Yup, Ryuki is right, though a light saber won't burn through all materials instantly (we've seen them have trouble with certain thick armored doors for example) it still breaks down to energy sword versus physical matter sword and the HFB will lose that battle. In a three way Adamantium would handle the light saber better than the HFB, since Adamantium can withstand intense heat, thus it would be highly resistant to raw energy. Like Ultron's bragging of being able to survive within the core of a Star, etc. versus Guyver Bio-Armor, which though very heat resistant too can't survive those kind of temperatures.

Metals are pretty dense to begin with, here's a link comparing the densities of different metals. http://www.coolmagnetman.com/magconda.htm Gold for example is about 19.32x denser than water but it's a soft metal. Longer list, http://www.simetric.co.uk/si_metals.htm While human bones consist about 20% of your body weight, Wolverine weighs about 195 pounds without the Adamantium. So his skeleton weighs about 10 pounds (bone claws probably help round it off) Your jaw bone has a density of about 1.85x that of water. But your bones aren't just solid material, there's marrow and the structure of the bone fibers that make up your bone. Meaning there's some space in there. Conversely a pure metal coating would be naturally denser and wouldn't take much to really add weight. Adamantium is a dense metal but it's not super dense and doesn't derive all its durability from just its density, which was what I was trying to say. If you wanted to create something as hard as Adamantium from just density then you would need something weighing tons to make any other known metal that tough. But Adamantium is really an alloy and derives most of its strength from its molecular structure. As for strength, Wolverine isn't really super strong. The Adamantium just lets him use peak human strength without worry of hurting himself. So can bench 800 pounds. The Guyver is closer to 40 tons using the same scale. The Adamantium does give him more momentum in his attacks but the vibrational shock wave the swords produce would absorb at least some of that impact energy, leaving just sword to claw pressure as they clash. That's how I see it anyway.

Possibly, this breaks down to energy concentration. A Nuke spreads its energy all over, and releases more than one type of energy, but the Guyver weapons focus energy very efficiently. The head beam for example has been revealed in the VDF to draw its power from the internal body heat of the Guyver, focusing its energy into a powerful infrared laser. So it really is a heat vent but is so efficient it can be used as a weapon. But this gives some idea of how much energy is flowing inside the Guyver to generate that much heat energy. The Mega Smashers I've calculated a conservative estimate of being equivalent to the energy release of an atomic bomb, or about 10 kilotons of TNT per smasher cell. But unlike a nuke all that energy is channeled in one direction. Similarly the vibrational swords would focus all their energy to the blade's edge, so the concentration of kinetic energy would be extremely high. But considering how tough Adamantium is suppose to be, it'll probably take some resonaunce for the vibrational swords to do any real damage. As for the weight, a stone or metal stature of a person can weigh over 500 pounds. 100 pounds isn't really super dense for metal and durability isn't always determined by density. Take bucky paper, a material based on carbon nanotubes, which is 1/10 the weight of steel and 250x stronger. If they ever figure a way to bond that stuff to bone then we may have some real life Adamantium  DARPA already has the rights to a laser based process of bonding metal to bone without heating surrounding tissue.

Well let's start by looking at real world ultrasonic vibrational tools. http://www.freepatentsonline.com/3774659.html http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2000/...00414081101.htm http://ndeaa.jpl.nasa.gov/nasa-nde/usdc/usdc.htm Those devices though are a fraction of the power of a Guyver vibrational sword, which as I understand it has such a high oscillating frequency that it produces a continuous sonic boom like shock wave at the blade edge. Effectively giving the sword a kinetic energy blade on top of the vibrational sword blade edge. This is probably why it can slice through any known material like it was slicing through air. Add a guess estimate that the Bio-Armor material is about 20 times stronger than steel probably means the Guyver Swords will definitely put Adamantium to the test. However the stable molecular structure reference wasn't about density (like liquid metal molecular structure makes it twice as strong as Titanium but isn't denser), otherwise Wolverine would weigh a lot more (probably need something close to Neutron Star density to equal Adamantium's durability by density alone), but rather the arrangement of its molecules. Like a diamond, which has a crystalline molecular structure that works off itself to give the material its inherent hardness and durability. Adamantium can be basically seen as a diamond version of metal, retaining the properties of metal but having a molecular structure that makes it extremely hard just like a diamond. So it breaks down to how easily it's molecular bonds and structure can be changed by kinetic energy alone, but considering how durable Adamantium is I do not believe the Guyver Swords have the required energy. (Even though I've calculated the energy of the Guyver weapons to be pretty high, 1 ton of TNT worth of energy for the head beam alone as that's the amount of energy needed to vaporize a bullet in mid flight in a tiny fraction of a second) However if the swords can match the resonance frequency of the Adamantium, something that may happen from prolonged contact (I theorize that the swords may also be generating white noise vibrational frequencies that help it lock to the resonance frequency of the target material), then it may be possible for them to slowly crack the Adamantium, which is probably how Death's Head II managed to break one of Logan's claws. Also unlike the rest of his body the Adamantium in Wolverine's body doesn't regenerate, but the Guyver's Vibrational Swords do. Meaning wear and tear advantage would go to the Vibrational Swords, especially over a prolonged battle. The Guyver also has the advantage of Strength, so unless the Adamantium claws can break the Vibrational Swords then it could break down to just a matter of time.

Non-humanoid Guyvers
zeo replied to WarriorZoalord's topic in Guyver Science / General Science Lab Forum
No, it's just that we were never shown anything but a mental image of the Creators and that was represented by their CM's floating in the air, since they were all in mental communication with Archanfel. Officially we have no idea what they looked like but nothing about their technology suggest they were energy beings, rather it's far more likely they were organic beings. -
It's the host mind using the sonic orbs, and a human mind isn't really set to mimic sound patterns precisely. Unless of course the CM does the mimicking, but this is basically an unknown. All we know for sure is the host can use them to talk and as a weapon. Anything else would either require years of practice or is not one of the Guyver's abilities. It's just technically possible given the nature of the sonic orbs. The data files basically describe the Vibrational Swords as specialized Bio-Armor that vibrate at high frequency, producing a shock wave that breaks apart the molecular bonds of any matter the swords are used on. A comparison would be the common bull whip, the tip is accelerated to super sonic speed. The cracking noise it makes is the tip breaking the sound barrier and the damage it does is because the tip is enveloped in the shock wave and is how an otherwise soft/dull material can cut through flesh like a knife. Also the shock waves released when two vibrational swords clash is probably just a tiny fraction of the kinetic energy the swords are directing and focusing at the blade edge of the swords. Since only the blade edge only came in contact in that scene and that represented only a tiny fraction of the surface area of the swords. P.S.> Something of possible interest in the field of mind control by one life form over another (like how Zoalords can control Zoanoids), http://io9.com/5015317/a-parasite-that-ind...ove-in-its-host

Depends, Nano-Technology promises to make possible many of the same things the Guyver Unit allows the host. It's mainly the whole dimensional aspect of the unit I think will take a long time to come up with, but even then I think we would have the technology before the next millennium starts.

Another well known Marvel character meets Tony back at his home, black ops style, and asks if he'd be interested in joining a certain organization they plan to put together. Also Tony does a cameo in the new Hulk movie, and he may be the one to build the new Captain America Shield.
-
Yes, like I said, the orbs reproduce the host vocal patterns. The host doesn't have vocal cords with the unit on and doesn't breath the same way. So all sound can only be produced by the sonic emitters. Since the voice isn't being generated by a physical voice box (vocal cords, etc) then the pattern is being derived from the host mind. Meaning it is technically possible to produce other voice patterns, it's just not what the human mind is normally geared to do. But since the sonic emitters are basically super advance speakers it would be technically possible just like it is possible to play any sort of sound over a speaker system. Though this is why the Guyver Voice sounds like he's talking through a speaker in the anime.
-
Hmm, technically yes as the nature of the sonic orbs is to produce sound and a white noise blast means it can do so over all frequencies. But mimicking someone else's voice may not be possible unless the host can train their mind to make the unit reproduce the same vocal patterns. Cause right now the emitters just project the host vocal patterns... Though this is straight from the host mind since the Guyver removes the vocal cords when it bonds.

I would imagine that the Matrix would either eventually merge with him or will eventually do so at his will. With the Matrix he could have immense potential... possibly enough to even deal with Anubis and the WG2 Creators as potentially a Matrix Bonded being has the potential of eventually becoming an ascended being of immense power. So pretty much any way you cut it who ever gets the Matrix and has millions of years of experience would become insanely powerful. Without the Matrix though, WG2 lacks the immense capabilities of a Gravity Shield but his CPM's and HSL still would allow him to perform incredibly powerful attacks. Similarly he could use his HSL and CPM's to store an immense charge of energy that he can call upon in an instant and his CPM's can similarly be used to manipulate his local space/time. So he could make himself incredibly fast, or phase through objects, increase his density. He could manipulate his CPM energy into physical weapons, similar to the Enforcer Kavzar. He could acquire combat abilities similar to XT, channeling bio-energy like XT can plasma energy. He could create conduits into hyper space that result in massive explosive discharges. He could even manipulate the CPM field to produce a attack similar to Destrol's White Hole blast... His main limit would be he wouldn't be able to store as much energy as WG can with his Gravity Shield and also wouldn't be able to extend his power far beyond himself. For perspective though a WG with 2.5 Million years would have greater range and total power but otherwise they would be very similar. Story wise though, if WG2 spent millions of years before arriving on WG Earth and WG didn't have a similar time frame of experience then WG2 would of course pawn WG in every way.

I would say both yes and no, the Banshee uses sonics but has an incredible range of control that goes far beyond what would be practical with just using sound as a weapon. Like using sonics to fly, etc. The Guyver Sonic Busters I would say, from my understanding of sound physics, is just basically a controlled level use of sonic white noise. Meaning they produce vibrations across the whole spetrum of sound and at high enough intensity to induce vaporization/atomization. Basically white noise is similar to white light in that it is the sum total of the whole spectrum, so when you hear someone is using a white noise generator the reason is because they want to test out something being exposed to all possible frequencies. Like to find the frequency of resonance of a particular object you can use white noise and see which frequency you get feedback from instead of testing each frequency individually. A white noise weapon would thus be effective against all objects, it'll just use more energy to cover all those frequencies. Frequency tuning is thus more efficient but unless you are after only a specific target then it is not always practical. Like the scene in which Gigantic Dark uses the Sonic Busters on Imakarum destroyed not only a few of Imakarum's horns but also the tower structure far behind Imakarum. If the sonics had been tuned just to Imakarum then they wouldn't have been as effective on the tower, which would have had a different resonance frequency. Sonic atomization is actually commonly used to turn a liquid into a spray, http://www.daintreescientific.com.au/ext_s...g_Atomizers.htm , scaled up and vastly increase in power and we can see how it could be possible to atomize something on a much larger scale. It'll just take enormous energy to pull it off but the Guyver is incredibly powerful and such energy levels appear to be within its capabilities. The physics breakdown of sonic weapons are that they are based on sound waves, which in turn break down to shock waves traveling through the air. Just like a shock wave from a bomb blast they are just waves of kinetic energy, except in a sound weapon you would get a series of such shock waves that either work off each other, as in resonance, or just accumulative in effect. Basically sound energy is absorbed just like any other form of kinetic energy. But with either resonance or accumulation you would cause an object to increase in molecular vibration as it absorbs more and more kinetic energy. Simple physics dictate that if you introduce energy at a faster rate than it can be absorbed then the material will absorb the energy as heat, so as you ramp up the amount of energy you send to the target you will eventually cause the molecular vibrations to increase to the point that the material will break down and vibrate apart. AKA Atomize. For example with some ultrasound devices you can cause the surface of a water to evaporate but not heat the rest of the body of water, basically cold steam, the sonic energy just transfers energy faster than the water can absorb it so the surface transitions to steam without the normal accumulative heating normally involved. Keep that effect going and you will eventually turn all the water into steam. This could be why the sonic busters can be very localized in their effect, like when G1 used it to blow off Aptom's forearm from the elbow when they first fought. Or when G1 used the sonic busters to drill through a wall by just limiting its power so he didn't just blast all the way through. Some samples of real sonic weapons for comparison... http://www.newscientist.com/article.ns?id=dn1564 http://www.defense-update.com/products/v/vortex-ring.htm http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/4418748.stm The Noskov and Myumelzee generated zone of stopping all vibration in the air can be basically an example of noice cancellation, sound waves of the same frequency can cancel each other out, on a massive scale. As I see it they basically just created countering sound waves that blanketed the area and together countered the propagation of all sound. Tetsuro's glasses cracking at the edge of the field is I think proof of this. In turn I see it that G1 just generated a powerful enough sonic blast that disrupted that field and then went on to atomize both zoanoids. Since sonics breaks down to kinetic energy and superior kinetic energy will of course win. That's how I see it anyway.

For comparison lets look at some other sci-fi characters... Take Cable from X-Men for example, the techno virus he was infected with was kept in constant check by his psionic force of will. Even when he slept he had to constantly keep it in check. Imagine this sort of mental training and how Jason could apply it, Sunspot for example acquired some of that training from Cable and it greatly improved his abilities. Like before he had to be in direct sunlight to activate his power but after he could transform at any time as he kept a constant charge of solar energy. To an extreme you can look at something like Yu Yo Hakusho's Spirit Wave Orb, taking Cable's type of mental training could allow Jason to focus and contain an enormous charge of gravitational energy that he could use his HSL system to contain. Meaning he could tap its enormous power at will without having to charge up all the time as he normally would have to do. Essentially giving Jason the equivalent of Dark Nova's singularity, he just would have to maintain it by an act of will but after millions of years of mental training it would be as easy as breathing for him to do. To emphasis lets do a what if and say Jason did take the long way back and only revealed himself at the time he would have otherwise had returned. Between the ancient zoalords and other similar factors he would had plenty of opportunity to explore his abilities over the last 2.5 million years. But Jason's greatest strength is his force of character, the same reason he would never become a zoaform and clings to his humanity would essentially keep him the same man. Like Duncan McCloud of Highlander, he's basically totally human and totally incorruptable (brain washing by Anubis not withstanding ). That said, he would probably know his sister was alive and allow himself to be captured but from there things will change... When confronted by the Bio-Titan, Jason would just absorb the bio-blast the Bio-Titan fired that would have originally blasted a hole through him and then casually fires it back ten times more powerful and obliterates the Bio-Titan. WG2 shows up thinking Jason taking on Chronos by himself is too arrogant and when he confronts WG and tries to CPM speed boost WG just stops him cold with as he holds out his hand and traps WG2 in a gravitational field. Wags his finger in a no, no, tsk, tsk gesture and then with a wave of his hand send WG2 hurtling explosively out of the Chronos base at near half the speed of light and can't stop himself until he's way past the orbit of the moon. Jason could use his blast field and manipulate its dimensional properties to alter his local space/time. Doing things like accelerating his person time by 10x so would have speed rivaling the Present G2's super speed. He could focus and control gravity energy to increase his physical power to incredible levels. A mere pressure cannon could become a mini-black hole blast. Even in human form Jason's ability to tap his blast field at will would allow him to manipulate his person time for super speed and could pull off some other tricks like Zoalord like gravity blade blasts and flight. He just wouldn't be able to Bio-Boost like he can with the Matrix. It is true that this means it is unlikely Jason would become Dreadnought but he would know about the Gigantic and could easily see the potential of the Matrix. His by then powerful mind could easily then just will Dreadnought into existence. But this ultimately makes him a fic ending character so it's a good thing our Jason is still so young

A second evolution is possible but evolution doesn't follow a set clock, sometimes evolution of a given species can even take million year breaks. It all depends on how well adapted a species is and whether the ecosystem puts any pressure on them to adapt. Since Darwin first proposed evolution our understanding of it has greatly improved, simple natural selection or survival of the fittest is not the rule or even real basis for evolution. Rather evolution follows the law of conservation of energy and is in balance with the ecosystem. Genetically there is a level of continuous variation and mutations but these changes don't necessarily take over unless they provide an improved adaptation... Eventually these adaptions can accumulate into a new species but this takes a very long time and only really happen if a species if forced to adapt. Switching from water breathing to air breathing for example uses the same genes, just configured differently. Showing how conservative evolution really is. The discovery that our genome was smaller than thought was one of the revelations that showed just how conservative evolution is and what is trully possible without ever having to increase the size of a genome. Our own evolution for example appears to have been spurred by drought that caused deforestation that forced our primate ancestors to learn to walk upright to more efficiently travel over wide open spaces. We evolved the ability to sweat and the cardiovascular system needed to run marathon distances. Meaning our early hunter/gathering ancestors simply outran most prey as no other species can keep on running for as long as we can. Add limited resources and an increasing range of prey species meant there was pressure to increase intelligence, the brain takes a lot of resources to support. So is something that requires both a large intake of food energy and cost benefit for a given organism to justify. So consdering how hard it was for us to evolve in the first place it would take similar stresses to cause us to evolve even further, but for a species whose primary adaption is intelligence it should be considered that until modern times our intelligence hasn't really faced anything it needed to further adapt to. Also the occassional near extinction events would reduce genetic variation that would help bring about the accumulation of mutations necessary for evolution. Meaning it's entirely possible for humans to have remained the same for millions of years, it all depends how well we survived and whether the conditions for further evolution was sufficient to cause it.
-
Well yes and no... Like McAvoy has hinted at what Jason could be capable of after so much time would be quite significant despite the limitations of his unit. After all PG is just a normal Guyver but despite that he is capable of things that would be beyond a normal Guyver... A Warrior Guyver though is naturally more powerful and capable of so much more... Basically Jason could potentially make himself as powerful as Dark Nova, at least for a limited time, if he could perfect both himself and master every aspect of his unit... specifically the HSL and Gravity Shield.

Standard Guyver Speed
zeo replied to jedi-guyver's topic in Guyver Science / General Science Lab Forum
Originally we didn't base it on anything. The numbers were already floating around the Internet back when we first started the site. Don't know where they originated from, probably from one the early vinyl models that provided basic stats on the side of the box, but so far they seem to fit and so we still use them. Official data files really only state the speeds of zoanoids, but we know from them that hyper class can go 45 MPH and faster. Some are rated at 90 MPH, though Thancrus isn't specified he was designed for speed and during X-Day was seen assassinating someone and moving so fast that the crowd only saw a blur. The Guyver is faster than Thancrus and we have a scene in the Manga where G1 runs right past a moving car that spun several times before stopping, indicating the car had been going fairly fast as well. Also the scene just before it shows G1 shooting forward even as the wake of the blast field could still be seen knocking down a sidewalk tree but G1 was already half way down the block before the tree was even halfway falling down to the ground... Indicating an acceleration greater than 1 G. A cheetah has 1 G of acceleration for comparison and can go 0-60 MPH in just 2.5 seconds. So overall I'd say the 250 MPH top speed is a good ballpark figure. Now for the flying, we don't have as much to compare to but we do have scenes where the Guyver seemed to just vanish and we know they flew away, but only the Gigantic has actually broken the sound barrier, so this too seems to match up to 300 MPH figure. The momentum enhancers stated rating of 10x also suggests this if you take 1G acceleration for 1 second and multiply it by 10 gives you about 218 MPH, the Guyver can probably push that a bit past 1 second of acceleration, which brings it to about 300 MPH. Assuming of course wind resistance as a stop gap from further acceleration. -
Guyver0 in the WG universe is part Creator and the Creators in the WG Universe had given themselves some human characteristics to better utilize the Unit Bio-Boost as part of the Warrior Project. So he is a bit more advance than the other ancient humans. Faye is also special... Archanfel is probably what they considered a perfect human form, since he was their masterpiece... While Zeugma and Kron are both Zoalords created by the Creators, so are similar to Archanfel even though they were born as normal humans. Though true the original host of Guyver0 appeared much like a modern human, just with a lot of hair since he probably never shaved. The Time Line of the Manga though is in dispute... though at least one account places the Asteroid incident at 10 million years ago, Barcus has stated Archanfel has slept for 10's of thousand of years. . . Assuming this was sleep from the time of the Asteroid then it would seem to dispute the previously mentioned 10 million years by Agito. However Silha island was formed by tectonic plate drift, which would take millions of years. . . So I'm siding with Agito on that one, others have expressed different opinions though. For the WG fan fic we had the Creators come back AFTER the Asteroid incident and start the Warrior Project, which is why in the WG fan fic the Creators have only been gone for 2.5 million years, because they spent over 7 million years on the Warrior Project before the Time War event forced them to leave.

: If Jason let Faye use the Warrior Gigantic, one obvious good reason would be so she can protect Fiona (Since Faye is the better Warrior), and assuming the unit is compatable with her Praetorian Unit then she would be 15x with the ability to push herself to 20x and Bio-Doubler herself to 40x but due to extreme power that the BD would flood her system with that she could only maintain it for less than half the normal time limit. Praetorian Units are powerful but their level of technology is not equal to a Matrix bonded Warrior Unit. HSL systems are also always limited by the host, since the HSL uses the host to regulate the Bio-Boost energy and nothing can push this technology further than the Matrix. It should also be noted Guardian is actually 6x, her CPM is integrated into her HSL system to super charge it from 6x to 10x. Giving her a full 4x boost versus the limited 4x boost a WG2 unit is normally limited to. But this also means her unit is already pushing the limits of the host and thus she would not get as much of a boost from the Warrior Gigantic as it gave F-WG. Even though she would be more powerful, just not proportionally more powerful.

Well the actual time line for modern homo sapiens goes back further than 100,000 years. The oldest fossil record from Africa is about 130,000 years old. Many put our actual origins at around 200,000 years ago, with 250,000 being the present extreme possibility. There is even evidence for modern humans in the Near East sometime before 90,000 years ago. That said though, there is nothing to say evolution is either a continuous non-stop process or that it has to happen at a given rate. Army ants for example have remained virtually unchanged for about 100 million years. Orchids have been around for about 84 million years. Prehistoric species of fish have been discovered in isolated caves, identical to the way they were in ancient times. It all breaks down to how well a given species is adapted to their ecological nitch. The more they have to adapt the more they will eventually evolve... Evolution can even go in reverse if the needs of adaptions require it for a species to survive. Human's though don't need to physically adapt, since we can use our brains to adapt to changing conditions. Our adaptations have been mainly mental ones... The two biggest changes to human society has coincided with genes that effect the brain for example. But physically there has been little change through the course of human history. . . Most of which was regional adaptations to the climate and conditions of a given region. So even though it is unlikely modern humans have been around longer than 250,000 years, it doesn't mean it isn't possible that we could be a very old race after all... About 75,000 years ago for example a caldera erupted and effected the whole planet so badly that the human race was almost wiped out. We were down to under 10,000 total. Some even put it down to about 2000 total, and from them all modern humans came from. Limiting a species gene pool of course limits genetic diversity and the potential to evolve. So if such events were fairly common then it could easily limit how much we could have evolved, even over millions of years... Multiple evolutions of humans is an alternative explanation, the great number of similar species like chimps and apes for example means humans could have evolved more than once... Neanderthals for example go back 350-500 thousand years ago, meaning we are a parallel evolved species that co-existed with them to about 30,000 years ago. Though some evidence suggests they were still around up to 24,000 years ago. And another possible co-evolved species, though much controversy still surrounds them... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homo_floresiensis

The Aceaer Unit is the first step in developing a Kavzar, the addition of a Control Crystal is what transforms it into a basic Kavzar and perminently bonds it to its host. So the Aceaer contains the building blocks needed to create a Kavzar, with the control crystal being the missing piece needed to fully activate the technology. A Guyver CM would thus make it into a hybrid of Kavzar and Guyver technology, similar to Proto Guyver but without the contol crystal it would be more like a regular Guyver, since that is the technology the normal Control Medal is designed for. But the Aceaer technology would be incorporated into it as that is part of the function of the CM to combine the characteristics of host and unit and the Aceaer organism would thus bring its own characteristics into the mix, just like the Gigantic brought some of the Relic characteristics (back thrusters and 12 power amps to name the obvious two) to the Guyver. The combination however would not be as effective as a standard Guyver using an Aceaer Unit would be, just more compact like how the Aceaer appears on a Warrior Unit, since the CM would make the two one and the same.

Hmm, well lets see both the Cold Fusion experiment and Ironman's arc used palladium.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palladium http://chemistry.about.com/od/elementfa ... ladium.htm Basic cold fusion theory is that since palladium can absorb about 900 times its volume in hyrdrogen at room temperature that the pressure within could be high enough to induce fusion. However, though excess heat is detected and the heat level does seem well above what you could get from a chemical reaction. The lack of the usual byproducts of fusion and inconsistent heating, probably due to lack of purity in the experiments, is why cold fusion has been knocked down to pseudo science. So mainstream scientists refuse to believe any form of fusion is going on, but the fact remains something is happening and it remains unexplained. Thus why cold fusion research just won't die. Since Tony specifically used palladium in the construction of the Arc that we can say the writers of the movie also thought it was a real enough possibility for a super duper power source that wouldn't fry Tony in the process... Since normal hot fusion takes place at a million plus degrees http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aneutronic_fusion http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muon-catalyzed_fusion http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fusor http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dense_plasma_focus
