Okay. I know this sounds silly. But according to Sean Barker. Werewolves are zoanoids. From what Sean saw on the news and what he talked to Mizuki about.

So does this mean that certain zoanoids are allergic to silver according to the myths associated with his comment in the Guyver 2: Dark Hero?

It was not only in the movie, it was mentioned in the manga too. All of the urban monster legends were descendants of zoanoids. I do not think they are allergic, so much so as the urban legend played the "phone game" the monster had to have a weakness to make people more comfortable with it.

Pure myth and superstition.

I assume just like the Garlic and crosses against "Vampires". Probably to give people hope in a world of monsters back in an age of unknowing. Just like religions that are now proven to be false in the Guyver world.

Silver does not hurt werewolves more than iron, gold or lead would. At least not according to folklore. The silver thing is an invention of Hollywood.

Silver dose work against some supernatural entities however it effectiveness has be over hyped by hollywood.

Iron has a lot more lore behind it due to its effects on the Fay Folk of the British Isles and Europe mythology.

Primarily vampires, undead and some Demon are the only thing that jump to mind however this is normal only we blended with holy or mystical power. However most of this is not as old as some of the original legends. So all in all if you do ever meet a supernatural being do not use silver.

Fire is more often then not a good universal weapon as most monsters will fear it even if they they have no special weakness to it.

Hell by original law the weakness of such beings are down right weird. Lets take the Jiangshi also know as the chinese vampire that feed on breath/chi rather then blood. Its weakness are are the blood of a black dog, a wooden sword made from a peach tree, a hen's egg or glutinous rice

For western vampires it was customary to stuff the head with garlic but other options used were salt or a brick!

As I've said above Iron is by far the most effective weapon  as it stated to affect not only Fay but also vampires, dijnn and many other magical creatures.

...Come to think of it, the amulet bearing the Seal of Solomon is supposed to be made of silver.

Silver in mythology was primarily as a symbol of purity and thus a ward against evil/corruption...  For Zoanoids, it depends on the Zoanoid, what many seem to be forgetting is simple bio-chemistry.

Silver and most silver compounds have an oligodynamic effect and are toxic for bacteria, which makes them effective in Anti-Bacteria and Anti-Microbial usages.

Keep in mind that there are all sorts of Zoaforms and depending on their particular form and ability they may have a vulnerability that normal humans wouldn't have or have a worse sensitivity to something.

There's also different forms of metals, like liquids that can be poisonous/toxic... Heavy metals especially can accumulate in the body and be absorbed through the skin...

Mind, a legend could be based on truth that is simply distorted or exaggerated and doesn't have to be 100% effective on all creature types as Werewolves are only one of a entire of shape shifters, in this case Zoanoids.

After all there are people who are allergic to all sorts of things... including plain old water...  So not impossible for Zoanoids to have weird vulnerabilities for at least a certain type...

In general, though, it's unlikely any one thing will effect all Zoanoids... However, all Zoanoids are created with a virus used to alter their DNA/RNA... So something like silver could possibly be used to interfere with that process... Possibly increasing the chances of a Lost Unit, if not outright interfere with the Zoanoidification process... So, someone still being processed could possibly be effected...

Perhaps, in the naturally occurring zoanoids that throughout the ages.

I think chronos would have removed any such weaknesses from their own zoanoid types though.

Not all weaknesses can just be removed if it's based on the intended Zoaform design... For example, one of the reasons Vamores have a slow rate of fire is because they use a chemical laser that produces toxic byproducts that their bodies have to deal with each time it is used...  So it takes time to cycle before they can safely fire again...

Another example  are Zoaforms that use chemical explosives will always run the risk of those chemicals being triggered by an external chemical... among other examples...

It's pretty much impossible to prevent all potential vulnerabilities, especially with highly specialized zoaforms...

This brings up the question of: if a normal human with a metal allergy were to be processed, would that allergy still affect the processed human? There are people with silver/gold intolerance in various degrees of severity.

Probably not. Zoanoids are entirely different to a human so allergies would disappear.

Making a human into a mini Godzilla is a feat of genetic engineering. Being able to overcome allergies would be even easier than child's play.
