I don't know, I always thought apocalypse was very impressive. also, mr sinister seemed to have a good story going on with cyclops. I like the proper rogue, who could fly and was insanely strong. for some reason I liked x-man, but i think he was from another dimension or something.

I believe there could be ways to improve on the formula for OOO. but I think the whole thing is rather complex. I am uncertain what the director is trying to do. what his intention is for eiji. eiji is a unique character, I haven't seen one like him before. it is like the way the purple medals are attracted to him. he has no ambition, he has no desire. the way he fights, is reflective of that. if i really think about it, I believe his attitude and fighting is similar to the behaviour of a depressed person. a person who has no desire or ambition. eiji seems to be a positive person, but his lack of desire is indicative of a person who is in a deep depression. -------------------------------------- Another interesting though from all i have gathered so far was and can speculate is the upcoming Dr.Maki vs Eiji. As to,why the purple medal went to them. Dr Maki was only interested in the end.Nilihism. Eiji was not interested in himself.Heroic Selflessness. Thing is,this still lacks the punch to turn it into something great.Nilihism vs Heroic Selflessness would have been an interesting conflict of ideals. And in the end,was ether any better than the other? But i don't hear anything out there is building up towards that. I don't think it's heroic selflessness. I think it's regret. he regrets not being able to save those people. he has layered a false optimism over that but he punishes himself by not allowing any riches or even a comfortable way of living. by not allowing himself to have any desire. it is remorse that he is filled with and he is trying to make up for it with each fight, but i think he is doing it for the wrong reasons and this is why his desire is not strong. it is why he doesn't go out of control. except with the purple medals. because those medals are medals of void. emptiness. what the void medals latch on to.... doctor maki desires the destruction of all. eiji desires the destruction of self.

wow, you know what? this film really was so good, it has had a profound effect. It has relit the fire inside me that I once had for x-men. I am thinking back to the few comics i used to be able to afford. I had some comics from the onslaught saga back in the 90s. thinking back and remembering how much i loved teh xmen back then. I had totally forgotten that feeling. I'm thinking of reading some x-men comics now.

heh heh, well you have some skills which i could use. your patience is certainly something i can't match. i don't have that kind of patience to replace all the shaded areas like you did. looks like we have similar tastes in our working ethic doesn't it? I had not specifically studied the techniques you had used but it looks like we did pretty much the same thing. although, I did add some extra details to mimic the original effect. I used a splattering brush in the white area to cause an uneven shape and then used a rotating blur filter to get the effect on the white. the green is just the result of using the magic wand to select the grey pattern area. then the green is on a layer that is set to screen or overlay or something like that. oh and of course, as is usually the case, i went through the layers fiddling with the opacity and whatnot to get the right look.

I went to see this today. I don't feel this movie can be compared to the other x-men films. as far as I'm concerned, those movies are trash. this was a really good movie. it helps that it was directed by the same guy who did stardust! I really enjoyed it, the casting was brilliant, especially for banshee, i really liked that guy. the way i think of banshee, that guy WAS banshee. brilliant. erik was so impressive. I loved to see how he approached situations. that actor did a brilliant job as well.

I think this is the book that durendal would like scans from most of all. I need to make sure though so I'll wait for conformation before i start doing stuff. don't want to waste any time.

as a comedic farcical series I think this can be very enjoyable. the different attachments for his arms and legs looks very funny and entertaining I'm wondering what will happen over the next few years. kamen rider was moving in to take the audience that was lost by super sentai. now it seems to be moving in the same direction and becoming more accessible for younger age groups. super sentai seems to have picked up the reigns this year and is finally at a stage where it can compete with the decent series of several years ago. the influence of disney seems to have been cleaned off and now we are getting quality. will kamen rider remain aiming at this age group or will it start to aim for older age groups again? or will we start to see more series like garo that aim for older target audience?

heh heh, things will only truly get better when i have my own house. but yeah it has been better recently thanks. you are right about the stars aligning.

ok, which book do you mean? because both books have images and information on sentai robo's. one is information about teach series, the actors, the bad guys and the robos. the other book is about the toys. it has production design of each robo and the image of the toy. I'll take a photo of the important section from each book for one series. not now though. tomorrow.

ah is that where garage sales come from? those things don't exist here either. although we do have 'car boot sales'. I guess that is a similar thing. yeah we don't take rugs out to clean in spring because we don't have rugs really. we have fully carpeted floors in the living space and lino in the kitchen areas. there are exceptions of course but i think that is the norm.

oh good! I'm glad that this is a good haul, I thought it was. I look at the size and quality of the pictures and am very impressed. also, in the dedicated books, there are lists of information like episode guides etc. my reading is quite good but i find this a bit of a struggle so I couldn't type them in myself, I was thinking i could scan them in at a good quality and then you could use them for your future projects. the original owner of these books is not going to return for a few years and the things that were left behind seem to be unsafe so I'm looking after these. for all intents and purposes they are mine but i need to take care not to damage them. so I can't get full scans of the entire page as i have to be careful not to damage the spine. so I am in favour of 'holding back' on any big scanning because it'll be awkward. what would you want mostly. how much can you tell from the video? if you have a look see what you can spot, then i can take photographs of some of the pages of whatever you are interested in, then i can scan those that you decide you want. I've seen some pretty nice images of zabee and other kabuto riders that would look really nice on our kamen rider kabuto page. there are also some images here that would be very useful to those who like doing wallpapers and banners.

wow. a little late! I wonder how the ratings have suffered as a result? I'm not sure if i'll watch the series. I'd hope for it to be broadcast on a weekly schedule so that i can follow it like i normally follow kamen rider and super sentai. and naruto.

you are having a few troubles lately aren't you? hope things turn around soon I've been a bit upset with some people lately as well. it must be the time of year.

I decided to fiddle with this design so as to 'fix' the lazy design on the bug eyes. I was thinking about how to use the space helmet fascia and somehow incorporate bug eyes into that. a similar thing has been done with ryuki so I thought about space motifs that have a similar setup. i thought of space shuttle widows. so I used that to alter the image a little. here is what i came up with. I'd love to hear your views.

well done bobby, you fixed it. to a certain degree. that first image is so sweet, I think i need to go to the dentist. and those detailed images front back side, show some interesting things. some nicely done details and textures. why do the early promo images always look so awful? I do think this design could have been better though. I mean, it is like they took a space helmet, styled it to look like a rocket then thought ... hm, we need to make this kamen rider style. so they glued two eyes and antenna on the front. the incorporation of those bug eyes and antenna is definitely VERY LAZY design.
