i usually read them on mangastream. I think they're hard to get ahold of now before a certain number of chapters. i think they keep 5 back issues online.

how do you have your tea?(or other hot beverage)
Jess♥ replied to Jess♥'s topic in General 'whatever'.
that sounds very odd! but i don't know what tapioca is. probably some kind of grain. but milk tea? well tea always comes with milk. thats the done thing. it was invented by the british. tea didn't exist before then. [emote=monkey]nudge[/emote] seriously though. in the uk tea always comes with milk so yeah it's definitely classed as tea. I'm pretty sure there is no starbucks in my town. and we have a population of 60,000 so that is surprising? -
oh did he? I don't remember that, but i trust ya. oh yeah actually, I'm remembering something.. about his control of the chakra or something... something I noticed last night. I'm advocating the anime here. the manga sometimes leaves things unclear. watching last night the latest episode. danzo is very different to how i initially thought. the anime really made it clear what sort of a person he was. in the manga, he appeared like just a bad guy, but in the anime it showed how he really did love konoha and just wanted to protect it as much as he could. everything he did, was for konoha. it made me a little sad actually. also, it made me think about danzo and sarutobi and how their relationship relates to naruto and sasuke. although it is flipped a little. sasuke was really skilled and full of negativity. sarutobi was full of light and full of skills. it's like the skill level was reversed.

that's a good clip, that guy is pretty funny XD

to be honest durendal, I'm the same as you. i can't remember exactly when it happened either but i do remember my feelings upon seeing it happen. ..... ..... hmmm.... ... you know what. I am REALLY curious to see how he will use his old shadow clone trick with his new techniques and newly found energy. that zetsu army is not so much of a challenge in my mind. although they've already taken quite a hit of course. I'm just thinking of how naruto has adapted to his drawbacks in the past, how creative he is, i think we will see some wonderful stuff.

awesome, congrats! you got what you want to do.

in terms of skill, he is so focused and able to keep kyuubi bound by his technique. he is able to use all that power due to his skill. it's no more power than he ever had before, he is simply learning how to control it. remember the fight with orochimaru. and with pain. that power unbridled, ws able to be combated by those opponents with lower power but better techniques. it's all about technique for naruto to get better at combat. yeah i noticed he went sage mode while moving. i thought it was pretty clever. he must have gathered the energy as he was travelling. that's some amazing focus he has now.

yeah i'm pretty sure it was 1991-92 somewhere round there. it was released in the uk as a 12 part series in around 1994. why not go into the advocacy area and bug durendal and erutanxiku to get a move on. they got up to around chapter 3 so far i think.

don't worry you didn't insult anybody. you're welcome to feel however you like about it. i just think that you may have misunderstood it. the story telling style... well it was made in 1992 so think about the manga and where it had gotten up to at that time. takaya sensei's style has improved a great deal in 25 years. if you can imagine what the whole of guyver would feel like without the more recent volumes existing... the cumulation of the story that existed up until that time is actually of a very different quality to what we know now. the early volumes of the manga had little character development and a lot of posturing. think about guyot in the first volume of the manga. he is a very different character than the guyot we know now. the 2005 series does seem to fit with the style of the manga as it is now. but if i were to compare it to the earlier volumes of the manga alone, it doesn't seem to fit at all. i'm not sure if this is an easy thing to consider... I remember reading guyver manga back then, i had the whole viz set and i remember what it was like when the whole of guyver as i knew it didn't surpass volume 8. I remember how i felt about the manga then, and it was a very different feeling to how i feel about it now. edit: I'm aware that guyver advocacy hasn't done these earlier volumes so I can probably understand if you don't have any way to read those earlier volumes.

you're talking about two separate series'. they are put together for a 12 part series outside japan. and calling it a fanfic?? how could you? this was the first taste of guyver for many of us here. they just changed the story round a little bit to make the pacing better for what was originally supposed to be only six parts. many fans consider this the pinnacle of guyver, the pacing the music, the atmosphere, it just embodies what guyver is to us. if this series never existed, this website might never exist. it's what made me a huge fan of guyver and why i came to the manga and why i started this site and the guyver advocacy group. just take it as a self contained thing.. kinda like a movie, and you might see it differently

that's nice, It's funny how different we interpret good weather. it has been very dry in the uk so I would really welcome some rain. we have had a bit but i'd love a lot more.

damn, that sucks. to understate it. glad you're ok, but that must be very difficult to have that happen to your home town. glad to hear you got into your chosen college though.

yeas it still looks like a fine movie. I'd like to go watch it.

What live-action series are you watching or have you watched?
Jess♥ replied to Toku Warrior's topic in Japanese Entertainment
i have started watching nihonjin no nihongo shiranai. it's really entertaining. especially since it is about language, language learning and language teaching. there is comedy involving the use of words etc. i think I'm gonna enjoy this series -

I'm usually right in my instincts so I'm not watching hero or gto. they are probably very good in their own right, just not the sort of thing i am looking for. so since i have only 1 more episode of otomen, I have acquired two more series. the first one is BOSS. it's about a ragtag team who are got to be beaten into shape by a tough lady. could be interesting. second is nihonjin no shiranai nihongo, which i believe means the japanese that japanese don't understand. it's one i mentioned earlier. I like the look of it because of the fact that they are concentrating on english language. -
ho ho ho, very nice! I was really impressed, some great morphs there

ha ha ha I kinda stopped again. i dunno, when i have a choice what to watch, I prefer to watch other things. i'm not sure that i can get into one-piece. I stuck with it for a while and I'm wondering if it is really necessary to force myself into something. to be honest, if i was gonna get into it, I would have liked it from the first episode.

Anime you are currently watching and/or Downloading

no, I've got no withdrawal or anything even remotely like that. I've got a spot in my daily schedule that I'm trying to reliably fill. watching naruto was like being welcomed into a family. when naruto finishes, it's like being cast out. it was something i could count on to be there every day. each night, I knew i had that to look forward to before i go to sleep. so i tried that ano hana. boring. it seems like complete slice of life. nothing really unique. I thought i would like slice of life, but then i realised the ones i had watched like soremachi, actually have mysterious events happening. and it has a intriguing comedic style. maybe i'll watch that gundam 00. as you said the other ones are old, I can probably forget about them. -
I realised I did not make a PS3 thread for you guys who own one. there is a 360 gamertag thread but no ps3 one so here it is. I don't have a PS3 but I am seriously considering getting one. since I wish to play portal 2 and the system requirements are absolutely insane, I will need to play it on a console. can you believe it requires minimum 3Ghz processor? i went into comet and they don't even stock a machine that high. the highest they have is a 2.8Ghz. so who has one and what is your .... profile name? I don't know what they are called. but if you all share your profile then whoever has one can link up.

wow, thanks guys, you wrote so much.... and it's so confusing, and i really can't follow it. so I'm afraid it didn't help. do you have a 'in a nutshell' version? about what is good about gundam? or at least something that doesn't involve so much complicated things? i dunno if i can watch it because i am thinking it may not be good for me to get involved in such a large franchise. after watching naruto it was difficult to adjust to having no constant series. dragonball was a substitute of sorts but it still left me with a difficult adjustment when kai ended. I don't have a series that i watch every night now and maybe it is best that i don't. or maybe i can make sure i take a different approach if i do watch it. so i decided to pick up an anime that taka subs are picking up. it's called ano hana. haven't watched it yet so I dunno if it's any good. -

is that all like political and stuff? I never saw a gundam before and have no idea what it is all about. you just said its really good so there's no point me asking if its any good. but i guess i can ask, what is good about it? -

I decided to look back over the posts because i was sure you had mentioned two actresses in relation to this. here is the post i remember so yeah, as you just said. aye, i did not recognise her.. i think because in densha otoko she was graceful, demure, withdrawn somewhat, and romanticised. in yama onna kabe onna, she was pretty much down to earth, almost boyish and aggressive. -
how about this:- when we consider subatomic particles, we see talk about quarks and gluons and whatnot. the thing is, scientists could not detect these things in the past, and you or I had no way of knowing about them. the way these things are arranged create various forces such as magnetic force, gravity force, etc. there is easily a way for these things to be arranged in such a way that they do not interact with our own particles but do interact with each other. this would happen in much the same way as that particle that scientists detect but goes right through us all the time. there is a pool of water deep underground for detecting these things but i can't remember what they are. so how many types of particles are interacting in the same space as you or I? we wouldn't know because the properties of those particles don't affect our particles. there could be a being just like you or I, walking right through me at this moment. but there is nothing to say these particles cannot produce certain ways of interacting with us?like. maybe those particles can create electromagnetic fields under certain circumstances?

hmm i watched ep 1 of hero. not sure abut that. it's got so many american style locations, i don't like the feeling of that. so i think i'm gonna look for somthing else. I considered gto but when i saw how old it is, i immediately decided against it. I don't like old things like that. i think i'll have a look on dramawiki to see if there is something hby the same productoion company as mei chan and atashinchi no danshi.
