Yes, all you ravenous WG.com and Guyver fanatics out there, this warrior of purpose and strength, the Onyx Phoenix is officially a real old fart! The big thirty-four at last has come upon me (that's 34 for you guys who have trouble counting higher than one.) Feel free to drop comments and bad attempts at humor, if you desire. Just lets me know how much fun life is when you're one of the "senior" members of society (now that one hurt me!)

Ah. Censorship. It should be a four letter word. America's first amendment reads as follows: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances." Now sit down and read that sentence over and over again. Six or seven times. Go ahead, I'll wait. . . . . Done? Good. Pity it's already happened, and continues to happen. Radio, Television, News, all the time and all across the states. Oh they hide it with further censorship, they do. The Federal Commu…

Sci-Fi novels. We love 'em. We hate 'em. Sometimes we even sleep with them (or is that just me ) It seems to me there is a serious flaw in many Science Fiction books that always irks me. And that my lovely friends is overwhelming scientific complexity. Serious almost overwhelming scientific complexity. A Novel is defined as 'a fictitious prose narrative of considerable length and complexity, portraying characters and usually presenting a sequential organization of action and scenes.' Now that is a novel, whew... I feel winded just imaging it. An excellent example from an author I enjoy is Orson Scott Card. The novel Ender's Game, which I do suggest for anyone to rea…

I just got a copy of the newly released Witchblade series...i must say it is pretty interesting and fully charged with violence and of course all the suggestive meanings the Witchblade title is made of. They actually made it a bit different this time in that the whole concept is based on the Witchblade's cravings for battle and how its effects on its hosts emotions to the point the women get extreme pleasure (sexually charged of course) the more they fight. I won't spoil it but i think its definately worth a spot on your dvd collection. I believe the second volume is to be released in November at some point.

When lexcorp accidentally unearths the intergalactic serial killer Doomsday, Superman battles the creature head on in the fight of his life. . .literally. The world collectively mourns their fallen hero; humanity realizes it will never feel safe again. Superman's enemies rejoyce - all but Lex Luthor, who grieves the loss in his own demented manner, setting off a chilling chain of events that even he couldn't foreseen. IMDB.com Is anyone else looking forward to this animated movie? We'll finally get to see Superman and Doomsday duke it out the we never got to see the Justice League series!

Alright guys, trying to figure out the speed at which our galaxy moves for a part of the 95157 fic. Using that as a universal measurement of time. Here is what I have. Our location (Earth) is approximately 28,000 light years from the center of our galaxy. This gives us a diameter of 56,000 light years. A circumference of 175840 light years. (56,000 X 3.14) (One rotation) A web site I found http://www.pd.astro.it/E-MOSTRA/NEW/A5005MWY.HTM estimates at our lateral distance we travel at approximately 28 kilometers per second. So, one light year, 299792.458 Kilometers per second / 28 KPS = 10706.8735 seconds to reach one rotation. / 60 = 177.447 minutes. / …

Has anyone else watched this show on the USA network? The show is similar to Heroes (even though this show came before Heroes ) being about people with abilities. The season finale just aired and it was a pretty good way to wrap up the season. It's definately worth checking out.

I finally understand why critics gave this one a low overall score. IMO, easily the worst of the three films. There was far too much going on, nothing was ever really very deeply developed. Like always, the CG was amazing, and SOME of the fights were cool (NOT including the last fight...), but overall I found the movie very lacking. They tried to make you feel for Sandman... but really, not enough time is spent on him, and his case doesn't really mean anything to the viewer ( unlike Doc Ock in #2). And the final scene with him, reminded me of "Absorbing Dad" from The Hulk movie... just far too over the top, and corny if you ask me. Although Thomas Haden Church sure loo…
