I don't understand why Guyver doesn't do so well
(you know this as your there) In Japan it's supported by a large number of other comics sold with it's monthly distribution. It's kinda hard for western fans to vision it but in Japan if you buy a monthly comic you have to buy a huge book like thing with countless other stories there. Keeping them any length of time isn't really an option as they are huge so if you want to keep your copy of Guyver you have to buy the yearly book. If not for that I don't think Guyver would have survived as long as it has.

NEW GUYVER MOVIE (MAYBE)
Lets hope it works out, considering the current climate of DC and Marvel a very good and well done Guyver movie would be a great rival franchise if done correctly.

I don't understand why Guyver doesn't do so well
The problem with Guyver is like everyone has said... it is slow. I've being away from it pretty much a whole year, and barely a book has being covered. Aside from that I feel 2 things have haunted Guyver when it tried to branch out: 1) Bad timing. The first 2 live action movies should have never being made -> Overall their scope was too small due to having to budget their special effects, the zoanoids too basic and they turned the series into karate super suit... so much so Sean's first exposer to us is in a dojo. The effects of the time these movies were made did not suit what ultimately we as Guyver fans would want. Ever since book 8 the Guyver story for the last few decades is based in a world Chronos controls. Ideally for a movie to be a success it has to deal with X Day and not be afraid to do it Empire Strikes back style and have the good guys get the asses kicked. 2) Don't be afraid to branch away from the manga. As everyone as pointed out, the story moves at a snails pace. One series = almost 8 books. Don't stick to the story like glue. The Live Action movies and the first OVA done something right, they tried to break away from the cast and story of the manga. If someone wants to do a detailed series they need to do the same, no content = a forgotten story. If there is some of their own originality in the story, as long as it's thought out well it gives them the ability to continue with content without having to wait for Takaya.

Remember When?
Sorry guys, but in some way I feel responsible for letting the site slip. But in the end time marches on. My real life is hectic at the mo, my attic is being converted as we speak and soon I'll have my den back and space I can finally work in and do some fun and finally have a place to put and paint Guyver models!

Can anyone help me identify this Guyver piece?
I have this myself, there are a few of these and also include a Guyver 1 head. It was once of a series of near life size model heads done I think for Wonderfest. You see them the odd time on Yahoo.jp for sale. It's a very nicely detailed peice. I'll finally be painting mine with my attic being converted and me finally having space!

Guyver July 2014
Great chapter, I love the ending. This slow build up looks like it will be very rewarding next month

POLL; WHO IS APOLLYON?
Imakarum, every event from the moment he was re-awakened hints to it. Takaya also isn't the type of writer to lay seeds of a story and then go against them without reason.

How many people could the Ark house/hold?
I think it was answered in the un-offical data file... but the question would be how cannon that is?

Guyver May 2014
What you raised there durendal was what I wondered as well when I read this last night. Short but interesting chapter. The way it read was like as if Sho was being asked permission by Aptom to access his bio-energy. Which begs the question of if this goes both ways? Are the Guyver's powers also enchaned?

Guyver May 2014
Thanks Cannibal! I'm looking forward to reading the lines between Aptom and Sho when the group gets a chance to translate I do hope Takaya's age isn't catching up with him or he is sick at the mo. While he's done breaks in the past it's being a long time since he's done a decent lenght chapter. Maybe it's time he accpted help from another good manga artist that can mimic his style very well?

PIN DROP*
Things are continuing slowly for me. About mid way through re-writing Revenege at the moment and enjoying having the chance to explina things properly in the story. Warrior Guyver 2 is turning into a heavy re-write and I've being going into that worlds verson of a character quite a bit. I've decided to also expand on Taylor Smith, simply put don't be insulted when you read this guys warped view on of the world of the Guyvers. He's turning into quite the asshole.

Guyver February 2014
Yup I went on a tangent with the Alky line, basically for me I wouldn't mind if the story switch to him. There is a lot of unanswered questions about him to me and how he would react in what we view a normal social situation. saying that, I really want to see the 3 way battle come to conclusion a note on the Gigantic, Sho was unconscious throughout that experience where he sensed Mitzuki was in danger. He's never since shown that ability again.

Guyver February 2014
Could be simple mind reading, he's the Alpha creature of the Uranus, he might not be able to control humans easily but can read their minds and learn from them if needs be. Bulcus did feel compelled so something is is there already to show he has some level of that ability.

Guyver February 2014
I've a bad feeling Enzyme just called it Joking aside, even if that was the case it would be very interesting as what exactly is the oldest (I'm no longer counting Waferdanos any more as he's dead) / most powereful zoalord going to say to modren humans? Has he ever interacted with humanity at all over the last 400 years? Would the siblings be the first humans he's actually met himself in over 400 years? As it always being with people pre selected by Balcus to become the zoalords?

Latest Guyver story (Spoilers ahead)
I don't think it would work. Valcuria's control medal is man made. If she suffered the same fait as Sho she'd be dead. Her Unit after all is failing and that's without the extra strain of trying to modify or control a Gigantic.

Latest Guyver story (Spoilers ahead)
Yup, we got to see a huge back story to Valcuria, the adopted sister of Oslwad the Guyver 2.

Changing service providers
In the coming month to 3 months I'll be moving WarriorGuyver.com to a new hosting site. The reaosn being the new hosting sites offer is less than 1/4 that of what I'm paying for this site to run right now and offers more.... it's a no brainer and for me as the guy who pays for the site a must. When I have a more fixed date I'll let you all know.
