  1. Yes, 10,000 kilotons (10 Megatons) is for the combined full double Giga Smashers. Standard Smashers are now estimated at 50 kilotons per smasher cell, while the Gigantic (at 100x) is 5 megatons per smasher cell. For the laymen, the reason for the insane energy levels is because the beam has to be powerful enough to vaporize stuff very quickly as the beam doesn't last more than a second when fired. Like in the anime when the outside of the building is shown getting blown away as the beam shot into the sky had a duration of less than a second. And it takes a heck of a lot of energy to vaporize everything in a beam's path like the smasher are shown consistently doing. Lower energy levels would just blow stuff up and scatter them but you need atomic energy density to instantly vaporize stuff, add the wide radius of the smasher beams and the energy levels quickly ramp up. Besides Takaya admitted Godzilla was his inspiration for the Mega Smashers and Godzilla's fire breath is atomic
  2. To highlight why I said the Exceed is light for its size. 6900 versus 2690 is a big difference in weight and generally speaking objects get denser as they get bigger as otherwise they will start collapsing under their own weight. A human at 52 meters tall for example at same density would just collapse like a water balloon under their own weight. The Gigantic doesn't seem to follow this rule however and not only is less dense but is more powerful. Take Godzilla, one of Takaya's sources of inspiration, when it first appeared it was about 50 meters tall and weighed about 22,000 tons. Or the other inspiration source Ultraman, who at 52 meters weighs over 26,000 tons. Look at giant monster after giant monster (or Mecha) and it quickly becomes apparent Takaya made the Exceed a real light weight. As your own calculations show the Exceed is less than half the mass it would be if the mass/density ratio to its volume had stayed the same as it does for the normal Guyver. And that's not counting the increased volume of the Gigantic like the shoulder pods, etc. Just compare the body proportions of the Gigantic to host unit and you can probably easily push that estimate to well over 7000 tons. Though as you noted the Gigantic is already less dense to begin with. This is part of why I concluded that the Gigantic and thus the Exceed are probably mostly filled with energy so it's not as dense as it should be for its size but the energy compensates, otherwise it would be hard to explain how the Exceed has proportional abilities and can stop a normal Purgatorium with just its open palm (the energy can also explain the color change btw)... An interesting side note... I looked up proportional size to mass scale for primates and it turns out the normal Gigantic weighs as much as a Gorilla would at the same height.
  3. And what would the normal Guyver's Weight be increased to Exceed size?
  4. Read more carefully please, I never said they were capable of teaching. I only said they are capable of passing on knowledge from one generation to the next, which they do by mimicking what they see. It's just not consistent and not done on purpose like we do. And I only stated we can teach them. As your own quote pointed out the key word was "Routinely"! We teach our young on purpose and all the time, chimps just have to fend for themselves and learn it by example and hope they copy it right unless they got a human to teach them. One of the points about the difference in memory was the fact we are built to teach and learn. While chimps usually have to figure things out for themselves, which is why they are better than us at pattern memorization. Other than that good link...
  5. It's because of volume, take for example one standard die (as in dice). We’ll assume that it’s a perfect cube at 1 inch by 1 inch by 1 inch in dimensions. It therefore has a surface area of 6 square inches, and a volume of 1 cubic inch. (As you know the surface area of each side is calculated as length x width. Each side therefore has a surface area of 1 inch x 1 inch or 1 inch^2. There are 6 sides, so the total surface area is 6 x 1 inch^2. The volume is length x width x height, so the volume is 1 inch x 1 inch x 1 inch or 1 inch^3.) To double the dimensions of a single die, we’d need 8 dice. We’d need 2 dice to double the length of a single die; 2 dice to double the width; and 2 dice to double the height. So, to make a cube twice the size of a single die, we’d need 2 x 2 x 2 = 8 dice. The surface area of this new die would be 2^2 x 6 square inches = 24 square inches, and its volume (of course), would be 2 x 2 x 2 = 8 cubic inches. You’ve probably noticed that the surface area/volume ratio of the original die is 6:1, while the surface area/volume ratio of the new die is only 3:1. If we keep making bigger dice, the amount of surface area relative to volume drops dramatically as the dice get bigger. So, as things get bigger, their weight (which is a function of their volume) increases dramatically faster than does their surface area. This has a number of important consequences. Not least of these is that if you double something’s size and keep its proportions the same, its weight doesn’t double or even quadruple – it increases by a factor of eight! Apply this to the Exceed and it quickly becomes apparent that it is extremely light for its size and as you noted even the normal Gigantic ratio is lighter than the normal Guyver. Substantiating that much of the Gigantic structure is just filled with energy and is why it collapses if it uses up too much energy and auto-deactivates. This is why I mentioned Godzilla, who at a similar size would weigh in multiple of tens of thousands of tons (think walking battleship). Even Khan's Dragon Lord form is a bit light for its size. Though this does offset the need for the material an object is made up of to be stronger along with the size increase to offset the increased mass. A Giant Ant (Like in the monster movie Them) for example in real life would weigh as much as a tank and would be crushed by its own weight.
  6. Brains can rewire themselves and heal to an extent but a lobotomized brain stays lobotomized! The bone may heal but they will never be the same without help. If the bones aren't put back into the right place and given the Resources and time to mend properly then they will mend the wrong way and the person will be crippled. See the difference? Just having the capacity to regenerate doesn't mean an organism can necessarily fix itself and the more complex it is the harder it gets to fix itself. And it doesn't get much more complex than a CM.
  7. I don't agree with putting chimps under the homo genus category but it is true that they are remarkably like us. They in fact are capable of learning and passing on knowledge from one generation to the next, as well as use simple tools. We can even teach them simple sign language and they can count and do simple math to the extent they are about equal to a young human child in most mental capacity. Where they excel is in pattern recognition, unlike humans chimp brains can practically instantly memorize a given pattern like sequential numbers and their location. So for test like flashing a series of numbers and then having you remember how they were layed out the chimps will always outperform the human because our evolution sacrificed that ability in exchange for more social interaction capacity for things like learning language, etc. A human child for example is more prone to mimicry than a chimp, like a test with a see through box. A human child will continue to do the useless steps shown to open the box while a chimp will go straight for the prize. This makes us better at learning from adults but shows that we evolved certain ways of thinking different from similar species. Genetically chimps are very close, in fact many scientist even believe it is possible for a hybrid of human and chimp to be born. The famous Humanzee was actually thought to be a hybrid until DNA tests proved otherwise. But it was remarkable how human like it was. Socially chimps perform many of the same social interactions we do, on a basic level of course. They even form war parties to go out and kill other chimps from other groups and they use meat for trading in favors, like for sex, etc.. So we can see the similarities but I disagree that they are close enough to be put into the same genus as us. But I agree we should respect all life more, needless suffering is just cruel, but we also have to be practical about it as well as I'd rather sacrifice a chimp than another human. Even though some humans may deserve it
  8. In my opinion... We aren't entitled to anything! Really, this is old wisdom... Just look at how many religions put pride/ego as a sin? But like a lot of old wisdom no one really uses it and are too busy making up their own rules to life. Everything we have since birth is a gift but what we get out of life is something to be earned just like life itself has to be continuously earned. We aren't entitled to be happy, it's something we have to both choose to be and have to earn. Otherwise we wouldn't want or need things or activities to make us happy. Being entitled to something means you don't have to work to get it but there are few things in the world that exist without some sort of price. Just like survival, we need to earn food and comfort. Happiness doesn't come free either and in the end is just a state of mind to which we instinctively desire to achieve but is nothing more. So I believe the meaning to life is to experience life in all its complexity and so in the end life is its own meaning. I do believe the world suffers from a distinct lack of empathy, people all over the world for example don't seem to think that we're all connected and live on the same planet. Every problem of the world belongs to someone else and not them! But this is part of human nature, like Romans have honestly noted the people are of the mob mentality. This is why simple distractions work in keeping people from making needed changes. We may individually be good people but as a society we break down to raw instincts and desires. And only with great effort, usually pushed by the guile of the few, does anything really get done. Like how often does it require people dying before action is taken to stop or prevent a threat that everyone saw coming? More often then not things have to be real to us before we take them seriously. Like the lack of empathy at hearing about the deaths of thousands versus the empathy of hearing about the death of someone you knew. Personally I've always been very empathic, I don't even like to watch reality tv shows because I can't stand watching people make fools of themselves. I take no enjoyment at watching others suffer and even in a fight and through the adrenaline pumping rage I can never bring myself to really hurt someone else even though my instincts are like everyone else's to cause harm. Though I'm not deluded into thinking I'm incapable of violence, we all are, but the thought of hurting other people actually scares me and that is usually enough to keep me from losing all control. Perhaps if more people were like that we wouldn't have as much bloodshed in the world, violence is unfortunately addictive once you start and so it is hard to stop, but I don't believe there is any simple solution as people aren't simple. We just got to start thinking more of each other than just ourselves all the time... End rant!
  9. A reasonable question... to which I counter can your bones repair themselves without help? Like puting them back in the right place, keeping the limb immobile, drinking lots of milk, etc... or can your brain repair itself from brain damage? Simply being organic just means the potential for repair is there but the more complex the organism the harder it is to repair.
  10. As I see it the Host and Unit are basically hybridized into a single new life form, it's why the Guyver remains proportional to the host for example. Ever seen someone wearing full body armor and noticed how proportions ratios change the thicker the suite? Like Ironman had stubby fingers, etc. Distance between joints, etc have to increase with size/mass increase or mobility gets effected for example as there is no room for the excess mass unless it's properly layed out. For the normal Guyver the host is instantly remodeled, non-essential organs are regressed while others are either replaced or augmented to be superior than original. The organism merges with the bones and muscles and infuses them with energy, assumably to make them stronger, but it also increases cellular growth/mass, which basically means the bones get denser and the mucle mass increases... meaning the unit instantly makes the host peak condition regardless of host original state. So saying the host remains the same as the Guyver is like saying that Banner is the same as the Hulk. That said, there is a difference between host in terms of leverage and mass. But like competing athletes the differences aren't great and thus a fight between any two Guyvers would get very intense before a clear winner comes out on top. And like any weapon it depends how it is used to how effective it is. . . The Female Guyver may indeed be faster and have less overall physical strength but in terms of fighting power that may balance out as the greater speed also means more momentum in her punches and kicks. So it may even out... For the Gigantic it appears the merger is similar to the host unit, so the host gets further modified. The structure of the Gigantic is also suggested to be a result of infused energy, the loss of which is probably why the Gigantic auto deactivates when it uses up too much energy. So in addition to rapid mass increase by turning energy directly into mass for insanely fast cellular growth the cellular structure of the Gigantic appears to also be almost balloon like as it fills up with energy. It can at least be noted that while growing into the Exceed the Gigantic energy amps did balloon a bit as they filled up with energy from the continuous energy siphon... The significant percentage of the Gigantic being raw contained energy can be noted by the fact the Exceed isn't as heavy as a 52 meter tall Gigantic should be, just compare to how heavy Godzilla is and the Exceed is pretty damn light in comparison... The main interesting thing is the CM also grew, so that suggests the CM isn't just an artificial object but may be a living device as well. The Female Guyver is an artificial unit however, so we don't know yet if she rates as a full fledged Guyver yet... But the differences in her appearance is most probably due to the fact that as a female her body proportions are different to a males. The smashers for example may be the same size but the smaller torso just makes them stand out more. We also have to take into consideration that the unit works off the host characteristics, so the physical shape could be cosmetic representation of the host overall body type. But suffice it to say there are a lot of gaps in our information, so we may have to wait for additional information to be provided before we can be more sure of any conclusion.
  11. A Guyver still has a human brain, which needs oxygen. So that much remains the same but we don't know how self sufficent the unit is. . . What we do know is that the Unit has super efficient lungs located at the base of the neck and the neck tubes are what extract oxygen from the environment, even if that environment happens to be underwater. The face vents are basically exhaust vents that expell bodily waste (at time of unit activation anyway) and excess heat. So the Guyver if nothing else can probably get along with very little oxygen. We just don't know whether it can survive for prolong periods in total vacuum. Though we do have the example of G3 hitching a ride through the boost dimension without any protection and he didn't seem winded at all when he returned to normal space but we don't know how long he was in there and whether the energy there (it's where the Guyver siphons its energy from) factored or not. Though I believe it said somewhere that the Gigantic (perhaps the Cocoon part) has an air supply, which being part Relic makes sense but we don't know any specifics to say anything for definite. I suspect though that the Guyver doesn't really need air but uses it because it's more energy efficient than making its own, but that's just my opinion. Ditto with whether Sho will remain young, we simply don't know enough yet to say anything specific. Though it has been found out that the unit places something inside the cells of the host, possibly what allows the instant transformation, but could potentially mean the host may have been altered in some fundamental way. Like with the telepathic organisms on the back, which of course are organic and would need to work with the host physiology. Though you are probably right that the unit may need to be active to have an effect but regeneration alone could keep the host from getting old, though that doesn't mean the host won't still reach normal maturity before aging slows to a stop. But that is all just speculation at this point.
  12. He means Japan-Legend, it was about just over a week ago largo and it got translated and typeset within the same week.
  13. It's always good to remember that despite our differences we're all still the same species (male/female and every color). Reasons for the lack of female optimization are more likely due to philosophical reasons than biological ones in my opinion. Biologically speaking we all start out female and only develop into males as the fetus develops. After all both sexes carry at least one copy of the X chromosome. Not to mention tales of werewolves and such were not limited to just males, if we are to indeed attribute zoanoid heritage to the source of such legends as suggested in the Guyver then it should be noted many of those legendary creatures were also female. So I believe it's Chronos mentality, after all except for Guyot and Imakarum most of the zoalords predate the woman's movement
  14. Uh, a bit misleading... Y Chromosome changes can be traced from father to son, so you can trace who was your great great great great great grand father but mitochondrial DNA can only be traced from female lineage and you need both for the complete picture of your family tree.
  15. As I understand it the Gigantic has the ability to channel and manipulate gravitational energy. The energy is first channeled from the 3 Gravity Control Orbs, through the 12 Gravity Amplification Crystals and then focused for various uses. Through the knuckles provides the Gravity Knuckle (Previously known as the Power Punch) and similarly it can be channeled to form a powerful protective EM barrier, which since the energy is being channeled can be directed either around the Gigantic or projected to contain something like how the Exceed protected that building. The hands after all have the focusing elements normally used to produce the pressure cannon, so not much of a stretch to produce the barrier shield through the same mechanism. I use to think the spikes on the shoulder pods were part of the shield system but they are now officially labeled as Gravity Stabilizers, so would logically seem to be more important to flight. Though they were also used, along with the chest spike, to help fire off the mini-black hole by the Exceed. So also help control gravitational fields apparently.
  16. More Spoilers... Story to date... The reporters visited Sho and company at their home and tested Sho's resolve to fight the good fight... Appylon (the Destroyer-aka Dark Knight) has teleported onto the Ark and made his way to the inner chamber containing the three Zoacrystals of the Fallen Zoalords (Purg'stall, Yentsei, and Waferdanos) and confronted Zoalord Caerleon, who was guarding the chamber... Appylon revealed he has Zoalord like mental power and his presence was so strong it even effected Caerleon for a bit but he broke free and transformed, knocking Appylon out of the chamber and confronting him outside the chamber. Caerleon then locked the chamber with his frequency, locking it in another dimension and then split into three copies of himself. Each equal to the original and intangible to attacks... Comments?
  17. Well there is definitely enough of his past to work with to make many, many, many movies
  18. Well, when it comes to life and death there is rarely room for much gray... The next movie may confuse some viewers though... Two Actors who apparently died in this one are still contracted to do the next movie!!! But the exact details won't be revealed until the next movie is ready for release in 2-3 years from now.
  19. Re-estimate started when it was stated in the Manga that two Giga Smashers clashing over the city would produce enough collateral plasma discharge to destroy the city... Remember just countering Neo-Zektole's 1 million degree heat beam caused enough plasma discharge to send Purg'stall into the hospital and he was still miles away from the battle. So even with most of the beam energy countering each other, enough energy has to bleed out to still be able to destroy the city and that's a lot of power. The 10,000 kiloton estimate was a conservative estimate for the standard smashers, but with the above consideration for plasma discharge I also had to take into account having enough power to damage a Relic right through its shield even after it had been refracted around Archanfel and traveled a number of miles before striking. I also took more into account how much energy it would take to disrupt even a virtual black hole. Not to mention the constant referals to the fact the Gigantic was created to take on Archanfel and we know Archanfel is powerful enough to destroy a small planet. At least he was when he was at his peak and considering he is still the most powerful Zoalord then that level of power also has to be taken into account to consider how the Gigantic could ever defeat such a being. So I went to the other end of the conservative estimate for equating the Mega Smashers to an Atomic Bomb like blast (range is 10 to 50), which is what I believe Takaya was basing the power level on, along with the Godzilla inspiration he officially admitted to. So the estimate for the Guyver Mega Smashers are now 50 kilotons per smasher for the normal Smashers and since the Giga Smashers are 100x, they become 5 Megatons each... For a total of 10 Megatons maximum firepower. So even if a fraction of that power is deflected then it becomes enough to destroy a city. Additionally this brings the Exceed Smashers closer to the energy level required to also destroy a small planet, though believe it or not it still falls short of Archanfel's. Though it does help explain how the Exceed could create a mini-black hole attack... The amount of energy required is truly enormous. Just remember everyone, those are just my estimates and are just to be applied to the Chronicles version of the fan fic. If it's not in the official data file then it isn't official!
  20. There's about a Million or so ships total Dreadnought was facing... But an Exceed gets proportionally more powerful. Also Dreadnought is about 30% taller than a normal Gigantic to begin with, so while a Gigantic Exceed is 52 meters tall, a Dreadnought Exceed would probably be closer to 68 Meters Tall. Exceed could stop a Mega Smasher like beam with just its palm and could withstand multiple hits from Bio-Missiles capable of leveling entire city blocks without its shield, so Dreadnought Exceed would be pretty much unstoppable.
  21. Grakken's technology is second only to the Creators. . . So it's possible, after all Archanfel doesn't have full access to Creator technology and he not only resurrected Murikami but turned him into Imakarum to boot. But the question would be was there enough of him to save? Or did they just want an autopsy so they could learn more about this form of Creator weapon?
  22. Hmm, nah, he seems more like BAOH. Created by the company he ultimately turns against... Generators seem more like a cross between Zoanoids and Tekkaman Blade.
  23. No that's the official version, as in Manga information official. Notice the lack of certain specific information like Strength? Manga never specified that! I might add a DF for the original fic later but it won't be much different from the original estimates, as we can't change the specs without changing the story too and we can only do that for Chronicles.
  24. Don't worry Porject: Undying, you'll get the hang of the board soon enough Topic moved to Science Lab Forum! . . . Even though this topic really doesn't deal much with science, alternate Guyver hosting and the T-Virus does put it under here. Now everyone, feel free to discuss and don't mind if it gets a bit crazy.
  25. Okay, here's the DF's for the Gigantic... Chronicles Version, minus a graph feature and the Exceed as we're still not sure whether to use that feature. Official Version
