  1. Don't mind if you do. Please. Spoil me. (remember to use spoiler tags, others might not want to know what happens)
  2. Just two words: SUIT UP!
  3. A younger person using -kun to an older person is a no-no. It shows clear disrespect and ignorance of the norms of society. The honorifics -kun can be used for both boy and girl. Also, maturity is not depicted in the honorifics, but rather on the grammar a person uses. Unlike in English where there is one correct grammar, in Japanese, there is the polite grammar, casual grammar and rough grammar. As examples stated below: Example: Where are you going? rough: Doko e ikun da? casual: Doko e ikimasu ka? formal: Dochira e irashaimasu ka? Technically, if you translate all of them in english, it all means the same thing, "where are you going". But the manner of speaking depicts the level of respect one person is portraying towards the other person.
  4. Yup, what she said. But to clarify things, the Japanese culture has this fondest notion of respect, and there are certain rules to follow regarding the signs of respect. The suffix -chan and -kun (well, mostly -kun) are only used by the elder to address younger people, and may be used casually if both parties are acquainted. the -kun may be used even if both parties are not familiar with each other, as long as the person using it is way older than the person he/she is addressing. The younger person usually address a person he/she respects with -san, and sometimes even -sama. Of course, -chan may be used if the siblings are really close, as often used by a younger sister to address her brother. Also note that although -chan is not considered as a feminine language, it is most often used by females. You'll actually be teased if you are a guy and calls you brother oni-chan. You'll be branded as having a brother complex.
  5. Only that they would be very close? the suffix -chan is mostly used when addressing each other on a personal level, like how a boyfriend and girlfriend would address each other. But that is not to say it is solely used by them. It's more like an affectionate calling. Notice how sometimes parents would call their children -chan. It's indicative of the level of respect between two people. The heirarchy would be something like: -chan < -san < -sama
  6. Yup, something like that. Japanese tend to have masculine and feminine words. Even phrases similar to "Like, hello" which leans to be more feminine. I don't think I've ever heard a guy say that. It's either from a girl or the guy is gay. Oh family relationships. In your case, the younger brother addressing his older brother would call him "Oni-san". "Oni-chan" if they're close, "aniki" if they were bros, and "Oniue" or "Oni-sama" if they are very formal and polite. "Kyodai" is simply translated as 'siblings'. If they really hated each other, they would simply call each other using their first names.
  7. Hey, don't spoil it for the king. As his wingman, it's my responsibility to make sure that he gets enough of the wild, hot, passionate and irresponsible coitus with no strings attached, and from those rated 8 and above. Here' s the plan, we go to the beach, and once we select a potential prey, I'm going to initiate a play that I would call "Sidestepped". I'll go up to the prey and be obnoxious in trying to pick her up. Once the girl shows signs of annoyance, the king will step in and shoo me away. Then the King can do his duty and sow his royal oats. It's the perfect plan, except, I'm half away around the world! Damn!!
  8. I just stumbled upon a new slang that teenage girls seems to be using these days. あげぽよ [Agepoyo] It's something like an expression similar to being excited. After a little research, I found out that this term originated from the phrase テン ションが上がる [TENSION ga Agaru], meaning getting excited/energetic. Using the verb agaru, it is sometimes shortened to あげ [Age]! Repeating this word あげあげ [ageage] doubles the expression. Adding the suffix ぽよ [poyo] gives emphasis to the verb. Hence, we get "Agepoyo" It's usage can be: あ! ガイバーが出ました! あげぽよ~! [Ah! Guyver ga demashita! Agepoyo~!] Ah! Guyver is out! I'm so excited! Note: This is a girls slang, so a guy using this would make him sound strange.
  9. I've been wondering how Chaos was has been. I didn't quite like the idea of Hercules being the top dog, but since I'm really bored at the moment, I'm thinking of reading Chaos war. I do hope it surprises me like how Shadowland surprised me. Also, DC doesn't seem to have any majore developments at the moment. The Brightest Day arc is running a bit too long. And I've heard about the Flashpoints and I'm getting curious about it too. But will this new arc tie up with Brightest day since I've never read a single issue of it.
  10. Yeah! Spring Breaks a coming! Time to get the old machismo oil boiling. Florida Girls are unforgettable, daisy dukes bikinis on top of sun-kissed skin, so hot, it will melt your popsicle!
  11. Well, you gotta believe in Magic. Just tell me how two people find each other, in a world full of strangers. Believe in Magic as it's something stronger than the moon above. And because it's magic when two people fall in love.

In some situations, all you need is time. When the wounds are still fresh, it is difficult to cope. But adding to what steel said, it depends on the acceptance level of a person. If the passive method doesn't work, then use shock therapy. But to help you with your situation, just think of how karma works. The worst situation you are in at the moment, the better things will turn out for you eventually.
  13. Of course. Whatever you want. We just need to identify the target, develop our game plan, and then execute for the kill.
  14. Dude, if we were in the same location, I'd be so your wingman! I'll drag you along going near a hot girl, tap her shoulders and say "Have you met the Banana King?" then leave the scene unnoticed. It's going to be Legen.... wait for it....DARY!!!
  15. Looks like Spiderman is still under licensed to Sony, so odds that this be linked to the marvel cinematic universe is highly unlikely.
  16. Well, I took the liberty of incorporating it with the guyver wiki. I think it needs a little more polishing, since I'm not sure if we are to focus on the Cronos website (current configuration) or simply put it as an external link (which by the way, will put it in the bottom of the page). I've put place holders for anybody to edit and add relevant information.
  17. So, do we link this to the main guyver pages or just leave it as is? If we do link this, I suggest we add a little more info about cronos.
  18. This is the discussion topic for the wiki article: Cronos
  19. You see, this is what courtship is for. It is like a testing period to see if two people get along enough to start a relationship. Don't mind about the fine print or whatever, just see how you two would be able to cope with each other as you go along. Of course you can't divulge every little aspect of your life in one go, it's how the other person will react when you give out a small part of yourself. This interaction is what gives you memories of each other, and in trying times, these are the memories that will save your relationship. Many young couples just hook up or get married too soon, only to realize they are incompatible with each other. These people are missing the deep understanding required to make a relationship work. But like I previously said, no relationship is a sure thing. It is a gamble and you need to have the initiative to make it work. I am not an expert in relationships, but I pride myself as someone who has managed to salvage and fix a few deteriorating relationships or two. Not to stray too much off of my original point, you cannot force two people together if their interaction together doesn't click. If you like someone, you can't force them to like you, but you can convince them, given the right circumstances that is.
  20. Made it to page 375 of Flesh and Blood now. :D Ah, been quite a while since I last took on this task. Anyway, enough being lazy and let's get down to business. "あいにく、なにも伝える事があるですがすでにわかる" ふたごとはなす。 "Ainiku, nani mo tsutaeru koto ga aru desu ga sudeni wakaru" futago to hanasu.

I think we all agree that Hollywood has this knack of twisting any franchise around as long as it will gain profits. Most of the scriptwriters are not that familiar with the franchise they are working on, thus, sometimes we get served with unwarranted changes in the movie. Even the marvel characters are no exception. However, given the track record of the recent films, I would say that Marvel is now starting to take care of their characters in a way that they are taking care of them in the comics reincarnation. I'm not quite familiar with the licenses that Marvel made with the X-men, but some of the marvel movies were made under license from Marvel, so Marvel really had no control over what happens to the movie. X-men first class seems to be an origin movie for the X-men, so I'm reserving my judgement of the film until I see it. I won't expect too much though. And lastly, I like Wolverine. But I hated the Hugh Jackman portrayal. Wolverine is short and Hairy. Hugh Jackman is neither short nor hairy.
  22. I think if it's your first time watching Dragon Ball Z, you wouldn' t mind the long filler animations that they make. In a way, it brings emphasis to the tension and pressure the characters are going through. But after you watched it again, that's where it gets to you. Especially when you are watching it once a week. I haven't seen the english version so I really can't comment on that. I haven't seen Kai as well so I can't comment on that either. But watching Dragon Ball Z was one of the most memorable experiences I had a decade ago. If you ask me to sit through the same thing again, I don't think I'll have the stomach for it.
  23. Ah, "cat out of the bag", I like the pun in that, even if it was not intended. I would still prefer to call it Japanese inspired instead of anime footage. Footage makes it sound like it was already done and your just re-using the same material. I really don't like using the word cartoon as a descriptive word, heck I don't even like to call Justice League Cartoon. I'm rather old fashioned and prefer to call them animation. Hey, it's a free world so we can call them whatever we want. However, I'm still reserving judgement for the new series until I see it for myself. So I take it that this is going to be a re-imagination? That concept seems to be used a lot nowadays. Looks like only Tron made a sequel to the old franchise.
  24. I think the term "Anime" is thrown into a lot of things without anybody even noticing what it really is. Okay, call me a purist, but Anime is basically a shorthand for Animation. Japanese have this habit of creating shorthand words for almost everything. So TMNT, Ben 10 and even Justice league, they are all called Anime in Japan. If anime is solely used for animation made in Japan, then why do we have Korean Anime? I think the misconception that everyone is having is the word "Cartoon". Cartoon is not animation. The definition of cartoon is a preparatory drawing for a piece of art. What you see in the comics section of the newspaper, that is a cartoon. That is why we have the term "animated cartoon". Emphasis on the word "animated". It's really frustrating to get into a debate about "cartoons vs anime" without really knowing the truths. Anyway..... Cool, a new thundercats animation! Although I'm somewhat miffed that they had to borrow influences from japanese animation. I loved the old thundercats. And even though they were animated by japanese, the character designs were American, and you can distinguish them from the oriental counterpart. This new series is like trying to be something that they are not.
  25. Something to ponder about: Don't you think the reason it flooded during the time of Noah was because he cut down all the trees to build the giant ark?
