I got fed up of people lining up to suck his **** basically everyone is gushing about what a gifted person he is then he gets all these parts on credit just because he did lord of the rings. I would understand if he got jobs strictly on merit of his abilities but it is clear that is not the case. it's a similar situation to helena bonham carter and johnny depp being in every single tim burton movie. get a role on merit and suitability for teh role, okay , but get the role because you happen to be friends with a few people, that is not cool. if he is playing a character that is not CGI then I would say I have yet to see him give a good performance on a live action role. if they got him to play a CGI character then I can only say that is cheap casting. not in money terms but in terms of creativity.

one name on there made me deeply unhappy. Andy Serkis. even worse, I'm looking at the IMDB page... WHY is Andy Serkis being placed ABOVE The original cast??? what is up with people casting this overrated gimp?
-
I don't tend to keep archive files except for my own work and basic scanlations. You should ask Cannibal though. he keeps everything.
-
hey that one is pretty awesome! it looks like our original scan of that one is not very good quality. it seems very blurred.

guyverfan, why not make it a proper poll using teh poll options? (unless for some reason it's not available) anyway, mirabilis for sure.

My grandmother is also not well. She seems to have dementia. I know she is still the same person. it's odd and a little sad. But I have my own beliefs in life and death so I don't worry too much. I can't say that it helps anybody else, it's just my personal experience. I believe that people are more than the sum of their parts. my grandma is more than just her body. she is part of me and everyone she has ever spoken to. Any time I want to talk to her, I just have to close my eyes. I still think she is mostly healthy anyway, it's just her mind. I wish they would legalise cannabis as I understand it can help dementia greatly.- 34 replies

I put the main parts in font size 14 and the elaboration in font size 12 so people could skip the extra bits and just get teh summary. I think i'll change that to font size 10 though to make it clearer.

that's why i view it as a scale. actually a scale is a simplified version. I mean for gender identity there is something like this Male ------------------Neutral-------------------Female but this is very simplified because some people identify gender queer, gender fluid, agender, etc. gender neutral may be a perfect balance between male and female but some people feel positive that they are a positive absence of male and female gender. and gender fluid are people who tend to flip flop between male and female. So in that sense I agree with what you are saying.

Really sorry to hear about your losses. it may not be so bad as it could have been but still, this is your memories that have been wiped out isn't it? that's not easy to deal with.

This is something I have done a lot of research on due to my own unique circumstances. Here is how I would present what I have learned. There is a spectrum of states that any person can be in and there are also more categories than most people realise. majority of people think there are two categories in people, sex and sexuality. so for any given person, that could be straight male or gay male or gay woman etc. Our society does not yet have the mechanism to explore people's condition more accurately. yes there are some terms such as tomboy or sissy, etc. some are derogatory and some are weighted. I will now present the different categories. There is physical sex, gender identity, gender expression and sexuality. There may be more categories, but this has not yet been identified. There is also the problem of people thinking that these are binary states, that people are either one or the other. so for physical sex, people think there is only male and female. but actually there is varying states in-between. there are plenty of women with physical traits that are more masculine than the average woman. Then there are intersex people which can't be adequately defined either way. Even people who were born one way, can change further on in life and there are various conditions that cause mosaic genetics. one such condition called klinefelter syndrome produces people who generally turn out looking more male due to the presence of a Y chromosome. the Y chromosome will always produce an increase in Testosterone to such a degree that Testosterone producing cells will form. in the gonads. It's a fairly controversial area since any presence of testosterone will automatically lead to a person being labelled a male even if they were originally supposed to be female. There are also things like polycistic ovary's and thyroid issues. It was thought once upon a time that female was the default for humans, but studies have shown that the ovaries have to fight to stay as ovaries. there is testosterone in the female body in small amounts for various processes and the exposure to T would end up turning the ovaries into the male form of cells. they wouldn't be testicles, but they would be testosterone producing cells. I can't remember the term. For gender identity, this is basically what a person feels in and of themselves. It's a difficult one to pin down, but generally speaking most people fit the gender they were assigned at birth. so the doctors look at the child, they announce it's a boy and the person identifies as a boy all their life and are happy that way. This is pretty much the mental aspect of sex. most medical text these days hold the physical to be king and the mind to be subsequent to that. There fore the person who has a gender that differs from the perceived physical sex is deemed to have a mental disorder called gender dysphoria. Another term that is used commonly is transgender. transgender is an adjective that describes a person who has differing physical and mental sex, or differing gender and body. This is seen by many as a weighted term as well since most people have come to believe it as being a person who is born as one sex but then decides they don't want to be that any more. Any people I have met who are transgender are pretty clear in that they were always the gender that they feel they are inside, their body was just developed wrong. For gender expression, we have people who are happy in their physical form yet wish to express themselves in ways that do not conform to society's set standard for gender. So a girl who lies a lot of rough sports, is showing a gender expression not 'typical' of a girl. This is an area a lot of people may be very familiar with as it is very fluid and most people have their own area where they express more feminine or masculine as they expect for their own sex. More extreme forms of crossover in gender expression are known as cross dressers or Drag queens / kings. Yes there is a more derogatory term called transvestite but it's not seen as a kind term these days. Then Sexuality, of course most people are very familiar with this. Sexuality is a matter of preference when it comes to relationships. Anyone can be any combination of the above.

sounds like in that dream you were completely exposed and vulnerable. perhaps a reflection of how you felt in your life?

nice I once did print out some guyver manga with my own printer. not a very good result because the pages got a bit soggy, but I actually do have a little tiny bit of english printed manga. Anyone can do the same thing and nobody would be any the wiser.

What the hell LOL! Stuff we wonder about...

I think he looks lovely. hey guys remember that there are people in this world with mental disabilities too. the world takes all sorts. they don't always conform to somebody's idea of *normal* -
That is pretty impressive! how did you do that? that is not all the same image is it? you must have used another image or took elements from elsewhere?
-
I don't think it's fair to shoot it down completely without acknowledging the benefits and the advantage of it. I think it was a really good idea. We all know Aether has not got a bad bone in his body so I think we need to fist acknowledge the value of the idea before we condemn it.
-
I think anybody giving these files to a professional printing company would raise a lot of red flags and that would be bad for us.

yes no it depends that would be an ecumenical matter friday at 2pm as long as it's not raining big and pink with yellow polkadots so in summary, I agree with you on that aspect. But you know what, women have a layer of subcutaneous fat that may protect against wind chill. Also have less fat around internal organs I think, so can get quite cold in certain conditions. I get very cold at my friends house and he doesn't feel it at all. Sometimes I think I'm going mad. I do tend to wrap up warm wherever I go. I do prefer to wear boots wherever I can get away with it. -
oops!! Sorry I said this was originally done by me and Jade Tatsu. I am certain I had worked on this originally, but upon looking at our current version before replacing with Guyver Alphas upgrade, I am certain that is Bbdude's work.

it happens all the time, you just don't realise it. most people call it coincidence. It's not coincidence it's merely about attention. your mind can only focus on a very small amount of information at one time. It has an incredible filtering mechanism that is part of our evolved survival program. we focus on what we need and our brain learns that pattern and i time, the brain automatically takes actions to get that thing without us even thinking about it. we need to cross the road on a regular basis, the brain develops mechanisms to help us do that. I assume you drive? you don't really have to think about it much any more do you? your brain takes care of it. as more and more people focus on the same things, these things become a subconscious automatic action for all those people. it becomes crowd behaviour and can have startling chain reactions all across society. these things such as social constructs are result of this phenomena. when people are linked intrinsically these effects can result in particular actions. the way a person stands can have a subconscious signal to others around them a dangerous person can be perceived by a crowd of people and given a wide berth for example. also various forms of behaviour can have detrimental effect on a specific individual. by following through this line of reasoning, we might start to see how a fanbase starting to believe that their series might be abandoned, might in some fashion lead to the author deciding to abandon the work. This is not exaggeration. it is how the law of attraction works. look at Evangelion.

Okay, you mean as in it will attract bad karma. Law of attraction means, what you focus on is what you get. If you spend most of your time thinking about what it would be like to have lots of money, you will probably end up with lots of money. Over simplified of course but that is the general gist.

I would really love to see that. it might be a project that I could work on when I'm not working on my re-edit of Naruto. I wouldn't work on it by myself. I'd have to work with somebody.

What's for dinner? Literally, sort of...food discussion.
Jess♥ replied to Chernaudi's topic in General 'whatever'.
I find it to be expensive too, to use fresh meat at each meal. I used 300g of beef but that will spread over several meals since I store the stew i cooked. -

Never ate crabs. might try one day. today I cooked for teh first time In a long while. I bought some beetroot, potatoes, carrots, onion, beef, garam masala spice, garlic. did all the normal sauté and stuff etc. and made a stew/mild curry. warning though... do not eat beetroot raw. it is not a pleasant experience. it has some kind of bitterness that caught at the back of my throat for a while.
