ok cool, I will continue what i had previously started. the imakarum image is obviously up to scratch, I'll concentrate on doing some suitable images for the zoalords. I changed alternative to 'pseudo zoalords'. I chose that term because we have had the word 'pseudo' used before for the pseudo black hole. i think it accurately describes something that could be considered a zoalord but isn't quite the real deal. I'm not sure if re-writing would be best. i think if we have the translation of the data-files, then perhaps the translation can go on those data-files. the technical bits for our wiki, I believe has different information? including observational data that is from looking at what happens in the manga and some comments that may be made by characters. one thing I need to ask of you. can you tell me what the words say next to cablarl brain mode, referring to his height. I guess it's saying that it's his height minus the spikes, but i don't want to produce an image for the article before i know how tall he is and i can put my guyver 1 silhouette on him. also, I could probably translate myself but after doing a fair few images, I feel like i don't want to be searching through kanji radicals right now.

well image editing is my better skill so if you want me to prepare certain images for you, just let me know.
-
didn't you already have them? I know for sure that they were scanned in and at one point i think you were translating them. they are the ones in the "new vdf2" folder. http://www.japan-legend.com/guyver_advocacy/New%20VDF2/

i used to have the aptom recast thing. actually, It was aptom and elegen in one kit. I didn't make the aptom version, I made the elegen instead. oh and if you want to make custom figures, I have a broken guyver 2 figure that i wouldn't mind letting go of for a reasonable cost. the break is in the knee. the joint got stressed and snapped.

well it seems you did exactly what i had in mind! amazing job!! hopefully if i feel this way tomorrow, i can do some real work on some of this. help you out a bit. i'm thinking... some kind of diagram. or an organisational chart of sorts. hmm, must think about it another time though. or i shan't get to sleep.

i have a clear idea how i would like it to be, but to be honest since you are doing all this work, It's unfair for me to impose my ideas on you. if you try a certain thing and it works well, I think that is excellent. I think it would be cool to make small pages and virtually stitch them together but i think it's a bit too much for me to expect. so i'll just say, yes i think that as hyper zoanoids are highly unique, they should each have their own page and their different forms should perhaps go on that page. then any links from another page can go to the same page. neo-zxtole would link to the page for zxtole.
-
do you remember how we fit templates together, my thought was to have information on the character on one page, then the two different zoanoids in separate page, then those two page would be placed INTO the character page.
-
if you propose removals on the discussion topic for those pages, we can all of us consider it. there is much verbose writing in some pages. I think when writing, it needs to be careful not to write too much that is not totally relevant to the subject. not always easy to do, that is why an article is always better when one person has written a lot and then somebody else edits it. for me, It is important to show some information that fans may wish to know without checking in the manga. things like the first appearance of zoanoid, terminology that is used and whether it has an official definition. fan envisaged definitions, locations and events that have occurred. timeline, showing how long it took for certain events to occur and in what order. where each character was at each point in time. all of these things would not be overly wordy, since if a person wants to read the story, they read the manga itself. I guess it is more suitable to describe it as being like the VDF but expanded a fair bit.

maybe you can check the options menu in your word processing application? please let me know if you manage to solve it.
-
no, i don't think it's to do with what font you use... the font they use may not have the required character. see... in some word processing application, the program replaces some characters with different characters. for example, for an apostrophe, on a keyboard, the apostrophe is impossible to type. the key will produce the following ' which is an inch-mark, not an apostrophe. if your word processor is changing it to an apostrophe, it is possible the website does not use a font that has an actual apostrophe.

sounds good to me, like an overview. overview can have facts such as who made him and what his power level is and summarise. history, or character description can have relationships and behavioural tendencies. after abilities, we can have deployment info. who he fought and where.
-
the trouble with that is there is no official term for these things. we can only really put down real facts. anything else that is a fan theory or observation, can be put in a different section. can you give me some specific info about your trouble uploading images? i think more information is good. like his first appearance in the manga. I think that sort of thing is something somebody might want to know. to help in looking up other information.

I believe this page can be streamlined and provide a good template for other zoanoid pages. instead of having a paragraph explaining his team, his zoanoid type and who made him etc, we could make a template box for all zoanoids showing this information if and when available. so we could have zoanoid type - hyper zoanoid rank - team leader of team 5 creator - barcas or similar it wouldn't have to be a SET template, like one that would be completely mirrored on other pages, just a sort of style guide for quick short facts.

This is the discussion topic for the wiki article: Zx-tole

yeah, I agree. the additional pages would likely be the ones arranged in 'advent database'. that is information ported from the old pages at http://www.theguyver.net

lol [emote=monkey]yay[/emote]congratulations!![emote=monkey]yay[/emote] so.. about that fanfiction thing.. it couldn't be to do with font could it? some characters present in one font but not in another?
-
well your posting is ok, if you are having problems putting information in the wiki part, just post them in a forum post and i'll put it in the other bit for you.
-
oh that's nice! I think i have the same actually, I just had some lovely coffee and a big serving of onion bhaji's.

probably a little less than 700 maybe you will beat me in post count!!

i think that information is all fan stuff and not really canonical. I don't agree with senjutsu being placed as a sub group of other jutsus. I don't really want to confuse things but that list actually seems to cause confusion because from what i've read and watched, I usually remember details very well. yes ninjutsu is normal techniques and does include clone, summon and a few others. yes taijutsu is converting chakra into physical energy. yes genjutsu is creating illusion and hypnotic type stuff. senjutsu doesn't come under those at all. senjutsu looks like a energy gathering jutsu. and it obviously moulds chakra in a completely different way. well about the others.. I think it's looking like it could get confusing so I don't want to assume anything. I think judging by what has been presented, sealing, space/time etc. offers more different types that could be accurately classified without the author stating for definite. after all, we don't know what the 'six paths' were for the sage of the six paths. it was never said that it was 6 jutsu's. I guess i was just musing another thought... do you think juubi was actually created in the same manner as susanou? you know, like an extension of the rikudo sage's chakra? and another thing, notice how the eyes of juubi looks like a mixture of sharingan and rinnegan eyes? and kyuubi's eye is the same as orochimaru's eye.

i decided to look at the manga for some important parts. the orochimaru fight when 4 tails appear, that was quite incredible in the manga. I think the manga was much better back then. recently the manga has become very convoluted.. i mean in the latest chapter, there is one panel where i had to spend at least 3 minutes looking at it before i figured out what the hell it was showing. in the end i figured out it was a side view of the persons midriff. but i think reading the manga after watching the anime is ok because then i know what is going on and i can concetrate on the other parts. like.. the emotion in that was very strong. also, I really enjoyed being able to add my own feelings to naruto's anguish and it gave me a very distinctive sound in my mind for kyuubi's howl. very eerie. i don't think the anime allowed for that really, it was very impressive in a different way. i really got to imagine the feeling that naruto must have been experiencing with the burning of the chakras and the blood coming from his body. I thik i'll read the manga more fully from the begining at some point. after i watch the anime for a second time, maybe a third. not sure. anyway last thing i want to say, after i read over chapter 499 again, I noticed something very significant that i didn't notice before but i made a similar observation on my own.

senpai is more accurate in terms of transliteration. but both are exactly the same. as you would pronounce it, sempai is the most accurate english representation. in hiragana - せんぱい

Kamen Rider OOO spoiler/update thread
Jess♥ replied to Toku Warrior's topic in Japanese Entertainment
I want to say something i think is quite important. i noticed a few people writing ozu including myself. only because i am lazy and didn't read the kana, but i just read the kana and it is o-zu. i think it's important because if i further Anglicise both, ozu becomes oz o-zu becomes o's so i think it's an important distinction. -
toku warrior, that is awesome, thanks i might change my mind (a little) about this new series based on your work.
-
thanks matt for sharing. it's nice to celebrate people's work. you do so much quality guyver fanart. my favourite is guyver 2 but i'm not sure if it's just because i like his design.
