An awesome way to celebrate Christman is to watch a nice gory flick.

I see that the Predator Alien hybrid is in there as well. Looks good too, last time we have seen any of the franchises in a jungle/forest is the original Predator with The Governator.

This one is rated R first of, all the first one was rated PG-13 which is why it was water down.

This trailer is Red as opposed to being Green which basically means the trailer can be as gory as they want.

Same as that new Rambo movie...that trailer was the bloodiest i've seen yet...i mean honestly who uses a tank sized machine gun and kills a man point blank range...only could be Rambo

In Alien Vs Predator...the predator that was fighting beside that black chick was impregnanted with an alien and when it burst through his chest it just happend to be a hybrid of both species...i think the writers only done it to spice things up a bit...as none of the other humans that were ever impregnanted in any of the films hatched out a human/alien hybrid...its just one of those things where you dont ask why you just go with the flow....:twisted:

Actually the alien is suppose to be a hybrid of its host and the alien, at least partially.

This was shown in the comics, especially the original Aliens vs Predator comic which showed the aliens used on other worlds and becoming hybrids of the native life forms. Like on a Water planet they became part fish.

It was explained that was how they could adapt to virtually any environment and why they needed hosts. So they could readily adapt to a prey species environment.

In Alien 3 for example the host was a dog and the resulting alien was clearly different from the ones that had used human hosts, though still clearly alien in appearance it had some more animalistic traits.

Also this is why in Aliens 4 there was so much of a cross over between Ripley and the Alien queen that they had a hard time separating their DNA.

No problem, you should really read the Alien vs Predator Comic though, was way better than the film.

As for the film, as I said the third film shows this with the Alien that came from the dog host.

Why does the Alien look different compared to those in other movies?

It was established in Alien that the creatures inherit their host's characteristics. In Alien³ the alien comes from an animal host rather than a human one, so it inherits different characteristics and looks different.

Here's a nice list of trivia from Alien 3, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0103644/trivia

Which include the fact they had considered making the alien look like a puma, as well as other interesting ideas that never made it into the film.

The Comics just made the characteristic inheritance more obvious.

Being a big fan of Giger I wished they had used more of his designs for the latter movies. And I still want more information on the Space Jockey. I'll never rest until I know whether they had a trunk or a breathing apparatus.
