Ok done with Emoji's for the weekend. Got a huge amount fixed and uploaded there. I'll look at this some more next weekend along with why the auto-correct isn't catching cuss words any more like it used to. There is a decent change past posts will be affected by next weeks changes to emoji's. E.g will possibly be no longer a cat but a normal smiley. We'll see how the changes go but changes will be happening.

On the look into list.. in the past if you cursed on the forum it used to auto correct it out... Sooo will have a look into that later after the Emoji's are sorted.

ok some of there are very funny. I can see why you missed them Tora Tan FYI some of these are broken each time I upload new ones. It looks like a few have the same names and that is causing issues. I've figured out a fix it just takes time. But we're getting there. I'm also going to upload some really old WG.com ones we'd before the board was hacked for Transformers and others we'd back then if I can find them!.

I think I found a store Jess made that is no longer online... more incoming.... The Database was upgraded to allow more Emiji's! 🥳 There was sooo many Monkey ones it timed out the server getting them uploaded... Others will follow over the weekend.

I've updated the layout of the Forum. Some forum sections have been given new icons. I've had to delete the Desert Theme as it was out of date and couldn't find a current version of it that supported menu's (the bit at the top of the forum). At the moment I'm sticking with the default Theme as simply put, it's updated as the forum updates.

Yeah, I've moved the topic to the zone where it should be for such language and the topic itself on a si fi / anime forum. and yeah I thought the same on cussing... it used to auto correct that... another thing to look into this weekend.

Note to anyone on this topic. Any kind of "ohh this is not dangerous because of X" nonsense from this point on will see a harsh response. There is a guy on Facebook making his own Guyver facemasks. Not sure how functional they are but they look cool.

Giving you guys a heads up, over the next month or so there will be some updates done to the other 2 sites (wg.com and theguyver.net). Links between the sites might get a little dodgy. In Japan Legend I plan on archiving any content older than 5 years to the Archive section of the forum unless it is a current topic / still important. FYI nothing will be deleted, just moved.

Ok it has been a hard few years on the fiction. 1st - The website needed modernization and past plans had gone to shite due to tech moving on. Good news here is for the most part this is done. The heavy lifting is out of the way and the website is fully running. 2nd - Matt, Paul and I meet roughly every second weekend. We always discuss the website even if it doesn't look that way. We've come to the realisation over time that the fan-fic and what has been said... done etc story wise simply doesn't work. In a strange way Takaya stopping the Guyver story at first fecked us over as we didn't want to go on without the master. But over the last few years 2020 especially has made us realise it is time to move on without him. So we've our plans for how the fan-fic is going to go.. events will take shape that basically change thing so they work for us... not going into heavy spoilers here but it will make sense certain events when you read them if you take the above into consideration. 3rd. We've never explained how organisations like the ACTF came into existence... it's just there somehow... Or how does Fulton Balcus (the Zoalord from the first live action movie) really fit into the comic universe... He doesn't but in our fan-fiction he does. So that is another thing that needs to be explained. Sooooo what does this mean for you guys / gals who read the story: 1) the fiction is effectively been restarted. the 1st story will focus on the life of Fulton Balcus up to and before Union of the Guyvers. A new timeline will go up later to explain things. 2) there will be some new stories based on events never told before within the fic. e.g. how was the Turbo Unit discovered? Where did Alkanphel find his unit? How did General Carter become the leader of the ACTF? How does Guyver 2F fit into the story? 3) We an't dead... ! 4) Fan voted characters will be in the fiction from pre Union of the Guyvers story wise.. All appearing in the new first story which will span 5 parts.

Interesting, yeah should be doable as they are there, it's probably centre around the organisation of them correctly. I can see the old ones from the original Warrior Guyver board for example when I click on the smiley button. I'll let you know when I've a chance to tackle the site as there are some other updates I plan to put on the board. Apart from Instagram (which I use, so I'll be targeting that) are there any other media / social links people would like on their profiles?

I'm not sure, but if I can find them I'll put them back in. Are talking Japan Legend or TheGuyverNet for these?

The new version of the message seems to be running ok and I managed to clear the cache file that had grown to 1.3gb. The Chatbox is back! Lets see if the website reports anything strange over the next few days.

I don't think things are totally fixed yet... working on it.

There has being some issues with the message board (part of the Database is 15 times what is should be so the ISP keeps turning off theboard). As part of the fix to this I've upgraded the messageboard, which has turned off the chat box... it will be back later.

I'd this moment awhile back. I was sitting in work one day WAY back over 10 years ago covering a guys holidays with a lot of nothing to do for 2 weeks. No TV etc in the office surrounded by other work people I got back into the Guyver back when all I normally did was play World of Warcraft. After reading my fan-fics for the first time in years again it bought happy memories but also the realisation that what I did before wasn't factually correct and flawed due to it (e.g. a Gigantic only being twice as powerful than a Guyver in every way and a Warrior Guyver being twice that...) For me (and for the wider team that do the fic) we'd to make some hard choices. Not just because of power levels, but because once you noticed you make flaws you start seeing the other flaws that you normally in mind just gloss over. The trick here is not to lose it and write off your old work. Find what you love, what you like of the story and remind yourself of the end goals that will bring more of that back to you. Then start again at what should be the true foundation of your story. Also a must, find a friend of yours (or more) that like Matt said you can chat with about the story and bounce ideas around. The old WG fan-fic did have this but todays tech (Skype) means this is a lot easier to do and with a lot less costs of the 2000's and not in text form but voice.
