing Ultimate. Lately I am more of a manga reader than an anime watcher. ¬./Anonymous¬ Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 (edited) I apologize for reviving an old thread but I really did enjoy Attack on Titan and Sword Art: Online. Edited November 29, 2014 by Anonymous Quote
durendal Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 I don't know if anyone ever mentioned Full Metal Panic before, but it's one of the best Mecha anime that I've seen. Hopefully they animate the rest of the novels. I so want to see the ARX-8 Laevatein in it's full action filled glory. Demolition Howitzer FTW!!!! Quote
*Kenji Murakami Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Here's mine, again in no particular order: Guyver: OAV series (both parts, since part two introduced Murakami and Aptom, two of my favorite characters) Guyver: 2005 series Fullmetal Alchemist Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (yes, I like both) Tekkaman blade (Teknoman, on UPN, was actually the first anime I ever watched; before I even knew what anime was, in fact) S-CRY-ED Escaflowne Bleach Sailor Moon Quote
